Soulja Boy’s Baby Mother Taking Anxiety & Insomnia Meds Amid Blueface Lawsuit

Jackilyn Martinez, the mother of Soulja Boy’s child, says she’s on new medications for anxiety and insomnia amid her defamation lawsuit against Blueface. Her attorneys, Vadim Yeremenko and Tara Licata, told TMZ that their client is dealing with enough hate on the internet for it to have an effect on her mental well-being. She’s also begun seeing a therapist and a psychiatrist.

Martinez’s lawsuit against Blueface stems from the rapper saying they had sex the day before her and Soulja Boy’s baby shower back in 2022. In doing so, Blueface insinuated that the couple’s baby could be his. Martinez’s lawsuit claims Blueface said: “Till Soulja get a DNA test that’s my child lil bro I’m the daddy now,” as well as “What’s old about your baby mama sucking my d*ck.”

“Plaintiff is gravely concerned for herself and her child’s safety and well being, and plaintiff is extremely nervous and afraid to go outside and/or be in public,” Martinez’s lawsuit also says. It suggests that Blueface’s comments imply she is “promiscuous” and “unfaithful to the father of her child.” She cites defamation, false light, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and negligence. In turn, Martinez is seeking real and punitive damages and for her attorney’s fees to be covered. Additionally, she wants a permanent injunction to bar Blueface from further defaming her.

When The Neighborhood Talk shared the update on Instagram, fans praised Martinez for standing up to the polarizing rapper. “Yess someone finally standing in business when it comes to blueface,” one user commented. Another wrote: “She’s making sure she wins her case any means necessary and I love it!” The lawsuit comes as Blueface is currently in jail for violating his probation. Gabrielle Union & Dwyane Wade Split Bills 50/50, She Admits To Financial Security Struggles

Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade have long been one of Hollywood’s favourite couples. From speculating about their life in the bedroom together to praising the way they parent the athlete’s transgender daughter, Zaya, the pair has cemented their status as #CoupleGoals. Never one to shy away from being candid about her personal life, the Bring It On starlet recently sat down with Bloomberg to discuss an unusually taboo topic – money. Seeing as she and Wade have both made a name for themselves in their respective industry, it’s easy enough to assume their set for life. According to Gabrielle, however, that’s not exactly the case.

While she’s certainly gone through tremendous growth over the years, Union is open in sharing that she still deals with financial anxiety. The outlet asked her, “When did you develop your first sense of [monetary] security?” to which she answered, “I still struggle with that. I have more responsibilities for my money.” The mother of one said that there have been times when she’s stressed over whether a movie role will open or not, seeing as she has so many people to take care of outside of her own husband and kids. Thankfully, being able to split costs with Wade 50/50 has been an immense help for Gabrielle.

Gabrielle Union Gets Real About Money

She’s certainly grateful for the luxurious life her star status affords her, but still, the 50-year-old knows that if she’s not working, “somebody ain’t gone eat.” Even with all the success she has in front of her, Union feels fear about the potential of the “rug [being] pulled from under her” unexpectedly, leaving her in a state of financial ruin, or unable to take care of loved ones.

Elsewhere in her discussion, Gabrielle discussed her endeavours in activism, as well as converting her career success into multimillion-dollar brands. Prior to becoming the household name we know her as now, she spent several years struggling to make it in Los Angeles. After plenty of perseverance, she proudly displays movie star, film producer, and author on her professional resume.

SZA Covers “CR Fashion Book,” Talks Anxiety, Taking Inspo From Kelis, Her Mother, And More

SZA may have made her fans wait a considerable amount of time before finally delivering her sophomore album, SOS, last year, but the TDE artist didn’t hold back on the 23-song tracklist. Following the project’s release, she headed out on tour across North America, attracting celebrity friends like Frank Ocean, Lori Harvey, and Damson Idris to step out in support of her. The genre-bending vocalist may be taking a break from the road for now, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have more exciting news to share today (March 28).

As per Bossip, SZA is the latest famous face to grace the cover of the bi-annual CR Fashion Book publication. Issue 22 has been titled “Mother Nature,” and finds the “Kill Bill” hitmaker serving plenty of beachy looks and very valid face cards. While the photos are surely what will first draw many in, in her accompanying interview, she discusses plenty of interesting topics, including her mental health. “I’m neurotic about everything,” the St. Louis-born songstress explains. “I’m neurotic, and I have a lot of anxiety.”

