Lil Wayne Accused Of Dissing Drake On “Saturday Mornings” And Here’s Why

If there’s one thing the internet is good for, it’s overanalyzing. Rap verses that would have gone unnoticed back in the day have become sources of speculation and debate. Especially when it comes to Drake. The Toronto rapper is a master of subliminals, and as such, anybody related to him is investigated by fans to see if they throw subs back. Lil Wayne has been Drake’s mentor for a decade and a half, and yet, the Young Money rapper has fans questioning whether he dissed the 6 God on his latest song.

The song in question is “Saturday Mornings,” a soulful collab with Cordae. Lil Wayne absolutely skates on the back end of the song, with some of his best wordplay in years. Some of the bars can (and has been) interpreted as Drizzy bashing, though. “It fit me like a glove, OJ hand. I’ma need a little love from your hating a*s,” Wayne raps. “Need less yes-men and more amens. I’ma need more real prayers and less praying hands.” The reference to the OJ glove has been applied to the artwork for the Drake diss song “6:16 In LA.” The praying hands, meanwhile, is theorized to be in reference to Drake’s “6 God” logo.

Lil Wayne Uses Drake’s Last Name As A Punchline

The line that really has fans scratching their head, though, is the one that mentions Drake’s surname: Graham. “You standing on business, I’m a business man,” Lil Wayne spits. “I’ma GOAT, n**ga you a sacrificial lamb. You a Teddy bear, n**ga, a Teddy Graham.” Weezy F. Baby is calling his target sweet, plain and simple. The evidence is compelling, especially given the fact that Drake has been clowned for being sweet for most of his career. The thing is, Wayne has been nothing but supportive of Drake since day one. The two artists have collaborated multiple times, and Young Money has stood behind Drizzy in light of the Kendrick Lamar battle.

Lil Wayne even went viral for trying to defend Drake against Lamar’s “Not Like Us” diss. The rapper tried to tweak the lyrics to the song during a recent performance in Las Vegas. It didn’t really work, though, and merely led to confusion as to which side he was on. It’s worth noting that Lil Wayne is set to drop a Rick Ross collab on July 26, despite Ross being firmly anti-Drake. There’s lot to speculate about, but at the end of the day, Wayne deserves the benefit of the doubt. Him and Drake are good until one of them says otherwise.

Queen Key Drags Jazmine Cheaves For Discussing 600Breezy’s Relationship With Their Alleged Children

Earlier this month, Jayda Cheaves’ sister Jazmine revealed the identity of her son’s father during an episode of her podcast, Not Cr*zy, Just Misunderstood. “My baby daddy — my real baby daddy — I don’t need no f*cking DNA test, he don’t need no DNA test. His momma — everybody know who the f*ck my baby daddy is, my baby daddy… is 600Breezy,” she announced. At the time, she also claimed that Breezy hadn’t reached out since their alleged son Blaze’s birth, accusing him of being a “deadbeat.”

Jazmine went on to appear on Jayda’s Act Normal podcast with Dess Dior, where she discussed 600Breezy’s involvement in their alleged son’s life once again. According to her, he’s now financially supporting the infant and otherwise doing his part, at least for “the kids that he claims.” She alleged that aside from their son, 600Breezy has two other children from previous relationships.

Jazmine Cheaves Responds To Queen Key

This prompted a response from Queen Key, who alleged that 600Breezy was the father of her triplets back in 2019. She hopped on her Instagram Story to share a screenshot of a direct message to Jazmine. “B***h, didn’t I tell you stop speaking on my kids,” it reads. She then shared a post promoting her new single, throwing some serious shade in her caption. “Today im in a blessed mood so ima donate all earnings to jayda Wayda lil sister or big sister whoever tf she is so she can buy a NAME,” she wrote in part. “Ho gotta get a lil cheap brain from somewhere too so she can stop claiming a DL man who’s never met her son as the father.”

Jazmine took to her own Instagram Story to respond, though she opted to keep it brief. “It a be diabolical for me to sit here & entertain this bs,” she wrote simply. Soulja Boy Issues Unhinged Response To B. Simone’s Shady Podcast Comments

Earlier this week, B. Simone dropped a new episode of her Let’s Try This Again podcast, and threw some serious shade at Soulja Boy. At one point in the episode, she recalled doing a cover shoot for a magazine while listening to a gospel playlist, claiming that she heard zero complaints from anyone on set. “Nobody said ‘Why are we listening to this? Man, put on Soulja Boy.’ I don’t think anybody’s ever saying put on Soulja Boy… I don’t know why I said that.”

