Drake Links With 50 Cent In Miami

The rap realms of OVO and G-Unit may not have crossed over on a track yet, but at least its two leaders have a lot of respect for one another. Moreover, Drake and 50 Cent just linked up at a Miami club where the latter performed on Saturday night (March 25). Furthermore, this link-up comes after the 6 God recently previewed new music on his Instagram, which has fans ready for yet another drop soon. However, a lot of people aren’t actually very happy with this crossover at all. In fact, many are outraged because the Canadian superstar canceled his headlining performance at Lollapalooza Brazil in São Paulo on Sunday night (March 27), citing issues with production and sound.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, Drake is without members of his sound and production team, essential to the realization of the Lollapalooza show in Sao Paulo,” a statement on the festival’s official Instagram post read. “Drake was excited to perform for his fans in Brazil,” the statement added. “Unfortunately, this is beyond his control. Apologies.” What’s more is that this isn’t the first time that Drake’s recent Lollapalooza appearances in Latin America caused an uproar. Fans expressed disappointment and anger over his Lolla Argentina set, which while amazing during its run, was also short, late, and canceled its livestream just minutes before starting.

50 Cent & Drake In Miami

Still, a lot of fans already let that go, and now hyper-focused on the prospect of new music from Drake. Similarly, 50 fans eagerly await his next album, as he spoke on working with Dr. Dre, Eminem, and more. Not only that, but the hip-hop world got even more excited when he revealed he’s guesting on Nas and Hit-Boy’s King’s Disease IV.

Meanwhile, maybe Drake will never address his set issues with various Lollapalooza festivals in Latin America. Regardless, he’s the kind of artist that draws eyes for anything and everything he does, whether negative or positive. With that in mind, class actions lawsuits against Ticketmaster for overpriced Drake tickets might paint that tour in a negative light for some time. Still, fans expect a great set of shows regardless. For the latest on Drake and 50 Cent, stick around on HNHH.

50 Cent Jokingly Dissed By Lil Nas X

Lil Nas X just jokingly dissed 50 Cent on Twitter, and responses clapped back so much that he muted the conversation. Moreover, he responded to a tweet with a cheeky and jesting message (in typical fashion), delivered briefly to his audience of 8 million followers. Furthermore, the tweet in question was a picture of both 50 and Nas X, basically comparing “rappers then” to “rappers now.” Not only that, but the user who posted the meme-like comparison said they saw it as a downfall for the genre. Then, the “INDUSTRY BABY” responded with a light jab at 50, but one that clearly aimed more at people who take offense to his claims that he’s better.

“This is not fair youre comparing a legend who has changed music forever to 50 cent,” he wrote. At the time of writing this article, the Queens legend hasn’t addressed or responded to either of these messages. Shortly after publishing them, though, the MONTERO rapper posted a screenshot of him muting the conversation for that tweet. As such, he probably got too much hate in his comments section and decided this time to just ignore it rather than clap back at it with a funny tweet like he usually does.

Lil Nas X Throws Some Funny Shade At 50 Cent

All that said, to see 50 respond to the Georgia-born artist would be interesting, to say the least, as he could go ay direction with it. Much like the “In Da Club” rapper himself, Nas X also likes to stir the pot and cause a ruckus online for his words and takes. However, some of that behavior turned damaging earlier this week. Moreover, his tweet about “gays in Africa” caught a lot of fire, primarily because it came soon after sweeping anti-LGBTQIA+ laws passed in Uganda.

With that in mind, if this actually becomes a feud and doesn’t land as the joke it is, things might get ugly. After all, 50’s no stranger to controversy himself, and has a fanbase as passionate and as numerous as Lil Nas X’s to this day. Sure, many could debate that last point either way, but they really do represent two different sides of hip-hop. Hopefully they remember that just because they’re not the same doesn’t mean they have to oppose each other. Or at the very least, they can make some good meme-worthy content out of this. Regardless, stick around on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Lil Nas X and 50 Cent.

