Drake’s Vancouver Concert Postponement Upsets Canadian Fans

Though Drake originally hails from Canada, and he takes plenty of pride in being the 6ix God, his performances in his home country don’t always go as planned. Unfortunately for those in Vancouver hoping to attend his It’s All a Blur show on Monday (August 28), they were met with news of a last-minute postponement to Wednesday evening. Many were obviously upset by the news, especially after spending their afternoon getting ready and pre-gaming, but thankfully it’s not all bad news.

While 21 Savage has been joining Champagne Papi on stages across North America this summer, rumour has it that Travis Scott will be making an appearance. The father of two’s private jet reportedly landed on the west coast yesterday, meaning that if we don’t see him perform “MELTDOWN” or “SICKO MODE,” we’ll likely at least see him raging along to Drake’s set in the audience.

Drake Promises Vancouver a Memorable Performance

“Vancouver it’s T-TIME [tomorrow], don’t you worry,” the Certified Lover Boy artist promised his followers via Instagram. Of course, due to the last-minute rescheduling of the show, some of those who had tickets for Monday won’t be able to make it to Wednesday’s performance. This left them understandably upset, though some of them chose to channel their anger in a less-than-flattering fashion.

In the video below, those waiting outside the latest It’s All a Blur tour stop venue lash out at an employee delivering the sad news to them. “It’s out of our control,” the Rogers Arena staff member reminded the disgruntled group. As HipHopDX reports, the only reason disclosed for the rescheduled event is ongoing issues with the “newly installed scoreboard.”

Fans React to Show’s Postponement

Travis Scott Is Rumored To Replace 21 Savage On Drake’s ‘It’s All A Blur Tour’ For A Few Selected Shows

Drake is still hard at work cooking up his forthcoming solo album, For All The Dogs. With his It’s All A Blur Tour slowly coming to an end, he will have more time to dedicate to it. But with only a few dates remaining, Drake wants to shake things on the road up a bit. According to rumors that resurfaced online yesterday (August 28) after his previously scheduled concert in Vancouver, Canada, was postponed, fans believe Travis Scott will be stepping in for a few selected shows.

The whispers on social media allege that Scott will replace 21 Savage for both remaining Canada shows both today (August 29) and tomorrow’s (August 30) rescheduled day. In photos shared to X (formerly Twitter), the new tour graphics featured a collage of images featuring the “KPop” rapper.

This wouldn’t mark the first time in the tour’s stops in Canada that 21 Savage was replaced. Back on July 14 and 15, J. Cole made a surprise appearance at the Canada Bell Centre in Montreal to step in for Savage during his notable absence.

8/29 – Vancouver, BC @ Rogers Arena
8/30 – Vancouver, BC @ Rogers Arena

Is Drake’s New Album ‘For All The Dogs’ Done?

For All The Dogs, Drake’s upcoming eighth studio album, is coming soon — but how soon? The Toronto rapper has been teasing its release all year, beginning with his Apollo Theater show in New York in January, but he still hasn’t revealed very many details about it. While on his ongoing tour with 21 Savage, It’s All A Blur, however, he did tell fans they wouldn’t have to wait “that much longer,” as he’s “finishing it up,” attributing the delay to the tour itself and promising, “it will be worth the wait.”

He made the statement after a rumor circulated online that the album would be released this past New Music Friday, August 25. However, Drake admonished the attendees for believing the speculation because “I didn’t say it was dropping last night, so don’t be mad at me. I just said it’s coming soon.” Lil Yachty, who reportedly has a production credit or two on the upcoming project, also clowned fans on Twitter and TikTok (not calling it X, not sorry), saying, “By the way, I know y’all thought For All The Dogs was coming out tonight: Joke’s on y’all because nobody ever said that it was. Gotta stop believing sh*t you see on the internet.”

As to the origin of the rumor, it appeared to have started with a photo of a supposed tweet from Amazon Music, but the tweet itself was deleted — or never existed in the first place. Something about the whole “anyone can have a verified accounts if they just pay eight bucks” thing has seriously undermined the credibility of the platform. Who’da thunk?

