Coi Leray says she thinks music labels are running fan pages that instigate drama between female hip-hop artists on social media. She explained on Twitter that she can’t understand why else so many artists would be feuding, despite not even being from the same region. Leray also asked whether it’s the same for artists in other genres.
“Idk if you ask me it seem like these labels are behind the female controversy. They see it helps push the music, I wouldn’t be surprised if they the ones behind the fan pages,” she wrote in one post. “Most of these female rappers not even from the same places !!!! Not from the same hoods….why are we beefing?” From there, Leray asked: “Do female pop stars have just as much beef as the female rappers?” When one fan put forth the idea of Katy Perry and Lady Gaga beefing, Leray responded: “I can’t. I just can’t.”
Despite the innumerable amount of feuds going on in hip-hop right now, Leray recently told Forbes that she’s focused on becoming the best version of herself she can be. “I have great intentions,” she told the outlet in March. “And I know that at the end of the day, if I just pushed myself to focus on becoming a better me whether it’s in my tone, my delivery, my attitude, my routine of waking up in the morning, waking up earlier, going to church every Sunday, writing in my journal, that’s how I got to this place now.”
Coi Leray Speaks On Female Rap Beefs
The following day on Twitter, Leray also teased the direction of her next song. “This next song im releasing is about a girl named Coi who let liquor and weed heal her traumas. Shot after shot,” she wrote. “She just going on and on and on .. can’t wait till you hear it.” Leray also dropped a new single, “Can’t Come Back,” on Friday. Be on the lookout for further updates on Coi Leray on HotNewHipHop.
As of late, there’s been more than enough rap beef going on to keep hip-hop fans occupied. Drake’s currently wrapped up in what’s been dubbed a “20-v-1” battle against the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Future, Metro, Boomin, Rick Ross, and more. Kanye West even recently hopped on the Drizzy hate train, unveiling his remix of “Like That” over the weekend.
The feud has prompted a tremendous amount of speculation about what could be the real driving force behind it. According to Gillie Da Kid, however, the answer is pretty simple. Earlier this week, the Philly-born artist took to social media to weigh in. He says that almost always, rap beef is started over a woman.
“Y’all realize in this rap beef that’s going on, right, just like a lot of rap beefs, most of it be about a b*tch, because the reality of it is all these n***as is super rich,” he explains in a clip. “All these n***as money is longer than mothaf*ckin’ Broad Street, all these n***as can paint mothaf*ckin’ 7th Ave[nue] with 100s, so it ain’t nothing to beef about other than a b*tch.”
Gillie continued, “Rap n***as is some of the most sensitive n***as in the country when it come to b*tches, because they get to a city and they meet a b*tch, and the b*tch be a little chicken tender, and they start f*ckin’ with the b*tch and they feel like this b*tch is his. No, this is not your b*tch, bro — this b*tch waiting for [Drake] to come to town next week; this b*tch is waiting on Future two weeks from now; this b*tch is waiting on Moneybagg Yo to get here. This not your b*tch, man.” What do you think of Gillie Da Kid claiming that women are almost always the cause of rap beef? Do you think he’s on to something or not? Aside from music, something that almost always manages to grab fans’ attention is, of course, drama, especially hip-hop beefs. When artists clash, their supporters typically follow suit, only causing things to heat up. With the rise of social media, fans often get a front-row seat to their favorite performers’ beef, resulting in rumors, speculation, and more.
2023 has been no exception, with countless hip-hop figures putting their drama on full display. The year’s been jam-packed with sneak disses, messy social media posts, shady bars, and more. Check out a list of some of the most notable hip-hop beefs of 2023 below.
Drake Vs. Joe Budden
When Drake dropped his eagerly-anticipated LP For All The Dogs this year, Joe Budden was less than impressed. He weighed in on his podcast, advising Drake to stop hanging around people so much younger than him. He further claimed to have missed when Drake “was rapping for the rappers.” Budden did note that Drake is something of a “golden child” in the hip-hop world, and will continue to see success no matter what. Drake fired back hard regardless.
He responded to Budden with a lengthy Instagram roast, claiming that he’s just jealous of his career. Essentially, Drake accused him of only criticizing his work because his own path as a rapper didn’t pan out. This got pretty ugly with subliminal social media shade, friends jumping in the mix, and more. It’s also speculated that Budden’s critique is what inspired Drake to drop Scary Hours 3. It looks like this beef, at least, had a silver lining.
