Rappers React To Elon Musk Revoking Blue Twitter Checks

Twitter has been a huge mess for a minute. Ever since Elon Musk took over, the complaints have been nearly non-stop. You can hardly blame those complaining, however. Twitter had established itself as one of the most influential social media outlets ever, and it was extremely functional. Now that Musk is in charge, there seems to be a new issue every day, from dodgy rollouts of new features to straight up trolling. Clearly, Elon Musk was not well-equipped for the kind of position he took on. However, what’s done is done, and his word is the law when it comes to Twitter.

Now, as Musk promised, he has officially removed all blue verification checks from anyone who is not currently paying for them. That includes any and all celebrities and notable figures that may have had them. Kim Kardashian, Drake, and even Beyoncé were all stripped of their verification badges. The only one who seems to have escaped the situation unscathed is LeBron James. Some fine the situation funny, but others think it’s ridiculous. Doja Cat, for example, lost her verification some time ago.

Elon Musk Wants His Bag

When Doja lost her blue check, she did not respond well. “Having a blue tick now means theres a higher chance that you’re a complete loser and that you’re desperate for validation from famous people,” Doja tweeted. Her fans took the chance to troll the singer for losing her check. “Wait ew ur not verified go away normie,” one tweeted. “Since u ain’t famous anymore follow back don’t be shy,” another said. Doja has since pretty much ignored the subject and has gone back to her usual odd tweeting behaviors. She wasn’t the only one who took issue with Elon Musk’s decision, though. Akon also had some choice words.

“Back in the day, Twitter was begging musicians to stay on cause they didn’t have traffic. They came up with a verification process to protect accounts from fakes ones, now @elonmusk is taking that away and forcing us to pay,” Akon’s account tweeted. “FYI, I ain’t paying shit for something we helped build.” However, the singer claimed that his account was hacked. Today, after a sweeping removal of all unpaid blue checks, many rappers have tweeted out their opinions on the matter. What do you think about the outrage? Is it justified or are celebrities just throwing a fit because they no longer feel special? Let us know in the comments!

Elon Musk Claims To Be Paying LeBron James’ Twitter Verification

LeBron James was very vocal about not paying for his verification through Twitter Blue. Which is why it was such a shock to his followers when it seemed that James had purchased the subscription. However, it now seems that someone else may be footing the bill. Twitter CEO Elon Musk claims that he is paying for James’ account to stay verified. According to Musk, he is personally paying for a few accounts on the social network.

Twitter unveiled its Twitter Blue subscription service on Thursday. When it was announced, many well-known celebrities and athletes were against the idea of paying for verification. James was one of the louder voices against making the move. James had tweeted that he would lose his check mark whenever the site finally rolled out the subscription service for all. But now it seems Musk could be paying for some of the most significant followed pages to keep their verification. One has to wonder if the larger accounts are keeping their verification by Musk. Keeping the largest accounts makes good business sense.

LeBron James Not Paying For Twitter Blue

Obviously, James is one of the most well-known athletes in North America. James’ Twitter account has over 52 million followers. There have been worries among followers that unverified accounts could start a swell of fake verified accounts impersonating others. Many believe the move will lead to more fake news and more impersonations that would negatively affect the person being impersonated. However, Twitter is moving forward with the subscription service.

Musk is looking to make more revenue after his purchase of Twitter. Even the Metaverse is following in the footsteps of Musk. It has been rumored that soon Facebook and Instagram will ask users to pay for their verification on their sites. Do you feel that it is a good idea to ask users to pay for their verification on social media sites? Is it fair that those like LeBron James are having their verification paid for? Ice-T And Stephen King Are Together At Last While Calling Shenanigans On Their Twitter Blue Checkmarks

Elon Musk has had a day, alright. First, his SpaceX rocket experienced “rapid unscheduled disassembly”/exploded. Then he finally put his plan in motion to strip legacy verified Twitter users of their Blue checkmarks if they hadn’t signed over $8 per month for Twitter Blue. This means that Taylor Swift and Beyoncé are no longer verified, which is a bizarre thing to behold. The takedown wasn’t universal, though. Stephen King and Ice-T discovered that they have retained Blue checkmarks, but both of them insist that they didn’t pay for the enduring symbol.

Both Ice and King have also been vocal about their intent not to pay up, and on 4/20 (yep), they’re calling shenanigans on whatever is happening behind the Twitter scenes with their accounts.

“My Twitter account says I’ve subscribed to Twitter Blue. I haven’t,” the horror maestro wrote. “My Twitter account says I’ve given a phone number. I haven’t.”

Yep, that’s what his profile says, so King is setting the record straight.

As well, the Law & Order: SVU star and rocker tweeted, “Thanks Stephen. Don’t believe the Hype.”

I smell a crossover coming. Or maybe some Body Count spoken word guest vocals. Something! Also, yep, no one knows what is going on at Twitter.

SpaceX Starship Explodes Right After Launch

In the ongoing mess that is Elon Musk‘s ownership of Twitter, you might have forgotten about his other passion project – space. Based at his Texas complex, SpaceX has given a new lease on life to the American space program. Numerous missions over the last decade or so have not only pushed forwards America’s space agenda but made Musk a vital figure in the industry.

