Hulk Hogan And Sky Daily Marry In Family-Only Ceremony In Florida

Two months after getting engaged, Hulk Hogan and Sky Daily have gotten married at an intimate ceremony in Florida. The pair wed in front of a small gathering of family at the Indian Rocks Baptist Church in Clearwater this past Friday. Daily looked radiant in a sleeveless, strapless dress courtesy of Rue de Seine. Meanwhile, Hogan was dressed to the nines in a sharp tuxedo, though he did add an iconic bandana to the mix.

It’s Hogan’s third marriage and Daily’s second. However, Daily has been very candid about just how special Hogan makes her feel. “I wasn’t allowed to watch a lot of TV growing up. I knew who Hulk Hogan was obviously, but I hadn’t seen any of his fights or watched any wrestling. But I think he liked the fact that he had to ask me for my number as opposed to everyone else just jamming their number into his hand. He knew I was interested in Terry, not Hulk. He swept me off my feet and he is my ultimate male. I’ve never been with someone who puts me first in every single thing. When I wake up in the morning he’s there ready to hand me my coffee,” Daily told the Daily Mail back in July.

TMZ obtained images of the happy couple, which you can check out below. TMZ has been the go-to for all things Hulk during his whirlwind engagement. In images obtained by TMZ, Daily and Hogan were spotted entering Latitude 28 in Clearwater, Florida. The photos show Daily spotting a large engagement ring. Clearly, Hogan went on all out on proposal number three. However, his love life isn’t the only thing keeping him in the headlines. Which is rare because, after all, it’s Hulk Hogan.

Turning 70 this year, Hogan has opened up about his long wrestling career. He has been brutally candid about the toll that wrestling took on his body. The superstar claims to be unable to feel his legs. Furthermore, he told Men’s Health that he regrets not retiring earlier due to the physical consequences of a nearly 40-year pro wrestling career. However, Hogan has also hinted that he would like to potentially return to the ring one last time for a true retirement fight. Despite this, for now, it appears that Hogan is happy to focus on his impending nuptials and his new future with a new wife.

Sexyy Red Shooting Victim Identified By Police In Florida

The man killed near the set of a Sexyy Red music video has been identified as 36-year-old Anthony Dennis. Broward County Sheriffs say Dennis was one of two people shot at a flea market where Red was shooting a video earlier this month. Dennis was declared dead at the scene while the other victim was taken to hospital. However, police have declined to provide the identity of the hospitalized individual.

Red took to social media after the shooting to deny any connection between her video shoot and the incident. “I send my condolences to the family of the man who lost his life and prayers up for the person who was wounded. But I gotta address the rumors that it happened at my video shoot bc shit is not true, at all. To be clear it happened at a gas station across the street from my video set. Florida Highway Patrol and Broward County Sheriff confirmed that the shooting wasn’t on my set,” Red wrote at the time.

However, police are currently investigating whether Dennis’ murder is connected to any of the other recent shootings in the area. The potentially linked crimes are the shooting near Red’s set, the murder of the mother of Kodak Black-affiliated rapper Syko Bob, and the murder of another, as-yet-unidentified local rapper. Furthermore, of particular interest to investigators is the similarity between the deaths of Syko Bob’s mother and the unidentified rapper. In both cases, the victim was reportedly ambushed by assailants who were allegedly waiting for their victim.

In regards to Dennis’ murder, the local sheriff’s department is asking for anyone with information to come forward. Those with information are being asked to contact Homicide Detective John Curcio at 954-321-4212. Anonymous tips can be provided to Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477 or browardcrimestoppers.org.

Sexyy Red And Syko Bob Shootings Possibly Linked, Claim Florida Police

Police in South Florida are investigating whether a trio of shootings over the past week are linked. The crimes in question are a shooting near where a Sexyy Red video was being filmed, the shooting death of Syko Bob’s mother, and the shooting death of an as-yet unidentified rapper. Furthermore, of particular interest to investigators is the similarity between the deaths of Syko Bob’s mother and the unidentified rapper. In both cases, the victim was reportedly ambushed by assailants who were allegedly waiting for their victim.

Meanwhile, Sexyy Red has been adamant that there is no link between a gas station shooting and her nearby music video shoot. Taking to Instagram, Red said that the shooting took place across the street from where she was filming and that it just happened to be a coincidence that she was there. Furthermore, Red asked fans not to manipulate the facts to try and create a link between the two incidents.