Chrisean Rock and Blueface welcomed their first child together, Chrisean Jr., in September. The two of them went their separate ways in the months leading up to his birth, with Blueface deciding to instead focus his attention on the mother of his first two children, Jaidyn Alexis. Blueface had a lot to say about Chrisean’s parenting skills when their son arrived, however, taking aim at the new mother on social media.
He and Jaidyn have since gotten engaged, and Blueface takes every opportunity to remind his followers that she’s a “star.” Chrisean, on the other hand, insists that their romance is nothing but an act to make her jealous. This is a notably messy beef, which includes allegations of cheating, child neglect, and even pedophilia. Fans have held out hope throughout the year that the duo would find a way to work out their famously tumultuous relationship for the sake of their son, but have yet to see them return to civility.
DJ Akademiks Vs. Saucy Santana
This year, DJ Akademiks accused City Girls’ Yung Miami of perpetuating homophobia by calling him a gay slur amid their feud. He claimed that her use of the term was disrespectful to her gay friends, name-dropping none other than Saucy Santana. Saucy Santana made it clear that he was on Yung Miami’s side, slamming the personality for dragging him into things. From there, the two of them traded some jabs on social media. Saucy Santana eventually threatened to “beat” and sexually assault DJ Akademiks.
Ak responded with an emotional, and viral, livestream. He claimed that he couldn’t fully unleash on Saucy Santana the way he wanted to out of fear of getting canceled. This prompted a lot of chatter online, with some social media users highlighting noting how Ak’s never been afraid to take aim at Black women. Saucy Santana’s since dropped a diss track about DJ Akademiks, “Meet Me In Da Skreets,” which boasts a similar sentiment.
Gunna was released from prison in December of last year, following a major RICO indictment. It saw the arrest of over 25 alleged YSL members, including Young Thug. He took a plea deal on the day of his release, prompting countless peers and fans to speculate that he betrayed his co-defendants by providing information to authorities. Gunna has vehemently denied this, but regardless, the rumors remain. Fans continue to call for Young Thug’s release, as he sits behind bars awaiting trial.
Gunna seemingly addressed the snitching allegations on his album A Gift & A Curse, which he dropped in June. Once again, he denied having turned his back on his co-defendants. “Know you hearin’ the lies that your lil’ brother might fold (Gunna Wunna) / Yeah, I had copped out, but don’t let ’em say I told,” he rhymes on “I Was Just Thinking.” The project was fairly well-received and managed to quiet at least some of the speculation. Nonetheless, in a genre where loyalty means everything, the debacle has left a considerable and lasting mark on Gunna’s reputation.
Coi Leray Vs. Latto
Latto’s hit track “Put It On Da Floor” quickly became one of the songs of the summer, gaining even more attention when Cardi B hopped on a remix. One of her fellow female MCs, however, took issue with a few of the song’s lyrics. “Smokin’ on that gas, blunt big as Coi Leray / B*tches like to run they mouth, but I’m the type to run a fade,” Latto rhymes in the second verse. Coi made it clear that she took the bar as a dig at her body. In response, she fired off a series of Tweets, calling Latto out. Latto later told her crowd at Coachella that she has nothing but “love” for Coi’s body. Unfortunately, the “Players” performer wasn’t buying it.
Coi Leray seemingly responded on her Blue Moon EP’s lead single, “Isabel Marant.” “Yeah I’m on they a** (Yeah) / Hop up out that couch and roll up Latto out the bag,” she spits on the track. Latto was later featured on a remix of Young Nudy’s “Peaches & Eggplants” with Sexyy Red, and appeared to throw shade at Coi’s dad, Benzino. After the remix dropped, Coi posted some screenshots of a chat she had with her father, Benzino. The Source icon told her that Latto simply “admired” her, advising her not to worry about it. Latto defended the bar in a subsequent livestream, but didn’t say if it was intended as shade to Coi. Social media users, of course, have their suspicions.
Nicki Minaj Vs. Cardi B
Nicki Minaj and Cardi B’s years-long feud hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down. In fact, even their husbands got involved this year. Back in September, Offset and Kenneth Petty traded some jabs on social media. Eventually, Petty landed himself on house arrest for threatening the former Migos member. Nicki later took to social media to shed light on her swatting experience, insinuating that Cardi B was responsible. She further appeared to claim that Cardi was throwing shade her way because “Bongos” was a “flop.” Countless subliminal social media posts followed.
