Childish Gambino Seems To Diss Joe Budden On New Album “Bando Stone And The New World”

Childish Gambino’s presumably final album, Bando Stone And The New World, has a little bit of everything for Donald Glover fans. There’s some soulful and tender instrumentation, some wild distorted experimentation, and the return of boastful and combative Gambino on more than a few fiery rap cuts here. Of course, people became so beef-pilled in recent months that folks immediately combed through the lyrics to see if anyone caught strays. While there aren’t any direct shots on Bando Stone, one particular set of lines on the track “Survival” with Chlöe Bailey is the most likely subliminal, and it’s seemingly directed at Joe Budden.

They in the minor leagues, but I’m pro-Black / I bet he hate his mom, how you know that? / You got a podcast ’cause you can’t rap / You on some Fresh and Fit s**t, talking body counts / I count a body every time I’m on tracks,” Childish Gambino raps on the cut. While this might seem like a bizarre and out-of-nowhere shot, there’s actually some precedent for animosity here. Budden had previously posited that Drake would absolutely demolish Gambino in a rap battle, whether through straight-up bars or having a troll-off.

Childish Gambino’s “Survival”: Listen To The Alleged Joe Budden Disses

Of course, Joe Budden’s beef-preoccupied mind probably spends more time these days thinking about Cardi B rather than Childish Gambino. They recently engaged in a pretty nasty Twitter spat, as Cardi blasted the rapper and podcaster for his criticisms of her career and releases. Budden seemed to take it all in stride and dismiss engaging with the conversation, whether to indicate his lack of ill will or to not deal with that headache altogether. Either way, it doesn’t seem like a very good weekend to be the Slaughterhouse MC.

Meanwhile, other Childish Gambino fans think that the lyrics on Bando Stone might take shots at Drake, Kendrick Lamar, or others. In fact, some folks just want to see him talk about all the rap beefs in 2024, which he already expressed little interest in. More importantly, plenty of other bars on this album indicate that Glover could really care less about rap beef. So whether or not this was actually a shot at Joe Budden, we doubt he wants to make a big deal out of it.

DJ Akademiks Claims Drake Has A Kendrick Lamar Sneak Diss Ready

Drake vs. Kendrick Lamar will be the hip-hop story of 2024. Nothing will come along that tops it in terms of importance or attention. It was a fun time for all involved, except for maybe Drake. That being said, the battle may not be over. DJ Akademiks has continued to hint at the possibility that the 6 God has more to say about his enemy on record. Drake has been quiet, at least by Drake standards. During a new stream, though, DJ Akademiks claimed that some K. Dot sneak disses are on the way.

Ak’s allegiance to Drake is inarguable. That being said, the hip-hop personality does appear to have an inside line to the OVO camp. His predictions and debunking of rumors has been mostly spot on. He’s not infallible, of course, but when it comes to new Drake material, he has enough credibility to be believable. He voiced excitement over the next phase of the Drake and Kendrick Lamar battle, which he called sneak dissing time. “It’s really never over,” he noted. “I can’t wait to hear the first sneak diss.” Akademiks went to share some additional information, but he caught himself. “Matter of fact,” he said, before pausing. “I won’t even tell y’all what I heard.”

DJ Akademiks Alludes To Unreleased Drake Music

DJ Akademiks’ excitement did make it seem like he knew something the public didn’t, though. “I can’t wait to hear the first sneak diss Drake got,” he explained. “That’s dissing Kendrick. How he positions it, that’s gonna be interesting. How does he position it…” It’s been a few months since Drake and Kendrick Lamar swapped diss tracks, but the beef appears to very much be active. Lamar is still riding high on the success of his Drake diss, “Not Like Us,” which went back to number one on Billboard. Dot’s former label mate, Ab-Soul, also tweeted about the possibility of Drake picking the battle back up.

