GloRilla has taken over the Memphis rap scene in 2024. You also have contenders like Key Glock vying for that top spot. However, we feel that she deserves the recognition, as she has made on heck of a comeback. A lot of people were on the fence about the trajectory that the raunchy rapper was on. That much was true in 2023 after a series of disappointing songs and features. That has all been put to rest in 2024, ever since she dropped her first song back in February, “Yeah Glo!”. From there, the 24-year-old provided even more hits on her mixtape, Ehhthang Ehhthang. But GloRilla is showing that she has no intentions of slowing down, as she is back with “TGIF”.
This single is made for all the single ladies who are down for a weekend of debauchery. Like “Yeah Glo!”, “TGIF” is an instant hit. From the orchestral string sections to the rumbling bass and 808s, as well as the horn sections, it is a perfect melting pot, sonically. Then, there is Glo’s performance which is full of energy (per usual) and features one of stickiest choruses/post-choruses to date. Even though she has already dropped a project and several singles this year, “TGIF” was too good of a moment to pass up on. The track started go viral on social media, especially TikTok, as GloRilla teased it with the caption, “What day y’all want me to drop?”. She is just on another level this year and we hope to see it continue.
It’s 7 p.m. Friday (Yup) It’s ninety-five degrees (Woo) I ain’t got no n**** And no n**** ain’t got me (Let’s go) I’m ’bout to show my a** (Baow) These n****s love a freak (Huh)
Today, GRAMMY-nominated artist GloRilla unleashed the full version of her highly-anticipated song “TGIF”.
“TGIF” first gained traction when Glo previewed the song on social media, which created massive demand for the song’s release. She eventually started performing the song during stops on Megan Thee Stallion’s Hot Girl Summer Tour, with the crowd rapping along with her memorable lyrics “It’s 7pm Friday, it’s 95 degrees…I ain’t got no n—a and no n—a ain’t got me.”
“TGIF” comes on the heels of her star-studded collaboration “Wanna Be (Remix)” featuring Megan Thee Stallion and Cardi B. First teased at Megan and Glo’s tour stop at Madison Square Garden last month, the pair teamed with Cardi, who delivered a dynamic verse, stamping the remix as the official go-to anthem for the summer. “Wanna Be” first debuted at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 upon its release and, after this star-studded remix, soared back into the top 15, proving why GloRilla remains one of the genre’s top hitmakers.
GloRilla is having the time of her life this summer. On top of dropping one of the buzziest hits of the year — the catchy, infectious “Yeah Glo!” — the Memphis rapper has been killing it as the opener on Megan Thee Stallion‘s Hot Girl Summer Tour. All the while, her unreleased material has been going viral in TikTok videos. Tonight (June 21), Glo has shared her new single, “TGIF,” which has already proven to be a hit online.
Over a scorching beat, Glo looks forward to the weekend. She’s not stressing over a man, but rather, she is looking forward to spending time with her girls.
“Turnt up with my b*tches / Turnt up at my shows / Cuzzo I got that blicky / 60,000 fans, came to see me do my dance / Got a million and one haters / And they all can kiss my ass,” raps Glo.
The song arrives shortly after her mixtape, Ehhthang, Ehhthang, and on the very first night of summer. Having first gone viral with “FNF (Let’s Go)” two years ago, Glo has been supplying the heat for the ladies.
Pure confidence paired with some dirty south flavor is a recipe for an undeniable banger.
Megan Thee Stallion is currently about midway through her Hot Girl Summer Tour that launched last month, and she appears to be feeling pretty good. She was in a celebratory mood on Instagram last night (June 13), when she shared a collection of recent stray thoughts.
Perhaps the most notable one is this: “Ima pop my sh*t for a second lol but people questioned if I was an arena artist anddd I mean [shrugging emoji] teehee.”
Notably, in May, Charlamagne Tha God claimed that Megan is “not an arena artist,” but he quickly retracted his assertion, later saying, “Clearly, we got our answers. She sold out 13 arena stops in over 240,000 tickets across North America and Europe. Yeah, so if you’re selling out arenas, you’re an arena artist.”
