Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger confirmed Tuesday that a bomb threat of Russian origin targeted multiple polling sites in the state. While he assured the public the threat was “not credible,” he noted it affected five to seven precincts across various Georgia counties, USA Today reports.
“They’re up to mischief it seems,” Raffensperger said, alluding to Russian interference. “They don’t want us to have a smooth, fair, and accurate election.”
Federal agencies were involved in assessing the threat, though Raffensperger did not specify which agencies responded. The FBI later confirmed that several states faced bomb threats, many appearing to originate from Russian email domains.

Peewee Longway was among a total of 101 people that police in Columbus, Georgia on Friday in a major drug bust. In the raid, authorities seized a total of 7.1 kilograms of fentanyl, 57.21 kilograms of cocaine, 55,248 pounds of marijuana, and 1.3 kilograms of heroin. Altogether, the drugs are reportedly valued at over $200 million. Multiple federal, local, and state agencies worked together in the bust, with the FBI bringing in 250 agents and analysts to assist.
Discussing “Operation Sweet Silence,” Sheriff Greg Countryman used the opportunity to demand an end to gang activity in Columbus. “If you’re involved in criminal activity, I want to send this message to you. Just because your name was not caught in the arrest yesterday, I don’t want you to relapse,” Countryman said, as caught by Complex. “I don’t want you to breathe a breath of fresh air, a sigh of relief, because our work is not done. Just because you were not arrested does not mean that we’re not looking at you. So don’t get too comfortable because our work is not finished.”

Longway’s exact role in the allegations remains unclear. On social media, fans have been sharing supportive messages. “We all know PeeWee Longway don’t talk to the Feds,” one user on X (formerly Twitter) wrote. Another posted: “That Migos, Rich Homie Quan, Peewee Longway, Hoodrich Pablo Juan, & Young Thug era really died in front of our eyes in a couple years… 14 year old me sad rn.” Others called for his freedom.
Longway isn’t the only Atlanta rapper facing legal trouble at the moment. Young Thug has been on trial in the YSL RICO case for months at this point. Authorities originally accused him of gang-related charges back in 2022. Be on the lookout for further updates on Peewee Longway on HotNewHipHop.
Earlier this week, a shooting at Apalachee High School four dead and nine others in the hospital. Reportedly, a 14-year-old shooter entered the school Wednesday morning with a rifle, killing two teachers and two students. According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, he has been charged with four counts of felony murder and is expected to face additional charges. The shooting has left many devastated and outraged, including Boosie Badazz.
The Louisiana-born rapper took to Twitter/X today to share his reaction to the tragedy. According to him, more needs to be done to protect the nation’s students. While most can agree on this, the solution he proposed has prompted a major debate in his replies.
“#Anotherschoolshooting THE NEXT PRESIDENT NEED TO MAKE A LAW THAT PUTS 4 ARMED SNIPERS N EVERY SCHOOL N THIS COUNTRY TO PROTECT OUR CHILDREN,” Boosie began. “EVERY YEAR THIS COUNTRY SHREDS BILLIONS OF DOLLARS AT THE END OF THE YEAR N THROWS IT AWAY. WHY CANT SOME OF THAT MONEY BE SPENT TO PROTECT OUT CHILDREN? WE PROTECT SPORTS, ENTERTAINMENT VENUES, CASINOS, FEDERAL BUILDINGS ETC. WE PROTECT ANYTHING THAT BRINGS MONEY BUT WE CANT PROTECT OUR OWN FLESH N BLOOD #thechildren CALLING MY BABY MOMAS ‘IM THINKING HOME SCHOOL.’”
This is far from the first time Boosie’s called on the soon-to-be President as of late, however. Earlier this month, he hopped online to ask “whoever wins” to help him out of his federal gun case. In July, the case was dropped, but he was later indicted again on the same charge plus an additional charge. He tagged both Vice President Kamala Harris and Donald Trump in his request for a presidential pardon. What do you think of Boosie Badazz demanding that the next president put snipers in schools? Do you think this would be effective or not? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.
A few months ago, YFN Lucci was hit with a 20-year sentence after pleading guilty to violating the Street Gang and Terrorism Prevention Act. Overall, the sentence was split in two, with 10 years of prison and another 10 years of probation. However, over the past few months, Lucci has been looking to have his sentence reduced. His lawyers have been hard at work, and there have seemingly been some inroads made to get him home sooner rather than later.
