Soulja Boy Threatens Complex Media With Defamation Lawsuit

Soulja Boy has threatened to sue Complex after taking issue with the media outlet claiming that “nearly everything” the rapper owns is fake. Soulja was named in the headline of an article about celebrities reportedly caught wearing fake designer labels. “Fuck Complex and fuck Complex Music. Y’all gon post on your page talking about Soulja Boy some shit I don’t know — everything he own is fake or some shit. I’m suing y’all n-ggas [for] defamation of character, bro. I went on Complex and bought shit for y’all. How the fuck is y’all on your platform trying to discredit me. But it’s all good. It ain’t nothing but a hater whoever run that page is a muthafuckin’ hater. But you gonna get the whole Complex sued for playing with my name, n-gga.

Furthermore, Soulja continued. “I ain’t bought nothing fake in my whole life. Fuck you talking about, n-gga? Even in that picture y’all showed I was wearing a $10,000 Gucci bandana, a $40,000 Superman chain. What is y’all talking about? $50,000 right there. Complex you some hoes. Soulja Boy’s Ex Seeks Alternate Streams Of Revenue To Pay Settlement

However, Soulja might not want to speak too loudly about his drip being legit. The rapper’s ex, Kayla Meyers, recently filed a petition seeking new revenue streams from Soulja Boy as she seeks the fulfillment of a $500,000 settlement she won against the rapper in 2020. Soulja Boy was never criminally charged on counts of assault and kidnapping. However, a civil court eventually awarded Meyers $500,000. After Soulja Boy claimed earlier this year that he did not have the assets to pay the outstanding amount, Meyer has petitioned to receive the income from his royalties, his Twitch streaming revenue, and even the profits from this weed business.

Earlier this month, Soulja Boy was ordered to surrender his three cars as well as jewelry and cash over $1000. This came after he testified that he did not have the assets to pay off his outstanding debt. According to court testimony, Soulja does not own the house he lives in and owes the IRS over $1 million. The court is yet to rule on whether these new revenue streams proposed will be accepted. However, based on this week’s precedents, it will be more than likely that they will be.

Lil Tay’s Father Threatens To Sue For Defamation After He Is Accused Of Faking Social Media Star’s Death

Lil Tay was involved in a very bizarre death hoax just last month. Overall, the reports of her death were extremely shocking. Fans could not believe that the 14-year-old was dead, especially given how suddenly it was all reported. However, over the coming days, the story began to unravel and it was revealed that she did not die. Instead, someone had conjured up this very weird hoax that fans began investigating. So far, there is still no concrete evidence in regard to who did it.

However, today, a post from Lil Tay’s Instagram account suggested that it was her father who had something to do with this. Overall, it was a wild accusation that stunned quite a few people. Furthermore, the post detailed how Christopher J. Hope is allegedly a misogynist woman beater who is also racist and abusive to his children. According to TMZ, Hope has responded to the posts, claiming that he intends to sue whoever is responsible for defamation. He also denied any wrongdoing.

Lil Tay’s Father Speaks

“The person who is responsible for that Instagram post, as well as anyone repeating the completely false and libelous accusation within it, are virtually certain to become defendants in a defamation lawsuit,” Hope said. “Everything stated is 100% false, and I trust that this should be obvious to anyone who knows me or the long history of absurd and untrue statements made by the various people who have controlled the Instagram account.” Needless to say, Hope is livid at these allegations. That said, no one actually knows who is running the account and who made the post.

This is a developing story that doesn’t seem to be seeing much progression towards the truth of what really happened. Tasha K Clarifies Cardi B Claims, Asks Her To Reconsider Her Approach

Cardi B isn’t letting up in her legal battle against Tasha K one bit, which has driven the blogger to a place of desperation and ridicule. Moreover, she recently took to Twitter to clarify some claims that people think she made about the Bronx MC. Specifically, these relate to some aspects of the defamation lawsuit that Bardi won against Tasha. In addition, she also tried to reason with her and explain that she simply doesn’t have the money to pay her debts, and that she’s working with the court to do so as promptly and effectively as possible.

Regardless, it seems like Tasha K’s efforts have been to little avail, as Cardi B continues her crusade against her. “You want me out my home, broke, & my kids to not attend college!” Tasha tweeted on Thursday (September 14). “Your lawyers only continue to bill you 100k plus a week, looking for money we don’t have! But I can get it. Over time. Your lawyers have collected the 4 million that’s owed to you by simply making you pay for it by keeping you in litigation due to your lack of education.”

