Stephen King Net Worth 2023: What Is The Author Worth?

Born in the tranquil town of Portland, Maine, in 1947, Stephen King’s roots seemed far removed from the macabre tapestries he’d go on to weave. His childhood, punctuated by familial shifts and an early tryst with the written word, served as the fertile ground from which his passion for storytelling would burgeon. Yet, beneath the veneer of his ordinary upbringing lay a mind that danced with phantoms, specters, and otherworldly tales. And as the calendars flipped to 2023, this master storyteller found himself perched atop a staggering net worth of $600 million, as delineated by CAknowledge.

But it’s not just the written word where King reigns supreme. Behind the terrifying tales is a man who, much like his stories, is multi-layered and full of surprises. King’s life hasn’t been devoid of struggles. His battle with addiction and his near-fatal accident in 1999 are testaments to his resilience. A family man at heart, King shares a close bond with his wife, Tabitha, and his children, many of whom have inherited the literary gene. His Maine residence, with its ornate gates adorned with spiders and bats, is a nod to his love for the Gothic, even as it stands as a sanctuary for the writer and his muses.

While King’s primary claim to fame remains his extensive bibliography, he has never avoided exploring new ventures. His foray into digital publishing with the release of Riding the Bullet was a nod to his forward-thinking approach to literature. Beyond the realm of business, King’s heart beats for philanthropy. Over the years, he and his wife have generously contributed to libraries. Additionally, educational initiatives and healthcare causes, especially in their home state of Maine. For King, the act of giving is as innate as the act of creating.

Ice-T And Stephen King Are Together At Last While Calling Shenanigans On Their Twitter Blue Checkmarks

Elon Musk has had a day, alright. First, his SpaceX rocket experienced “rapid unscheduled disassembly”/exploded. Then he finally put his plan in motion to strip legacy verified Twitter users of their Blue checkmarks if they hadn’t signed over $8 per month for Twitter Blue. This means that Taylor Swift and Beyoncé are no longer verified, which is a bizarre thing to behold. The takedown wasn’t universal, though. Stephen King and Ice-T discovered that they have retained Blue checkmarks, but both of them insist that they didn’t pay for the enduring symbol.

Both Ice and King have also been vocal about their intent not to pay up, and on 4/20 (yep), they’re calling shenanigans on whatever is happening behind the Twitter scenes with their accounts.

“My Twitter account says I’ve subscribed to Twitter Blue. I haven’t,” the horror maestro wrote. “My Twitter account says I’ve given a phone number. I haven’t.”

Yep, that’s what his profile says, so King is setting the record straight.

As well, the Law & Order: SVU star and rocker tweeted, “Thanks Stephen. Don’t believe the Hype.”

I smell a crossover coming. Or maybe some Body Count spoken word guest vocals. Something! Also, yep, no one knows what is going on at Twitter.

Stephen King Didn’t Waste Fancy Words While Cutting Down Ted Cruz, Who Previously Attempted To Outwit Him

A few months ago, Stephen King pretty much ignored Ted Cruz when the much-maligned senator attempted to outwit him over banned books. That move blew up in Ted’s face, and the same goes for his attempts to tweet about Fight Club and, as a The Princess Bride superfan, rumble with Cary Elwes. Yet Ted, never to be deterred, swung at a horror maestro and missed (Ted may have also missed the plentiful biblical themes in King’s work while lobbing an insult), and King is now apparently circling back with a blow of his own.

Mind you, King is saving his loftier prose for the printed page, which is likely a wise move because personal energy conservation is an underrated move. Also, attacking with the bluntest of swords can be effective, depending upon context. As such, the King of the Dad Jokes decided to simply refer to Ted as “Dumbo” in reference Ted’s condemnation of Anthony Fauci, who Ted accused of being “smug and gleeful” while he “casually called to shut down bars, restaurants, and gyms.”

“A million dead, Dumbo,” the Cell author responded. “If America hadn’t listened to Fauci, the number would have been twice or three times that.”

The “Dumbo” may have made some people’s evenings. Simple, yet effective.
