AraabMuzik Claims That Fabolous Has Two New Albums On The Way

AraabMuzik is an elusive figure in hip hop. The producer helped shape the sound of New York in the 2010s, thanks to collabs with legends like 50 Cent and Cam’ron. He doesn’t often give interviews, but he made an exception on November 15. AraabMuzik, real name Abraham Orellana, sat down for a chat with podcaster Victor Baez to discuss new music. The producer talked about his own ventures, as well as his creative process. The real bombshell came, however, when he spoke on what Fabolous has cooking up.

Fabolous is another New York legend who worked with AraabMuzik in the 2010s. The two have worked on a number of mixtapes together, including all three entries in Fabolous’ Summertime Shootout series. The last Summertime Shootout, Coldest Summer Ever, dropped in 2019. Fab has been pretty quiet in the intervening years, but AraabMuzik claims the silence is almost over. The producer told Baez that Fab has two projects in the works. One of them will be a solo venture, and the other will be an AraabMuzik collab.

Fabolous Hasn’t Dropped An Album Since 2019

“His project, of course, is dropping,” AraabMuzik explained. “Looking forward to his project and then something we got in the works.” Fabolous has been making guest appearances throughout 2024. He dropped in on Mary J. Blige’s single “Breathing,” as well as the French Montana and Fivio Foreign collab “To the Moon.” Fabolous also contributed a verse to the sprawling Cash Cobain song “Problem.” He was featured alongside a gang of artists, including Big Sean, Flo Milli, Luh Tyler and 6LACK.

As far as solo ventures go, though, fans have been waiting. Fabolous hasn’t dropped an official body of work since the aforementioned Coldest Summer Ever in 2019. Not only has there not been any new solo material since, there hasn’t even been a hint of something new. Seriously, Fabolous’ Wikipedia ends with the rollout for the third Summertime Shootout. AraabMuzik speaking on new material is major, but just as major is the confirmation that Loso is on his way. AraabMuzik, meanwhile, just dropped the collaborative tape Living Proof with Dave East. Fittingly, Fabolous appeared on the song “Buss Down.”

Dave East & AraabMuzik Preview Their Joint Tape With “Buss Down” Featuring Fabolous

Dave East is looking to go out with a braggadocious bang before the end of 2024 and he’s doing so with “BUSS DOWN.” This is a brand-new collaboration with between the gritty New York spitter and longtime producer, araabMUZIK (Jay Electronica, Cardi B, J. Cole & JID, Tory Lanez, and more). But this new duo isn’t just stopping here, though. On November 15, Dave and araab will be dropping off Living Proof, a 15-song tape with features from Benny The Butcher, Giggs, Ransom, Stacy Barthe, and more. One of those other guests includes Fabolous, who is also on this lead single, “BUSS DOWN.”

As we mentioned, it’s a flexing banger all about diamond-encrusted watches, with a hint of drug talk. “Cuzzo got rich off the glass, he sellin’ crystal (Meth) / Dave tatted on your b**** a**, her name was Crystal (Crys’) / We smokin’ in this room, I paid for them, incidental.” Because of these bars, it’s also a bit of a hustler’s anthem too. The beat matches well as it contains lavish string sections and trunk-rattling 808s. When this drops, this will be Dave’s third consecutive tape with another artist of some kind. For now though, spin “BUSS DOWN” with the link below.

Beyonce Once Checked Fabolous Over Old Bar About Solange Knowles

Sometimes, artists don’t even realize how far their words can travel. Fabolous found himself in an unexpected situation when what he thought was a harmless line from his 2010 track “For The Money” comparing Beyonce to her sister Solange came up when Bey pressed him about it later.

“Because if you could have Beyoncé, would you take Solange?” Fabolous rapped on the track, which also featured Nicki Minaj (who recently made her feelings about the Knowles-Carter family known). In a new interview with The Pivot, Fab was asked about that lyric. “I knew people were paying attention. I didn’t know Beyonce was paying attention […] It was like a mixtape freestyle. When she said it, I was like ‘oh, I get it,’ but in my head, I’m like, ‘who played Beyonce this s**t?’”