Wave Of Shootings Hits South Florida

“To be clear it happened at a gas station across the street from my video set. Florida Highway Patrol and Broward County Sheriff confirmed that the shooting wasn’t on my set,” Red began. Furthermore, she continued, “[I’m] secure and thanks to my production team getting all the paperwork right and working with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to hire off-duty’s to make sure everyone was safe. We finished the shoot at a different location and everyone from our set went home safely. Period,” Red wrote of her experience on Instagram.

Meanwhile, Syko Bob is yet to comment on his mother’s death. The Kodak Black-affiliated artist was sentenced to five years in prison on gun charges back in March of this year. Little information about the murder has been released. However, law enforcement confirmed that the victim was reportedly ambushed in her driveway in Fort Lauderdale. However, it’s unclear if the murder is connected to her son and his Sniper Gang connections in any way.

Kodak Black’s Artist Syko Bob’s Mother Fatally Shot In Florida: Report

Tragedy struck Syko Bob recently, a Broward County rapper signed to Kodak Black’s Sniper Gang label. Moreover, new reports from VladTV indicate that Bob’s mother passed away following a fatal shooting in a Fort Lauderdale neighborhood on Wednesday. Said reports stand unconfirmed as of writing this article, since the Florida MC hasn’t spoken out about this news yet. What’s more is that these reports paired with a video making rounds on social media of a van with bullet holes. In it, a police officer approaches the vehicle and discovers the victim, and sirens ring off loudly in the background.

Furthermore, there aren’t many other details that emerged surrounding this case, such as crime scene analyses or other information. As such, we can assume that this is still an open case under Broward County police jurisdiction and will likely progress in the coming days and weeks. Unfortunately for Syko Bob, he can’t be there with his family and friends to grieve this cataclysmic loss if reports are true. The rapper is currently behind bars for a five-year prison sentence following a guilty plea for illegal gun possession charges in December of 2022.

Syko Bob, real name Cambrel Smart, dealt with this legal situation for the better part of the last two years, starting with a traffic stop on January 5, 2022. After cops stopped him for speeding, they found a bag of marijuana and a loaded gun in his car. According to jail records uncovered by HipHopDX on Instagram, authorities charged him with a DUI. Also, they added charges of carrying a concealed firearm, possession of over 20 grams of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance without prescription, and possession of a weapon or ammo by a convicted individual.

Meanwhile, the “My Lil S**t” MC must be going through a lot right now seeing this news. With that in mind, we send him condolences for his loss and hope that he will be able to grieve and honor his mother despite his situation. These cases are never easy to manage, especially when one’s dealing with heavy external factors like jail time. For more news and the latest updates on Syko Bob, stick around on HNHH.
Rest In Peace.

Uncle Luke Calls Out Hip-Hop 50 Events For Lack Of Florida Rappers

Uncle Luke says that the ongoing celebrations in honor of the 50th anniversary of hip-hop haven’t done enough to recognize rappers from Florida. He voiced his complaint in a post on Twitter, Sunday, calling out “the disrespect towards Florida hip-hop” from over the years.

“Hip-hop fans from Florida. Don’t be upset they don’t recognize your favorite Floridian artists as part of hip-hop’s 50th year celebrations,” Luke began. “This industry has never considered us as hip-hop from the time I started hip-hop in the south. You can only imagine the names they called us. Country booty music trash, music. I can go on and on the disrespect towards Florida hip-hop.”

Just say they aren’t inviting you,” they posted. Another agreed with Luke: “I saw BET celebrate and they played the music, but people that visit the culture can’t tell me who to appreciate. Dwyane Wade On Being Approached About Running For Office: “I Have A Role As An American Citizen”

During a recent interview with the New York Times‘ Sopan Deb, Dwyane Wade discussed a potential career pivot. Apparently, he’s been approached about running for political office, and may even be considering it. In May, it was reported that donors were eyeballing some NBA players to run for seats in Florida’s Senate. It would be an attempt to help Florida, which has leaned red in recent years, gain some strong Democratic representation.

At the time, it was said that Dwyane Wade and Grant Hill had “rocketed to the top of the recruitment lists for some Florida Democrats looking for a strong candidate.” Up until recently, however, it was unclear whether or not Wade had actually been approached about the situation. Now, he confirmed that he has been. “I mean, it’s just conversation,” he told Deb. “‘Hey, you would be good for,’ ‘Hey, we can see you in,’ ‘We would love to have you in.’

