Lil Wayne Reunites The Hot Boys With Stellar Show At Lil Weezyana Festival

Lil Wayne finally reunited the Hot Boys (himself, B.G., Juvenile, and Turk) during his Lil Weezyana Fest at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana on Saturday (November 2). Per Complex, it was the Cash Money legends’ first time performing together in over 15 years. Their show, joined by Birdman and Mannie Fresh, followed a set from the Big Tymers and individual sets from each Hot Boy (excluding Tunechi, who performed a couple of songs with the guests), running through smashers like “Bling Bling,” “I Need A Hot Girl,” and “Neighborhood Superstar.” This was a long time in the making, and fans treasured every single second.

Elsewhere during the Lil Weezyana Fest, Lil Wayne also reflected on not getting selected for the Super Bowl halftime show in his home city next year. “That moment, I said to myself I want to be on stage at the Super Bowl in front of my mom and I worked my a** off to get that f***ing position,” he told the crowd. “It was ripped away from me. But this motherf***ing moment right here… they can’t take that, man. They can’t take that from me.”

Lil Wayne & The Hot Boys Reunite

What’s more is that Lil Wayne received an honor from New Orleans that wasn’t a Super Bowl halftime show, but it was a show of love, gratitude, and legacy that could transcend it. Mayor LaToya Cantrell presented him with the key to the city. “We love you,” she remarked. “This is your city and you matter for generations for what you’ve done, what you’re doing, and what you will do.” In addition, Master P announced that the “Let The Beat Build” will have his own days in NOLA (February 6 and 7) and that he will be among the first inductees in the planned New Orleans Walk Of Fame.

Meanwhile, fellow Cash Money alums Juvenile and Mannie Fresh said that they would be down to join Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime show in New Orleans next year if they get the call. Maybe Lil Wayne would have a different answer considering his Drake friendship, but in any case, there’s a lot of excitement for the Hot Boys and other NOLA icons to get their flowers.

On this date twenty five years ago, Dwayne Carter Jr. set out on his solo musical journey and dropped his first album The Block Is Hot on the Cash Money/Universal imprint. With in-house production exclusively from the one and only Mannie Fresh and executive production from Baby and Slim, Wayne’s debut set him out towards having legendarily anticipated debuts like The Carter series being possibly the best rapper of this generation.

Lead singles such as ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot”, which features Mannie Fresh and B.G., and the album’s title track introduced Wayne as Cash Money’s young gunner, who was already recording his major-label solo debut at the tender age of 16. The entire 17 track gem was certified platinum by the RIAA in less than two months of its release and is now a certified platinum album worldwide.

Salute to Mr. Carter, Baby, Slim, Fresh, B.G., Turk, Juvy, and the rest of the CMB for making this album a piece of Hip Hop history!

B.G. & Turk To Put Their Beef Aside Thanks To Lil Wayne In A Surprising Turn Of Events

Lil Wayne has seemingly pulled off the impossible. According to HipHopDX, the Louisiana rapper is hosting another Lil’ Weezyana Fest, this time in New Orleans at the Smoothie King Center on November 2. Tickets are going to go on sale Friday, September 6 at 8 a.m. PT on Ticketmaster. Cash Money label mate Mannie Fresh and Rob49 are two of the night’s performers, with more special guests coming soon. However, easily the biggest storyline from this announcement is the fact that this will be a Hot Boys reunion. That means that B.G. and Turk are supposedly on good terms now.

This is a major plot twist, especially considering just how ugly things were between them. If you remember, the Hot Boys were supposed to link back up at ESSENCE earlier this summer. However, due to some “business issues”, Turk was a no show, prompting B.G. to put him on blast on an Instagram Live. The real reason(s) as to why they were beefing are still unknown, however, when the former responded to the latter’s comments, he was bringing up the fact that he didn’t want to be disrespected.

Lil Wayne Is Helping B.G. & Turk Make Up With His Lil’ Weezyana Fest

“Disrespect won’t be tolerated, n****. I don’t give a f*** who a n**** is”. After that, things would heat up even further, with B.G. piling on in an interview saying that no one would care if Turk never returned to Hot Boys. Furthermore, the recently released rapper would go on to diss him on a YouTube exclusive track “Hands Up”. Overall, it still feels like things could take a turn at any minute, but if this remains true, then we are happy to see the Hot Boys getting the band back together.

What are your thoughts on B.G. and Turk seemingly making amends with one another? Do you think this performance at Lil’ Weezyana Fest will go over well? Do you think they will publicly speak about them reuniting? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding B.G., Turk, Lil Wayne, and JUVENILE. Finally, stay with us for everything else going on in the music world.

