Big Sean Unleashes “Anderson Estate Freestyle”: Fans React To The Good, The Bad & The Disses

Big Sean just dropped the “Anderson Estate” freestyle on his social media, building up an upcoming single and album rollout that has fans salivating at the mouth. Moreover, this is a pretty lyrically dense, low-key, and old-school display of skill from him, delivering calm but introspective and reflective bars over a woozy J Dilla flip (from “Drop” by The Pharcyde) from Boi-1da, Leon Thomas, and Jahaan Sweet. Furthermore, it prompted a lot of discussion online around the Detroit MC’s bars, demeanor, next moves, and quality of performance on here. Overall, there was a lot of praise online, further cementing that he no longer represents the corny image that folks had of him when his career was at its commercial peak of visibility.

What’s exciting about the “Anderson Estate” freestyle is that it shows this peak could still be bested by more developed artistry and a consistent effort to be the best. For example, one of the most notable bars on here that fans went wild over was when Big Sean seemed to reference Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and J. Cole. “I think where I lack most as an artist is consistency / I just haven’t had the energy to compete with enemies,” he spits on the cut. “Or y’all so-called bigger three / But every verse I lay, fans love to say, ‘Man, n****s is sleep!’”

Of course, a lot of fans also had more critical reactions to this freestyle. After all, Big Sean was one of the names that people brought up the most in a viral Twitter discussion over the worst bars of all time recently. Regardless, this new freestyle shows that he’s clearly come a long way since, and while it doesn’t remove issues with his style, it points to confidence and development in his abilities. Big Sean Seemingly Takes Shots At Drake, Kendrick Lamar, And J. Cole On New Freestyle

Big Sean is someone who fans are always looking forward to hearing from. Overall, he is considered to be one of the best rappers in the game right now. However, he doesn’t always get the same respect as guys like Drake, Kendrick Lamar, or even J. Cole. In a competitive genre like rap, this can be a frustrating thing to experience, and while Sean has downplayed these frustrations, they most certainly exist. We know this because he just dropped a new freestyle where he makes mention of the “bigger three.”

“I think where I lack most as an artist is consistency/ I just haven’t had the energy to compete with enemies,” he raps on the song. “Or y’all so-called bigger three/ But every verse I lay, fans love to say, ‘Man, n****s is sleep!’” As you will hear, this mention of the “Big Three” is done over a tinkered-with version of J Dilla’s “Drop” beat for The Pharcyde. It is the perfect canvas for Sean to get these bars off, and it’s clear that he is hungrier than ever to show the world what he can do.

Sean eventually goes on to talk about how he helped Kanye West record Graduation. “Back when you was a fly on the wall/ And dropped out of school to help Ye finish up Graduation/ Back when you hit your first celebrity crush and realized/ There’s badder girls back at home waiting, they just ain’t as famous,” he says on the song. New music from Sean is coming soon, and we’re sure fans are excited to experience it. Hopefully, he drops sooner rather than later.

Latto & Yung Miami Party To Former’s Alleged Ice Spice Diss In The Club

There’s nothing quite like hearing a hit song blaring over the speakers and looking over to see the artist who made the song partying to it along with you. Moreover, that’s exactly what folks at a strip club witnessed when Latto came into the venue, accompanied by City Girls member Yung Miami. They threw stacks of cash and rapped along to the former’s 2024 hit “Sunday Service,” and many folks took particular note of Caresha being alongside the 777 artist. That’s because a lot of people see this track as a marker of loyalty, given that many fans think that it’s a pointed diss towards Ice Spice.

Furthermore, the “cold war” between her and Latto’s been a hot topic of conversation for some time now, with things really becoming a narrative this year. Their back-and-forth singles (which fans think included subliminals at each other), plus some apparent references in their promotion, led many to believe there’s animosity between them. Whether or not there actually are any issues with Ice Spice doesn’t matter, because that’s the marketing and public narrative that both the artists and the fans are running with right now. As such, this is a myth becoming reality in a pretty weird way.

Latto Seems To Earn Yung Miami’s Loyalty In Ice Spice Feud As They Party To “Sunday Service”

Of course, it’s entirely possible that this feud between Latto and Ice Spice is legit, and not just the product of misogynistic PR wanting to pit femcees against each other. But Yung Miami’s inclusion in all this is curious, because if fans’ conspiracy theories are to be believed, then the Nicki Minaj affiliate through JT should in theory be a Spice supporter. But it goes to show that things are never that simple, and that no artist should be immediately prohibited from fraternizing with another based on petty competition or narratives. Also, the City Girl’s got other fish to fry in the beef section.

Meanwhile, it seems like the “Put It On Da Floor” lyricist is having a lot of fun as of late, as she also enjoyed a club outing with Rubi Rose. Maybe they’ll collab again in the future and we can add more weaving webs in this femcee beef universe. Or just, you know, focus on the competitive releases and the artistry itself. Either way, for more news and updates on Latto, Yung Miami, and Ice Spice, log back into HNHH.