50 Cent Reaches Settlement With Medspa In Penis Enlargement Lawsuit

50 Cent just reached a settlement in a six-month lawsuit concerning false suggestions that he underwent penis enlargement procedures. Moreover, the case involved Perfection Plastic Surgery & Medspa, specifically its owner Angela Kogan. Not only that, but The Shade Room also caught a lawsuit from the Queens rapper for falsely implying he got an enhancement surgery, though that was settled in February. Furthermore, 50 claimed that Kogan promoted her business using a photo of him, and indirectly suggested he sought services with her for that reason. The case began in September of 2022 after he filed the suit, and finally found a resolution.

However, its terms aren’t final yet, according to legal documents obtained by AllHipHop. In addition, most of its agreements so far aren’t available to the public. Regardless, at least this marks the end of a pretty long and public ordeal for the “In Da Club” star. His previous settlement with The Shade Room seemed much easier to reach than his spat with Kogan. Fortunately, it looks like all parties are moving things aside, with the outlet retracting its original coverage of 50 and Kogan.

50 Cent Reaches Settlement In Penis Enhancement Case

“The Shade Room previously published an article about penis enhancements on its website and social media accounts,” a statement read. “The article and links to the article included a picture of Curtis J. Jackson, III p/k/a 50 Cent, juxtaposed with an image of a faceless male obtaining a penile enhancement procedure, with a euphemistic eggplant emoji covering the exposed groin area. The Shade Room has since deleted that article and social media posts and wants to make it abundantly clear that 50 Cent did not have penis enhancement surgery or any other procedure to augment his genitals, and any implication to the contrary is false.”

Meanwhile, this unfortunately doesn’t mean the end of the 47-year-old’s present-day legal woes. For example, his legal battle with an ex-drug kingpin over “Power” now roped Lionsgate in with a $300 million lawsuit for threats the rapper allegedly made. As such, Fif will likely split a lot of his already stacked endeavors with some cleaning up in court. Regardless, stick around on HNHH for the latest news and updates on 50 Cent.

Swizz Beatz Isn’t Down For A 50 Cent & Lil Wayne “Verzuz”

One of the hottest topics in hip-hop these days probably won’t pan out, but hope manifested in another way. Swizz Beatz recently expressed that he wouldn’t personally entertain a Verzuz battle between Lil Wayne and 50 Cent. Moreover, the battle series’ creator attended an early screening of Godfather Of Harlem‘s final episode, a show for which he’s Executive Music Producer. At the event, BallerAlert got his thoughts on the hypothetical matchup, which began as a hot debate on Rap Life Radar as people like Lowkey and later Ebro sided with 50. However, even though Swizz shut down its probability, he said he still wants them to appear on the program.

“Me personally, I wouldn’t even do 50 versus Wayne,” the star producer told the publication. “They two different dynamics and two different artists. I would do a different Verzuz for both of them, but we’ll see as we have a lot of things lined up for Verzuz, and hopefully, they are involved. While I can’t give up who I would choose to go against them, just wait and see.”

50 Cent & Lil Wayne Verzuz Not Entertained By Swizz Beatz Amid Debate

Not only that, but the 44-year-old also said that the series will return “ASAP,” and promised that work on it is almost done. Furthermore, he shared excitement for other creative endeavors in the future. Specifically, he spoke about what collaborations he looks forward to, which means a lot considering the extent and caliber of his catalog. “I’ll choose my bro, Lil Durk, because I love what he raps about and how he’s going through it simultaneously,” he said.

“When I was working with DMX, I heard in Durk’s music the situations he was going through in his lyrics – artists like Lil Baby, 42 Dugg, and Durk; there’s so many of them. They, sometimes, overly live through what they saying. I don’t think we should live on the streets just to get back in the streets.” Maybe fans will never truly know the answer to who would win in a Verzuz. Still, hopefully he still works more with both artists in the future. For the latest news and updates on Swizz Beatz, 50 Cent, and Lil Wayne, come back to HNHH.

Young Guru Claims Lil Wayne Would “Wash” 50 Cent In A “Verzuz”

Hip-hop culture’s been debating about who would win in a Verzuz battle between 50 Cent and Lil Wayne, and Young Guru is the latest legend to chime in. Moreover, this all started with multiple media personalities giving their thoughts on the subject, including Ebro, DJ Envy, and their respective radio crews. However, considering that he’s Jay-Z’s longtime engineer, his harsh assessment might just ring harder than any previous take. Furthermore, he took to his Instagram Story to try to set the record straight and speak authoritatively on the subject. Whether he’s right or not, perhaps we’ll never know, but it seems like a 50-50 split as to who would claim victory (or 50-Weezy, I guess).