B.G. Comes For Turk’s Neck On Diss Track “HANDS UP”

Things between New Orleans, Louisiana rap group Hot Boys are weird, to say the least. Since their “reunion” at the Essence Festival a few months back, B.G. and Turk specifically are seemingly the ones with the most issues. Lil Wayne’s name can also be thrown in the mix too, so overall, there’s just a lot wrong. But back to B.G. and Turk. The former has had it out for the latter ever since he cited “business” issues being his reasoning for not attending. This set off B.G. big time, eventually leading to rant that still leaves a lot up to interpretation of what is exactly going on. “”It’s only one n**** ain’t in this b****, you heard me? He brought that on his self, you heard me? N**** did a bunch of h*e s*** and can’t take it back. He gotta fault his self for not being here”, B.G. said passionately. “The n**** know what he did last summer. And I’ma just leave it like that”.

Turk would go on to respond to that callout, starting a back-and-forth disagreement. Now, B.G. is taking things to booth today, as he drops “HANDS UP”. On the YouTube exclusive song, he essentially recites some of those same quotables above in addition to saying Turk should have never been a part of Hot Boys. The latter alludes to another previous video in which B.G. said that no one would miss Turk if he never rejoined the group. He ends of the song with some lines about how on real dudes should put their hands up. It will be interesting to see if Turk responds, especially given his previous statements. So, be sure to stick around with us for any updates.

Turk Doesn’t Understand BG’s Anger At Him Over Hot Boys Reunion

The Hot Boys are getting fiery, especially after their “reunion” at the recent Birdman and Cash Money set at the Essence Festival only had two of the four group members on stage together. Moreover, there’s a lot of tension between group mates Turk and B.G. now, with the latter blasting the former for not making it to the Essence link-up. He fired back with equal force, doubling down on the business issues that led to this internal rift between the group. Furthermore, Turk readdressed the issue in a YouTube video on his channel posted on Wednesday (July 10), citing confusion.

“B.G. to me has been very disrespectful,” Turk remarked about his Hot Boys brethren. “If I really did anything to you, brother, I can’t see you holding back and saying what it is. I don’t know what it is, I can’t figure it out. I can’t put no light on a lie. Homie made a statement saying I know what I did last summer. I know what I did last summer. I never felt a Hot Boys reunion could be done without homie.

Turk Speaks On B.G. Beef Once Again

Proof of that is every time we came together,” Turk continued. “For instance, LeBron James’ party. LeBron James in the middle of his speech shouting out everybody. I’m like, ‘Hold up LeBron, free motherf***ing B.G.!’ I was doing these things because you can’t have a reunion without B.G. and I think I probably made a lot of people mad about that when I was doing it.” He finalized his remarks by saying that, when he spoke to B.G. on social media, they were all good to his knowledge, so that might be why he feels particularly blindsided now.

“You n***as want that s**t to come together because you n***as f***ed up outchea,” Turk previously said of B.G. “I ain’t f***ed up outchea. I’m blessed and highly favored by God. Y’all got me f***ed up. I’ll say f**k a Hot Boys tour, n***a. Disrespect won’t be tolerated, n***a. I don’t give a f**k who a n***a is. Ain’t no Big I’s or Lil U’s over me, mane. B.G. better sit his motherf***ing a** down somewhere, man. That n***a don’t run s**t round here. Not with me. He might run that s**t with you n***as. He don’t run that s**t with me. He ain’t doing nothing but running his motherf***ing mouth. Them wack a** raps, man. That s**t wack, n***a. All you n***as d**k-riding around here, man. That s**t wack.”

B.G. Suggests No One Will Miss Turk If He Doesn’t Reunite With Hot Boys

The ESSENCE Festival saw Birdman try and form a reunion with Cash Money, specifically the Hot Boys group. Unfortunately, it did not work out in his favor. Lil Wayne, perhaps the biggest star of them all, performed alone at the New Orleans event. It seems that Weezy was fine with linking back up with his crew, but who really knows at this point. Another conflict includes B.G. and Turk. These two have been going back and forth online since the failed reuniting. Even though they all did not rock the stage together, every other Hot Boys crew mate was in attendance. Turk was the only one not to show, as he cited “business” issues were the root cause.

The excuse is pretty flaccid, as Turk seems okay with not rejoining the group. He made these feelings clear while clapping back at B.G. for dissing his absence at ESSENCE. “I’ll say f*** a Hot Boys tour, n****. Disrespect won’t be tolerated, n****. I don’t give a f*** who a n**** is. Ain’t no Big I’s or Lil U’s over me, mane. B.G. better sit his motherf***ing a** down somewhere, man. That n**** don’t run s*** round here, not with me”, Turk vehemently expressed.

