“About last night! 🤍,” the mother of two captioned her photo dump, which landed on Monday afternoon. In the latter half of the post, Miami included a candid photo that finds her posing alongside Dwyane Wade and his wife, Gabrielle Union, as well as R&B icon Keyshia Cole. The group was celebrating the NBA star’s upcoming induction into the Hall of Fame with a FWRD bash, and the smiles on all of their faces prove that good times were had all around.

On the topic of Union and Wade, the stylish couple began trending online in the spring after the Bring It On actress revealed that she and her husband split things 50/50. Gabrielle Union Fires Back At Troll Who Criticized Her Bikini Pictures

Gabrielle Union called out a troll online who complained about her continuing to post bikini pictures into her 50s. She addressed the incident during an appearance on the Who What Wear with Hillary Kerr podcast, last week. Union remarked that she’ll never get too old to show off her body and she’ll one day have her “ass up in the casket.”

“Somebody said, ‘You’re old enough to be somebody’s grandma, why are you still in — like wearing swimsuits?’” Union said. “I’m like, ‘First of all, they’re not just swimsuits. They are thongs. And you’re gonna see these cheeks until my ass literally falls off, and I might just wear a bikini in the casket.”

“I don’t know. That just might be for you, for that one commenter … This is for you bitch …It’s just gonna be like, me in a thong, like, ass-up in the casket,” she further joked. From there, Union discussed aging as a celebrity more broadly. She says that people make women feel “invisible” once they hit a certain age.

“At 35, they start treating you like you’ve got osteoporosis. You start becoming invisible and it’s a weird, empty feeling to feel like you’re disappearing in front of your own eyes,” Gabrielle shared. “You start taking on the same attitude as [a] society that believes that you lack value.”

Dwyane Wade Addresses 50/50 Finances Comments By Gabrielle Union

Every power couple is different, but even the most successful and wealthy ones can be subject to the same gender norms as any other. Moreover, pop culture saw a recent example of that in Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union. The latter revealed that she and Wade typically split finances 50/50, while also revealing some insecurity when it came to money. Now, the former basketball superstar revealed his own perspective on this to Shannon Sharpe on his Club Shay Shay podcast. During his remarks, he expressed confidence in her independence, dismissal of negative perspectives about manhood, and a desire to keep things equal and within each of their defined comfort zones.

“I haven’t given no color to this, but it’s thinkpieces going around about me as a man,” Dwyane Wade expressed before Sharpe teased him about it a little. “Let’s talk about it. So, the whole 50/50 concept, so I understand what 50/50 means. [It] means that everything in life, you got your half and I got my half. We’ll put this s**t together and try to make 100. That is not how our relationship works, all right? Everybody think 50/50, they think ‘Hey, if he gettin’ a sandwich, you gotta put 50% on that!’

Dwyane Wade Reflects On Splitting Finances With Gabrielle Union

“50/50 in our household is- first of all, let’s say that I have 20 to 50 responsibilities,” Dwyane Wade continued. “My wife has 20 to 50 responsibilities. When I say that, that means she has a mother, she has her sisters, she has her dad, she has a lot of things that she’s responsible for. You know what she does? She pays one hundred percent of that. You know what I do? I pay one hundred percent of my life. My wife is a working actress, spends time away from the family, we decided together. I think one time, we was in Miami, I said something about it being my house that I pay for. She said, ‘You will never say something like that to me again when it’s something that we share.’ So my wife was like ‘When we move to L.A., I got half on it.’

Further on in the interview, the 41-year-old spoke on splitting finances with everything related to taking care of their daughter. In addition, he also elaborated on Union also taking time to make lavish trips or special occasions all the more meaningful with her contributions. Overall, Sharpe was right in stating that such a formula works for them, and that’s the only thing that matters even if it was 85/15. Gabrielle Union Elaborates On Splitting Finances 50/50 With Dwyane Wade

Gabrielle Union has elaborated on her recent comments about splitting family finances 50/50 with her husband, Dwyane Wade. In a comment on Instagram, she explained that she and the former NBA star have found their “peace.” Union previously discussed how they manage their money during an interview with Noah Callahan-Bever on his Bloomberg Originals series, Idea Generation.