Elsewhere, Meg showed love for tour opener GloRilla (calling her “my sister 4L”) and made note that her beloved dog Foe Thee Frenchie is now a father. If you want to see the puppies, Meg just shared a video of them on Foe’s Instagram account:
Check out Meg’s full post below.

“Sunday Service” was already a hard-hitting track from Latto. The truck-rattling beat and the attitude made it one of the rapper’s best singles to date. Now, we have the remix. The ascending rapper has put out a star-studded second version of the song with verses from Megan Thee Stallion and Flo Milli. It’s a classic move for a big single, and to no one’s surprise, it works perfectly here. All three rappers sound great over the new version of the track, and their chemistry is palpable.
Flo Milli gets to kick off the remix, and she brings her trademark combination of guttural rhymes with a high-pitched voice. She even manages to work in the title of the song in a threatening fashion. “Wanna fight me ’bout some d*ck ’cause you checkin’ n**gas’ phones. I hope that ain’t your only n**ga, he ain’t never comin’ home,” she raps. “Ho, I’ll take over your city, b*tch, you p**sy, you a kitty. We pull up like Sunday Service, beat a b*tch and show no pity.” The tone is instantly set, and Latto carries the baton during the middle portion of the song. The rapper sounds smoother over the beat than her peer, and Megan Thee Stallion brings it home with a typically aggressive (and quotable) sixteen. Everybody did their job on this one.

Bitches must be tryna save the planet, recycling all my old n**gas Trends you think you settin’, I had that sh*t on in my old pictures I’m standin’ on business (Yeah), he actin’ up then I’ma What the f*ck I look like trippin’ on one out of seven billion?
Lists have become lighting rods of controversy. Music fans are still reeling from the outrage that was sparked by Apple Music’s 100 greatest albums of all time. Now, it’s Billboard’s turn. The outlet put out a ranking of the hottest female rappers right now, and unsurprisingly, the comment section was flooded with complaints and/or talking points. Some fans felt that it was incomplete, others felt it was ignoring less popular but more artistically ambitious rappers. Some were mad that Nicki Minaj claimed the top spot.
To be fair, Minaj laid the groundwork for the rest of the rappers on the list. She’s also had a resurgence in the last year, thanks to a number one single and a record-breaking tour. Nicki Minaj is as big as a female rapper can get, according to the stats, and that’s not even taking her huge influence into account. Cardi B, GloRilla, and Doja Cat have all cited Minaj as an inspiration on their own style. GloRilla went as far as to say Minaj gets too much hate considering all the doors she opened for female rappers. Be that as it may, rappers like Sexyy Red and Megan Thee Stallion have had meteoric rises in recent years. They place at number two and three, respectively. Doja Cat and Ice Spice round out the top five, despite the former being more of a singer/pop star historically.
As some fans have pointed out, though, Doja Cat has had way more success than Megan or Sexyy Red. She’s scored multiple number one singles as a featured and solo artist, and her albums sell significantly more than everybody else on the list. “Why TF is Megan higher than Doja,” asked one user, which was a sentiment shared by another: “Lol in no world is Meg better than Doja.” Others felt that Megan should be at the top of the list. There were fans who believed Sexyy Red has had the most eyes on her in 2024, and therefore is most deserving of the “hottest” title. “Sexy [sic] is clearly the hottest out,” one IG user wrote.
Then the attention turned to commissions. The missing name that really rubbed fans the wrong way was Rapsody. The North Carolina native is the most respected female rapper working today, and she just put out another acclaimed album, Please Don’t Cry, in May. “No Rapsody is an automatic ignore,” one IG user posited. “Rapsody is LIGHT years better than this entire list,” another wrote. “No shade tho.” Other huge names who were thrown out as being worthy for consideration were Che Noir, Lola Brooke and Kamaiyah. What do you think of the Billboard list? Who got snubbed, and who was placed too high?