B.G. Continues To Shade Turk

Now, B.G. is returning the favor in a pretty harsh manner. It took a while for him to make his point, but here is what he had to say in a recent interview. Overall, the Louisiana rapper proposes that if him, Wayne, or Juvenile do not return, then Hot Boys would not be the same. However, if Turk were to turn down the opportunity for good, then no one would care. LeToya Luckett of Destiny’s Child even caught a stray from B.G., as he compared his Turk to the R&B singer being left out of the trio. It seems that Hot Boys reunion album is a faint possibility at this point.

What are your thoughts on B.G. continuing to diss Turk amid the Hot Boys reunion drama? Do you think they will be able to reconcile and move forward? Will Turk respond to B.G. why or why not, and should he? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding B.G. Turk, and the Hot Boys. Finally, stay with us for everything else going on in the music world.

Turk Blasts BG For Dissing His Absence At Cash Money Reunion

You probably have noticed that there’s a storm brewing within Cash Money and the Hot Boys specifically, as the collective seems a bit fractured. Moreover, Birdman hosted a label reunion at the Essence Festival recently, but not only did Lil Wayne have a solo set instead of performing alongside his crew, but Turk of the Hot Boys was not present at all. He said he wouldn’t go and cited business issues as his reasoning, something that B.G. was not happy with at all. He blasted his group mate on social media, and now that we have a response from Turk, we can understand what’s going on a little better… emphasis on “little.”

It’s only one n***a ain’t in this b***h, you heard me?” B.G. expressed on Instagram Live, seemingly addressing Turk’s absence at the reunion. “He brought that on his self, you heard me? N***a did a bunch of h*e s**t and can’t take it back. He gotta fault his self for not being here. I know there’s gonna be a lot of people that’s like, ‘Oh, well, such and such, whoop de whoop.’ The n***a know what he did last summer. And I’ma just leave it like that.”

Turk & BG Diss Each Other Online

“You n***as want that s**t to come together because you n***as f***ed up outchea,” Turk clapped back online. Juvenile Announces Hot Boys Reunion: What We Know

In a major announcement that has thrilled fans of southern rap, Juvenile revealed that the iconic group Hot Boys is reuniting. The reunion will kick off with a performance at the upcoming Essence Fest in July, marking their first performance together in years. This news comes on the heels of group member B.G.’s release from federal prison, reigniting the possibility of a long-awaited comeback.

The Legacy Of The Hot Boys

Formed in the late 1990s, the Hot Boys are one of the most influential rap groups to emerge from the South. Comprising Juvenile, Lil Wayne, B.G., and Turk, the group debuted with their album Get It How U Live! in 1997. Their second album, Guerilla Warfare, released in 1999, solidified their place in hip-hop history, debuting at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and earning a platinum certification. The album produced hit singles like “We On Fire” and “I Need a Hot Girl,” which remain staples in the genre.

Despite their success as a group, the Hot Boys also achieved significant milestones as solo artists. Juvenile’s 1998 solo album 400 Degreez was a commercial breakthrough, selling over four million copies and featuring the hit single “Back That Azz Up.” Lil Wayne, who started his career with the group, has become one of the most successful rappers of all time, with numerous awards and chart-topping albums. B.G. and Turk also carved out their niches, contributing to the group’s overall legacy.

The Road To Reunion

The possibility of a Hot Boys reunion has been a topic of discussion for years, but it gained momentum following B.G.’s release from federal prison in September 2023. The rapper quickly took to social media to rally his former group members, urging them to seize the opportunity for a lucrative comeback. “Say Juve, there’s people on my line, man, about this Hot Boys reunion,” B.G. said on Instagram Live in September 2024. “Weezy, stop playing, man. It’s a big bag involved, man. Ya heard me? I know you super rich. I know you like Taylor Swift outchea. Come on, man. Stop playing, man. Let’s get to this bag.”

Interestingly enough, around the same time, B.G. released “Gangstafied” where he rapped, “My n***a Weezy steady touring but he’s b**ch and it’s showing.” While this left many fans confused about their relationship and the future of the Hot Boys, the parolee later cleared the air. “Shout out to my little brother Weezy. I spoke to my little brother last night. Shout out to shorty, man. Still my little bro. Love my little bro. This shit be complicated,” he said.