Simone went on to backpedal a bit, complimenting him by calling him a “hip hop legend,” a “trendsetter,” and more. Unfortunately, however, it appears as though the damage had already been done. Eventually, the rapper hopped on Instagram Live to respond and didn’t hold back in the slightest.

Soulja Boy Rips B. Simone To Shreds On Instagram Live

In a lengthy rant, he called Simone out for dissing him, going after her career, appearance, and more. He even accused her of trying to hook up with him on the set of Wild ‘n Out and claimed he turned her down. “‘We ain’t never said turn on Soulja Boy.’ We ain’t never said turn on B. Simone, who the f*ck is you?” he shouted. “That’s f*cked up. If a n***a don’t want to f*ck you, a n***a don’t want to f*ck you… So I’ve got to f*ck you for you to get on the internet and say something good about me? […] If you ain’t got something nice to say don’t say nothing at all.”

Clearly, the performer didn’t appreciate the shade and certainly wasn’t about to let it slide. What do you think of B. Simone shading Soulja Boy on her podcast? What about his unhinged response? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

One of them, however, seems to have gotten started early. Today, an alleged snippet from Ice Spice’s track “BB Belt” surfaced online, sparking speculation that she dissed Cardi B.

On the track, Ice Spice raps about someone “changing her face,” and claims she “took her place.” She didn’t call Cardi out by name, but nonetheless, she took to X with an apparent response. “These b*tches have absolutely lost their mind,” she wrote. “I’m getting all my lick backs on my album tho …ON EACH ONE OF YOU B*TCHES !!!”

Boosie Badazz Apologizes For Dragging Yung Bleu’s Mentally Disabled Son

Boosie Badazz and Yung Bleu have been wrapped up in a heated feud for years now, and unfortunately, it doesn’t appear to show any signs of slowing down. During an interview with VladTV last month, for example, the Louisiana-born rapper clowned Yung Bleu for how his album Jeremy performed. He joked that Yung Bleu only made a couple hundred bucks off his Boosie and DJ Vlad diss track “Reading The Room,” despite seemingly investing a lot more into the accompanying music video.

This prompted a response from Yung Bleu, who claimed that he earns more than Boosie, made fun of the apartments on his property, and more. Boosie was quick to fire back, though his comments certainly managed to raise eyebrows. Aside from continuing to accuse Yung Bleu of stealing his money, and dragging his music, he also went after the rapper’s mentally disabled son.

Boosie Badazz Claims Yung Bleu Dissed His Kids First

“Maybe my kids can come over n help yo r**arded a*s son count to five,” Boosie wrote. “Go wipe all that damn slob up off your floor before y’all fall down n hurt yourself.” In another recent chat with Vlad, Boosie revealed that he received a great deal of backlash for this from his fans, who found his remarks insensitive. He apologized to everyone he offended, arguing that he only dissed Yung Bleu’s child because he dissed his kids first.

“When a motherf*cker talk [about] my kids, everything’s off limits,” he explained. “If you talk about my kids i’mma talk about your kids.” Despite this, he says he understands how his comments were hurtful, and regrets offending fans. What do you think of Boosie Badazz apologizing for dissing Yung Bleu’s mentally disabled son? Do you agree that this was the right thing to do? What about him claiming he only did it because Yung Bleu dissed his kids first? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Did Drake Diss Soulja Boy On New Lil Yachty Collaboration?

Drake teamed up with Lil Yachty for a new unreleased collaboration tentatively titled, “Super Soak,” on which he possibly fired back at Soulja Boy for his recent posts on social media. Kai Cenat premiered the song during a live stream on Tuesday night. On the song, he raps: “I’m watching the moves, playin’ it close / SOD, super soak.” Some fans have been linking the bar to Soulja’s 2007 song, “Super Soak.”

The song premiere comes after Soulja chimed in on Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s recent feud on X (formerly Twitter). “Swag Season July 28 never let a n***a try me like I’m Drake,” Soulja wrote on the platform, earlier this month. “You disappointed me. @Drake.” In a follow-up, he added: “Doing all them weak ass songs with them n****z look where It got u none of them n****z you collab with or took on tour had yo back @Drake.”

It was far from the first time Soulja had been critical of Drizzy. Back in 2019, he went off on the Toronto rapper during an appearance on The Breakfast Club at which point Charlamagne referred to Drake as “the biggest rapper in the world.” Soulja fired back in a video that quickly went viral: “Draaaaakkkkkkeeee?! That n***a who got bodied by Pusha T? Drake?! Y’all n****s better stop playing with me in here. Y’all talking about the light-skinned n***a from [Degrassi]? Stop playing with me like I didn’t teach Drake everything he know.”