It seems that almost every headline coming out of the Megan Thee Stallion’s tour has been a positive one. Her Hot Girl Summer Tour has been filling up arenas with ease and her “Hotties” have been soaking up all the fun. Two of her most recent shows took place in Atlanta and during that time her, Latto, and GloRilla were rocking the stage. The duo of Meg and Big Latto were making some noise with their forthcoming remix of “Sunday Service”. Fans were going nuts over the collab and that should be dropping fairly soon. This time, though, GloRilla and Latto are the ones having some fun, as the two engaged in friendly dance battles.
According to AllHipHop, round one started right after the last ATL stop. Glo and Latto got down to “Wanna Be”, the former and Megan’s first collaboration. The Houston rapper crowned Ms. Atlanta the winner after twerking up a storm with her “manilla vanilla clappas” while wearing a red Dior durag over her face. Megan taunted Glo in the IG voiceover post below, basically telling her to get back on the dancefloor for round two.
“Glo, I really just think y’all gone have to have a muthaf***in rematch. She definitely ate you up friend. And she left the rag on your head? You about to let Latto do you like that, Glo?”. After exchanging words on X, the ladies stepped into the ring for the finale. Latto shared the second dance off (the video above), with a scoreboard. The “Big Energy” MC went on to take W 4-2, but Glo hilariously gave some reasons as to why she took the L. “I clearly won. She did da same twerk twice & I had heels on yall kissing a** cause if I woulda start twerking I woulda got eliminated”.
What are your thoughts on the dance battle between GloRilla and Latto? Who do you think won the competition overall? How do you feel about all the female rappers siding with Megan? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Megan Thee Stallion, GloRilla, and Latto. Finally, stay with us for everything else going on in the music world.
Megan Thee Stallion and GloRilla‘s Hot Girl Summer Tour continues to be one of the year’s most exciting events. This past weekend, at the Atlanta stop of the tour, they were joined by fellow Hot Girl rapper Latto on stage. But the fun didn’t stop after the show.
In a clip that has since gone viral, Latto and Glo are seen backstage having fun, and dancing to music. The two then swiftly move into a dance-off, as Meg and Glo’s collab “Wanna Be” plays in the background. Latto and Glo then see who can out-twerk the other.
While their competition appears to be friendly, Glo is sure that she was the winner of the twerk off.
“latto didn’t win dat dance battle let’s be fr,” said Glo in a tweet.
Latto, however, wasn’t having it, and asked her followers “Who gone tell her????”
The rap feud season keeps on giving, and it looks like it’s the ladies’ turn now. After Drake and Kendrick Lamar charged the hip-hop scene with their heated diss war, female MCs Cardi B and BIA seem to have taken the baton from their male colleagues. The duo has been going at each other via social media and diss tracks, and it looks like they are ready to go all the way. Cardi B’s relationship with BIA hasn’t always been frosty. In 2021, BIA lauded Cardi B via several posts on X, formerly known as Twitter. However, that is now in the past, as the rappers seem to have lost any love they had for each other.
Cardi B and BIA’s beef got out of hand in March after suggestions that Cardi B was imitating BIA’s style. Since then, the women have not held back in their war of words. Their beef got so heated that Cardi B threatened to sue Bia. Fans wonder how far the women are willing to go in their beef, which is quickly gaining much attention. Here’s all to know about the feuding women’s animosity.
Cardi B and BIA previously had a cordial relationship. In 2021, Cardi B became the first female rapper to have a solo single certified Diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America after “Bodak Yellow” sold over 10 million units. She received multiple compliments from fans and industry bigwigs after achieving the feat. BIA was one of those who commended Cardi B on her achievement. BIA made several posts on X congratulating Cardi B. One of the posts read, “Congrats to @iamcardib. Breaking barriers for the gorls.” In another post, BIA responded to a fan who said she was the new girl inspired by Cardi B. She wrote, “If you’re not inspired you’re not paying attention. You can at least be a fan of someone’s work ethic, growth, and contributions. & I’ve been writing for 10years, what she’s accomplished is NOT EASY.”