Juvenile Confirms

Juvenile responded enthusiastically, confirming this week that the group is indeed working on a new Hot Boys album and preparing for a tour. He stated, “Turk gonna be with me tonight, I’m gonna be with B.G. next week. Me, Wayne, Turk, and B.G., all of us gonna be on stage in New Orleans with Mannie Fresh and Birdman. And we already done started working on a Hot Boys album.”

Birdman’s Backing

Cash Money Records founder Bryan “Birdman” Williams has also been vocal about supporting the reunion. Birdman has offered substantial financial backing, willing to invest $100 million into the tour. “We definitely going on tour. I’m putting up $100 mil for it myself,” Birdman announced. However, he also tempered expectations by stating, “I ain’t guaranteeing that it’s gonna be everybody. I’m standing on business and that’s what it is. If it work out, it work out. If it don’t, it don’t. But we definitely gonna get this money, that’s for a fact.”

The Essence Fest Performance

The highly anticipated reunion will officially kick off at the Essence Fest in July. This event will mark the first time all four original members will perform together in years, alongside long-time collaborators Mannie Fresh and Birdman. The performance is expected to draw massive crowds, eager to see the legendary group back in action.

A New Album & Tour

In addition to their live performance, the Hot Boys are in the process of recording a new album. While details about the album are still under wraps, the group’s return to the studio signals a fresh chapter in their storied career. Fans can expect a blend of the classic Hot Boys sound with contemporary influences, showcasing their growth as artists while staying true to their roots.

The reunion tour promises to be a monumental event, celebrating the legacy of one of hip-hop’s most iconic groups. As anticipation builds, fans are eagerly awaiting more details about tour dates and new music.

BG Teases Upcoming Lil Wayne Collab: “He Gave Me Mixtape Weezy”

BG is back! The New Orleans rapper has been out of the spotlight for a long time, but he appears to be hard at work on a comeback album. The most exciting possibility of the B.G. comeback, of course, is an opportunity to hear him rhyme alongside fellow Hot Boys members like Juvenile and Lil Wayne, which is evidently in the works! B.G. hyped up his album during recent Instagram Live, and he confirmed that he’s been in touch with Wayne about a collaboration.

B.G. told Instagram Live viewers that he not only has a Wayne verse in hand for his album, but that he was able to coax out a classic performance from the Young Money mogul. “Weezy sent me the verse back for the album,” he noted. “I told him I wanted the mixtape Weezy. He gave me the mixtape Weezy.” The “Bling Bling” rapper went on to hype up the Hot Boys reunion tour, which does not yet have a legit start date. “We got this tour coming up, this reunion tour,” he claimed. “It’s definitely on the way. Fresh, Suga Slim and Weezy.”

B.G. Hyped Up The Hot Boys Reunion Tour

B.G.’s confidence regarding the tour is encouraging. However, it does contradict what fans have been told about the tour from Juvenile. In March 2024, Juve told TMZ that the reunion has been put on hold due to tensions between various Hot Boys members. “No negativity for me, no negativity for me, man,” he explained. “You know, with me, I always say it’s gon’ happen. It’s gon’ happen… Time heals. We gotta let ’em simmer down a little bit, and, trust me, it’s happening.”

The delay may actually benefit B.G. given his recent legal troubles. The rapper was behind bars from 2012 to 2023, but a recent probation violation could result in him being locked back up. He addressed the situation during the aforementioned Instagram Live. “I ran into a hiccup with my little situation,” he noted. Still, B.G. is confident that he will be able to sort it out and get his career back on track. “I’ma get past it,” he added. “I need y’all to know that I definitely didn’t jump out there and do nothing that I ain’t have permission to do. It was just a lapse in communication.”

B.G. Addresses Lil Wayne & Says He Wants To Do A Hot Boys Reunion

B.G. says he wants to do a Hot Boys reunion and needs Lil Wayne to “stop playing” so they can get it done. He explained his idea on Instagram Live, earlier this week. The proposition comes after B.G. dissed Wayne on Finesse2Tymes’ track “Gangstafied,” but later clarified there’s no beef between them.

“Say Juve, there’s people on my line, man, about this Hot Boys reunion,” he said. “Weezy, stop playing, man. It’s a big bag involved, man. Ya heard me? I know you super rich. I know you like Taylor Swift outchea. Come on, man. Stop playing, man. Let’s get to this bag.” When TheHipHopWolf posted the clip on Instagram, many users were confused by the idea, considering the recent diss.

I tell a n***a I love him and call him a b*tch all in the same sentence. It’s family business, man,” he said on social media. “Shout out to my little brother Weezy.