Joe Budden Says He Makes A Million Dollars Every Time He Talks About Drake

Joe Budden and Drake have a very complicated relationship, one that the former is very happy to speak on and speak on and speak on… Moreover, during the most recent episode of the Slaughterhouse rapper’s self-titled podcast, he specifically ranted against artists that are bringing up his own pivot from his rap career into podcasting against him. But Budden made it clear that there’s only one person who can ever really criticize him in this regard, and that’s the 6ix God. Why does he have that special privilege? Well, Joe suggests that, since talking about Drizzy makes him a lot of money, he’s one of the only ones who have actually been able to be as successful as Joe wanted to be with his original plan to be a hip-hop artist.

“I move the way I move,” Joe Budden remarked on his podcast. “If n***as got a problem with it, in the great words of -– no pun -– Cardi, ‘If it’s up, then it stuck!‘ When Drake drops a diss, I make a million dollars. None of y’all have that equity! No, it’s too many people out there that think that I have something to gain from speaking highly or lowly about you n***as. That little box is reserved for him! I’ma come in here and talk about that n***a’s diss tracks whether I like it or not! It’s happened too many times. That’s gonna be a good month.”

Joe Budden Speaks On Drake’s Profitability

Speaking of that Cardi B beef, one of the things that she brought up against Joe Budden is how he’s a clown in her eyes for speculating on Drake’s alleged $400 million deal with UMG. “Stop being a f***ing hater,” she remarked. “I’ll f***ing tour till I’m 65 if somebody gives me $400M. $400M that you don’t have… Everything that somebody do good, you always hate on it. That’s bad, that’s terrible. You always hating on something.”

Also, Joe Budden’s hot takes on Drake usually extend to his fanbase, too. “If you’re talking to a Drake fan, that don’t mean you’re talking to a hip-hop fan,” he recently posited. Of course, many wildly misinterpreted this statement online as a claim that Drake fans are not hip-hop fans. As Budden and Aubrey prove time and time again, the line between critique and cruel hating is a very thin one on either side.

Drake Fans Are Convinced That Childish Gambino Named His Son After Him Amid Diss Rumors

A lot of fans think that Childish Gambino is sending shots at Drake on his Bando Stone cut “Yoshinoya,” which has many of them looking back at their history together and what could’ve gone wrong. In the process of fans “picking their side,” though, many OVO die-hards are harping on the idea that Donald Glover named his second son “Drake” in 2018 after the 6ix God. Moreover, these followers clowned the multi-hyphenate for supposedly displaying such an obsession with Aubrey that his child needs to remind him of him.

However, others not only flipped this to mean that Drizzy is Childish Gambino’s son, but also called out that it’s the OVO fans who became too obsessed to realize that Drake is not an exclusive trademark term to refer to the Toronto superstar, but rather a very common name. Regardless, there’s actually a lot of material here for a potential beef brewing. Many fans felt that Gambino’s new album Bando Stone And The New World had a lot of Drake influence on it with the rap flows and the vocal tone, for example. Whether or not you agree, you can see the fanbases build their angles in real-time.

Drake Fans Think Childish Gambino Obsesses Over Drake… And Their Argument Is Very Ironic

A post shared by Akademiks TV (@djakademikstv)

Also, this isn’t the only presumable beef that Childish Gambino possibly ignited on Bando Stone, as some bars on the album seemingly aim at Joe Budden. “They in the minor leagues, but I’m pro-Black / I bet he hate his mom, how you know that? / You got a podcast ’cause you can’t rap / You on some Fresh and Fit s**t, talking body counts / I count a body every time I’m on tracks,” he raps on the cut. Ironically enough, Budden had said last year that Drake would 100% beat Gambino in a rap battle.

Nevertheless, all of these beef assumptions and arguments and all that don’t matter at all, because Childish Gambino probably doesn’t want beef with Drake. We already saw Glover’s relative lack of love for Graham’s Kendrick Lamar beef that popped off earlier this year. Also, for every potential subliminal bar at another MC on Bando Stone, there are three or four other lines that make it clear he doesn’t care about any smoke. So at the end of the day, much like what the Kendrick situation eventually became, this is more about fanbases fighting each other through their favs rather than the artists actually being combative.