While it’s possible that Nicki and Cardi’s beef could only be a tactic to promote their new projects, many still believe that their animosity is very real. In October, Tasha K even claimed that she previously advised Nicki to squash the beef, telling her the two of them are more similar than they’d like to believe. Tasha K currently owes Cardi upwards of $3.4 million in their defamation case, so it says a lot that even she thinks it’s time that they throw in the towel.
Drake Vs. Bobbi Althoff
Back in June, Bobbi Althoff of The Really Good Podcast dropped her interview with Funny Marco. The video gained some traction online, even capturing the attention of Drake. According to her, she then decided to slide into Drake’s DMs to ask him for an interview. To her own surprise, he was in. The video that followed went viral, creating opportunities for Althoff to interview Tyga, Lil Yachty, Offset, and more. The video in question, however, was later mysteriously deleted. Internet sleuths also quickly discovered that the two of them had unfollowed each other on Instagram. This prompted speculation that Drake and Althoff had some beef going on behind the scenes.
Neither of them has clarified why the interview was deleted. Althoff did, however, inadvertently clear up some rumors that they were romantically involved. She told Dave Portnoy “off the record” that the rumors were false. He then discussed it on his podcast, going against her wishes. Teasers for the podcast episode were also cut in a way that insinuated there may have been a romance between Althoff and Drake. This prompted her to share screenshots of the actual conversation on social media. While Althoff’s become somewhat of a controversial figure herself, her interview and rumored “beef” with the Toronto hitmaker continue to be what most people associate her with.
Keke Palmer Fans Vs. Darius Jackson
Back in July, Keke Palmer attended an Usher concert, and appeared to have the time of her life. The father of her son Leodis, however, quickly made it clear that he wasn’t a fan of her outfit choice. He sounded off on Twitter, seemingly shaming her for it. This resulted in quite a bit of backlash for the fitness trainer, with countless Keke Palmer fans going after him. Instead of apologizing, he doubled down, insisting that he was within his rights to criticize her attire. Neither of them directly addressed their relationship status in the months following, but it was speculated that they had gone their separate ways after Palmer appeared in Usher’s “Boyfriend” music video.
Things took a serious turn in November of this year, when Palmer filed for a restraining order against Jackson. She additionally filed for sole physical and legal custody of Leodis. Her filing came with a long list of abuse allegations against the 30-year-old. This, understandably, prompted even more outrage from Palmer’s fanbase. Nowadays, Palmer appears to be back to living her best life while navigating the difficult circumstances.
Boosie Badazz Vs. Yung Bleu
This year, Boosie Badazz took aim at Yung Bleu over a dispute surrounding the young rapper’s Empire Records contract. According to the Louisiana-born MC, Yung Bleu signed the contract without his permission, alleging that his own brother forged his signature. The dispute has been around for a few years now, however, Boosie took things to a whole new level this year, making it clear that he wants the money that he feels he’s owed, and won’t back down.
Yung Bleu’s made quite a few headlines over the year for domestic violence allegations, a cheating scandal, and more. Boosie’s taken every opportunity to weigh in, reminding the Alabama native of his alleged debt. He’s also thrown some jabs at Empire Records CEO Ghazi Shami, accusing him of being a “snake” for going through with the deal. Yung Bleu doesn’t seem keen on paying Boosie back, but he did challenge the 41-year-old to a boxing match back in September.
Sexyy Red & Sukihana Vs. Khia
In October, Khia went on a rant about being compared to current artists like Sexyy Red and Sukihana, claiming that they’re nothing alike. Known for her hit “My Neck, My Back,” Khia said that those drawing comparisons have got it all wrong, insisting that her music sends an entirely different message to that of the aforementioned MC’s. While still notably raunchy, Khia claimed that her songs work to empower women, whereas Sexyy Red and Sukihana’s work is demeaning.
Sexyy Red was quick to fire back, however, calling Khia a “hater” and accusing her of being “washed up.” Sukihana followed suit, threatening to “knock Khia tf out.” Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like fans will see any resolution to this beef, though countless commenters and peers have come to the “Hood Rats” performers’ defense. In general, many think there’s been enough Sexyy Red slander online since she rose to fame with “Pound Town,” and just felt as though Khia’s argument was tired.

