Funny Marco Thinks Bobbi Althoff Joint Tour Could Still Happen

If there was an award for “Best Breakout Comedy Star of 2023,” both Funny Marco and Bobbi Althoff would easily be in the running. They’ve been hard at work for longer, but this year is when they really started to get a lot more attention, laughs, and opportunities. However, it seems like things between the two are not as buddy-buddy as they once were, or Marco is just trolling us a little with his demeanor. Moreover, he recently spoke to Complex‘s Speedy Morman for 360 With Speedy at ComplexCon 2023 and addressed a previous promise that they would go on tour together eventually.

As their conversation began to wrap up, Morman asked Funny Marco about Bobbi Althoff and how he appeared on her show. When he asked what their relationship is like and whether they’ll go on the tour that they promised, Marco started drinking from his water bottle and asked how much time they had left (3 minutes, by the way). Speedy had already mentioned that their initial dates disappeared, so something must’ve happened, and Marco said that “she didn’t feel good,” so they scrapped it. Once Althoff feels better, though, he’s down to hop back on the road and talk about “just a whole bunch of fun stuff.”

Furthermore, during this same sit-down, Funny Marco also spoke on his first-ever Open Thoughts interview with DaBaby. “It was dangerous,” he chuckled. “When I asked DaBaby why he rapped the same, I was trying to ask for the people. That was something I shouldn’t have did, but I did it. But it was great. We ended up making a great episode, got a great relationship. But sometimes I’m like, don’t ask what the people want to know– just ask what you need to know. So that was something that I learned from that.”

Meanwhile, Althoff’s been pretty low-key as of late, perhaps due to backlash for recent interview snippets. Either way, if she’s not feeling well, we wish her a speedy recovery with hopes that she’ll be able to enjoy this tour. Funny Marco On DaBaby’s “Open Thoughts” Episode: “It Was Dangerous”

During a recent conversation on Complex‘s 360 With Speedy, Funny Marco reflected on his first-ever episode of Open Thoughts, which saw him interview DaBaby. According to him, he learned a few lessons from the experience, including not to ask guests shady questions. He recalled questioning why DaBaby sounds the same on all of his songs, which looking back, he would have second guessed.

“It was dangerous,” he explained jokingly. “When I asked DaBaby why he rapped the same, I was trying to ask for the people. That was something I shouldn’t have did but I did it. But it was great. We ended up making a great episode, got a great relationship. But sometimes I’m like, don’t ask what the people want to know – just ask what you need to know. So that was something that I learned from that.”

While Funny Marco’s interview with DaBaby certainly had its fair share of awkward moments, it’s far from the only Open Thoughts episode to make headlines. He sat down with G Herbo and Southside in October, which resulted in a fairly controversial interview. As they filmed the episode, the two artists broke Marco’s $30K watch, called him names, and overall, appeared to be bad guests. Luckily, he was also able to use that situation as a learning experience and move on relatively unscathed.

“I was upset while it was going on,” he told social media followers shortly after the interview dropped. “But I understand I got a job to do & one thing about me, I respect people on my show. I didn’t want to match they Energy. It’s so many L’s I took on my Journey I wish I could show I don’t hide anything. So I feel it was only right to put the episode out myself. Nicki Minaj has been everywhere recently. She’s appeared on a stream with Kai Cenat where she shouted out Travis Scott. Subsequently, she went on Stephen Colbert to discuss her young song Papa Bear. While there she threw down the gauntlet in a freestyle battle with Colbert and was shocked when he had the perfect response. She’s also appeared on Joe Budden’s podcast for a very long conversation about all her recent undertakings that was released overnight.

But in one of her strangest interviews yet, she sits down with Funny Marco. In her announcement tweet about the release of the interview she even draws attention to how weird it is. “MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!! FUNNY MARCO WHO IS A VERY STRANGE & ODD MAN INTERVIEWED ME” she captioned the announcement. The interview is called Open Thoughts With Nicki Minaj and it lives up to that promise. The interview has only been out for a few hours but fans have already unpacked all the funniest parts. They’ve also begun grabbing gifs and screenshots of the interview to repost on social media. Cole, Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Wayne, and more appear across the album’s tracklist.

In her newly released conversation with Joe Budden, Nicki gives one feature in particular a ton of credit. She shouts out J. Cole for allegedly out-rapping her on her own song. Nicki Minaj is throwing all hands on deck for the post-release promotion of her brand new album, Pink Friday 2. Moreover, fans are still poring over it, debating its quality, and picking their favorite tracks, a sentiment that will likely hold us over until the next project. However, she seems quite happy to bask in it all rather than take a break now, and she is promoting a lot of new interviews, conversations, bonus tracks, upcoming releases, appearances, her world tour, and so much more. The most recent example of this is a preview the rapper gave of an upcoming interview with comedian and social media star Funny Marco.