“For the record y’all are crazy. Wayne would wash 50. Period,” the acclaimed audio technician wrote. Also, he said that To elaborate, here are some takes from other figures who recently debated the issue. First up is Ebro, who said that “what Jadakiss did to Dipset…Is what 50 will do to Wayne.” Eddie Francis disagreed on Rap Life Review, saying that a “wash” is impossible. To be fair, it is a tight race (consider this writer in Tunechi’s corner, with all due respect). Still, Lowkey argued on the program that he needs a carefully curated setlist to stand a chance against the G-Unit mogul.

Young Guru: Lil Wayne Would “Wash” 50 Cent

“Wayne don’t have a Get Rich or Die Tryin,‘” Low claimed, and blasphemously so for many (is Tha Carter III nothing to you?). “We’re not talking about what we like… We’re talking about in a crowd. [50 Cent] is a mainstream monster; Wayne is a cultural mainstream monster. But when we talk about these hits? When we talk about these bodies of work? When we talk about these smashes? I ain’t saying 50’s gonna wash Wayne, but if Wayne is not sequenced right and is not positioned correctly, that could be a very long f***ing night for Dwayne Carter.”

Meanwhile, DJ Envy agreed on The Breakfast Club, although he said it’s closer than many think. Regardless of all that, it’s still highly unlikely that we’ll ever get to answer this question. After all, 50’s dismissed the idea of doing a Verzuz, especially since it was more of a pandemic thing that hasn’t fully come back. On his end, the Young Money icon said that Roc-A-Fella would be the “best competition” against his label in a battle. As such, fans can only keep their fingers crossed and hope that the two incredible MCs look at all the buzz and say, “You know what, why not?” Come back to HNHH to see if that ever happens, and for the latest on 50 Cent, Lil Wayne, and Young Guru.

50 Cent Outraged By Melle Mel’s Eminem Comments

50 Cent responded to Melle Mel’s comments about Eminem in a since-deleted Instagram post aimed at the Furious Five rapper. Just in case you forgot, Mel recently said that Eminem’s only considered a top five MC because he’s white. Afterwards, his claim sparked a lot of discussion online, whether from defenders of Marshall Mathers or his biggest detractors. However, among many other giants, Em has 50 in his corner, and he defended the Detroit rapper no questions asked. In his deleted Instagram post, he spoke on how the landscape Em came up in and influenced is much different to the one Mel found success in.

“There was more money selling dope than being in Hip Hop when [Melle] Mel was popping, the culture has grown so much,” Fif stated. “I am not sure if it would be what it is today with out artist like Eminem. S**t I am not sure I would be who I am with out him but you know it is competitive so n***as gonna hate. LOL f**k outta here ! We sucker free.”

50 Cent’s Deleted Response To Melle Mel About Eminem

Moreover, to be fair, the 61-year-old acknowledged Eminem’s influence in his conversation with The Art Of Dialogue podcast. “Obviously he’s a capable rapper. If you was talking about sales, he’s sold more than everybody. If you were talking about rhyme style, okay he got a rhyme style. But he’s white. He’s white! So now if Eminem was another n***a like all the rest of us, would he be Top 5 on that list when a n**a that could rhyme just as good as him is 35? That had records and all that? He’s 35. He’s white.”

Meanwhile, the “In Da Club” rapper also said that Marshall’s impacted the genre more than Jay-Z. Well, technically he just disagreed with Jamal Crawford’s take on that debate after he sided with Jay in his podcast. “That’s why my five, the dominance outweighs the number,” the former NBA player remarked to Shaq. “Like, JAY-Z’s effect on Hip Hop is bigger than any album sales that Eminem will have, you see what I’m saying? That’s just how it goes.” Regardless of your take on that, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest on 50 Cent, Melle Mel, and Eminem.