Pusha T says that artists who have dissed him over the years have done so out of desperation. He discussed his various feuds throughout his career with GQ during a new interview with the outlet. The piece comes following Pusha’s recent back-and-forth with Jim Jones.
“You have to look at who’s the talker,” Pusha T said while discussing the recent shots fired his way. “When you look at who’s the talker and you look at what they’ve done and who they are and what they offer to you, it’s funny. I’ve been in this game for a minute, and I’ve watched the game, and I’ve watched people at their highs and at their lows. And, mind you, most people are chasing things I’ve never chased in hip-hop.”
Pusha continued: “I’ve never chased hit records. I’ve never chased anything but having incredible albums. So I’m not even surprised at the way people speak about me or whatever the case may be right now. It’s like I’m watching these guys panic. You know what I’m saying? They’re all panicking and then they’re trying to figure out, ‘Wait a minute, how is this guy turning the corner and I’m not?’”
Elsewhere in the interview, Pusha T discussed his plans for new music and even admitted that he doesn’t feel his solo work has lived up to the albums he put out as a part of Clipse. He and No Malice premiered an unreleased collaboration, earlier this year, that featured a response to Jim Jones, after the Dipset rapper criticized his impact on hip-hop. Pusha also discussed being on tour in Europe, getting in the studio with No Malice, and more. Be on the lookout for updates on new music from Pusha T on HotNewHipHop.
A few years ago, no one probably would have guessed that Travis Scott would be shading Timothée Chalamet on a new album (Utopia, which contains an A-list set of guests), but here we are. It sure looks like Scott took a swing at the Dune star who also happens to be the star of the upcoming Wonka. That film happens to also include Hugh Grant as an Oompa Loompa, but even more importantly for our purposes at this moment, Scott’s Utopia includes a track, “Meltdown,” which contains some fairly unmistakeable shade towards Mr. Chalamet, who happens to be dating Scott’s ex, Kylie Jenner.
Reports of that new coupledom surfaced in April, and Page Six recently reported that Kylie stays over at Chalamet’s home “upwards of six days a week” and has even been spotted there without makeup, so you know it’s somewhat serious. TMZ followed the candy trail here to summarize exactly how obvious Scott’s Wonka-filled shade sounds:
Travis Scott is treating Kylie Jenner’s new boyfriend, Timothée Chalamet, like an oompa loompa on his new album “Utopia” … and wants his bm to know she’ll never find another beau more lit than him!!!
On the appropriately titled track, “Meltdown,” Travis blows his tops going at Timothée while dissing his upcoming role as the King of Candy with the lyrics, “Chocolate AP and chocolate the Vs got the/ Willy Wonka factory (Vs)/ Burn an athlete like it’s calories find another flame hot as me, bitch!!!”
E! Online drew a similar conclusion, and some on Twitter have taken notice with one user remarking, “[N]ever in my life would I’ve thought to witness travis scott dissing timothee chalamet.” That sums things up, but hey, at least Scott will never have to be jealous of Chalamet’s own rapping skills.
DJ Akademiks says that it’s advantageous for rappers to start beef with him. He discussed the idea while appearing on The Joe Budden Podcast, earlier this week.
“I think, always in hip-hop, I’m still the person where if you go against, you’ll have a lot of people who support you. ‘Cause people claim ideologically they stand against what I’m for,” he explained.
From there, Ish chimed in with a lengthy explanation as to why rappers beef with Akademiks. “That’s strategically smart. That’s number one,” he began. “Now we gonna break it down, right? If I go beef with Akademiks, one, I’m never going to face any street repercussions. Where if I go beef with some of these other people, it’s a possibility that something could happen to me outside. Nobody wants that. We pick and choose who we shoot at in all of these media forms. N****s know, don’t go shooting at them n****s from Atlanta ’cause they really shoot guns. N****s know, don’t go shooting at these n****s from Chicago ’cause they really shoot guns.”
He continued: “N****s not gonna say too much shit about 50 Cent ’cause you might have to see him in the mall. When we go shoot at Akademiks, we know it ain’t gonna be no repercussions physically outside. We also know he has a massive following and the likelihood that he gonna shoot back is probable.”