BIA Says She Doesn’t Know Cardi B In Real Life
The first sign of a brewing feud between Cardi B and BIA came in March 2023. Then, there were rumors that the two rappers were beefing. BIA addressed the rumors via an Instagram live video. Per Forbes, she said, “I didn’t switch up on anybody because I don’t know Cardi in real life. I’ve never met Cardi, we’ve never had a conversation. I don’t have no issues with her. It’s all love, but I don’t know her.”
The Beef Begins
In March 2024, Cardi B released her “Like What” freestyle. She sampled Missy Elliot’s “She’s A B**ch” on the song. However, some fans on X felt the beat and ad-libs Cardi used on “Like What” were similar to those used on BIA’s “Fallback,” which the latter released in December 2023. A fan went ahead to share a post suggesting Cardi was imitating BIA. The fan wrote, “But Bia is definitely on Cardi’s mood board alot.” BIA caught wind of the fan’s tweet and responded with three woozy face emojis. In another X post, BIA wrote, “Yall are sick.” Another fan encouraged BIA not to fall for the stan wars, adding that she was on the rise. BIA acknowledged the fan and thanked them for their words.
However, Cardi B seemingly didn’t like the online chatter going on. She responded by posting, “Bitches make a fool of themselves every single time.. ima show ya something when I release this song tho.” Afterward, some Cardi fans rubbished the suggestion that she was imitating BIA’s style. They shared videos of Cardi previewing the “Like What” track at a club in January, proving that the song had been in the making for a long time.
Nothing much was heard about Cardi B and BIA’s feud until May 31, 2024, when GloRilla and Megan Thee Stallion released the remix of their hit tune, “Wanna Be,” featuring Cardi B. Cardi seemingly fired shots at BIA with her hard-hitting bars in the song. She rapped, “Guess I’m a teacher since you wanna sub me/She did what? Had no idea/Thought she was on the shelf, Ikea/Hope she talk like that when I see her/B**ch Please, don’t nobody wanna be ya/Cheap lookin’ a*s h*e, weak lookin’ a*s h*e/Great Value me lookin’ a*s h*e/Girl, these b**ches be p***y/Delete every tweet looking a*s h*e.” Fans speculated about who Cardi referred to with her lines. However, many of them were convinced the “nobody wanna be ya” reference was enough evidence they were aimed at BIA.
Not long after the track’s release, BIA seemed to reply to Cardi B’s apparent diss via a post on X. She wrote, “B**CHS IS WACK. B**CHS IS TRASH. I SHOULD HANG B**CHS RIGHT OVER MY KNEE, THE WAY I BE PUTTIN MY BELT TO THEY ASSSSSSSS,” a play from Cardi’s lyric from the song “Clout” with Offset. Shortly after, BIA shared another post on X. She posted a video of a rap battle between two female rappers superimposed with the “Wanna Be” instrumental playing in the background. One of the battling women delivered some lines aimed at knocking her opponent out. However, her bars fell flat and were met with disappointment by the onlookers and her unimpressed opponent, who said, “What?” The video post appeared to be BIA’s way of saying she wasn’t impressed with Cardi’s shots on “Wanna Be.”
Cardi B Addresses BIA Beef on Instagram Live
With Cardi B and BIA’s feud attracting attention, the former went on Instagram Live to address the situation. She revealed that she attempted to resolve the conflict via a phone call to BIA. Cardi B shared that their conversation began aggressively with both of them coming at each other. She further revealed, “But then I called her back because…I’m so appalled at the fact that she thinks I’m copying her, or stealing from her, ‘cus there’s nothing that she do that I like. I don’t like her music, I don’t like her style…I don’t even see the b**ch…”
The “Up” rapper jokingly urged her fans to stream BIA’s songs as the latter needed to recoup her publishing. Cardi B then threatened to release her conversation with BIA. She claimed that their conversation ended positively but then BIA went ahead to diss her online. Cardi added, “After the conversation, you went and you started saying I copied your music video…Then you going around lying about my pussy to my man’s boys and shit. What?… When I called her on the phone I wanted clarity, and that’s exactly what we got…”
Cardi B shared that she initially thought BIA was clout-chasing when she kept dissing her. She added, “But when she started doing that rumor shit, it’s like ‘damn, it’s more than clout. It’s jealousy.’” Cardi stated that she didn’t like anything about BIA. She ranted, “I don’t wanna dress like you, I don’t wanna look like you, I don’t wanna rap like you, I don’t listen to your music, I don’t know what the fuck you be doing, bitch…You not interesting to me.” The enraged rapper concluded by threatening to sue BIA if she continued spreading false allegations that she cheated on Offset. She said, “B**tch, you lyin’ on my f***ing p***y? When you lie about my p****y, I’mma sue you and you got to come with receipts. And not social media receipts, you gotta come with court receipts.”