Tasha K’s Lengthy Defense & Another Apology To Cardi B

Furthermore, the social media star pointed attention to the fact that this fight in court only drains money from their pockets and gives it all to the lawyers. Apparently, the value that Tasha K wants to instill in the 30-year-old the most is patience. Also, she took issue with how this whole dilemma is something that Cardi B actively seeks throughout her career. It’s been a big part of her media and blog presence, all at the expense of the blogger, according to her. Still, Tasha ended her message with another apology to the rapper.

“Sincerely I apologize for any harm caused to you and your family!” she wrote. “Me & the courts are attempting to work out a payment plan, but if you want the FULL amount paid in cash. Call a production company to film all of this and you take the money made from it and put this behind us! Cause nothing will stop me from doing what I love & hopefully nothing will stop you as well!” For more news and the latest updates on Cardi B and Tasha K, log back into HNHH.

ASAP Rocky & His Lawyer Sued By ASAP Relli For Defamation

It looks like the seemingly paused legal case between A$AP Rocky and A$AP Relli just got a huge reopening. For those unaware, the latter sued the former for allegedly shooting him in 2021, a civil case that they paused in December of last year. Moreover, now Relli sued Rocky again, but this time for defamation, and also added his lawyer Joe Tacopina as a defendant according to legal docs reportedly obtained by TMZ. Specifically, the ASAP Mob member claims that the attorney defamed him during a campaign defending the New York rapper. Not only that, but he claims that the father of two directed Tacopina to portray Relli as a cash-hungry, deceitful extortionist.

“Rocky didn’t commit a crime,” Tacopina said of ASAP Rocky’s alleged shooting in an article reportedly cited by this new suit. “It was an extortion attempt by a former associate, who threatened to make false, criminal accusations if Rocky didn’t pay him.” Furthermore, ASAP Relli wants an unspecified amount in damages in this case, as he stated he received death threats and online harassment due to what he claims are lies about him and the shooting. The “RIOT” MC pled not guilty in the case.

“This is actually nothing more than a publicity stunt which is going to backfire badly,” ASAP Rocky’s lawyer told TMZ. “I more than welcome this lawsuit especially because the resolution of the criminal case has not happened yet. This opens up this extortionist to depositions under oath now before the resolution of the criminal case. It will expose the fraud he committed and unfortunately for his lawyers, it will cause them to be responsible for legal fees in this case.

“They don’t know the facts of this case or the actions taken by their client,” he continued. “But I will be more than happy to educate them.” This further complicated an already murky legal battle, and reopened it in the public eye. We’ll see if anything significant comes from this, and if it actually ends up resolving the present shooting debacle. On that note, stay posted on HNHH for the latest news and updates on ASAP Rocky and ASAP Relli’s lawsuits.

T.I. And Tiny Seek $165K From Woman Who Accused Rapper Of Threatening To Kill Her

Back in 2021, a former friend of T.I. and Tiny’s, Sabrina Peterson, sued the couple for defamation. She had alleged that T.I. threatened her with a gun after she got into an argument with his assistant, telling her “b*tch I’ll kill you.” She went on to accuse the couple of assaulting “over 100 women,” who she claimed were ready to come forward. Peterson additionally tried to promote the hashtag “Surviving T.I.” on social media.

After she made those claims, Peterson alleged that the duo defamed her on the internet, after Tiny made a post about her son. “Hold up …. So you want your abuser to train your son … now when did you say my husband assaulted you? Did you change your mind or change it back? What’s up wit you today Pooh? I’m confused. Stop harassing my family. You strange. Everybody know you been special. Please Get help,” the post reads. She further accused the couple of trashing her reputation with additional social media posts.

T.I. later responded to the lawsuit by arguing that the posts shared on social media were only opinions. He further claimed that her reputation wasn’t the best to begin with. They demanded that the lawsuit be dropped, which was initially denied. Earlier this month, however, the court’s decision was reversed, and a majority of the causes of action were dropped.

Now, T.I. and Tiny are seeking $164,650 from Peterson to cover their legal fees. “The Harrises’ request for $164,650.56 in attorneys’ fees and costs is reasonable and in line with fee awards regularly affirmed in this district,” their lawyer claims. “Given the complexity of the legal issues, the time necessary to adjudicate Peterson’s seven causes of action over a two-year period, and the additional costs of appeal, the amount requested should be awarded in full.” The case is ongoing, with two out of seven causes of action remaining. Keep an eye on HNHH for more updates on T.I. and Tiny.

Tasha K Offers To Pay Cardi B Just $200k Of 4 Million Owed

The Tasha K and Cardi B drama has been going on for years at this point. After a defamation suit spawned from the now disgraced blogger spreading lies about Cardi online, she was ordered to pay the rapper nearly $4 million. But the fight to get the money she’s owed hasn’t been easy. Earlier this year, Tasha K filed for bankruptcy at which point her debts weren’t forgiven, but Cardi was informed that she had to stop her pursuit of them temporarily. That erupted into an ongoing saga of legal maneuvers that’s lasted all year.