For instance, District Attorney Fani Willis has come through with a letter of support for Lucci. Given her role in the YSL Trial, this is certainly going to ruffle some feathers. However, the fact remains that Willis is supportive of Lucci getting home early. “The state does not object to the defendant, Rayshawn Bennett being released,” Willis wrote. However, she did stipulate that she would only be okay with his release if it meant that he continued to showcase good behavior.
Over on The Shade Room, some took issue with the favoritism, noting that she is going after Thug but is advocating for Lucci. Others noted that celebrities get preferential treatment, but the average person would never get this kind of co-sign. Overall, it is certainly a complicated issue that can be quite polarizing for a variety of reasons. Only time will tell whether or not Lucci gets his sentence commuted. For now, his chances seem to be getting better.
Let us know what you think of this update on YFN Lucci, in the comments section down below. Do you believe that District Attorney Fani Willis is corrupt? How do you believe this will impact the Young Thug YSL Trial? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. It’s no secret that Rick Ross has a lot of cash, but evidently, he hasn’t made it all purely from his music career. During a recent chat with Dwyane Wade on The Why podcast, he chatted about investing, revealing that he’s always had a strong sense of where to put his money. In the clip, he explains that his sprawling 120-room “Promise Land” estate in Fayetteville, GA was purchased for only $5.9 million. While that’s certainly no measly chunk of change, it’s just a drop in the bucket of what it’s currently worth.
“When I bought the Promise Land I paid $5.9 million for it,” he explains. “It was estimated at over $30 million the last time we had it [appraised].” Not everybody saw Ross’ vision at first, however. According to him, his mother Tommie Roberts wasn’t convinced that the property was a wise purchase. “She’s like, ‘Will, the house got a damn 120 rooms. What the hell are you gonna do with 120 rooms?’”
Luckily, Rick Ross knew that his mother would see the bigger picture eventually. “I knew as long as I had that conversation with her I could convince her… She’s got my back regardless,” he says. “When she stopped questioning me and just looking at me… Because I don’t know, I don’t have the answer every time.” Clearly, Rick Ross had the answer at least that time, as his property is now worth nearly five times as much as what he originally paid for it.
What do you think of Rick Ross revealing that his property in Georgia is now worth nearly five times as much as he paid for it? Are you surprised? What about his mother questioning the purchase in the beginning? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.
Swatting is one of the most dangerous types of hoaxes around and numerous celebrities have been victim to it in recent years. The tips from anonymous callers sharing fake information about reported crimes have caused numerous high-profile individuals to end up in surprise danger when police show up at their residences. Last year this happened to Cardi B and Offset at their home in Sandy Springs, GA. Thankfully the pair weren’t in the house at the time and instead were in Los Angeles while Offset’s uncle was house-sitting.
The swatting happened back in August but newly obtained video by TMZ is sparking renewed interest in it. Reportedly a call came through alleging that shots had been fired and the celebrity couple’s house. The caller may have even insinuated that Cardi herself could have been hit even though she turned out to be on the other side of the country. In the newly released clip, Offset is contacted over the phone. He seems appropriately frustrated by the entire ordeal during his conversation with police in the video.
For the past month, Cardi B and Offset have been subject to constantly evolving breakup rumors. It began somewhat innocuously with fans spotting that the pair had unfollowed each other on Instagram. But since then it’s been a rapid fire unfolding of new details and conflicting reports. On one hand, Cardi described herself as single during an Instagram live and took shots at Offset
But the pair have also spent plenty of time together recently. Unsurprisingly, they enjoyed their Christmas day together. But they also partied with each other on New Year’s and Cardi even took to social media to share some NSFW details of what went down afterward. The rumors and conflicting behavior have left fans confused trying to decipher exactly where things stand for the pair. What do you think of somebody making a fake threat that resulted in Cardi B and Offset’s house being swatted? Let us know in the comment section below.
T.I. and Tiny Harris are one of hip-hop’s most well-known couples, and they go through peaks and valleys like any other relationship. Moreover, recent news emerged that a Georgia state trooper pulled him over for speeding, which he said was because of the woman in his passenger seat. However, in video footage of the incident, we never see the woman in question, so it’s unclear if it’s really his wife or not. Regardless, according to Live PD Hardcore, an officer made a traffic stop after they saw a Range Rover speeding on the Atlanta highway.
