Cardi B And Ice Spice Cooled Off Rumors They Have Beef With A Cute Photo From ‘Vanity Fair’s Oscars Party

You know how women in hip-hop keep telling us that all the supposed beef between them is all in fans’ heads?

Cardi B and Ice Spice just proved it.

The above picture was taken at Vanity Fair‘s annual Oscars party this year. Ice Spice sent it to Cardi on Twitter after Cardi asked if she could see it while engaged in an intense discussion of race with an influencer, Raymonte Cole (it’s a long story).

After Cardi and Raymonte referenced Ice Spice, the “Think U The Sh*t” rapper popped up herself to offer a correction. Not appearing to take offense in the slightest, Cardi politely requested, “Can you send me that pic you took of me wit ya camera from vanity fair? Thank youuu.” Ice obliged, and with that, hopefully ended about a year’s worth of utterly nonsensical rage-farming, Twitter trolling, and Stan war flame-fanning that has honestly been tired since before anyone even know who Ice Spice was.

Of course, the primary drivers behind the discourse discord, the Barbz, are losing their sh*t, but at this point, I would hope we have all learned they deserve precisely none of our collective attention, especially because that’s all they seem to want. Y’all can, like, join a bowling league or something. Of course, some fans are STILL trying to frame the whole exchange in antagonistic terms but I guess life is either really messy or really boring over there.

Anyway, now that Ice Spice has apparently been in direct proximity with both Cardi B and Latto without violence, perhaps my dream of a “girl rap” Avengers carrying Joe Budden directly to the dumpster his podcast takes belong in is one step closer.

iHeartRadio Awards: Latto & Ice Spice Cross Paths On Red Carpet

The venues of award shows have seen plenty of celebrity catfights over the years, but at the iHeartRadio Music Awards on Monday (April 1) evening, we were impressed with how two rap divas in particular handled themselves. While sauntering down the red (well, yellow) carpet yesterday afternoon, both Latto and Ice Spice looked stunning. The former showed off her thigh thighs in a pretty, deep red mini dress. Meanwhile, the redhead went with another all-black look, this time switching out her usually long, straight hair for some subtle waves.

In a video that’s making rounds on various blogs, we can see that the “Deli” and “Big Energy” hitmakers were in the same area at the same time, though it’s unclear if they actually saw each other. As Spice stops to pose for photos, a crowd can be heard screaming in excitement from beyond the barrier. As she turns to walk away, Latto comes into view, taking some snapshots before heading inside to mingle with other creatives.

Reactions to that on social media have been mixed so far, with some suggesting that Lil Mama would’ve been a better contender after channelling LeftEye in the 2013 Crazy Sexy Cool biopic. Regardless, Latto gave it her all as the iHeartRadio audience watched on. Other big moments last night included Beyonce accepting the Innovator Award from Stevie Wonder, as well as SZA taking home multiple trophies for her breathtaking sophomore LP, SOS.

Though she was calm when unexpectedly crossing paths with Ice Spice, Latto brought her signature “Big Energy” which we love so much to the stage when performing with TLC. In lieu of Lisa “LeftEye” Lopes no longer being with us, the 777 hitmaker stepped in to rap her bars in some of the girl group’s biggest hits. Read what social media users are saying about that at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Ice Spice Failed To Live Up To Her Name, Joining The ‘Hot Ones’ Hall Of Shame

In the annals of Hot Ones history, only a handful of the show’s guests have been unable to complete the gauntlet of Wings Of Death. Unfortunately for breakout star Ice Spice, she has joined the rolls of the Hall Of Shame, failing to finish her interview, despite having “Spice” in her name (I swear I did not mean for that to rhyme). At least she’s in good company; fellow rappers who also dropped the ball include E-40, Lil Yachty, Pusha T, Quavo, and Shaquille O’Neal (if we count his four rap albums of the 1990s).

The “Boy’s A Liar” rapper is working up to the release of her debut album, Y2K, which she said releases this year after finishing it earlier this month. Host Sean Evans got some insight into her creative process, which is the opposite of the usual “record 50 songs and whittle it down” approach. He also invited Spice to explain how she writes her catchy hooks, her car test, and her bond with producer RiotUSA, including the iconic “Stop playin’ with ’em, Riot” tag.

However, despite Ice’s prediction that “I think I can get through this,” but as with others before her, the sauce that took her out was the infamous #8: Da Bomb: Beyond Insanity. She tapped out just ahead of wing #9, saying, “I’m not gonna do that to my throat,” as the Hot Ones producers played a montage of prior early withdrawals. She seemed to be a good sport about it, and maintained her composure better than some (there probably won’t be too many memes hitting the socials from this episode) while delivering some truly good answers, she just couldn’t get over the line. Better luck next time, Ice!