Nicki Minaj Stirs Debate Among The Barbz With Possible JT Shade On Stationhead

Nicki Minaj’s Stationhead rants usually contain some interesting allusions to the rap game, which fans often read far too deeply into. Still, some recent comments during her latest session caused debate nonetheless, even if the assumption from many die-hards seems shaky and ill-founded at best, if not wholly salacious at worst. “But you also have to question why a person would go from unliking you to loving you. Isn’t that odd? Well, you don’t say…” the Trinidadian MC said during her livestream, which many took as a possible jab at the City Girls and specifically JT. For those unaware, the duo has a rocky history with Minaj, but one that concluded with a squash a couple of years ago.

In fact, it was just this April that Nicki Minaj brought JT out at one of her concerts alongside a slew of other femcees. As such, there’s not a lot of connective tissue here indicating why she would want smoke with the City Girls now, or what happened recently to provoke this possible shade. Furthermore, the more likely scenario is that the Pink Friday 2 superstar didn’t aim at the Miami rappers at all here. This is probably just a faulty fan interpretation that the Barbz are debating over, but if it’s truly an intentional diss, then many fans expressed their disappointment in seeking this beef out for seemingly no reason.

Nicki Minaj Seemingly Shades JT: Barbz React

Of course, we’ll see if any other information emerges regarding Nicki Minaj and JT that could illuminate this situation. Also, it’s just as likely that Nicki will eventually address this online in more explicit fashion, so we’ll keep our eyes peeled for that. One thing’s for sure, though: the City Girl definitely aimed at specific necks on her new mixtape City Cinderella, and there are no doubts about that. Cardi B and GloRilla seemed to catch strays, but again, that’s just fans’ reading of an overall combative project that doesn’t need specific targets to confront others.

Meanwhile, even when artists are beefing with Nicki Minaj, they recognize that there are other factors at play. Stefflon Don recently reflected on how the Barbz were what she was really angry at back during her short-lived beef with Nicki, not Nicki herself. Still, she regretted dragging Minaj’s name into that situation when she was mostly just reacting to fans hating on her for some Cardi B beef comments. So we’ll see if JT has to defend herself in a similar way or if this is all just hearsay and nothing more.

Childish Gambino Seemingly Disses Drake On New Song “Yoshinoya”

Childish Gambino raps on his new album, Bando Stone and the New World. Not as much as you’d think, though. The artist intersperses bars with sonic experiments and electronic flourishes. “Yoshinoya” is a rare exception to this. The track sees Childish Gambino drop aggressive rhymes over a trunk-rattling instrumental from producer Triangle Park. He takes aim at some undisclosed target in his verses, but fans have been quick to point out clues that suggest the target is in plain sight. The theory is that the rapper is the latest to attack Drizzy Drake.

The biggest piece of evidence to suggest that Childish Gambino is targeting Drake is in the first verse. “I put your boy in the seat. You got your biz’ in the streets,” he raps. “I wash my hands when I eat. I never hand her the key.” The use of the moniker the “Boy,” evokes the nickname that Drake has used over the last decade. Genius even posits Gambino’s wording as a means of schooling the 6 God, hence putting him in a seat (the annotation is, notably, unreviewed). The next few lines have also been theorized to be about Drake. “I don’t know no one BD,” he raps. “But they dependent on me.” “BD” is baby daddy, which technically applies to the Toronto rapper. Drake also scored a hit single in 2023 with “Rich Baby Daddy.”

Childish Gambino And Drake Have Had Issues In The Past

The rest of the song is peppered with slights and comments that could easily apply to Drake. Childish Gambino mentions finding a house “on the app,” which evokes the iconic imagery of Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” diss. The rapper also suggests that his unnamed target has untrustworthy people in his circle. “They plottin’ hard when you slatt,” he spits. “Thеy got a gun in your back. This who you trust when you sleepin’ at night.” There’s even an “AK” bar. “AK not silent like knife,” Childish Gambino raps towards the back end of the verse. The reference applies to a loud firearm, of course, but could just as well apply to DJ Akademiks and the fact that he serves as Drizzy’s mouthpiece.

Childish Gambino and Drake have not had the closest relationship over the years. The latter infamously criticized Gambino’s “This Is America” during a 2018 concert in Chicago. He posted a user comment that read: “The overrated and over awarded hit song ‘This Is America’ was originally a Drake diss record.” It’s also worth noting that fans have compared Childish Gambino’s sound on the new album to Drake. Many social media users have compared Bando Stone and the New World to the 6 God’s recent releases, and there’s definitely similarities. We won’t know if “Yoshinoya” is a diss unless Gambino confirms it, but we know there isn’t love lost between him and Drake.