“You just flew past my door at a very high rate of speed. You drove on the shoulder back there and almost struck that car,” they told the rapper, and asked him to exit the vehicle. “She was getting on my nerves,” T.I. responded, referring to the unidentified woman in his passenger seat. “I apologize. She was getting under my skin. I just wanted to get home as fast as I could so we can get out of the car, and I can go to my space and she can go to her space.” Again, we don’t know if this is Tiny, but unless this exposed an even more scandalous story, this is the next best theory.
Furthermore, T.I. struggled to provide the car’s registration because he apparently bought the Range Rover that same day. While footage of this came out in early December, the officer’s dash cam video doesn’t have the specific date of the traffic stop. Still, the trooper confirmed some information with the car dealership’s owner, and dismissed King and Domani’s father with three citations. As of writing this article, he has yet to address this situation publicly, so hopefully that means that everything smoothed out both in terms of the pull-over and the argument with Tiny.
Meanwhile, the trap music pioneer is feeling quite reflective these days with some family drama to consider. In addition, he recently reflected on his squashed beef with Gucci Mane, and how he feels he waited too long to make it happen. With that in mind, what’s another rap beef that you wish would end with a buried hatchet? Let us know in the comments and come back to HNHH for more news and updates on T.I.
It’s been a long 567 days for Young Thug, who’s spent the majority of that year and a half behind bars awaiting the start of his YSL RICO trial. The hunt for a jury officially began in January. However, due to the rapper’s popularity and the large number of co-defendants, it took a minute to find a group of individuals qualified to determine Thugger’s fate. Today (November 27), the Atlanta native is finally back in court as opening statements begin.
As Pitchfork notes, prosecutors allege that the So Much Fun artist’s YSL (Young Stoner Life) label is also the criminal gang Young Slime Life. Thug – born Jeffrey Williams – was taken into police custody on a massive 56-count indictment last May, pinning crimes on him like murder, assault, robbery, theft, illegal gun possession, and illegal drug possession and sales in the Cleveland Avenue neighbourhood for over a decade.
Young Thug Back in Court as YSL RICO Proceedings Finally Begin
One of the most controversial aspects of the YSL trial is that song lyrics will appear as evidence. In a recently leaked interrogation audio, Thugger laughs at the detective’s questions about him, Lil Wayne, and Birdman being a part of the Bloods, calling their references to gang activity in music, “entertainment.” Luckily for hip-hop heads, everything unfolding in the courtroom today and beyond will be streaming live on Law & Crime‘s YouTube channel, and we’ll be sure to provide you with regular updates as well.
Ahead of today’s highly anticipated court date, social media has been reflecting on the wild rollercoaster that the YSL RICO trial has been before even officially starting. From Lil Keed’s untimely death in the weeks following his labelmate’s arrest to nine people taking plea deals, we could’ve never predicted things would turn out this way for Young Thug and his co-defendants. Read more about that at the link below. Let us know if you think Jeffrey Williams will be coming home when court concludes in the comments.
Quando Rondo will not be banned from entering Chatham County in Georgia, despite prosecutors’ attempts otherwise. Chatham County Superior Court Judge Tammy Stokes reached the decision on Monday, according to Savannah Morning News. The attempted ban followed a car crash involving the rapper on July 19. At the scene of the incident, he showed signs of an overdose. Additionally, Rondo was present at a shooting on September 20, in which a group of people including Quando Rondo, were attacked. In response, prosecutors wanted Rondo banned “from the confines of Chatham County except for court appearances, meetings with defense counsel, and medical treatment.”
Denying their request, Judge Stokes argued: “Preliminary investigation suggests that the defendant and/or members of his entourage were the targets of this attack. Based on the State’s case, it appears that the defendant was, in fact, victim. Accordingly, the motion is denied.”
In documents obtained by XXL back in July, authorities wrote that Rondo was, “operating a motor vehicle in Chatham County and was observed traveling at a high rate of speed and ultimately crashed his vehicle [into] another vehicle. Emergency services responded to the scene and the defendant was administered Narcan as he was exhibiting signs of an overdose.” They also added that, “Quando] was subsequently transported to [Memorial Health University Medical Center] where he became belligerent with hospital staff and ultimately had to be sedated. As a result of this incident the Defendant is being charged with a number of traffic offenses.”
Afterward, police began investigating the cause of the car crash. They didn’t provide word on any other reported injuries from the scene. Rondo has yet to comment on the verdict. Be on the lookout for further updates on his legal case on HotNewHipHop.