Starship is one of the latest projects to get national attention. Designated as a “super heavy-lift launch vehicle”, it was pitched as the next advancement in low-orbit payload delivery. At 390ft tall, it is the largest launch vehicle ever developed. Furthermore, it had the added advantage of being the first reusable launch vehicle. After years of development, SpaceX announced that Starship would make its first orbital launch this month. The plan was for the vehicle to launch, achieve a low Earth orbit, make a close to a full rotation of the Earth, and then crash off the coast of Hawaii.

Starship Launch Ends After Four Minutes

After adverse conditions scrapped the planned launch on April 17, April 20 was cleared as the new launch date. However, while the initial 7:28am EDT launch was successful, celebrations at Starbase were short-lived. A little over a minute into the flight, six of Starship’s engines had failed. Then Starship failed to separate, causing the trajectory to dramatically change and the vehicle to begin spinning. SpaceX executed Starship’s onboard flight termination just under four minutes after launch. For reference, the flight was meant to be last approximately 1 hour, 17 minutes.

While a SpaceX spokesperson jokingly referred to the event as “a rapid, unscheduled disassembly,” it is a humiliating and public failure for SpaceX. This was not an early-stage test, this was meant to be proof that Starship could successfully achieve orbit. Furthermore, it was not a failure with the vehicle, but the engines SpaceX built. While the company is putting on a brave face, it’s hard to imagine that the disaster does not sting. In a statement, Musk announced that Starship would be relaunched in the coming months. However, this is likely not the 4/20 that Elon was hoping for.

Donald Trump Goes Scorched Earth On Elon Musk For Voting Joe Biden

Donald Trump is a man who is not afraid to lash out when he feels as though he has been threatened or disrespected. The former President of the United States has very little impulse control. Overall, that is part of the reason why he is no longer in office. Moreover, people just felt turned off by his brand of politics. Either way, there is no doubt that Trump is a polarizing figure. However, he is still running for President in 2024, which means we will be hearing a whole lot more from him, in the future.

In fact, Donald Trump is currently finding a new enemy in Elon Musk. Recently, Elon sat down with Tucker Carlson of Fox News to discuss political projects, Twitter, and a whole lot more. During this interview, Elon came out and said that he voted for Joe Biden in 2020. I’m not saying I’m a huge fan of Biden, since that would be inaccurate,” Musk revealed. “I would prefer, frankly, that we put just a normal person as president. A normal person with common sense. Whose values are in the middle of the country.” Of course, this set Trump off, who went scorched earth on Truth Social.

Donald Trump Goes Off On Elon Musk

“I don’t believe Elon Musk voted for Biden, not for a minute!” Donald Trump wrote emphatically. “He told me that he voted for me, but who knows about that, and who cares? Elon is just trying to make friends with the absolutely horrible Biden Administration because of all the government subsidies he gets, and all the permits he needs. His space company, car company, battery company, tunnel company, and even Twitter, which was illegally controlled by the FBI, need government HELP & SUBSIDIES.”

Needless to say, it is clear that Donald Trump is accusing Musk of being some sort of liar. These two fighting is going to create even more polarization amongst the right-wing base. With Trump also going at Ron DeSantis, there is no doubt he is on the attack. Let us know what you think about all of this, in the comments section below.

Elon Musk Reveals When Legacy Verification Will Be Removed

Elon Musk is someone who has been on a crusade to be liked by the masses. However, it hasn’t exactly worked out for him. The average person is tired of his extremely “Reddit” personality that still thinks Doge memes are the pinnacle of humor. Regardless, people like “Catturd” on Twitter find him to be funny, and in the eyes of Elon, that is really all that matters. Although purchasing the social media company has lost him a lot of money, he has been able to do as he pleases with the site.

One of his biggest changes has been in regard to verification. The verification badge has always been about differentiating real people from fakes. Now, however, anybody can buy their way into being verified, which defeats the purpose. Additionally, Elon Musk has made it clear that if you don’t pay up, you will lose your verification, even if you are a notable person with numerous imitators. These people are called “legacy blue checks” and they are on the verge of losing their privileges.

Elon Musk Speaks

Elon Musk had originally stated that blue checks would be removed on April 1st. However, he has subsequently moved up the date. In a tweet, he said, “Final date for removing legacy Blue checks is 4/20.” If you know anything about Elon, you understand that this is extremely predictable and downright eye-roll-worthy. The man is still enjoying 4/20 blaze it MLG montage parodies in 2023, so this is not a shock. Why focus on Twitter stock prices, when you can simply regurgitate memes that were already outdated back in 2013? Truly a pioneer of the tech world and certainly the man who will get us back to outer space.

If you are a famous person and you want to keep that blue check, well you better dig deep for that $8 per month. Otherwise, you will be seen as lesser than accounts called “Canadians Taking Ls” and “Elon’s Biggest Simp.” Let us know what you think about the latest direction of Twitter, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news from around the tech world.