Fabolous And Beyonce Had A Brief Talk About Old Song Lyrics

Fabolous said the chat with Beyonce made him rethink some punchlines he used, as you never know who’s listening. In a previous recollection of the story on The Breakfast Club, he mentioned that he apologized to Solange in person for the bar. “I’m like, ‘Hey! What’s up?’ And I was like, ‘Yo, I just want you to know I didn’t mean it in any malice, but I do take responsibility for saying that and I apologize.” It is no secret that Beyonce and Solange are each other’s biggest fan. The two both started singing from a young age, though their individual rises to stardom were very different from each other. Beyonce started the group Girl’s Tyme at age 10 with her childhood friends. Girl’s Tyme turned into Destiny’s Child, and when they split, Beyonce jumped straight into a superstar solo career.

After early record label issues that plagued her first two albums (released in 2002 and 2008), Solange found her footing as an artist with the lauded A Seat At The Table, released in 2016. Rolling Stone later ranked it among the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time in the 2020 update to their list. Because of the strength of their relationship, it is not at all a surprise that Beyonce took exception to what Fab thought was a throwaway line. Hopefully, Fab’s story teaches some younger rappers the same lesson he learned.

Mary J. Blige Speaks on Retirement: ‘In a Little While It Will Be Time’

Mary J. Blige to Receive Entertainment Icon Honors at Urban One Honors: Best in Black Event

Mary J. Blige is still considering retirement within this decade. Speaking with Us Weekly, she stated, “When it’s time, it’s time.”

“Sometimes I get fatigued,” MJB said. “I’ve been doing this for thirty-something years. In a little while, it will be time.”

What does retirement look like for The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul? “Retirement looks like traveling the world, going to places I never been before. Relaxing on yachts, in home, and enjoying the fruits of my labor.”

You can hear more from Mary J. Blige below.

Recently, Mary J. Blige dropped a brand new single, “Breathing,” featuring Fabolous.

The single, released through Blige’s own Beautiful Life Productions in partnership with 300 Entertainment, was produced by Shaun “S Dot” Thomas. The song was written by Mary J. Blige, Fabolous, Jocelyn “Jozzy” Donald, PurpleKBeats, and Jay Hawkins and contains samples of “Kick In The Door” by The Notorious B.I.G and “I Put A Spell On You” by Screamin’ Jay Hawkins. Blige was additionally inspired by Nina Simone’s rendition of “I Put a Spell on You.”

“Breathing” is Blige’s second single since the release of Good Morning Gorgeous, her critically acclaimed 15th studio album that received six GRAMMY® nominations at the 65th GRAMMY® Awards, including Album of the Year and Best R&B Album.

Her first single following the album, “Still Believe in Love,” was released in October 2023 and spent 7 weeks at #1 on The Billboard Adult R&B Airplay Chart. This marked her eighth #1 on the chart, cementing her as having the third-most No. 1s among women artists in the chart’s 30-year history.

“Breathing” showcases Blige’s unparalleled vocals and intimate lyricism. It is a song about what she promised: being happy where she is and reveling in it. Again, Blige proves why she was heralded as the “Queen of Hip-Hop Soul.”

Benny the Butcher Releases ‘Buffalo Butch, Vol. 1’ Featuring Fabolous, 38 Spesh, and Drake

Benny the Butcher Releases 'Buffalo Butch, Vol. 1' Featuring Fabolous, 38 Spesh, and Drake

Two weeks after dropping Summertime Butch, Benny returns with Buffalo Butch, Vol. 1, featuring Fabolous, 38 Spesh, and Drake. The Buffalo rapper made it clear that summer wasn’t over until he said so, and now he’s signaling that it’s safe to make plans accordingly.

Buffalo Butch, Vol. 1 is available now on all digital streaming platforms. Alongside the release, Benny also dropped a new visual for “Knightfall” from his Summertime Butch project, continuing to dominate the season with his unmistakable style and presence.