Anyway, we’re sure when Drake is ready to drop the album, he’ll tell us himself. ‘Til then, keep Lil Yachty’s advice in mind: take things you see online with a grain of salt — especially on social media, which has never been super reliable but has recently become a free-for-all of scammers and bots.

Drake Was So Impressed By A Fan’s Mom’s (Rather Large) Bra That He Urged Her ‘To Get Instagram ASAP’

There’s still time for Drake to scratch his imminent For All The Dogs album in favor of a more accurate title, For All The Bras, considering he can’t perform an It’s All A Blur Tour show without a fan-flung brassiere soaring toward the stage. Drake received a human-sized bra at Kia Forum in Inglewood, California earlier this month, and you’d think nobody would dare try to top that, but you’d think wrong.

Drake and 21 Savage brought their It’s All A Blur Tour to Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington on Friday, August 25, and Saturday, August 26. During one of those shows, Drake was greeted with a brand-new kind of bra.

A fan-captured video circulating on X (formerly known as Twitter) shows Drake speaking with someone near the stage. He’s holding a bra and says, “This is your mother’s bra that you brought to the show? Where is your mama at? You gotta send her my love. And by the way, you gotta send her my love, and you gotta tell her to get Instagram ASAP.”

The crowd erupts in cheers and giggles, and Drake continues, “This is insane. What the hell? I could use this sh*t as a durag tonight.”

And yes, Drake puts the bra on his head before confirming it’s a “full-coverage bra, clearly” and joking, “This that OVO sh*t.” (More specifically, the size was 46J.)

See the moment below.

21 Savage Shoved A Fan Lunging Toward His Face During His And Drake’s ‘It’s All A Blur Tour’ Show

Drake and 21 Savage’s It’s All A Blur Tour is aptly named. Drake likely has whiplash from all the bras he’s fielded every night, except for when his son, Adonis, attended a Kia Forum show in Inglewood, California, and mostly welcomes spontaneous crowd interactions.

Meanwhile, 21 Savage was caught off guard when he and Drake staged two It’s All A Blur Tour shows at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington over the weekend. A video circulating on X (formerly known as Twitter) shows 21 flanked by security while walking through the audience. Still, one woman managed to get her hands on his face, and he reacted by shoving her.

A fan similarly reached out to grab Drake’s neck during his jaunt through the crowd — it’s unclear if both instances happened during the same Seattle show — and he lightly brushed her arm away with a smile on his face.

The It’s All A Blur Tour will next visit Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC on Monday, August 28, and Tuesday, August 29 before hitting Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena on September 1 and 2. The North American leg is scheduled to stretch into October, wrapping with back-to-back shows in Drake’s native Toronto on October 6 and 7 before the grand finale in Columbus, Ohio on October 9. See all of the remaining dates here.

Fans are awaiting Drake’s release of his For All The Dogs album, which he’s been teasing for the duration for the tour. Most recently, in Seattle, Drake confirmed (again) that the album is “coming soon.”

“It’s not going to be that much longer, trust me. I’m finishing it up. You know I’ve got shows every night. But I promise you, For All The Dogs is on the way,” he said.

Drake Said He’s ‘Still Finishing’ His Upcoming Album ‘For All The Dogs,’ But The Wait Won’t Be ‘That Much Longer’

Drake fans have been anxiously awaiting his ninth studio solo album, For All The Dogs. At the time of writing, not much is known about the album, though some have theorized that it may be an R&B album, as Drake teased a return to the “old Drake” upon the initial announcement. Fans were expecting For All The Dogs to arrive this past week, as Amazon Music had accidentally tweeted, then later deleted an announcement that contained a release date for August 25.

When the album didn’t drop, fans, of course, expressed their disappointment. Last night (August 25), during the Seattle stop on the It’s All A Blur Tour, Drake shared an update on For All The Dogs with the fans.