Kanye West Addresses Boosie Badazz Diss, Takes “No Responsibility” For His Music

Kanye West is certainly no stranger to stirring up controversy, and his latest Big Boy TV interview was no exception. During the conversation, which also included Ty Dolla Sign, Ye claimed that he’s behind the past two decades of music in one way or another. Of course, plenty of viewers disagreed with his take, and took to social media to chime in.

“I invented every style of music of the past 20 years, I created the genre. I created Weeknd’s genre. Trav, Drake, everybody. I’mma go ahead and say with all love, Future and Thug also because the auto-tune album, 808s,” he explained. “Everybody thinks about Trav, Weeknd, and Drake but no one thinks about Future and Thug also. The auto-tune album. Now everyone, they added whatever it was to it. But here’s a new genre. It’s called making your own money genre. This music is called, like, take that middle man out.”

Kanye West Claps Back At Boosie Badazz

Shortly after the interview dropped, Boosie Badazz hopped on Instagram to share his take, claiming that Ye is in no way responsible for his music. “NOT ALL GENRES NOT EVERY STYLE,” he said. “NOT BOOSIE MUSIC. YOU CAN’T RELATE TO NOTHING I RAP ABOUT R YOUR MUSIC. NOBODY LISTENS TO KANYE IN THE PROJECTS R THE TRENCHES IM, A GON HEAD N SAY IT ‘ MY PEOPLE DO NOT RELATE TO YOU.’” Now, Ye has responded, and thrown a bit of shade in the process.

“I JUST SAW THAT ‘WIPE ME DOWN’ WAS MADE IN 2007,” he wrote on his Instagram Story today. “I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR WHATEVER THAT GENRE WOULD BE CALLED.” Clearly, Ye didn’t appreciate Boosie calling him out, and only time will tell whether or not he’ll fire back again. What do you think of Kanye West claiming to have “invented” the past 20 years of music? What about Boosie’s response? Future Supports Gunna In Tweet But Then Deletes It, Disses “Rats” In Snippet

Future and Gunna used to be pretty frequent collaborators, but just like with every other MC in the mainstream game, that relationship soured following the latter’s plea deal in the YSL RICO case, bringing about accusations of snitching. However, it seems like he’s starting to re-enter the rap world and its higher echelons following a highly successful 2023. Moreover, Wunna released his new single “Prada Dem” this week, which is a collaboration with Offset. Turns out that this might be more of a contentious, consequential, and possibly door-opening collab than what we originally thought.

Furthermore, Future actually co-signed Gunna’s new song, taking to Twitter earlier this week to promote “Prada Dem” (interestingly, he only tagged Offset). Yet shortly after, he deleted this message from his social media, leading many differing fanbases and opinions to either lament, celebrate, or criticize this move. It’s a tad ironic that this is still a prevailing narrative because the Drip Season rapper actually denies claims of being a rat on this new single. “I set the trend, I’m a trendsetter/ I’m not a rat, still getting cheddar,” he raps on the cut, something that his “pushin p” collaborator might not agree with.

Future Tweets & Deletes Support For Gunna

Not only is this assessment due to this tweet and delete, but it’s also due to a recent snippet that Future posted titled “Type S**t.” It’s rumored to be a collab with Metro Boomin, Travis Scott, and Playboi Carti that might land on Metro Pluto’s upcoming two albums or on Carti’s new material. That part is a bit unclear because of how everyone involved has teased the song, as well as the producer’s earlier claim that his Fewtch collab projects (or maybe just one of them) won’t have features. The reason why this is relevant here is due to some bars that people think might target folks like Gunna.

Tia Kemp Drags Cristina Mackey For “Bouncing” To BossMan Dlow

It’s certainly no secret that Tia Kemp and Cristina Mackey don’t get along, and unfortunately, the latter’s recent split from Rick Ross has done little to squash their beef. Recently, for example, Kemp took to social media to throw some shade Mackey’s way over one of her latest TikToks. In said TikTok, Mackey dances and rhymes along to BossMan Dlow’s song, “Finesse.”

Clearly, Kemp wasn’t a fan of the video at all, and promptly hopped online to send Mackey a message. “Stop comparing me to people, bro,” she begins. “Girl, if you don’t stop bouncing to my motherf*ckin’ beat…” Kemp didn’t stop there, however.

Tia Kemp Goes After Cristina Mackey’s Appearance

“It’s my motherf*ckin’ motion right now,” she also added. “You have none. You have none. I gave you a big back b*tch that you thought you could keep.” Kemp then went on to drag Mackey for her appearance, going after her haircut and claiming the two of them look nothing alike. “You don’t look like me,” she said. “You don’t. If I had 15 daughters right now, none of them would come out with a f*cking forehead that’s unproportionate.” She even brought Mackey’s niece into her rant, making some unsavory remarks about her look too.