Fans trolled Akademiks in response when the clip made its way to Instagram. One wrote: “Ak’s face says it all….bro called him a sucka to his face,” while another commented: “Ish called the n***a soft in the most respectful way possible.” Another user defended Akademiks: “For everybody saying “damn Ish called Ak soft to his face” Ak has openly said he’s not outside so there’s that & the biggest point Ish was making was rappers try to beef with Ak to boost their numbers…some artists need Ak. Don’t miss the bigger point to highlight some small shit.” Check out the full clip above.
Beef in hip-hop can often be an incredibly cost-efficient marketing tool, depending on the stakes involved. For the most part, a few comments on Twitter or Instagram can galvanize the timeline into a frenzy, especially when its legendary rap figures are at the center of the controversy. While Rick Ross hasn’t necessarily traded bars with any of his foes recently, he’s added to his list of beefs after trading shots with DJ Envy. Last weekend, the two began trading shots over their competing car shows.
Things escalated rapidly for a few days. What began as slight jabs on social media transformed into a war of words where DJ Envy would dress up as a correctional officer to mock Ross’ previous career path. In response, Rozay turned up the hostility by mentioning The Breakfast Club host’s wife – an evident sore spot, as we’ve seen with Desus & Mero.
Fortunately, there’s always room for forgiveness (at least, we hope). In his autobiography, Hurricanes, he revealed tension between him and DJ Khaled that began when he put up $1,000 for a Terror Squad chain belonging to the DJ. His reason? “Dissing Khaled and everybody else was my way of trying to get something going,” Ross said. Of course, that feud didn’t last long; these days, they comically debate the origins of almond milk.
In the wake of Ross’ latest feud with DJ Envy, we decided to dive into some of Rick Ross’ biggest beefs that rattled the rap world. Although many of his feuds deserve to be unpacked by themselves, we’re briefly breaking down Ross’s issues with other figures in pop culture.
Birdman
Thanks to Rick Ross, “idols become rivals” became cemented in hip-hop jargon due to his issues with Birdman. Now, there were a few moments that led to their feud. For starters, Drake and Meek Mill’s beef blew up, leading to the infamous bars in 2015’s “Color Money,” where Ross raps, “I got more money than that pussy that you’re signed to.” Birdman ultimately brushed it off, feigning ignorance of Ross’ motives before the MMG boss came out the gates swinging with “Idols Become Rivals,” where he finally addressed the root of their issues. It was not only Birdman’s dealings with Lil Wayne but also his friend DJ Khaled during his Cash Money stint that left a bad taste in Ross’ mouth. Ultimately, the issues appear to be water under the bridge, as neither Birdman nor Rick Ross has addressed the matter further.
“Freeway” Ricky Ross
Rick “Freeway” Ross, the reformed drug kingpin, sued the Miami rapper Rick Ross for using his name without permission. In a $10M filing, Freeway accused Ross of copyright infringement for using his moniker as a rap name. Although Rick Ross seemingly denied knowing about the notorious drug trafficker, the reference was undoubtedly evident, especially for a rapper who continues to namedrop drug lords as a benchmark of wealth. Ultimately, a judge ruled in the rapper’s favor.
50 Cent
The long-standing issues between Rick Ross and 50 Cent stand among the pettiest of beefs in recent rap history. Apparently, 50 Cent looked at Rick Ross the wrong way at an event, although Fif denied ever seeing the Miami rapper. However, things only worsened when Ross released “Mafia Music,” where he dissed 50 Cent. In response, 50 unloaded “Officer Ricky (Go Head, Try Me).”
For over a decade, the two continued to throw shots at each other – through social media and diss tracks – while dragging other affiliates into the issue. As 50 stated on “Warning Shot,” “I’mma f*ck your life up for fun,” vowing to use his resources to make Ross’ life miserable. He followed through on the promise once he dragged the mother of Ross’ child into the equation, who confirmed Ross’ past as a correctional officer. In addition, 50 Cent also began to aim at DJ Khaled while members of G-Unit, namely Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo, piled on. Eventually, Meek became involved when he defended Ross on 4/4 EP. Rick Ross and 50 Cent still haven’t resolved their issues, nor will they ever. Both have seemingly made peace with the idea of taking this one to the grave.