Shaq Claims He Wasn’t Flirting With Ice Spice In Viral IG Post From Super Bowl

It is crazy to think the Super Bowl was only one month ago. It was a thrilling game, being one of the few in the history of the NFL to go to overtime. However, outside of the action on the field, there were a lot of other funny subplots going on during that weekend. Shaq and Ice Spice were two celebrities not named Taylor Swift or Travis Kelce making big headlines that evening. The two respective superstars were seen photographed together in Taylor’s suite during halftime. Shaq wound up posting the picture of him, Spice, and Swift with a caption that went viral.

“Ice Spice so dam fine,” the former NBA legend wrote. Of course, fans ran with that, speculating that the Big Diesel was shooting his shot. However, according to TMZ Sports the opposite is true. In one of Shaq’s recent episodes of the Big Podcast With Shaq, he cleared up the rumors as to why he actually posted it, caption and all.

Shaq Was Just Being Nice To Ice Spice

“The reason why I put out the post with Ice Spice, not ’cause I was trying to flirt, but I didn’t really blow her off, but I just wanted to show her some respect too.” He continued, “That’s why I put the post up because I was in there and it was all about, ‘Oh, Shaq met Taylor’ and [Ice Spice] was in the picture.” Furthermore, he knows how he flirts with women, and this was not that. “I don’t flirt like that. “Just ’cause I say ‘hi’ don’t mean I’m tryna slide in the DMs.”

What are your thoughts on Shaq saying he was not flirting with Ice Spice in his picture with her during the Super Bowl? Do you think he was telling the truth, why or why not? How do you think the rapper took the post? Was this the funniest moment from Super Bowl weekend? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Nicki Minaj’s Barbz Finally, Inevitably Turned On Ice Spice For Allegedly Recording With Kanye West

Before “Barbie World” became as inescapable as every other aspect of the Margot Robbie-starring film, music fans were wary of Ice Spice and Nicki Minaj’s newfound friendship. After all, Nicki and Megan Thee Stallion appeared to be fast friends during the “Hot Girl Summer” of 2019, and we all see how that ended up.

So, it comes as no surprise that Minaj’s most enthusiastic fans, the Barbz, have taken it upon themselves to call out Ice Spice for perceived disloyalty over allegedly recording a verse for Kanye West. Earlier this week, influencer YesJulz shared a screenshot of a text thread between herself and West — presumably from before she was “fired” from YZY for supposed breaches of contract — in which Julz claims she sent the beat for Kanye’s song “New Body” to both Doja Cat and Ice Spice to see “who sounds best.” Only a day later, Kanye reported via his Instagram Story that the “Munch” rapper had indeed sent verse, but lamented that “her team is saying we can’t use it.”

Members of Minaj’s fanbase — and even her entourage — sent shade at Ice Spice for even sending the verse in the first place, as Nicki had previously refused to clear her verse on the track for the first installment of Kanye’s Vultures project. The Song, which Nicki and Kanye originally recorded in 2019 for placement on his since-canceled project Yandhi, had seen multiple revisions, leaks, and other issues, which spurred Nicki to deem it “past its time” and refuse permission to use it — something West took very personally, calling her out in a listening party rant that seemingly put paid to any friendly feelings the two artists have shared. It’s also telling that he went to two ostensible Minaj proteges in Doja and Ice, perhaps hoping to get under her skin. Or, at least, that’s how many Barbz seem to perceive it, as seen in the representative examples below:

There’s a lot to be said here, but I think this sums it up best:

Nicki Minaj’s Barbz Tell Ice Spice To Tread Lightly After Discovering She Submitted A Verse For Kanye West’s “New Body”

As most Kanye West fans know, he has been working tirelessly to get out some version of “New Body” for a few years now. However, his attempts have been futile. Nicki Minaj was the original feature alongside Ty Dolla $ign. But last December, the Trinidadian superstar declined to clear her verse. The reasoning behind her decision was that too much time had passed. It led to a passionate response from Ye as he mentioned how supportive he has been throughout her career. However, more life was breathed back into “New Body” after some leaked texts from YesJulz revealed that the track was sent to Ice Spice and Doja Cat.

Unfortunately, the hype was short lived as Ice Spice’s team said that they would not clear her verse either. That led to Kanye again venting his frustrations via Instagram story. “ICE SPICE SENT A VERSE IN FOR NEW BODY NOW HER TEAM SAYING WE CAN’T USE IT.” When Ye went on that rant about Nicki, there must have been some animosity from the Barbz fanbase. We say that because Minaj’s fans feel that Ice Spice went behind her back by submitting a verse for “New Body.”