More recently, ScHoolboy Q went after Drake’s OVO camp. The TDE artist claimed that Canadian police forced him to cancel his show in Toronto, and he vented about the sudden decision on Twitter. He said that Young Money and OVO artists have been cool in Los Angeles, and suggested that the 6 God was being sensitive. The real cause behind Q’s canceled show have since been debated. Some claim that Canadian police were behind it, others claimed the rapper canceled it himself. Time will tell if all this tension will manifest in the form of a sneak diss, like DJ Akademiks claimed.

Soulja Boy Continues Drake Tirade With Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” Lyrics

It’s no secret that Drake hate has been rampant ever since his viral lyrical battle with Kendrick Lamar. The feud left many of the Toronto hitmaker’s fans and peers disappointed, and apparently, Soulja Boy is no exception. Earlier this week, the “Crank That” artist took to X to sound off about Drizzy’s performance in the “20 v. 1,” making it clear that he was less than impressed.

“You disappointed me @Drake,” he wrote. “Doing all them weak a** songs with them n***az look where It got u none of them n***az you collab with or took on tour had yo back.” Unfortunately for Drizzy, however, he wasn’t quite finished. Today, he hopped on the platform once again with some more harsh words, this time from Kendrick himself.

Soulja Boy Goes After Drake Again

“Freaky a** n***a @Drake,” he wrote simply, quoting Kendrick’s track “Not Like Us.” While Soulja Boy and Drake haven’t always been on the best of terms, it remains unclear why Soulja chose now to go after Drake. Regardless, he doesn’t appear to be holding back, and he’s certainly not alone. Recently, it was also reported that Drizzy’s Toronto mansion flooded, which Kendrick fans had a field day with. Rick Ross even got in on the trolling, chalking up the undoubtedly pricey damage to “minor issues.”

Drake isn’t the only person Soulja Boy has taken aim at as of late, however. Last month, he also revived his feud with Meek Mill with some jokes about his alleged relationship with Diddy on Instagram Live, when he and a friend accidentally wore the same hoodie. “This n***a got the same hoodie, no Diddy, man,” he said. “I ain’t on that Meek Mill-Diddy sh*t,” he said. “I ain’t on no Diddy sh*t, man.” What do you think of Soulja Boy taking to X with more harsh words for Drake? Are you surprised or not? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Eminem Attempts To Make Peace With MGK On “The Death Of Slim Shady”

Eminem and MGK have been oil and water for a decade. They’ve trash-talked each other in interviews, and dropped memorable diss tracks. Eminem is widely considered to be the winner of the battle, but he usually comes out on top of lyrical contests (Mariah Carey notwithstanding). Eminem and MGK have not mended fences since their beef peaked in 2018. Which is why Em’s decision to address the beef, along with several others, was so surprising. The rapper is really trying to reckon with the past on The Death of Slim Shady.

Eminem name drops all over the new album. “Guilty Conscience 2” is perhaps the most intriguing example of name dropping, though. Instead of insult them, Em decides to hold a mirror up to himself. He argues, in the form of both Em and his alter ego, Slim Shady, whether he was in the wrong to engage in beef. He names Nick Cannon, Christopher Reeve, and even Will Smith, but the one that was most surprising was MGK. “God, you piece of sh*t, that does it (Uh-oh, wait),” Em raps. “Yeah, b*tch, this is for him (What?). Christopher, MGK, Nick, and for Limp Bizkit and them.”

Eminem Wants To Embrace A More Positive Outlook

The adlibs are meant to be Slim Shady, while Eminem wrestles control of the song and his narrative. He’s come to the conclusion that he doesn’t want to beef anymore. At least, with the names he mentioned (he seems to have a problem with Caitlin Jenner elsewhere on the album). MGK stands out, though, because he gets a second reference on the song. “Guilty Conscience 2” ends with Eminem killing the Slim Shady persona and fulfilling the album’s title. In doing so, he uses the name of the diss song that he released against MGK. “Last hoorah, I bid you goodbye. Murder suicide,” Eminem spits. “Killshot, booyaka, c*ck sucker. Coup de grâce, motherf*cker.”

