Pras’ Attorney Found In Contempt Of Court Following Rapper’s Trial

In April of last year, Fugees rapper Pras finally wrapped up a long-running high-profile trial. He was facing some pretty serious conspiracy charges accusing him of embezzling millions. And after being found guilty last year he could be facing some serious consequences. The jury sent back a verdict of guilty in the federal conspiracy case, though that was hardly the end of the story. Since his conviction, the rapper has been making moves towards getting a retrial.

The primary reason he’s seeking a retrial is unhappiness with his legal representation in the first one. Back in October he made some surprising claims about the actions of his lawyer during the first trial. He accused his lawyer of using artificial intelligence to generate a closing statement in his trial. In fact, just earlier this week it was revealed that Pras’ retrial was being considered as a direct result of his legal representation. That came as is lawyer plead guilty to contempt of court charges. According to AllHipHop, he confessed to sharing classified documents with with the press during the trial. The guilty plea could work in the rapper’s favor at getting a retrial.

Following his guilty verdict Pras had to fight off allegations of being an informant online. While some, like Chuck D, came to his defense he had to face accusations from other popular figures. He even made threats to sue 50 Cent and Kyrie Irving for their comments on the situation last year.

What do you think of Pras’ lawyer pleading guilty to contempt of court? Do you think he has a chance at beating the charges against him in a retrial? Let us know in the comment section below.

XXXTENTACION Murder Accomplice Who Pled Guilty Might Be Free Soon

Robert Allen, one of the men complicit in the murder of XXXTENTACION, might become a free man very soon. Moreover, recent developments in court seem to be leading up to his prompt release given a few different factors in his specific case. Most of these revolve around the fact that Allen testified against his other codefendants, three men who received more harsh jail time. For this testimony, the court sentenced him to seven years in prison, but eventually brought it down a peg. The judge in this case reduced his time to 64 months, a little over five years, but that’s not all that worked in Allen’s favor.

Furthermore, one of these was that, as Robert Allen waited and waited for the trial to actually get underway following their arrest around June 2018, he was actually building credit for his eventual prison sentence. Judge Michael Usan basically accredited him 1,911 days of service, which is almost his full sentence, in October of this year. This means that one of the people who helped murder XXXTENTACION might be free come December, as there’s very little time left for Allen to serve. The others who faced trial alongside and then against him were Michael Boatwright, Dedrick Williams, and Trayvon Newsome.

News Coverage Of XXXTENTACION Murderers’ Conviction: Watch

Back in August of 2022, Robert Allen pled guilty to second-degree murder charges in the XXXTENTACION case. Then, he testified against his colleagues, identifying Boatwright and Newsome as the two men with masks on in surveillance footage of the murder and Boatwright in particular as the shooter. Allen claimed Williams was the getaway driver and that they split the $50K found in X’s Louis Vuitton bag that they stole. Allen received $5K, whereas the other perpetrators- who years later received life sentences on first-degree murder and armed robbery charges– got $15K.

By comparison, Robert Allen not only got a then-reduced seven-year sentence and credit for time served, but also faces 20 years of probation. Judge Usan expressed belief in his genuine remorse for the murder, which seems to have gone a long way. He also ordered the removal of his address from documents regarding his probation, so it’s clear he’s looking out for his safety a bit here. 50 himself took to Instagram to react, sharing a screenshot of the news story. “Beam Suntory got me into this mess with these people. They are not going to like the out come,” the accompanying caption read. 50 Cent Employee Pleads Guilty To Fraud

Last week, 50 Cent finally got to celebrate a bra being thrown on stage at him. Earlier this summer he complained that he wasn’t getting the same treatment on tour as Drake, who gets dozens of bras thrown on stage almost every night. Clearly at least one fan was listening and came through for 50 at a recent show.

50 has also recently reignited some of his long running beefs. He and Ja Rule have gone back and forth at each other recently with 50 aiming at a performance where Ja depicted himself as Jesus and Ja clapping back about 50’s mic throw incident last month. Ja wasn’t the only one to bring up the mic throw either as The Game made a similar post. What do you think of one of 50 Cent’s former employees pleading guilty to a $2 million fraud scheme? Let us know in the comment section below.