50 Cent Names Method Man His Favorite Wu-Tang Member

50 Cent just named Method Man his favorite MC in the legendary Wu-Tang Clan after the NAACP Image Awards. Moreover, Meth won the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series award for portraying criminal defense attorney Davis MacLean in Power Book II: Ghost. Of course, it’s no surprise that series head honcho Fif would shout out his collaborator, but the Long Island native is still one of the most respected Wu members. Also, the ceremony nominated him for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture for appearing in the hip-hop musical drama On The Come Up.

“@methodmanofficial is no joke,” 50 wrote via Instagram. “He was always #1 in Wu Tang to me but he has transitioned into something that has to be celebrated” he wrote. “This train won’t stop, shout out to @naacp for recognizing and the ZARS network.” Furthermore, the Queens MC co-created and executive produces the Power universe, which has been a big factor in establishing his TV empire. Afterwards, Method Man (real name Clifford Smith) replied “Boom!!!” in the comments, adding trophy and fire emojis.

50 Congratulates Method Man, His Favorite Wu-Tang Member

Also, Smith celebrated his NAACP Image Award with a post of his own, in which the 51-year-old promoted the next step. “3rd times the charm.. another win for the team.. naacp image award winner.. PowerBook II Season 3 ..March 17.” However, that caption is wrong: he had the charm from the start. Not only did he win in this category this year, but it’s his third year winning it in a row. Still, other rappers and artists won debut prizes at the ceremony.

For example, Kid Cudi and his team from Entergalactic won Outstanding Writing in a Television Movie or Special. “This is WILD! Thank u so much to the @naacpimageaward for the love!!!” the artist tweeted. “Entergalactic was a huge passion project of mine, and its a beautiful thing gettin recognized for the hardwork we put into it. I am so so happy that an idea I had ended up being a really epic one.” With so many years of experience under his belt, it’s likely that Meth also has that sense of hard effort, gratitude, and pride in his work. Still, regardless of any of that, the question remains… who is your favorite Wu-Tang member? Let us know in the comments and stick around on HNHH for the latest on Method Man and 50 Cent.

50 Cent’s Champagne Wins Big At Houston Wine Competition

Some rappers just seem to be able to do it all, don’t they? 50 Cent will showcase his Le Chemin du Roi Brut champagne during the 2023 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Moreover, the bottle won in the Rodeo Uncorked! International Wine Competition and became the Grand Champion Best of Show bottle. Also, the Queens rapper’s wine will be available at the Champion Wine Garden during the celebrations, from February 28 through March 19. Furthermore, this RodeoHouston event features live music, bull riding, promotion of agriculture in many different disciplines, and sporting events.

Still, Curtis Jackson’s victory seems all the more hard-fought when you look at the competition. In fact, all winning wines in the face-off will also be at the wine garden, located at Carruth Plaza between NRG Stadium and the Astrodome. 50 won the big prize against 3,071 other entries from 18 countries. If you’re interested in his winning champagne, it retails at shops like Spec’s Wine and Spirits for around $142. Also, Le Chemin won Reserve Grand Champions honors in 2021. “Almost made me faint,” Fif remarked when he heard the news.

50 Cent Shows Houston A Thing Or Two About Good Wine

Of course, this new accolade is one of many extracurricular achievements from one of the best gangster rappers ever. For example, the 47-year-old recently opened up about his new broadcast deal with Fox. This follows his incredibly successful run with Starz, through which Power and BMF established him as a TV mogul. “He is the rare multi-hyphenate with a deft hand at storytelling, no matter the format or medium,” expressed Fox Entertainment president Michael Thorn. “We’re looking forward to developing new and exciting series for Fox with him and his team.”

For his part, 50 said that the non-exclusive nature of his Fox deal allows him to work with anyone. Naturally, this bodes well for the business titan’s big plans moving forward. Still, don’t think that he’s left music alone, as he’ll appear on Nas and Hit-Boy’s King’s Disease IV and has an album on the way. Whether its his television empire or enduring rap legacy, stick around on HNHH for the latest on 50 Cent.