“I know you’re probably upset because I didn’t drop the album last night. I didn’t say it was dropping last night, so don’t be mad at me” said Drake. “I just said it’s coming soon. It’s not going to be that much longer, trust me. I’m finishing it up. You know I’ve got shows every night. But I promise you, For All The Dogs is on the way.”

Drake wrapped up his sentiment, teasing that the album may be similar to some of his earlier work.

“If you’ve ever loved anything I’ve ever done in the past, I promise you this album will be for you,” he said. “I promise you it will be worth the wait.”

Lil Yachty Thinks ‘Y’all Stupid’ For Believing Drake’s Album Was Coming Out Today, But He Found A Silver Lining

Drake hasn’t revealed the release date for his new album, For All The Dogs, but it looked like Amazon Music did last week, when a tweet from the streaming platform indicated it was coming on August 25. That is of course today, and when midnight rolled around, the album was nowhere to be found. Lil Yachty has some thoughts on that.

Shortly after midnight this morning, he reminded people that no official source actually said the album was scheduled to drop that night, tweeting, “y’all stupid, no body even said for all the dogs was comin out tonight.”

He had pretty much the same message in a TikTok video he posted around the same time, saying, “By the way, I know y’all thought For All The Dogs was coming out tonight: Joke’s on y’all because nobody ever said that it was. Gotta stop believing sh*t you see on the internet.”

Yachty then saw an opportunity for a plug and took it, continuing, “Second of all: I dropped tonight, you know what I’m saying? Check out that new ‘Tesla.’ Wow, that’s oh so shameless, mentioning Drake’s name to plug myself, but whatever. I just dropped. No brakes, still going, I’m going to drop a song every week for the rest of the year. Ah!”

shameless plug, tesla out now

So, no Drake today, but a bunch of Yachty for the next few months.

Lil Durk Shares A Picture Of Himself And Drake

Drake is one of the biggest stars on earth, so even some major figures in rap music can find themselves a little star-struck in his presence. But others manage to play it cool and take the opportunities that come with being around someone with such significant pull. Lil Durk seems to be somewhere in the middle. Overnight he shared a new picture of the two hanging out together. While it’s a pretty simple snap the implication is clear, Drake and Durk are closer than people may realize.

Unfortunately, fans in the comments weren’t so sure about what Lil Durk did. “Posting another man on your page is crazy,” reads the top comment on the post. “Durk posted this after he did sum for drake,” jokes another fan in reference to Drake’s hit song “Rich Flex” from last year. Though there were fans in the comments hyping Durk up, a surprising amount of his own replies are at his own expense. After Durk and Drake were initially spotted together leaving one of the latter’s recent shows, it sparked plenty of speculation about whether or not Durk would appear on Drake’s upcoming For All The Dogs project.

Lil Durk fans can expect more material coming soon. All summer he’s been promising a deluxe edition of his Almost Healed album from earlier this year and last week he gave fans a first taste. He shared the song “F*ck U Thought,” the lead single of the pending deluxe edition of the album. The song is already pushing close to 2 million streams on Spotify just a week after it was first released.

Durk also promised fans that a feature run could be coming soon. That combined with his appearance alongside Drake and teases with Sexyy Red have fans speculating who could be teaming up with Durk later this year. What do you think of Lil Durk getting clowned by fans for posting a pic of himself with Drake? Let us know in the comment section below.

WATCH: Drake Recalls Meeting Kobe Bryant for the First Time on Lil Wayne’s Tour Bus

Drake Becomes First Rapper to Earn $5 Million in a Single Arena Concert

Drake was in Kobe Bryant’s house in Wednesday, bringing his It’s All A Blur tour to another night at the former Staples Center. While on stage, Drake recalled meeting Kobe Bryant while on tour with Lil Wayne.

“The day I got flown out to get signed, I was on Lil Wayne’s tour bus, I’ll never forget,” Drake opened. “And he said, ‘Man, I got this album coming out. It’s called Tha Carter III. I want to play it for you, but we gotta wait for somebody to get here first.’”

That person was Kobe Bryant who boarded the bus and the trio enjoyed the album together. It was the first time Drizzy met The Black Mamba.