The Barbz are notoriously known for being a little too over the top when it comes to defending Nicki. This is definitely another case of crazies. For example, one fan tweeted, “I hate [that] Ice Spice has shown her hand. Going against the Queen will be the demise of her career. You don’t get in the game and make a move like that. It’s not about “being scared.” it’s about being loyal to ones that are loyal to you. This is why Nicki is the way she is.” One person did play devil’s advocate, “What if Ice called Nicki and talked about this when she received the request and Nicki gave her blessing 🤷🏾‍♂️

What are your thoughts on Nicki Minaj’s fans attacking Ice Spice for recording a verse for Kanye West’s “New Body?” Do you think the Barbz are the most ruthless fan base out of any artist? Are they right that Ice Spice betrayed Nicki? How do you think “New Body” will come out? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Ice Spice, Kanye West, and Nicki Minaj. Cardi B Is Surprising Fans With The Reason Why The ‘Munch’ Remix Collab With Ice Spice Never Got Released

Cardi B recently chatted with Speedy Morman for his 360 With Speedy show, where she revealed why her previously teased collaboration with Ice Spice for the “Munch” remix never hit streaming platforms officially. Fans might be shocked, but as it turns out, Cardi loved the song — her main issue was simply not being pleased about her verse reacing a level of perfection.

“I love the record, I did not like how I sound,” she shared. “You know it being on a drill beat, it’s not as easy as it [looks]… I was like, ‘They’re gonna drag me and they’re going to drag the song bad.’”

Speedy Morman then pointed out that Cardi B had dabbled in drill music before, according to Complex.

“Yeah, but that was a little bit more my speed because it was a little bit more aggressive,” Cardi added. “I’m really good at being more aggressive than being, like, more sexy. I feel like I’m better off being aggressive than being sexy. So I just felt like it was not giving, I was like, ‘I don’t even want to do this to this girl.’ The record is already great, I don’t want to f*ck it up. I just hated my verse… I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, this is embarrassing. I can’t catch the beat for sh*t.’ Doing drill music is not as easy as people think it is.”

Hopefully fans will get a chance to finally hear it eventually. Until then, check out Cardi B’s full interview, including discussing her Ice Spice collaboration, above.

Ice Spice Fiercely Clapped Back After A Fan Expressed Their Disapproval Of Her 2024 Oscars After-Party Dress

Actors Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Robert Downey Jr., and Ryan Gosling (aka our forever Ken) were the breakout stars of the 2024 Oscars.

However, Ice Spice was the talk of the official after-party presented by Vanity Fair. The “Think U The Sh*t (Fart)” rapper’s barely there black sheer lace dress left little to the imagination. Ice Spice’s garment was only rivaled by John Cena’s naked onstage cameo during the ceremony.

After photos from the party began circulating online, users weighed in on Ice Spice’s look. One user expressed disapproval, writing, “I wish her stylist would try harder… same lace bodysuit back to back.” The jab at the musician’s stylist, Timothy Luke Garcia, didn’t sit well with Ice Spice, so she fiercely clapped back, responding directly to the user.

“Let’s see u b*tches in custom Dolce,” she wrote.

This isn’t the first time users have taken issue with Ice Spice’s wardrobe choices. Back on Halloween 2023, her Betty Boop costume caused a stir. However, she isn’t apologizing for her sexy looks. She doubled down on her fiery response to the fan’s remarks on her Oscar look with a sprinkle of sarcasm. “Sorry for being a meanie,” she wrote. “I was only tryna hurt your feelings because you hurt mine :’P.”

Is Ice Spice’s Debut Album ‘Y2K’ Done?

For the past 18 months, Bronx rapper Ice Spice has been a fixture of popular culture. Breaking out with her single “Munch (Feelin’ U)” in the summer of 2022 on wave of social media goodwill, the 24-year-old artist has parlayed her TikTok popularity into a flourishing career. She’s collaborated with some of the biggest artists in music, including Doja Cat, Nicki Minaj, and Taylor Swift, starred in Super Bowl ads, and grown in both skill and stature, all while driving discourse about her supposed lack of talent — which only makes her bigger.

She’s done all this without putting an album out, by the way.

So, naturally, the question on a lot of interested parties’ minds is: when will Ice Spice put out her debut album? While she did feed fans a project last year — the EP Like..? — both her fans and detractors are waiting impatiently for her to release a full-length project. Both may soon get their wish, as she announced the title for her debut, Y2K, and her intention to release it this year. After months of teasing, she shared some good news on social media today: she’s finished recording Y2K.

Does that mean the album is done though?

I guess that depends on what you mean by “done.” If you mean “in a state that is fit for public consumption” the answer is most likely “no.” After all, while Ice might be finished performing her raps into a microphone in a studio booth, that doesn’t necessarily mean that the songs themselves won’t go through multiple revisions, from beat changes to adding guests and live instrumentation, depending on Ice’s vision. From there, the recorded tracks will have to be mixed and mastered — meaning that the sound levels of everything from ad-libs to hi-hats will have to be adjusted and matched from song-to-song across the project.

Then there’s marketing and rollout to consider. Which songs will be singles? Are the music videos and single packaging shot and edited yet? Will there be any corporate tie-ins with the release? Almost certainly in today’s climate, when brand partnerships are an integral part of the business. So, while Y2K is probably in the pipeline, it could be months until we actually hear it. But hey, a slow-roasted meal nearly always tastes better than one from the microwave. A little patience goes a long way, and hopefully, in the case of Ice Spice’s album, it’ll pay off.