MGK has voiced frustration with Eminem in the aftermath of their beef. He told USA Today that his music wasn’t taken as seriously in the wake of “Killshot.” “[Hotel Diablo] was coming off the tail-end of that infamous beef,” he noted. “So no one wanted to give it the time of day.” MGK has rebounded as a pop punk star, and Eminem has seemingly moved on from the vitriol to a healthier place. Hopefully the two of them can keep the past in the past.

Kendrick Lamar’s Rumored Album Release Date Could Actually Be A Subtle Drake Diss

Earlier this week, Kendrick Lamar unleashed his eagerly anticipated “Not Like Us” music video, and unsurprisingly, it’s been a major success. The video has already racked up more than 23 million views on YouTube, prompted countless reactions from fans, and more. Social media users have been hard at work dissecting the explosive visual, identifying any potential hints at what’s to come. A jacket Kendrick wore in the video, for example, has sparked rumors about his next album.

The jacket in question was believed to feature the date “8/8/2024,” which many thought could be the release date of an upcoming project. It was later confirmed, however, that the jacket actually says “S/S/2024.” Now, it’s speculated that this was yet another subtle jab at Drake.

Fans Look For Clues In Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” Video

The jacket, as well as a scarf Kendrick sported at other points in the video, is from Jamaican-British designer Martine Rose’s Spring/Summer collection. Fans think this could have been a reference to Kendrick’s digs at Drake’s accent and use of Toronto slang. This is unconfirmed, though it wouldn’t come as a shock considering all the subtle jabs Kendrick’s taken at Drizzy in recent months.

As for the actual release date for Kendrick’s next album, it’s still up in the air, though some suspect that it’ll arrive sooner rather than later. During a recent chat with TMZ, for instance, The Alchemist shared his prediction that the project will drop sometime this year. “I think he’s gonna drop an album this year,” he told the outlet, “I don’t think he has to… I think he will, just cuz he can.” What do you think of Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” music video? What about rumors that his jacket featured the release date of his next album? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Tia Kemp Addresses Rick Ross’ “Pedo Vs Granny” Diss After Supporting Drake

Over the weekend, Rick Ross was caught off guard after a performance at Vancouver’s Ignite Music Festival. Reportedly, he had his DJ play Kendrick Lamar’s Drake diss track, “Not Like Us,” prompting tension in the crowd. Eventually, an alleged Drake fan confronted him with a punch to the face, resulting in a huge brawl.

As expected, the footage went viral, and Ross’ ex-wife Tia Kemp was quick to weigh in. She roasted the hitmaker for what she saw as a failed attempt to fight back, made fun of his physical appearance, and more. She later showed love to Drake in the comments section of one of his latest Instagram posts, which he responded to by calling her his “goat.”

This clearly rubbed Ross the wrong way, as he later tagged them both, writing “pedo vs. granny.” She didn’t appreciate the diss and rushed online to fire back. In a new clip, Kemp questions why Ross is calling her a “granny” while he himself is still having babies despite having an adult son. “Every baby you’ve been having is aunties and uncles by the time they’re days old,” she said. “They can’t even enjoy being a f*cking newborn. Please tighten up with that ‘granny’ sh*t.

Kemp also added a few more jabs about his altercation in Canada, making it clear that she won’t be holding back anytime soon. As for Drake, he hasn’t directly addressed any of this, though he did appear to have a blast celebrating Canada Day with Kevin Durant despite the drama. What do you think of Tia Kemp’s reaction to Rick Ross calling her “granny”? Do you agree with her or not? What about his recent run-in with alleged Drake fans in Vancouver? Latto & Ice Spice Smack Talk Each Other As Their Beef Continues At The BET Awards

Latto and Ice Spice are two of the most impactful female hip-hop artists right now. You could even make the argument for overall, especially this year. Both have turned in hit after hit, and they are nearing the releases of their highly-anticipated projects in the ensuing months. For Ice Spice, she will finally be delivering her debut album Y2K! on July 26th. Then, there is the self-proclaimed Queen of da Souf’s record Sugar Honey Iced Tea. Each album looks to do run up the streams and sales when they hit the market, and it will be interesting to see who comes out on top.