Desiigner Plans To Enter Guilty Plea Following Airplane Masturbation Scandal

According to a recent report by TMZ Hip Hop, Desiigner is scheduled to enter a guilty plea tomorrow. Back in April, it was revealed that the performer was caught masturbating on an airplane, leaving him facing charges of indecent exposure. Shortly after the incident, he took to social media to apologize, claiming that the mistake was a result of poor mental health. “I am ashamed of my actions that happened on that plane,” he wrote. “Mental health is real guys, please pray for me.

Desiigner claims that since the incident, he’s been attending therapy to improve his mental wellbeing. The situation should come to a close sometime in the not-so-distant future, luckily, as he’s taking accountability. Upon entering his guilty plea, the artist will serve two years of probation. He’ll also pay a $5K fine, do 120 hours of community service, and issue a public apology to the staff of the plane. Reportedly, Desiigner’s attorney will also ask the court to withhold any possible travel restrictions, which could impact his career. His team claims that he’s put his “heart and soul” into new music as part of his recovery.

Desiigner To Serve Two Years Of Probation

In August, legal documents were uncovered which appeared to reveal that Desiigner violated his pretrial release terms. He allegedly admitted to failing to show up for drug testing. According to the documents, his probation officer also said he hadn’t shown proof that he’d been attending counseling sessions. It appears, however, that the artist is ready to turn over a new leaf.

As far as his musical career goes, Desiigner’s management claims he has plans to tour this year as well as in 2024. He’s dropped off some singles in the past few months, even delivering a mental health-centered track in May, “Timmy Turner 2.” At the beginning of June, he returned with the song “Mafia Water” before releasing the club-ready single “Young N Ballin” last month. Keep an eye on HNHH for more updates on Desiigner.

Blueface Pleads Guilty In 2022 Las Vegas Shooting: Report

Blueface is putting one of his legal cases to rest, according to 8NewsNow. Court documents reveal that the California rapper pleaded guilty to two charges related to two separate incidents in Las Vegas. The report claims that an attorney for Blueface, born Jonathan Porter, informed the judge that he would plead guilty to a misdemeanor battery charge and a felony count of discharging a firearm at or into an occupied structure. His attorney also stated that he waived his right to a preliminary hearing.

Records reveal that Judge Kathleen Delaney agreed to the deal on Monday. The judge scheduled his sentencing for Oct. 2nd, 2023 and it appears that he’ll dodge any sort of jail time. His attorneys Caitlyn McASmis and Kristina Wildeveld told 8NewsNow that he would only face probation when he faces a judge to receive his sentence. In the meantime, Judge Kathleen Delaney agreed to release Blueface from house arrest, stemming from his arrest earlier this month.

The felony charge is related to an incident at Euphoric Gentlemen’s Club in October 2022, per Las Vegas Review-Journal. A man, who police identified as Kentabius Traylor, told police that someone shot at his video as he drove away. He said that Blueface shot at him after making some remarks about his vehicle, leaving him with a bullet graze to his left hand. Although Blue might end up serving probation for the incident, there are still civil cases currently against him.

The battery charge is one that stemmed from a separate incident that occurred in May. The rapper and Chrisean Malone, better known as Chrisean Rock, reportedly got into an altercation with a woman who attempted to record them. She accused Blueface and his team of assault, leading to the battery charge. At the same time, he was also placed on house arrest, which he recently claimed was due to Malone’s actions that evening. We’ll keep you posted on any more updates surrounding the case.

Gervonta Davis Takes Guilty Plea In Hit & Run Case: Details

Gervonta Davis is currently one of the best boxers in the entire world. However, he has been dealing with some issues as of late. For instance, Davis was at the Super Bowl this past weekend where he was in a wheelchair. Overall, Davis was not making a big deal out of his injury, although it could affect his future fights. Needless to say, fans are a bit concerned about Davis and whether or not he will actually get to go up against Ryan Garcia.

More recently, Davis has been in court over some hit-and-run charges that he incurred back in 2020. According to TMZ, Davis allegedly ran a red light and hit another car. As the alleged story goes, Davis hit a car that had a pregnant woman in it. Subsequently, he made eye contact with those in the car and eventually sped off. This all reportedly took place in Baltimore on November 5th of 2020. Now, however, Gervonta Davis is pleading guilty to the charges.

With this latest plea deal, Davis will only be on the hook for four charges. This is good news for the boxer as he was initially hit with 14 charges. As for the charges that are sticking, we have running a red light, driving with an expired license, leaving the scene of an accident involving bodily injury, and finally, failing to notify of property damage. Overall, these are some serious charges that Davis is still facing punishment for. On May 5th, he will have his official sentencing.