BIA didn’t waste much time to respond to Cardi B. She did so via an Instagram Live video. During the IG live session, BIA played a diss track targeted at Cardi in which she made allegations about her cheating on Offset. The song’s intro goes, “Got a dark soul, got a bright future/Imma let her know I’m a sharp shooter/You ain’t nothing but a f**k girl, I see right through ya.” Rapping about Cardi’s alleged infidelity, BIA spits, “Put it on your gang that they ain’t f**k you in/Put in on your name since you so gangsta like yo f***ing friends/Put it on your hubby since you lying on your vows/I write all my verses, I can do this s**t for hours.“
BIA also took a dig at Cardi, accusing her of using a ghostwriter. She rapped, “Do I beef with you or do I beef with Pardi?” The line is a reference to rapper and songwriter Pardison Fontaine, who has writing credits on several Cardi B songs including her breakout hit “Bodak Yellow,” and “Be Careful.” The writing credits are under Pardison’s real name Jordan Kyle Lanier Thorpe.
Elsewhere in the diss track, BIA dissed Cardi’s physical appearance and mentioned her kids, Wave and Culture. She rapped, “Say you love yourself but you won’t put that on your kids/All that surgery and how your body is so mid.” She also spits, “I thought your a*s was for the culture/You just tryna ride the wave/You should be home with your kids ’cause b**ch you speak like you in second grade.” BIA captioned her Instagram Live post, “SUE ME” ??? That’s not hip hop.”
BIA Releases Official Audio for Her Diss Song
After the Instagram post, BIA went ahead to release the official audio for her Cardi B diss song, “SUE MEEE?” The track’s cover art featured a screenshot of an Instagram Story that Offset made in 2023 in which he seemed to suggest Cardi B cheated on him. The former Migos rapper deleted the post immediately and later explained that Cardi didn’t cheat on him. He said he made the post because he “was really lit that night,” and “she get crazy at the mouth a little bit.”
Cardi has yet to respond to BIA’s diss track. However, given that she threatened to sue the “WHOLE LOTTA MONEY” crooner if she made more allegations of her cheating on Offset, one can only wonder if she will keep to her words. After already witnessing a volatile rap scene this year thanks to Drake and Kendrick’s beef, hip-hop lovers wonder what to expect from the feuding women. Only time will tell!
Megan Thee Stallion and GloRilla’s Hot Girl Summer tour has been a must-see event for fans of female rappers. The pair have already played a number of dates to sold-out stadiums where Megan has debuted new music and teased towards her upcoming new album. It was at one of her shows where fans first got the word that the project would be called Megan and they only have to wait a few more weeks to hear it. She revealed that the record will arrive later this month on June 28.
After a recent show there was once again a crossover between some of the biggest female rappers in the game. Just a few weeks ago the duo brought Cardi B out on stage with them. While there they teased the released of their upcoming collaboration, a Cardi-led remix of Meg and Glo’s song “Wanna Be.” The track dropped over the weekend and saw Cardi upping the stakes of her beef with BIA. But at an even more recent show, both Latto and Flo Milli showed up. Video is making the rounds online of the group seemingly having a lit celebration backstage. Check out the clip that’s being shared below.
Additionally in the comments, fans argue that this is the level of love there should always be among women rappers. “This is how it’s supposed to be with the rap girls! What are y’all beefing for???” one of the top comments on a repost of the video reads. “Not a Hater in sight.. we love to see it.. ” another comment agrees. Even in the biggest year for rap beef in recent memory, fans are clearly still here for rappers supporting and uplifting each other.
