Drake’s Lollapalooza Argentina Set Cut Short, Fans Upset

The 6 God might be going on a massive tour soon, but if his latest sets are anything to go by, fans might be disappointed. Drake caught a lot of heat on social media for cutting his Lollapalooza Argentina set short and falling prey to a few other logistical issues. Fans claim that his performance was only about 40 minutes long, which differs from the typical hour and a half that a headliner would enjoy. Not only that, but the Canadian star allegedly barred his performance from being live-streamed just minutes before he arrived late to his show.

Moreover, this news is all the more concerning for Drake fans in the States, because it potentially indicates how his upcoming U.S. shows with 21 Savage will be. People are already outraged at the insanely inflated ticket prices for these shows. In fact, they added additional dates to accommodate demand, bringing the date count from 29 to 43. Still, it hasn’t made $1,000+ tickets any easier to swallow. However, despite all the outrage and disappointment with Drizzy’s Lolla Argentina performance, many of these factors aren’t necessarily his fault.

Translation: “Drake’s show should’ve lasted an hour and 30 minutes in Lollapalooza Argentina, but the artist unexpectedly ended it early. In total, he played for less than an hour.”

Given the sheer size and scope of the festival, it’s natural that maybe there were some behind the scenes issues that we don’t know about that Drake had to handle in the moment. What’s curious is that it looks like event organizers were also blindsided by Drake’s decision to not allow a set livestream. Furthermore, they replaced footage of his performance on their stream with a message for fans. “Drake decided, minutes before going on stage, to not permit the live transmission of his show, despite the formal agreement reached earlier,” the message read. “We regret the artist’s decision.”

Meanwhile, Drake also performed at Lollapalooza Chile this weekend, which seems to have gone by without much of a hiccup. At least on Twitter, though, people are also complaining about a short set time. However, many people appreciated the set list itself, with many hits across his catalog, but that seems like a given for Drake. One can only wonder as to why he dismissed his sets this time around. Michael B. Jordan Reminds Overzealous Fan To “Breathe” During Chaotic Event Meeting

Being famous certainly isn’t easy – Michael B. Jordan has been reminded of that consistently throughout the Creed III press tour. Prior to his directorial debut’s theatre release on Friday (March 3), the California-born actor was spending plenty of time in interviews and on the red carpet posing for photos. Additionally, his NSFW Calvin Klein photoshoot surfaced online last week, drawing even more attention his way as his body was on full display in the brand’s underwear.

The most recent MBJ moment to cause a stir online was shared by @theshaderoom on Instagram earlier this weekend. In a clip, the 36-year-old addresses an obviously overzealous fan begging him to take a selfie, remaining as calm as possible under what was clearly a tense situation. Thankfully, security was there to place themselves between Jordan and the eager follower, giving him a barrier to allow communication.

“Talk to me. I’m a person. I’m a person,” the Black Panther star tells them. “Can I take a selfie with you? Can I take a selfie with you?” the obviously enthused fan asks Jordan. “I got you. I’m gonna take a selfie with you,” he then promises, noting that he’s “not going nowhere” so there’s really no need to get so worked up. As they continue to struggle to find their composure, he urges them “Breathe, breathe.”

At this point, the fan hits the entertainer with another inquiry about taking a photo together. “I said yes!” he responds, agitation becoming evident in his tone. “I’m gonna take a selfie with you. I’m gonna sign the photos. Just calm down.” It remains unclear exactly what happens after the cameras stopped recording, and Jordan has yet to address the moment himself on social media. In the comments, many are pointing out that he’s been consistently stressed out with similar situations over the past few weeks.

That’s what’s happening right now on Twitter, as DJ Khaled is trending for a viral tweet calling him fat. Of course, it can be hard to trace original posts on the Internet, but people seem to be focusing on one tweet in particular. “Drake is retiring, Migos broken, DJ Khaled is fat, Rap game is in shambles rn,” the tweet read. Also, its author included a screenshot of Cillian Murphy holding a gun to his head in the show Peaky Blinders, which is a popular reaction meme right now.

Furthermore, a lot of people are amused at Khaled’s inclusion because, frankly, it’s not necessarily news at this point. While a lot of people took the opportunity to shame DJ Khaled, others recognized how ridiculous the comment is. “Why u gotta pack on dj Khaled like that,” one tweeter expressed. YG Offers To Have Dinner With Fans For $1,000 Before Concerts

YG is offering to have dinner with fans before his upcoming concerts in Santa Ana, California, in exchange for $1,000. The dinner is described as including a five-star, three-course meal as well as an opportunity to take a photo with the rapper. Additionally, there will be an open bar and gentleman’s club waitresses.

“I said I would never come back to the observatory but here I am,” YG captioned a flyer for the concert on Instagram. “BDAY VIBES LIVE CONCERT put that shitt on & come Fuck with me. UPSCALE EVENT!” YG will be turning 33 years old on March 9. Ty Dolla Sign commented flame emojis on the post.