Back in April, Cardi B first began pursuing ways to get her money. After she first attempted to seize assets from Tasha, she later was limited to collecting checks from the Blogger’s YouTube channel in the meantime. A month later as the vast majority of the debt still hadn’t been paid Tasha K officially filed for bankruptcy. As a result Cardi’s ability to collect on the debt owed to her was paused. In the following months Tasha K was making headlines for her continued beefs with other figures like Tina Knowles, Wack 100, and Sukihana. In July, Cardi once again reignited the lawsuit flame.

Since July Cardi B has requested an audit of Tasha K to make sure that she is eventually paid what she’s owed. After Tasha maintained that she “does not have the ability to pay” Cardi doubled down. She made another request that the court force the blogger to pay up despite her bankruptcy. That was the last update to the story until now. Recently, Tasha offered Cardi a fraction of what she is fully owed.

Tasha K says she can pay just $220k of the $4 million she owes to Cardi B. Unsurprisingly, Cardi and her legal team have rejected the proposal. They’re continuing to seek out the full original legal judgement. What do you think of Tasha K’s offer to settle her debut with Cardi B? Let us know in the comment section below.

DJ Envy Hits Tony Robinson With Defamation Suit

DJ Envy has filed a defamation suit against Tony Robinson in relation to Envy’s many real estate lawsuits. Robinson is a former college football player who played one game as a scab for the then-Washington Redskins during the 1987 NFL Player’s Strike. Per The Shade Room, Envy has accused Robinson of “publicly and maliciously spread false claims” about him on social media. According to the suit, Robinson has claimed that Envy is a “thief”, a “scammer”, and running a “Ponzi scheme”.

Per the suit, Envy accuses Robinson of illegally recording a phone conversation in which the one-time quarterback attempts to get Envy to admit to his alleged wrongdoing. Envy is seeking an unspecified amount of punitive damages in the case. This is all in relation to an alleged real estate scam that Envy has been accused of. Anthony Barone and Anthony Martini claim that Envy and two others defrauded them out of $1.5 million in investment for an apartment complex that never came to be. The two men claim they invested in two real estate companies associated with Envy, who never followed through on the project.

However, those are just some of the claims that have been made against Envy. He is also accused of utilizing investments to buy properties in New Jersey. He is accused of later undervaluing these properties before flipping them or renting them out. The Breakfast Club host has denied these allegations and filed a motion to dismiss the suit with prejudice. Furthermore, Envy has claimed that he is also a victim of fraud. He claims to have lost $500,000 in a separate project with his accused partners. The trio of Envy and Cesar and Jennifer Pinas were reportedly working to renovate a school into an apartment complex.

The trio is due back in court on September 8 in order to try and seek a solution. Meanwhile, Robinson appears confidant about the defamation. Speaking in the comments of The Shade Room post, Robinson accepted Envy’s challenge. “Let’s get to it,” Robinson wrote. “Raashaun has 8-10 new lawsuits people making claims on fraud this too easy!.” However, this is a developing story and we’ll have any updates here at HotNewHipHop.

Tasha K Maintains That She “Does Not Have The Ability” To Pay Cardi B In Court

Tasha K has a tough road ahead of her when it comes to her lost defamation lawsuit from Cardi B. With a $4 million payout, the blogger filed for bankruptcy as the rapper tried to audit her income to see how she could pay damages, while Tasha wants to work out a payment plan. Moreover, during a hearing in bankruptcy court as reported by Radar Online, Tasha claimed that she “does not have the ability” to pay Cardi the $4 million. Of course, many different factors could contribute to this inability, considering her income as a social media content creator. Another important aspect that hinders her pockets are her outstanding tax debts to the IRS, with separate debts of $150,000 and $30,000.

Furthermore, Tasha K filed for bankruptcy back in May, a month after a judge ruled that Cardi B could seize her property in her debt collection. At the moment, it’s unclear how much more Tasha owes her, considering that Cardi already took some of her YouTube checks. Regardless, Tasha filed with $95 in her checking account, and recently claimed her assets total around $59,000. This includes a $47,000 Chevy Silverado with a $53,000 financing lien and other assets totaling $12,000.

Still, this story also saw some turns as a result of Tasha K’s bankruptcy, with Cardi B pausing debt collection soon after she filed. However, it seems like things aren’t so amicable anymore considering the Bronx MC’s audit of the blogger. All this is also made more contentious and spicy by the incredibly sarcastic and backhanded apology that Tasha recently gave to Bardi stans online. It didn’t help her ongoing legal battle, but once that wraps up, we’re sure that the social media war will probably continue just as it always has.