“Every household is different and doing what’s best for you and yours is the key,” she wrote. “And what some don’t understand is that I’m 100% responsible for 3 other households and D has even more. As for her original comments, Union told Callahan-Bever: “I struggle with that. I think I just have more responsibilities for my money. So I get nervous like, ‘Oh my God that movie didn’t open [well]. What does that mean? Am I going to have enough to hold everybody up? And everyone’s like, ‘It’s coming. Calm down.’ I’m trying to find peace in the journey, not using my anxiety and scarcity mindset to be my engine, which is hard.”

“In this household, we split everything 50/50,” she added. “But in the other households that each of us have to support, there’s always this gorilla on your back that’s like, ‘You better work! You’re going to sleep in? Somebody might not eat.’ It’s hard. It’s hard to let that go, so I’m working on it.”

During the course of his NBA career, Wade earned nearly $200 million from his player salaries. Union, in addition, has starred in dozens of feature films over the years including She’s All That, 10 Things I Hate About You, and Bring It On.

Gabrielle Union & Dwyane Wade Split Bills 50/50, She Admits To Financial Security Struggles

Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade have long been one of Hollywood’s favourite couples. From speculating about their life in the bedroom together to praising the way they parent the athlete’s transgender daughter, Zaya, the pair has cemented their status as #CoupleGoals. Never one to shy away from being candid about her personal life, the Bring It On starlet recently sat down with Bloomberg to discuss an unusually taboo topic – money. Seeing as she and Wade have both made a name for themselves in their respective industry, it’s easy enough to assume their set for life. According to Gabrielle, however, that’s not exactly the case.

While she’s certainly gone through tremendous growth over the years, Union is open in sharing that she still deals with financial anxiety. The outlet asked her, “When did you develop your first sense of [monetary] security?” to which she answered, “I still struggle with that. I have more responsibilities for my money.” The mother of one said that there have been times when she’s stressed over whether a movie role will open or not, seeing as she has so many people to take care of outside of her own husband and kids. Thankfully, being able to split costs with Wade 50/50 has been an immense help for Gabrielle.

Gabrielle Union Gets Real About Money

She’s certainly grateful for the luxurious life her star status affords her, but still, the 50-year-old knows that if she’s not working, “somebody ain’t gone eat.” Even with all the success she has in front of her, Union feels fear about the potential of the “rug [being] pulled from under her” unexpectedly, leaving her in a state of financial ruin, or unable to take care of loved ones.

Elsewhere in her discussion, Gabrielle discussed her endeavours in activism, as well as converting her career success into multimillion-dollar brands. Prior to becoming the household name we know her as now, she spent several years struggling to make it in Los Angeles. After plenty of perseverance, she proudly displays movie star, film producer, and author on her professional resume.

“Bring It On” Reportedly Filmed Fake Scenes To Hide Lack Of Diversity

Bring It On is a cult classic sports film. It follows the Toros, a high school cheer squad, as they battle a rival squad in the National Championships. The film is stacked with star power that is largely split along racial lines. You have the Toros, a predominantly-white squad, facing the Clovers, a predominantly Black squad. There’s even a “white people learn their lesson” ending, with the Clovers winning the championship and Kirsten Dunst, the leader of the Toros, graciously admitting defeat.

Now one of the film’s stars has revealed a shocking secret. Gabrielle Union, who played the captain of the Clovers, has alleged that the production team filmed fake scenes to falsely promote the film’s diversity.

Union Alleges She Filmed “Fake Scenes”

Union has previously claimed that the trailer for Bring It On included “fake” footage of the Clovers. However, the use of trailer-only footage is nothing new for Hollywood. but Union has now taken her allegations a step further while appearing on Bloomberg’s Idea Generation podcast. “The Clovers were only in like a third of the movie, and when they started showing it to test audiences, The Clovers tested through the roof,” Union said. However, her claims didn’t stop there. “They were like, ‘We need more with The Clovers but we can’t add it to the movie,’” Union continued. “We’re going to shoot scenes, fake scenes, that will only be in the trailer to create the illusion that it was like a 50-50 movie. But what’s interesting is, the people spoke.”

“When the people spoke, they were like OK we got to deliver on – at least fake deliver. And the rest is kind of history. It’s wild to me.” While films like Drumline would later put Black stars in the spotlight, it’s shocking (yet completely unsurprising) to see the lengths Hollywood would go to fake diversity. And yet, the film’s premise (white people stealing from Black performers) and the meta example of that also is part of the appeal for Union. “I think it’s just what the movie represents,” Union said. “Badass young Black girls who refuse to take shit and never back down. It still appeals to me to this day.”