Jeezy
What began as a shout-out to America’s biggest kingpin became one of the most explosive beefs in Rick Ross’ career. Rick Ross hit single “BMF” appeared on the Albert Anastasia EP before landing on Teflon Don. However, the song’s success seemingly spurred tension between the two parties. When Jeezy released his remix of the record – including a cameo from Big Meech himself – fans dug deeper into the line, “How you blowin’ money fast, you don’t know the crew? Oh, you part of the fam, sh*t I never knew.” Although Jeezy and Ross denied issues, things began to bubble following several subliminal shots. Ross released “The Summer’s Mine,” containing what seemed to be a slight jab at Jeezy. However, the ATL rapper later returned fire in an interview shot in the streets of Miami.
Despite being signed to the same label (Def Jam), it seemed that no industry executive had the pull to put their issues to rest. The two rappers ran into each other at the BET Awards in 2012, where their crews got into a physical fight. Rumor has it that G-Unit was also involved in the melee.
Eventually, the two rappers put their differences aside and joined forces on 2014’s “War Ready,” ending their long-standing issues. Ironically, Rick Ross, who received a few shots from then CTE-signee Freddie Gibbs at the time, recently said that he wanted to help the Atlanta rapper and the Gary, IN MC patch things up with one another.
Gillie Da King
In recent years, Rick Ross has found more value in trolling his adversaries online than on wax. Such as the case of DJ Envy, Rick Ross found himself trading barbs with Gillie Da King. Ross called Gillie a “fraud” following the podcast host’s run-in with his former adversary, Lil Wayne, at Jackson State University.
During Southside’s interview on Million Dollaz Worth Of Game, Gillie slammed older rappers who resort to social media antics to regain their footing in the culture. However, Gillie specifically began mentioning Ross’ collection of cows before resorting to the correctional officer jabs. In response, Ross said he spends more monthly money on his cows than Gillie does on his family. Eventually, Ross joked about joining the podcast circuit as a direct competitor to Million Dollaz Worth Of Game. Gillie then suggested Rozay call his podcast the “Mickey Mouse Show.” Sure, it lacks originality, but it seemingly silenced their online beef.
Tory Lanez
While some of Rick Ross’ beefs have been nothing short of petty, his tirade against Tory Lanez appeared to come from a good place. A day after a Kentucky jury declined to charge the officers involved in Breonna Taylor’s murder, Tory Lanez released Daystar. This album attempted to clear his name from allegations surrounding Megan Thee Stallion’s shooting. “Tory Lanez, poor decision brother,” Ross said. “Dropping that project… Just outta respect for Breonna Taylor, bruh, we gotta respect these sisters. That ain’t how you address the accusations you are facing. That was a poor choice, homie. You ain’t getting no money with that shit.”
While Tory claimed that Ross wasn’t even attending the protests for Breonna Taylor in Miami, the MMG Boss refuted that the Canadian rapper only showed his support because the rally passed by his home. Following a few more shots between the two, Ross offered a SmartCar to Tory Lanez – an apparent jab at the I Told You rapper’s height. Eventually, the two linked up and squashed their beef while Ross began promoting his annual car show at the Promised Land.
As the beef continued to sizzle online, Hit-Boy recently appeared on Homegrown Radio where he broke down exactly why Hitmaka’s assessment of his career is dead wrong. It’s not only about the radio hits but everything he’s accomplished within the past decade. As an artist who worked alongside GOATs, he explained that his cultural impact goes well beyond radio-friendly jingles.
Hit-Boy Pulls Out His Resumé On Hitmaka
Hit-Boy didn’t necessarily need to provide receipts but he insisted that Hitmaka hasn’t actually seen the same type of success. He cited his collaborations with Benny The Butcher as one of the biggest commercial successes for Griselda, along with a number of other accolades he’s gained in his career. “… Helped Nas win his first Grammy. I got Jay-Z most streamed song, I produced Nipsey’s biggest song. Like, n***as be trying to disrespect,” he said, explaining that he’s been an integral part of the culture for the past 10 days.
However, Hit-Boy reiterated his previous claims that Hitmaka isn’t actually a producer. He said that the artist formerly known as Yung Berg should actually be an A&R. “The conversation over. He don’t make beats, bro. Let’s start there,” he said. “I’m really crafting – handcrafting – new styles, coming out with different bounces, different drum patterns, different type of ways of thinking about the music. This man don’t even make the beat and he got the nerve to speak on me. That’s like, you really on pills, for real. You crazy. He’s an A&R, bro.” No word from Hitmaka just yet but we can’t imagine that he’ll be entirely happy with what Hit-Boy had to say about his production skills. Check out Hit’s comments above.
