Kaytranada Clarifies Beyonce Criticism After Fans Come For Him On Social Media

Kaytranada has spoken out on social media after his claim about Beyonce lowballing him for a collaboration request. He has been facing the wrath of the singer’s fanbase on social media after saying in an interview with Vulture that she wanted the rights to his remix of “Cuff It.” He remarked to the outlet: “Sometimes people don’t see your worth and how important you are. I know what I mean to people.”

In a since-deleted post on X (formerly Twitter), he clarified: “Mannnn I didn’t drag her that’s just what happened. The remix didn’t get a release and it is what it is but later that year I opened [for] her on tour AND on her Bday on top of that. Now what? I love that girl & y’all ain’t gonna make me look like I ain’t rocking with her.”

It’s not the first time Kaytranada has revealed that a high-profile collaboration fell through. Speaking with Montreality for a previous interview, he explained that Drake requested he work on Honestly, Nevermind, but it never came to fruition. “I met Drake in L.A. one time, and that was it, really. At one point, one of his boys was like, ‘Your boy wants some beats. He’s gonna do a house album.’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, sure, hit me up.’ That’s my thing: anybody that wanna work with me, just hit me up. Maybe my reaction rubbed them the wrong way, but I was just saying, ‘Hey, if you’re serious, hit me up, let’s work, for real.’”

Clearly, Sexyy Red doesn’t mess around when it comes to her kids, and doesn’t appreciate critics questioning her parenting skills. After all, being a famous rapper and a mother of two isn’t easy, which she admitted earlier this month.

She opened up about having her second child after “Get It Sexyy” was certified gold, revealing that she struggled with postpartum depression. “The night get it sexyy was made I was goin thru a lot just had my baby felt depressed and was goin thru postpartum,” she shared. “My team in Miami would leave me in the studio to write songs & I would just b in there crying thinkin about life.” Luckily, she went back to her hometown of St. Louis to be with family, which helped cheer her up. YG Fires Back Amid Compton Peace Walk Criticism

Earlier this week, YG led a peace walk in his hometown of Compton, joined by several rival gang members. Treetop Pirus and Fruit Town Pirus members, who’ve been at odds for years, were both in attendance. This was the rapper’s attempt to promote peace and unity in his community.

“We came together. My hood and the Fruit Town Pirus across the street, we’ve been at war for, like, the last 10 years. We just enemies. So I felt like we all needed to come together and walk down our main street,” he told TMZ of the event. “We all from Piru so we don’t really need to be beefing with each other. We’ve been doing that sh*t for years so it’s time to like… if we can clean it, clean it up. There’s been a lot of conversations about that sh*t so I put some energy towards it and we got it right… It’s successful. All love and positive. We outside.”

YG Compares Himself To MLK

Clearly, YG was trying to do something positive here, but unfortunately, not everyone saw it that way. Wack’s comments were a response to reports that Victory Lap, Nipsey’s last album, has officially surpassed one billion streams on Spotify.

While Nipsey’s fanbase certainly agrees with Wack, some have taken the opportunity to call the music manager out. Tyler, The Creator Wants To Apologize To Eminem For His Initial Harsh Criticism Of “Recovery”

Tyler, The Creator and Eminem have a bit of a complicated relationship with one another. Growing up, the former was a huge fan of the latter. In fact, he cites him as one of his influences for getting into hip-hop. During this new interview with Maverick Carter via his show, Mavericks with Mav Carter on YouTube, Tyler talks about how the Detroit legend taught him the basics. “I love Eminem. That dude taught me how to rap. I learned how to put words together in rhythm because of some of the Eminem stuff I was hearing and storytelling and things like that”. While this adoration still remains true, as we learn later in this chat, the last several years would have you thinking otherwise.

One of Em’s biggest supporters has been uber critical over the last several years of his records, especially toward the end of the 2010s. The Death of Slim Shady MC also respected Tyler when he started getting to the industry, so when he heard these digs, Em felt bothered and hurt. It led him to eventually diss the multi-hyphenate on “Fall” which is on his Kamikaze record. Since that time, it seems these two have been pretty silent on each other up until today. After essentially just growing up and being more understanding, Tyler feels really awful and guilty for what he’s said. He specifically cites his initial harsh dismissal of Recovery, one of Em’s most personal records to date.

Tyler, The Creator & Eminem Have Not Always Been On The Best Terms

Tyler credits the Netlfix series Painkillers for helping him realize how unfair he was being to someone who was battling a lot to put out a project like that. “When [Recovery] came out I f——g hated it. Publicly was like, ‘This s*** is wack.’ Didn’t like it and after watching [Painkillers] I felt so bad about those tweets and things like that because thinking from his perspective someone like me publicly saying that stuff and him off drugs and being clean and getting to a point in life where that’s behind him and me implying, ‘Nah, this s–t is wack’”. Later, he adds, “He probably felt like I was attacking him. I thought I was just like, ‘I don’t like the music.’ He was in a different part of his life and probably felt like I was attacking him. Now I feel so bad about saying that stuff because my perspective was so limited”.

Towards the end of the discussion, Tyler hopes that him and Em can meet so he can personally apologize. “I felt terrible. If I ever see him, I want to tell him that in-person”. Kehlani is coming under fire on social media for posing for a photo with Chris Brown, who labeled her his “twin” while sharing the picture online. Fans brought up the past allegations Brown has faced, including his infamous domestic violence case with Rihanna. Additionally, Brown once criticized Kehlani after they attempted suicide back in 2016.