“I’m so sorry for distracting yall queen!” she wrote on Instagram. “Between me & the surgeons we owe y’all a huge apology. Atlantic refuses to give her any money to produce a second album because they took such a loss on her first album that she is now stating to promote 6 years later. Again, I’m so sorry. It’s all my fault.” For more news and the latest updates on Cardi B and Tasha K, stay up to date on HNHH.

Donald Trump Responds To Second Defamation Case By Digging Himself Deeper

Just a few weeks ago, a jury found Donald Trump guilty of sexually abusing magazine writer E. Jean Carroll during the 1990s. The verdict was reached in a civil case, coming at a time when the former President is gearing up for the 2024 election. In addition to the sexual abuse verdict, the jury concluded that Trump had defamed Carroll by publicly calling her a liar. The jury deliberated for three hours following an eight-day trial. As a result of the verdict, the court ordered Trump to pay $5 million in damages to Carroll.

The charges on which Trump was found guilty stem from an incident in the 90s. Carroll made allegations against Trump, claiming that he sexually assaulted her in the dressing room of a Bergdorf Goodman store in New York City. When Carroll went public with her account in 2019, Trump denied the accusation. At the time, he commented, “She’s not my type.” However, during the trial, evidence was presented to demonstrate that Carroll does fit Trump’s “type.” Attorneys showed a video of Trump’s deposition where he mistakenly identified Carroll as his former wife, Marla Maples. Since then, Trump has continued to defame the victim, leading to another defamation lawsuit.

Trump’s Troublesome Tweets

Donald Trump has had a history of going through numerous lawyers over the years. In some cases, they eventually turn against him. It seems that the former president’s current legal team must be growing frustrated with him. Recently, a new defamation lawsuit was filed against Trump. The suit was filed by E. Jean Carroll’s legal team, following his previous defamatory remarks. It also followed the verdict of a jury finding him guilty of defamation and sexual misconduct. Rather than refraining from further defamatory statements, Trump chose to repeat the same lines that have already resulted in two lawsuits against him. This has likely caused much dismay amongst his legal team.

“I don’t know E. Jean Carroll, I never met her or touched her (except on a celebrity line with her African American husband who she disgustingly called the ‘Ape’),” Trump posted on Truth Social. “I wouldn’t want to know or touch her, I never abused her or raped her or took her to a dressing room 25 years ago in a crowded department store where the doors are LOCKED, she has no idea when, or did anything else to her, except deny her Fake, Made Up Story, that she wrote in a book. IT NEVER HAPPENED, IS A TOTAL SCAM, UNFAIR TRIAL!” Trump, as always, went on to blame Democrats at large for the trial. Stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news on Trump and the many lawsuits against him.

Nicki Minaj Prepares Expert Witness In Defamation Case

The jury trial between Nicki Minaj and blogger Marley Green is drawing ever closer. Minaj is seeking $75,000 in damages for what the rapper claims are defamatory statements from Green about Minaj’s purported use of narcotics. The lawsuit was originally filed in September 2022.

More specifically, Minaj’s case claims that Green is behind the “noseyheauxlive” social media handle, which has previously claimed that Minaj has used cocaine in the past. Furthermore, the account has also referred to Minaj as a “coke head”. Green’s full statement allegedly reads, ““shoving all this cocaine, shoving in all this cocaine up her nose. Allegedly. Thank you. Allegedly. But we all know it’s true. “F*ck, listen, I can’t even say allegedly with that ’cause I—we all know it’s true. I’m not saying allegedly on that. Nicki Minaj is a cokehead.” Additionally, Green had also previously made statements about Minaj’s son but has since apologized for those comments. However, she denies making defamatory statements about Minaj’s use of drugs.

Minaj Anticiaptes Use Of Expert Witness

According to AllHipHop, Minaj will present an expert witness to testify on the negative impact of Green’s social media posts. This also stems from claims by Minaj’s attorney that Green has been acting as a “proxy” for one of Minaj’s musical rivals. The nature and identity of this “expert witness” has not been made public at this time. There have been no reports of what Green’s defense entails.

While Green has not officially made a statement about the lawsuit and impending trial, the noseyheauxlive Twitter account has. “Nicki Minaj is unhinged and harassing me on Instagram. She doxxed me and sent her barbz to threaten to kill me. She’s been commenting under my IG posts since like 24 hours ago. No one around her is smart enough to just take her phone,” read a September 2022 post. While no trial date has been set as of yet, joint counsel conferences have estimated the trial will last three days. Any updates on Nicki Minaj’s defamation case will be here on HotNewHipHop.