Dwyane Wade Says He Doesn’t “Play The Politician Games”

“It’s things that I’m passionate about that I will speak out on and speak up for. And so I don’t play the politician games. I don’t know a lot about it.” Though Wade may not as well-versed in politics as his potential competitors, he’s a major figure who’d certainly pique the attention of voters. He’s also received a lot of praise for his outward support of his daughter Zaya, who’s trans.

It appears as though Wade might actually be considering the idea of running for office, telling Deb that he has an opportunity that others don’t. “I also understand that I have a role as an American citizen and as a known person to be able to highlight and speak on things that other people may not be able to,” Wade says. “They don’t have the opportunity to do this.”

6ix9ine Arrested In Florida For No-Show In Court Amid Massive Credit Card Debt

It seems like not even jail time is enough to scare 6ix9ine into paying his six-figure credit card debt to American Express. Moreover, according to Page Six, authorities recently arrested the rapper in Florida’s Palm Beach County on Wednesday (August 9) for failing to appear in court. Unless this is an entirely different case unknown to the public, you might’ve heard of this development in relation to his credit card debts. Just yesterday as of writing this article (August 9), American Express reportedly sent out subpoenas to begin taking money from his other bank accounts to pay for the near-$120K unpaid fees. It’s still unclear how much this will actually affect his finances or if he will try to reach some sort of deal.

Furthermore, failure to show up in court when summoned can result in either imprisonment or fines, according to West Palm Beach Defense. How much these payments or jail stays are depends on the judge in the case, the severity of the crimes in their eyes, and what the case is about. With that in mind, apparently 6ix9ine got off pretty easy with this recent arrest, and perhaps his legal future over his debts will be similar. After all, the New York MC was only in custody for about three hours before posting a $2,000 bond and being free again.

Of course, the rainbow-haired provocateur is no stranger to legal trouble or court cases. Also this week, a tattoo artist named Takashi Matsuba sued him for defamatory comments. It’s ironic because 6ix9ine (also known as Tekashi) said that the ink artist is the inspiration for his rap name. However, the 27-year-old also claimed Matsuba was addicted to heroin in the past, which he claimed in his suit to have negatively impacted his business.

“I lost a number of friends, but by far the most important one is my dear wife,” Matsuba’s lawsuit read. “We divorced last year, because she no longer trusted me after Hernandez’s false statements about me were broadcast on Hulu and Showtime.” We’ll see which case ends up being more impactful on the “Shaka Laka” singer. Kodak Black’s Rise From The Streets To Hip-Hop Stardom

Say what you will, but Kodak Black has emerged as a generational voice in hip-hop. Hailing from Pompano Beach, Florida, the self-proclaimed “Project Baby” ushered in a new era in hip-hop, one that reflected his upbringing in the Sunshine State and created a blueprint for the artists that followed. However, his career hasn’t gone without controversies. From his support for Donald Trump to his latest “Shaka Laka” collaboration with Tekashi 6ix9ine alongside Yailin La Mas Viral, Kodak evidently has no issues going against the grain.

However, that hardly scratches the surface regarding his contentious presence in the culture. Since emerging into the limelight, he has faced a number of legal issues, including charges related to sexual assault and gun possession, that have derailed his career. Regardless, his influence extends to the biggest artists in the game, like Cardi B, who cited the Florida native as the inspiration behind “Bodak Yellow.” Add to the fact that hip-hop’s Big 3 – Drake, J. Cole, and Kendrick Lamar – have extended their co-signs to his talent.

Early Life & Musical Beginnings

kodak Black

Born Dieuson Octave (later changing his name to Bill Kahan Kapri) on June 11, 1997, Kodak Black was raised in the Golden Acres housing projects in Pompano Beach. Exposed to a world of violence and crime at an early age, he began rapping during elementary school. Eventually, he began recording music at a local trap house in his area while reading dictionaries and thesauruses to boost his vocabulary.

Unfortunately, during these times, he also got caught up in criminal activities, from breaking and entering to fights. Still, by age 12, he began establishing his name in his local area. As J-Black, he joined a rap group called Brutal Youngnz and, later, The Kolyons. However, his 2013 mixtape, Project Baby, released through Sniper Gang and Dollaz N Dealz, established him as a force of his own.