The 33-year-old also spoke candidly about finding inspiration in Kelis as a young girl. “There was no one that looked like her and [also] thought like I did. And I think now we know people like Kelis exist. So, looking at her growing up, I was like, wow, I am that,” she recalled. Of course, SZA’s mother also played a key role in moulding the woman we know her as now. “She is definitely more conservative than I am,” she explained. “But I still thought [her clothing] was cool because it was thrift, and things that come from places with culture and history are more important than a name brand.”

Elsewhere in their chat, the Ctrl singer also reflected on the current “scarcity mindset” that human beings are being plagued with, as well as her plans for the future. “I feel like designing is in my nature. And I’m gonna continue to do that,” she teased. Find early photos from SZA’s CR Fashion Book cover here, and check back later for more pop culture and streetwear news updates.

Cardi B Reveals Anxiety Has Prevented Her From Releasing New Music

Without a doubt, Cardi B is one of the best-selling artists in Hip-Hop right now. However, for one reason or another, her long-awaited sophomore album never seems to materialize fully. In 2020, she seemed all but poised to start her album rollout with the sensational Megan Thee Stallion-assisted single “WAP.” In 2021, she returned with the solo single “UP,” and earlier this summer, she dropped “Hot Shit” with Lil Durk and Kanye West. Still, Cardi B has yet to confirm when she will officially release her next full-length project.

Cardi’s popular debut album Invasion of Privacy earned her a Grammy and broke several commercial records. Yet, well over four years later, Cardi’s sophomore follow-up doesn’t feel any closer. As a result, several fans have started expressing their frustration with the long wait. Now, in her latest response to fans, Cardi B has shared an explanation for her sophomore album’s delay.

Cardi B opens up about her struggles with anxiety.

In a recent screengrab shared by The Neighborhood Talk, Cardi B reveals that her music career has become a major source of anxiety for her. In the brief clip, she admits that making music used to be fun, but now, all of the criticism and expectations has started to weight down on her.

“I used to love making music, but now, making music to me has become like a job that gives me anxiety,” Cardi B says in the video. “Everybody just critique everything that I do, that it’s just like…you know, sometimes you just don’t want to do something that may give you that much anxiety. So I just be like, “Uh!” — freezing myself.”

Just a couple of weeks ago, Cardi B fired back at a TikTok user who argued that she keeps pushing her album back due to fears over low sales. In a since-deleted tweet, she clapped back, saying, “I am a human baby.. when I drop my album I’m touring the world. I gotta mentally & physically prepare myself for all of that .I didn’t have management for 2 years and now I’m feelin ready ..I DO THINGS ON MY TIME MY WAY.”

Cardi’s latest statement about her music-related anxiety definitely lines up with her response, specifically the “I am a human” tidbit. Are you surprised to hear Cardi B admit that she struggles with anxiety? And are you still excited to hear her long-awaited follow-up to Invasion of Privacy? Coi Leray Admits Her Trust Issues Are A Result Of Her ‘Anxiety’ On Her New Song

Coi Leray had a breakout year in 2021. She landed her first successful record with “No More Parties,” a song that entered the top-40 section of the Billboard Hot 100. It was also remixed by Lil Durk after gaining viral attention on TikTok. She later released “Big Purr (Prrdd)” with Pooh Shiesty, which also made its way onto the Billboard singles chart, in addition to making an appearance in the 2021 XXL Freshman class. All of that points to signs that Coi could be in for a big year in 2022 as she’s due for another project.

The New Jersey makes her return with “Anxiety,” her first song of 2022. The track is a bright record that takes a step into the pop lane as Coi speaks about the nature of anxiety and how it affects her from day-to-day. “I still got anxiety, that’s why I keep it on me / Sometimes I feel like, can’t trust no one around me,” she sings on the new track. “There’s another side of me but I don’t even show it / ‘Cause I got way too many people eating off me.”

Coi’s new song arrives after she concluded 2021 with “Medicine,” another record that touched on the topic of anxiety. She spoke about her struggles in a statement that she shared with the song. “Kind of been a rough year, even though I made millions, it came with a lot of depression,” she wrote before hinting at her plans for 2022 with a confident end to the statement. “This new year is going to be one of the biggest years of my life,” she wrote. “My album is going to be one of the biggest female artist albums in the world, I can promise you that.”

You can listen to “Anxiety” in the video above.