Luckily, it doesn’t seem as though Mackey has been letting Kemp’s criticism get to her too much. Earlier this month, she appeared pretty cool, calm and collected when responding to the mother-of-one calling her various names. According to Mackey, she stands by what she says and does, and is a strong believer in karma. What do you think of Tia Kemp’s latest roast of Cristina Mackey? What about Rick Ross’ most recent ex rhyming along to BossMan Dlow on TikTok? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Drake Hilariously Responds To Kanye West Diss With Iconic 50 Cent Meme

Drake and Kanye West have been embroiled in a feud for quite some time. Although they seemingly squashed the beef a few years back, it seems like the truce was short-lived. Drizzy has thrown subliminals at Ye over the last couple of years, and on Monday, West launched a huge rant that included Drake. In fact, during this rant, Kanye took shots at Adidas and the fashion industry at large. It was a very passionate paragraph that ended with some shots at Drake, who took Lil Durk with him on tour.

“That’s how I feel And it’s fuck Drake for taking Durk right at the beginning of the Vultures role out I’ll come back to yall if I think of more fuck you’s,” Ye said. The Canadian megastar clearly saw this callout as he took to his Instagram story yesterday with a response. Instead of addressing Ye directly, he decided to refer to what was said. Below, you can see that he posted the iconic 50 Cent meme in which the artist says “what he say f*ck me for?” It was a nice subtle response that shows how the artist isn’t too pressed right now.

Drake Claps Back

On any given day, there is a chance that you wake up to a new rant from Kanye. That has been true for decades at this point, and his targets have learned to just accept it. This wasn’t the first time Ye has gone after Drake and it probably won’t be the last. You just have to learn to go with the flow and understand that tomorrow, Kanye will probably feel differently than he did today.

Let us know your thoughts on this entire situation, in the comments section down below. Do you think Drake and Kanye will ever be on good terms with one another? Jack Antonoff Doubles Down On Kanye West Diss: “[He] Just Needs His Diaper Changed”

Jack Antonoff is continuing to diss Kanye West. Speaking with the Los Angeles Times for a new interview, the record producer reaffirmed his opinion that Ye is a “b*tch” and added that he “just needs his diaper changed so badly.”

As for whether he would ever collaborate with the rapper, Antonoff remarked: “It’s been a long time since I would’ve taken Kanye’s call. I’m so incredibly bored when someone doesn’t have the sauce anymore, so they go elsewhere to shock. It’s just a remarkable waste of space.”

The topic of West arose while speaking on Antonoff’s relationship with Taylor Swift. “I’m a little b*tch sometimes,” he admitted to the outlet. “But you come after my friend Taylor, you’re toast to me.” He added that questioning Swift’s talent “is like challenging someone’s faith in God. You just don’t go there.” He also spoke about defending Swift amid criticism from Blur frontman Damon Albarn back in 2022. Albarn had accused Swift of not writing her own songs, but later apologized for the comments. Check out Antonoff’s tweet calling West a “little cry baby b*tch” below.

Charlamagne Tha God Denies DJ Akademiks Diss Allegations: Watch

Charlamagne Tha God has been a force in radio far longer than many realize, which is precisely why he’s so confident sharing his opinions on others and demanding his flowers. Earlier this week, a resurfaced snippet from an episode of Brilliant Idiots caused some debate online as the media personality referred to others occupying the same spaces in the years after his come-up as his “sons.” Specifically, the internet believes Tha God is referring to DJ Akademiks, host of the Off the Record podcast and known for beefing with femcees publicly.

“How did y’all come to the conclusion I was talking about Akademiks, though?” the South Carolina native asked co-hosts Jess Hilarious and DJ Envy on The Breakfast Club yesterday (February 27). “Well, last year [he] publicly called out you, Wallo, and Gillie and said that y’all are avoiding his podcast, acting brand new or whatever,” the show’s newest addition argued. “That was a year ago,” Charlamagne shot back, clearly not holding onto the past. “Let’s just face it, and say what it is,” Hilarious replied before dissing Ak and his “smell a** basement.”

Rather than feed into the pettiness, the father of four told his pregnant co-host to “cut it out.” Defending himself, Tha God added, “I was just talking. Like, when Nicki Minaj says, ‘All these b**ches is my sons,’ do we say she’s talking to one person?” He might not have satisfied Hilarious and Envy with his answer, but Charlamagne sure did have listeners laughing.

Elsewhere in the news, DJ Akademiks has once again found himself at war with Yung Miami online. According to the controversial podcaster, the City Girl is to blame for Diddy’s bombshell lawsuit from Cassie, not to mention all the chaos that’s ensued in the time since.