“Skrt” & “No Flockin”

By 2014, Kodak had already released his second mixtape, Heart Of The Projects, boasting two of his earliest hits, “Skrt” and “No Flockin.” The latter would, in fact, influence Cardi B’s “Bodak Yellow” and earned Yak writing credits on the song, while the former earned critical praise. However, Drake later co-signed the song in an Instagram video where he danced along to the record. Afterward, OVO Sound Radio included “SKRT” in one of their episodes, helping Kodak Black transform into one of the most exciting voices in hip-hop. Even though people like Earl Sweatshirt criticized Drake for supposedly “vulturing” off of new talent, the relationship between Drizzy and Kodak remains strong to this day.

If there have ever been doubts surrounding Boosie Badazz’s influence on the next generation, look no further than Kodak Black. While the two may be in the midst of a spat these days surrounding Yak’s collaboration with 6ix9ine, it’s hard to deny the influence Boosie’s had on him, not only through their connection to the South but Yak’s ability to highlight the localized sound of his area and the realist portrayals of his neighborhood.

This, by extension, inspired plenty of other artists that followed to similarly share their respective stories without compromising their penmanship. Projects like 2015’s Institution, 2017’s Painting Pictures, and of course, Dying To Live in 2017 highlighted Kodak Black’s ability to preach the street’s sermon without sounding holier-than-thou. His unapologetically youthful personality established his position on the XXL Freshman list in 2017 audiences, while his emotive tracks revealed a deep sense of pain and struggle. Kodak’s music expressed the resilience and determination that defined his journey from the projects to prominence.

The rich influence on Southern hip-hop extends into Kodak Black’s production choices, as well. Kodak Black has proved to be a sonic chameleon with effortless versatility. His catalog draws an evident influence from 90s Southern hip-hop, from twangy guitars to the bluesy progressions found in his production choices.

Controversies & Setbacks

There’s no shortage of controversies surrounding Kodak Black. In 2017, he went on Instagram Live while a woman performed fellatio on him. A few months later, he faced accusations of colorism after he stated that he “don’t really like Black girls” like that while also claiming that he preferred women with a lighter complexion because they’re easier to break down. Then, following the news of Nipsey Hussle’s death, he suggested waiting “a whole year” before trying to pursue sexual relations with the late rapper’s longtime partner Lauren London. Following the backlash, Kodak later apologized. In addition, he also caught significant flack in recent times after he received a pardon from Donald Trump during the last days of his presidency. Although Yak managed to get his sentence commuted, his fans didn’t agree with his alignment and support for the former president.

Kodak Black has and continues to face several legal issues throughout his career. In his teenage years, he spent time in a youth detention center. In 2015, he faced charges related to robbery and false imprisonment. He also served time for misdemeanor drug charges. However, his most significant charge has been linked to allegations of sexual assault.

In 2020, the rapper pleaded guilty to firearms charges after he was detained at the Canadian-American border. A year prior, he was arrested for providing false information on a form related to a gun purchase. Although Trump later commuted his 2020 conviction, he returned home to face the alleged sexual assault trial. He took a plea bargain for a lesser charge of assault and battery and received an 18-month probation sentence.

Yak is still facing challenges with the legal system, recently facing charges of trafficking oxycodone and possession of a controlled substance. This came after police pulled him over in Florida over tinted windows. Police claimed they discovered $75K in cash and oxycodone pills.

Conclusion

Kodak Black’s journey from a young rapper in Pompano Beach to becoming a prominent figure in hip-hop is marked by controversy, resilience, and authenticity. Despite facing numerous setbacks in his career, his presence remains prevalent in the culture. From controversial statements to hit records like “Zeze” and “Super Gremlin,” Kodak Black is an unstoppable entity in the rap game. His undeniable influence continues to touch the underground and radio, even if not widely recognized. Regardless, Kodak Black remains one of the most consistent and refreshing artists in hip-hop, which is why people like Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and J. Cole have shown him love in the past.

Sunburn, a 15-track release with just one guest appearance from Weezer, landed this past New Music Friday (July 7), and so far, fans seem to be loving it even more than Fike’s 2020 debut.

On What Could Possibly Go Wrong the Florida-born artist operated solo across 14 titles. “Why,” “Superstar Sh*t,” and “Chicken Tenders” have become the most popular tracks in the years since, helping to propel his career to new heights.