Fans online had mostly positive responses to the offer from YG. “I’m trippin if I pay a rack to have dinner with yg [two face with hand over mouth emoijs],” tweeted one person. Another joked, “[I’m] fashoo trynna see YG in march [weary face emoji] LMFAOO but the dinner date for 1,000 he better lemme eat his ass or sum [rolling eyes, two weary face emojis].” One more fan tweeted: “If I was a huge YG fan, I wouldn’t trip over that at all. For the same price, Chris Brown was reportedly charging fans for a meet and greet with him in 2022. It was during his One of Them Ones Tour with Lil Baby. Brown defended the controversial price at the time on Instagram. “PSA!!! When artists (everyone) do concerts, they all have something called a VIP package. I haven’t done meet and greets in over 7 years…” Brown wrote. “I have the coolest fans on the planet…I appreciate the fuck outta them. These are memories that will last with them forever. Unlike most of these lame-ass artists that won’t make eye contact with the people who made it possible to even have a career. Madonna’s appearance at the 2023 Grammy Awards on Sunday night left many fans online confused. Madonna was present at the ceremony to introduce Kim Petras and Sam Smith. However, many fans on Twitter took note of her face looking different than usual.

“This legit looks like a Madonna impersonator with pics of rhe [sic] real Madonna in the background. She really f–ked up her face,” one person wrote. Another further said, quite cruelly: “Madonna looks good for her age … if her age is 2,700 year old vampire who eats babies and small animals alive.”

As for her introduction of Smith and Petras, Madonna remarked: “Here’s what I’ve learned after four decades in music. If they call you shocking, scandalous, troublesome, problematic, provocative or dangerous, you’re definitely onto something.” Later in the night, Petras became the first openly transgender woman to win a Grammy award. Her collaboration with Sam Smith, “Unholy,” notched them the award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. During her acceptance speech, Petras took the time to thank Madonna for fighting for LGBTQ rights. She also gave a shoutout to the late musician Sophie.

“I just thank all the incredible transgender legends before me, who kicked these doors open for me so I could be here tonight: Sophie, especially, my friend who passed away two years ago, who told me this would happen and always believed in me. Thank you so much for your inspiration, Sophie. I adore you and your inspiration will forever be in my music. Madonna, for fighting for LGBTQ rights, so much. I don’t think I could be here without Madonna,” Petras said on stage.

Madonna’s appearance at the 2023 Grammy Awards comes ahead of her 35-city tour, later this year. Doja Cat’s Paris Fashion Week Style Choices Continue To Entertain Fans

The queen of this season’s Paris Fashion Week? Doja Cat, no question about it! In the past, recording artists like Coi Leray and Cardi B had the privilege of sitting in the front row. This time, though, the Planet Her singer is having her moment in the spotlight.

In her usual fashion, the 27-year-old kicked things off with a dramatic flair at the Schiaparelli couture show. For that, she donned over 30,000 Swarovski crystals all over her body and sat beside Kylie Jenner. The reality star’s animalistic outfit also made headlines.

As Page Six notes, some social media users clowned Doja for not adding false eyelashes to her red ensemble. Ever the comedian, while attending the Viktor & Rolf show, she opted to stick fake eyelashes on her brows. They also appeared on her upper lip, and chin, mimicking facial hair.

That certainly earned a few laughs, but by Wednesday (January 25), the California native was ready to prove that she can still pull off glamorous looks too. For the Valentino Haute Couture runway, she stepped out in a long black trench coat. This was worn over a miniskirt and bra top in the same colour.

Rather than her usual bald head, Doja rocked a long black wig with straight across bangs. The outfit was far more toned down than others we’ve seen her in this week. However, her purse undeniably brings an element of drama to the otherwise neutral look.

The Chris Habana-designed bag is reportedly worth $20,000 and was 3D-printed to match the exact measurements of the “Say So” singer’s own hand. It can be worn as a glove or carried as a purse, and is covered in approximately 1,000 Swarovski crystals. Additionally, you’ll find 3,000 pearls and hand-painted gold fingernails to mimic a manicure.

In the iconic accessory’s hand sits a $179 bottle of Patrón El Alto tequila.

Doja’s stylist and creative director, Brett Alan Nelson, spoke about the outfit in a press release. “I always love some sort of organic gag. Nothing that feels forced but seamless to who Doja is as a person and as an artist,” he explained.

“My girl loves a tequila cocktail, so taking the idea of this couture-level bottle of Patrón El Alto to Paris but making it an accessory that doesn’t leave her side… I reached out to Chris Habana. I told him I wanted something that felt like it was off the Paris runway for couture but I wanted it to have a bit of a surrealist vibe to it.”

Before she got everyone talking with her unique outfits at Paris Fashion Week, last year, Doja Cat kept all eyes on her with some out-of-the-box eyebrow looks.