Doja Cat Responds To Losing Blue Tick On Twitter

Doja Cat has lost her blue tick on Twitter. The 27-year-old singer has made headlines recently for her strange behavior on social media. Her online antics have been the subject of scrutiny from all sides, even her fans. Still, Doja seems to remain unbothered, frequently tweeting things that seem altogether nonsensical. However, taking one look at her Twitter feed will tell you all you need to know about why she is acting the way she does. “This illuminati sh*t is so funny to me,” Doja tweeted. “I’m gonna keep doing deliberate weird ass shit just to make those people uncomfortable. I’ve fr found a new outlet of joy.”

The “Illuminati sh*t” that Doja refers to is the seemingly endless deluge of people online that are trying to connect her antics to the Illuminati. The accusations seem to have started when the singer shaved her head. Since then, she has made many appearances in over-the-top makeup looks. Conspiracy theorists think that the Illuminati have something to do with it. Not one to miss out on the fun, Doja took it and ran with it. The singer’s social media outlets have become odder and odder since the conspiracy theories started. It’s clear that she couldn’t care less.

Doja Loses Her Verification

Now, it appears that Twitter has removed Doja’s blue verification tick. It’s unclear why it happened at this point. However, the removal of a blue tick from such a huge celebrity comes as no surprise. Twitter has been a mess for months now. Since Elon Musk took over, many changes have been made. Almost all of them have received some serious backlash. Even Doja herself called Elon Musk out about it. Most recently, Musk has come under fire for the implementation of Twitter Blue. The subscription service allows users to pay for the blue tick, which was previously only available to notable figures.

“Having a blue tick now means theres a higher chance that you’re a complete loser and that you’re desperate for validation from famous people,” Doja tweeted. Many fans trolled her for losing her blue tick, too. “wait ew ur not verified go away normie,” one tweeted. “Since u ain’t famous anymore follow back don’t be shy,” another said. What do you think of Doja losing her blue tick? Is Twitter over? Let us know in the comments below!

Elon Musk Paints over ‘W’ on Twitter Headquarters Sign, now reads ‘Titter’

Elon Musk Paints over W on Twitter Headquarters Sign now reads Titter

Even though April Fools Day was over a week ago, the jokes apparently have not stopped for Elon Musk. Over the weekend, the eccentric Twitter CEO apparently defaced…his own business’s sign.

For reasons completely unclear, Musk had covered up the “w” on the company’s sign outside of its headquarters in San Francisco. While some assumed that it was a routine maintenance or repair issue, it appeared that Musk had done it….just because.

However, while some fans thought that the stunt was funny, the building’s landlord was apparently not having it, stating that the sign could not be altered from its previously-approved design.

Apparently Musk (or one of his staff) may have found a loophole in the contract that allowed them to paint the “w” the background color of the sign (white). While some people were unsure whether the painting was the work of vandalism, Musk proudly took credit on Sunday on (where else?) Twitter, showing off the new sign.

No word if the social media platform will officially be changing its name any time soon.

Elon Musk Reacts To Cash App Founder Murder

Elon Musk and many others are reacting to the violent murder of a tech founder in San Francisco. Cash App founder Bob Lee was stabbed to death in what appears to be a completely random attack on the street. The murder has sent shockwaves through the tech community. Many have expressed distress about the increase in violent crime overall and specifically in San Francisco. The city is the hub for many tech innovators and has been for quite a few years. However, in a tweet about the incident, Musk points out that the California city has a habit of releasing many violent offenders back onto the streets. The entrepreneur and Twitter CEO is took the opportunity to try to make a change.

Jack Dorsey, the former CEO of Twitter, currently owns Cash App. For those who aren’t familiar with it, Cash App is a popular mobile payment service developed by Square Inc. Comparable to other apps like Venmo, it allows users to send and receive money digitally for personal and business transactions. Cash App offers a lot of features, including person-to-person money transfers, payment for goods and services, and even the ability to invest in stocks and Bitcoin. It has become a widely used option for individuals and businesses alike for quick and easy digital payments.

Musk Questions Safety Of San Fran Streets

In a tweet about the incident, Elon Musk expressed his condolences for the murder of Lee. In a reply to Jack Dorsey, Musk said, “Very sorry to hear that. Many people I know have been severely assaulted.” However, Musk also took the opportunity to publicly call out San Francisco District Attorney, Brooke Jenkins. “Violent crime in SF is horrific and even if attackers are caught, they are often released immediately,” Musk said. “Is the city taking stronger action to incarcerate repeat violent offenders @BrookeJenkinsSF?”

The final moments of Bob Lee’s life are on film, which adds to the heartbreaking nature of the event. The video depicts Lee as he approaches a driver who stopped on the side of the street with their hazard lights on. He shows them the stab wound and asks for help. Sadly, the motorists speeds away without helping Lee. The tech founder then phones 911 for help before collapsing and eventually passing away. The tech founder’s death is another in a long line of what appears to be a significant increase in violent crime on the streets. Do you think the city could be doing more to prevent violent crime? Sound off below.