Benny The Butcher Drops Memorable Collabs On “Buffalo Butch, Vol. 1”

Benny the Butcher can spit. He sounds good on pretty much any kind of instrumental. The Griselda star just dropped an album called Summertime Butch. And yes, he managed to pull the ridiculous title off with an emphasis on gritty wordplay and hypnotic production. The trick with Griselda artists is figuring out how to keep their central appeal intact while broadening out. Benny the Butcher figured out a way to do just that on Buffalo Butch, Vol. 1. The answer? Bring in collaborators like Fabolous and Drake to spice things up. To the surprise of no one, the gambit worked.

Buffalo Freestyle,” the long-anticipated collaboration between Benny the Butcher and Drake, lives up to the hype. Both rappers sound immaculate over the contemplative production. Somehow, the beat feels is right in the wheelhouse of both Benny and Drake, despite their otherwise disparate styles. It’s the song that most fans are going to talk about, and rightfully so. The thing is, the other two songs on Buffalo Butch are also great. Fabolous absolutely skates over “Hard Way Freestyle.” The veteran rapper gets in his Soul Tape bag, and it works perfectly when blended with Benny the Butcher’s hard-nosed approach. “Penny and Shaq Freestyle” is the least memorable of the three, but Benny made the competition stiff. This is a great EP.

Mary J Blige Teams Up With Fabolous For A Throwback Style Single, “Breathing”

Mary J Blige possesses a timeless voice and is also a true leader of blending hip-hop and soul together. Additionally, you cannot forget her copious number of hit tracks and successful albums. All of these things got her into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame earlier this year. After notching this feather in her cap, she expressed how much this recognition meant to her. “I’m still trying to process this whole thing. It’s a big deal. I’m just so grateful because I know it didn’t have to be this way, but it is this way, and I give all the credit to God. I don’t even know what else to do. It’s just so humbling,” the performer explained. “I don’t know what to do besides be grateful and thankful”.

However, it seems that Mary J Blige isn’t just okay with this major career milestone. At some point later this year, the New York balladeer is going to release a new album, which also may be her last. She dropped this bombshell on People in late April and while “it’s probably [her] last”, she says she’s been enjoying the process. “I’m actually in the studio right now recording more music, and I’m having fun. I’m having fun no matter what happens”. It looks like one of those “fun” studio sessions produced “Breathing”, a classic Mary J Blige record that also features Fabolous. You can check out the grand and uplifiting single with the music video link below.

Cash Cobain Enlists Big Sean, FloMilli And More On Loaded Single “Problem”

Cash Cobain has been dropping consistently since 2018. The rapper/producer has a much higher profile these days, however. Singles like “Fisherrr” and “Grippy” have blown up in 2024, thanks to collabs with the likes of Ice Spice and J Cole. Cobain’s upcoming album, PLAY CASH COBAIN, is consequently his most anticipated yet. Fans are excited to hear how the rapper/producer pushes his sound forward, but still maintain the fun, experimental vibe that must us fans in the first place. “Problem” is an interesting attempt to reckon with these two goals. The song is a staggering 7:40, making it the longest Cobain song by a mile.

There’s a reason for the length, though. Cash Cobain decided to bring a staggering 12 artists onto the song to make it stand out, and stand out it does. The glitchy, “problem” refrain sung by Laila! serves as the backdrop for a revolving door of guest verses. Big Sean shows up. FloMilli drops by. We also get bars from Don Q, Rob49, Fabolous, 6LACK, and Anycia. Not enough? Don’t worry, there’s more. The song has appearances from YN Jay, Luh Tyler, Kaliii, Lay Bankz, Chow Lee and Flee. We would need a dissertation to discuss everybody’s verses. That being said, Big Sean continues his string of strong features, and Flo brings lots of menace during her sixteen. It gets a little tiring as the song goes on, but such is the nature of posse cuts. Cash Cobain put together an unexpected treat for fans, and we appreciate it.

Let us know what you think of this brand-new track, in the comments section down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. We will continue to keep you informed on all of your favorite artists and their upcoming projects.