Needless to say, this is all very bad news for Davis who has been in the news for all of the wrong reasons as of late. People are hoping for him to straighten out as his career could take some massive hits. Additionally, he is going to court for an alleged assault that took place on December 27th. With these issues in mind, stay tuned to HNHH for any news and updates.

Gunna To Be Released From Jail After Pleading Guilty: Report

After several failed attempts at bond, Gunna just may be coming home. The rapper has remained incarcerated for most of 2022 after being arrested on RICO charges. Gunna, Young Thug, and two dozen of their purported associates are charged with being a part of a criminal organization: YSL. However, it has been contested that YSL is a record label, not a street gang.

Several celebrities have advocated for Gunna’s release, including Kim Kardashian. She emphasized that Gunna hasn’t been charged with a violent crime, therefore, he should be granted bail. His defense team tried effortlessly to obtain a bond for the rapper, but a judge repeatedly denied the requests.

Today (December 14), WSB-TV reported that Gunna “has pleaded guilty to a racketeering conspiracy charge,” but it is unclear when he will be released. He was reportedly in court today as he officially entered his “negotiated plea” or the “Alford plea.” The outlet described it as pleading “guilty on one charge because it was in his best interest while maintaining his innocence on the same charge.”

The “Pushin P” hitmaker’s deal means he was tacked with a five-year sentence, but it doesn’t look like Gunna will spend any time in jail. One year of his sentence was commuted to time served, and the remainder has been suspended. It’s reported that instead, Gunna will have to adhere to certain conditions including “500 hours of community service.”

Meanwhile, Young Thug remains incarcerated. He was hit with several more charges in recent days. Thugger is slated for trial in early 2023.

NY Correctional Officers Plead Guilty of Smuggling Contraband Into Rikers for Bloods Gang

rikers island

On Tuesday, two New York City corrections officers pled guilty to smuggling contraband into Rikers Island.

According to the Department of Justice, prosecutors say Krystle Burrell and Katrina Patterson accepted a total of $44,000 to bring narcotics and cellphones into the facility.  The duo was reportedly taking bribes from bloods gang members, with Burrell helping one inmate facilitate business.

Krystle Burrell, 35, pleaded guilty to bribery, admitting that she accepted nearly $10,000 in bribe payments from her co-defendant Terrae Hinds in exchange for smuggling unauthorized cell phones into the Anna M. Kross Center at Rikers. She also facilitated Hinds’ sale of narcotics and other contraband items at the facility.

Katrina Patterson, 31, had previously admitted to accepting $34,000 in bribes when indicted on Aug. 16. Patterson was smuggling contraband into the Robert N. Davoren Center on Rikers Island for her co-defendant Michael Ross. Ross, who is a Bloods gang member, has also pleaded guilty to a bribery offense and is awaiting sentencing.

“The defendants threw in their lot with Bloods gang members and betrayed their sworn duty to maintain the safety of incarcerated individuals and other correction officers at Rikers Island by smuggling cell phones and drugs into the jail,” stated United States Attorney Breon Peace.  “This Office and our law enforcement partners are committed to rooting out corruption at Rikers Island.”

“When correction officers betray their oath to serve and protect, the public is put at risk and the entire law enforcement community is tarnished,” stated NYPD Commissioner Keechant Sewell. “We have zero tolerance for such misconduct. With today’s guilty plea, Ms. Burrell joins Ms. Patterson in publicly acknowledging that their actions were immoral, unethical, and without integrity – diametrically opposed to the core requirements of our profession.”

When sentenced, Burrell faces up to ten years in prison and Patterson faces up to five years. Charges against Hinds remain pending.

donnell russell r kelly

A manager and adviser to R&B singer and convicted sex trafficker R. Kelly is pleading guilty to stalking.  Federal prosecutors in New York City say Donnell Russell used threats, harassment, and intimidation to keep one of the singer’s sexual abuse victims quiet.

“Through the use of intimidation tactics, Russell repeatedly and purposefully worked to silence ‘Jane Doe’ from revealing the emotional and physical trauma inflicted on her by R. Kelly and his associates. Despite multiple threats, Russell ultimately failed in his efforts and will now face the consequences of his despicable behavior,” said HSI Acting Special Agent-in-Charge Patel. “HSI will continue to work together with our partners to support and empower survivors of abuse and exploitation to come forward and speak out against their abusers.”