That is partially because these two leading ladies are still butting heads. Each femcee has taken their respective shots via social media and the booth over these last several months. That animosity was on further display during the 2024 BET Awards last night (June 30), as Latto and Ice Spice were dragging each other for their performances. They both showcased their respective disses, “Think U The S*** (Fart)” and “Sunday Service”, in addition to some other cuts.

However, it seems Latto and Ice Spice were locked into those two songs in particular. Following the latter’s time onstage, the Atlanta-based artist claimed that she is in indeed a “fart” and the “stankiest” one at that. The New York native followed up with a retort on X (formerly Twitter) dispelling Latto’s statement. “U NOT EVEN THE FART B!TCH🧡now gimmie my 10ss”.

What are your thoughts on Latto making fun of Ice Spice’s performance at the BET Awards? If these two get into a diss track battle, who do you have winning? Who do you think had the better showing onstage? Additionally, who has been having the better year so far and who will at the end? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. PARTYNEXTDOOR Blasts Jeremih, Chris Brown & Bryson Tiller Over Their New Music Video

Looks like the year of beef isn’t over yet, as PARTYNEXTDOOR just tweeted and deleted some scathing shots at Chris Brown, Jeremih, and Bryson Tiller over their new collab “Wait On It.” Moreover, apparently they featured PARTY’s ex-girlfriend Desma in the visual, and these new attacks are interesting considering that he reportedly brought Jeremih out at his concert on Thursday night (June 27) just before the song came out (for the record, the two had previously squashed beef). Overall, it seems like quite the nasty situation between four guys who could make great collaborations together. It’s also unknown how much Brown and Tiller are “at fault” here when it comes to this choice.

“I’m finna make these n***as cry…” one of PARTYNEXTDOOR’s since-deleted tweets read. “Bryson Chris; and Jeremih… enjoy, the nights, of your life. Doing videos, at 34, that b***h broke. I know 5 rnb singers who broke.” It looks like he also allegedly bragged about having $40 million in the bank, and the “Ratchet Happy Birthday” originator might have more to say. Still, considering that he deleted these tweets, maybe this will just stay in the history books, or Jeremih, Chris Brown, and Bryson Tiller will respond in kind.

PARTYNEXTDOOR’s Deleted Tweets Against His Ex, Jeremih, Chris Brown & Bryson Tiller

In fact, it’s not even clear why PARTYNEXTDOOR is mad: it’s just understandable to make the assumption if Desma was in the “Wait On It” music video. Elsewhere, though, PARTY spoke on some interesting routines for his vocal technique, and maybe they can calm him down amid this combativeness. For a raspier tone, he revealed that a shot of vodka will usually do the trick, whereas he uses almost-boiling water to sit in the back of his throat if he wants the purest tone possible. They’re certainly some odd choices, but it usually results in great singing, so all’s well that ends well?

Still, it begs the question… Will this situation end well? Will PARTYNEXTDOOR continue to go at these R&B rivals over some girl trouble? Or will he choose to respond to Kendrick Lamar’s nose-playing claims on “Not Like Us” months after its release and support his OVO partner Drake in the beef? Time will tell, but it seems like the Canadian crooner is ready for some smoke either way.