50 Cent Says Future Is “Way Bigger” Than Jay-Z In The Streets

50 Cent just said that Future is “way bigger” in the streets than Jay-Z, as hard as they may be for some to believe. However, it’s not like the talent gaps between the two are all that big nowadays. After all, they both have over a decade of experience in the game, and are incredibly influential in their own right. Still, 50 addressed the comparison (that Future himself made initially) in a recent interview with MSNBC. Overall, 50 maintained that although Jay-Z dominates commercially thanks to his legacy, the Southern pioneer has a lot of treasures to unearth.

“Yeah, yes,” the Queens MC responded to the interviewer’s prompt that Hendrix is bigger than Hov in the streets. “Way bigger. Like, there’s consistent music from him that didn’t chart that [are] huge records that people love and appreciate. Later, it may not have the same things to hold onto that you have at points.” On that last comment, it’s unclear whether he compared the two discographies or made a statement on longevity. Regardless, the “In Da Club” rapper’s point also reflects what kind of music people want to listen to now. At the end of the day, Jay is a legend, but many believe Future’s still in his prime. What’s more is that many consider him a legend already, especially due to his influence this past decade.

However, the self-proclaimed King of New York doesn’t exactly blow out the Atlanta trap icon’s numbers. In fact, it’s a pretty close race, considering Future’s wealth of Billboard Hot 100 hits across his catalog. Even if old heads might flare up in anger at 50’s comments, it’s a very specific and circumstantial question. Beyond that, what’s wrong with bumping “HOLY GHOST” these days instead of “Holy Grail”?

Regardless, it’s quite an interesting conversation, especially coming from a legend of the genre in his own right. In the same interview, Fif spoke on his early career and why the youth fell in love with his artistry. “The stuff that they see that I’ve learned, it kinda kept me out of trouble at points. The stuff I was saying in the music in the very beginning, I was crazy to tell you the truth, Ari. I was absolutely crazy at that point. Kids fell absolutely in love with me and they were in love with the wrong part of me.

“The part that won’t actually continue to be successful,” he continued. “The part that people won’t continue to be something that people celebrate. They have to turn into something bigger and better as they go with the new information and new opportunities that come because they’re really street.” However you may feel about Future and Jay-Z’s comparison, return to HNHH for the latest on them and 50 Cent.

Eminem Responds To 50 Cent’s “Get Rich Or Die Tryin’” 20th Anniversary

Eminem recently shouted out 50 Cent for his classic Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ celebrating its 20th anniversary. As hip-hop history documents, Marshall Mathers played an instrumental role in the Queens rappers’ career. Since their first collaborations around the start of the 2000s, the two kept a prominent friendship and rapport. As Fif celebrated his career longevity with this occasion, Em took to Twitter to give his own shoutout. Moreover, he responded to a Shady Records tweet commemorating the release. “‘Y’all know what time it is, soon as 50 signs on this dot,’” Em wrote, referencing his verse on the album cut “Patiently Waiting.” “20 years!!!??? @50cent.”

Of course, 50’s reciprocated much of the love and support that the Detroit legend gave him. Recently he called him, Em, and Dr. Dre the “three-headed monster” of hip-hop. Furthermore, he made the assessment in a post where he featured an interview clip of the three around Get Rich‘s release. “When you have a team like this it’s hard to lose,” the 47-year-old captioned his post. “I’m so blessed to have worked with the best ever. you can re-write a book, you can re -write a song but you can’t re-write history. The 3 headed monster EM, DRE and 50cent. Boom.”

Moreover, Dre spoke glowingly of the album in that interview clip. “50’s album, in my opinion, is going to compete with all the classic hip-hop records that have come out over the last 10 years — Illmatic, The Chronic, Ready to Die, The Marshall Mathers LP — it’s right up there,” the legendary producer stated. “And that’s no bulls**t … It’s hot!.” The West Coast rap pioneer produced many tracks on Get Rich including “In Da Club,” “If I Can’t,” and “Back Down.” Also, Eminem gave an additional guest performance on the song “Don’t Push Me.”

Meanwhile, 50 fans wordlwide continue to uphold Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ as a classic, and it continues to influence so many. Still, what are some of your favorite tracks off of 50’s classic album? Whatever the case, let us know in the comments down below. Also, as always, check back in with HNHH for the latest in hip-hop history and the legends of the game.