Previously, the two had met on Instagram Live to discuss the possibility of putting something together. For those unaware, Funny Marco is a new star in this slightly awkward, blunt, but nonetheless engaging and relatable brand of comedy these days. As such, we’re sure that he and Nicki Minaj had a great conversation filled with soon-to-be beloved moments. For example, she joined fellow New Yorker Kai Cenat for his recent Twitch stream, and it was about as much fun as you’d expect. Nicki Minaj tried to learn the Jersey club dance, but also had fun throwing it back for the chat. Considering that she’s not always outside despite a pretty heavy online presence, it’s actually quite sweet to see her engaging with fans, other creators, and the industry as a whole again. Not that the 41-year-old always has to, but we’d missed it for some time.

Jaidyn Alexis has become the latest star to sit down with Funny Marco. The viral music star, and baby mama of Blueface, sat down to talk about everything that came to mind. The interview covered everything from her viral fame to her contentious relationship with the LA rapper. However, it’s a very low-key interview, and very reminiscent of Bobbi Althoff’s style of “awkward interview”. Despite the title of the series being Open Thoughts, Alexis is not the most open interviewee. Be sure to watch the full 20-minute interview below.

Alexis’ interview comes a few weeks after Blueface walked out of his own interview with Marco. In what was likely a staged bit, Blueface walked out of the interview after Marco was unable to name three of the off-beat talent’s songs. Marco got as far as Thotiana and it’s Cardi B remix but couldn’t think of a third song before Blueface called it quits on the discussion.

Funny Marco Speaks On G Herbo Interview Fallout

Meanwhile, Funny Marco has claimed that his interview with G Herbo going viral led to Herbo’s team demanding its removal. “Okay, Mr. Herbo. The sh-t go viral. Y’all seen it. Team then calls. ‘Take this shit down! Take this shit down!’” Marco claimed during a stand-up show this week. However, Marco said he refused the demand and kept the interview up. Since the interview went live, Marco has claimed that the final product was much tamer than what actually happened on set. Marco alleges that he was called a “bi-tch” multiple times and that his guests broke his $30,000 watch. Herbo, who also reportedly threw a cup at Marco, has since claimed that there was no ill intent behind anything he did during the interview and that he was just being playful with Marco. Southside also weighed in, calling Marco a “b-tch” and asking why he was trying to start beef over the interview. Marco has not directly responded to either Herbo or Southside.

Because of all the hoopla surrounding Blueface, presumably, a lot of interviewers are looking to talk with him. One person who recently got the chance to was Funny Marco. He is a comedian and podcaster who has a pretty massive social media following. His YouTube channel features some impressive guests and hilarious moments. One of the most memorable chats was with Sexyy Red when they talked about how she looks like Young Thug’s twin.

This talk with Blueface will also go down as one of the funnier moments in hip-hop this year. Marco says he thinks the Cali-born artist is very talented, but then bluntly asks, “Why can’t you rap on beat?” The editing is done masterfully as there are some funny cutbacks to Marco’s face as he stares blankly at Blueface. He returns the favor to the host asking him to name the songs he is off-beat on. All Marco can say is a lot of them, which has Blueface thinking he does not know any of his music. He then proceeds to ask, “Name three Blueface songs right now Marco. Name three Blueface songs, or this f*****g interview is over.” Marco can list off “Thotiana” and the remix with Cardi B and YG. He might have been able to name one more, but Blueface was not having the disrespect and he walked out.

Southside, also present at the interview, also put Marco on blasting for trying to paint him as a villain. “If you a b-tch-a– n-gga just stay the f-ck from around me. I got enough b-tches. I don’t need more b-tches around me. Just leave me the f-ck alone. I don’t gotta be nobody’s friend. I’m rich, young, successful, I’m not a rapper. I’m a producer, I don’t have to do f-cking interviews,” Southside wrote on social media.

However, he was finished going off at the YouTuber. “For a n-gga to get on there saying he’s scared, you a h-e. You ain’t have to put it out h-e-a– n-gga. Now I really want to press you because you a b-tch. You a grown man. Herb wasn’t even doing nothing to that man. That’s how them folks play. It’s cool for a n-gga to get on there and say slick sh-t to a n-gga. I f-ck with Marco. Marco is still my n-gga. I don’t think he was uncomfortable. I think bro was all the way good. Funny Marco Still Wants Chris Brown To Date His Sister

Funny Marco is quite the adamant and persistent person, especially when it comes to setting up his family for a life of further fame. Moreover, he recently showed some Instagram DMs he sent to Chris Brown with pictures of Marco with his sister, who he thinks would be a great partner for the singer. “This is my sister I bet you gone change ya mind now chris [prayer hands emoji],” the actor and comedian wrote to Breezy. “Just waiting on @chrisbrownofficial to respond happy Thanksgiving y’all @ace.devin,” he captioned the screenshots in question. For those unaware, this stems from a recent interview the two had together.

During the conversation, Funny Marco asked Chris Brown whether he’d be interested in meeting her. He said that she was identical to him, and that she’d be down to start a family, and the R&B star responded to all of this with a firm “Hell nah.” “F**k no,” he continued, and then he walked that back a bit after seeing the look on Marco’s face. “My bad, I didn’t mean to diss your sister like that, I’m just saying. But, f**k no.” It was a pretty funny moment, and we’re glad that it didn’t devolve into the straight-up bullying that Marco endured during his interview with G Herbo and Southside.