Yungeen Ace Ruthlessly Disses Foolio (Again) On New Song “Game Over”

Yungeen Ace and Foolio did not like each other. They were caught up in a deadly feud that lasted years. It may have potentially played a role in Foolio’s death. Tragedy has not stopped Ace, however. The rapper has continued to diss Foolio on record. Yungeen Ace dropped a song called “Do It” right after Foolio passed, on which he alludes to putting out a hit on someone’s life. Ace doesn’t mention names, but he knew how the verse would be perceived by the public. He decided to do it again. Worse, he decided to be more disrespectful.

Yungeen Ace dropped the song “Game Over” on June 28. The title already carries with it extremely grim connotations. The bars are even worse. “Dead on the floor, dead on arrival, Mr. 6. I’m steady screamin’ out, “F*ck the long, f*ck the 6,” Ace raps. “Four in the car and one of them dead, three got hit. I told them n**gas they don’t want no war with this sh*t.” This is where plausible deniability goes out the proverbial window. Foolio was one of four passengers in a car when he was killed. Foolio’s set is 6 Block. The number is littered throughout the entire song. Yungeen Ace isn’t even trying to be subliminal. “Game Over” literally starts with the rapper saying: “Y’all know I smoke dead people, man, you know what I’m sayin’? And I smoke 6, haha.”

The rapper went as far as to detail Foolio’s death. “5.56 increase the murder rate, ‘nother body on the way,” he spits. “Mask on, get up close, this another closed case. Don Julio shots to the face.” Foolio used the name “Julio Fulio,” and Yungeen Ace likens his death via shooting to taking shots of Don Julio tequila. Disrespectful doesn’t do the song justice. Ace’s decision to celebrate Foolio’s death so publicly could come back to haunt him, however. Especially given how blatant he’s been with his bars.

Criminal lawyer Brian Rivers analyzed Yungeen Ace’s “Do It” on social media. He claimed that the lyrics could land the rapper in serious legal trouble. “If they can link Yungeen Ace to any kind of case,” Rivers explained. “This is coming into evidence. If you dance this close to the sun, you’re gonna get f*cking burned.” Ace’s decision to not only drop a diss, but drop a second, more detailed diss, is certainly an example of dancing close to the sun. Time will tell if his career suffers as a result. His reputation, however, has already started to chip away.

Yungeen Ace Drops Foolio Diss Track, “Do It,” Just Hours After His Death

Yungeen Ace, who was engaged in a serious feud with Foolio for years, dropped a new song titled, “Do It,” just hours after news of the Florida rapper’s death became public. “Catch his ass and do his ass, you know he’s finished,” Ace raps at one point in the track. Foolio was shot and killed outside of a Holiday Inn while celebrating his 26th birthday in Tampa, Florida over the weekend.

The beef between Ace and Foolio has lasted several years. It stems from a rivalry between their respective crews, Ace’s ATK and Foolio’s KTA. There have been several shootings with victims on both sides of the violence. In 2021, Ace collaborated on, “Who I Smoke,” on which he mentions the names of several dead associates of Foolio. Foolio responded with “When I See You,” which samples a news team’s coverage of the killing of Ace’s brother.

Yungeen Ace Disses Foolio

Foolio’s lawyer, Lewis Fusco, confirmed details of his client’s death in a statement he shared on Instagram, on Sunday. He wrote: “Mr. Jones had been in Tampa to celebrate his birthday over the weekend. Law enforcement reports indicate that he initially stayed at an Airbnb but was asked to leave due to exceeding occupancy limits. He subsequently relocated to the Holiday Inn, where he was involved in an incident in the hotel parking lot and reportedly ambushed. While these events involving our client, Mr. Charles Jones, have been disclosed by law enforcement, we are unable to provide further comments at this time until additional details become public record. We kindly request that the privacy of Mr. Jones and his family be respected during this difficult time.”

Before Ace dropped “Do It,” Charleston White also made headlines for having an insensitive reaction to Foolio’s passing. In a video on social media, he joked about the location of his death. He remarked that the rapper “worked hard to die.” Be on the lookout for further updates on Yungeen Ace and Foolio on HotNewHipHop.
