Summer Smash 2024 in Chicago, Lyrical Lemonade’s star-studded music festival taking place on June 14, 15, and 16, is building up to be one of the biggest and best hip-hop lineups you’ll see this year. Leading the charge is Cactus Jack on Friday, with Travis Scott, Don Toliver, WondaGurl, Sheck Wes, SoFaygo, Chase B, and Luxury Tax uniting for the label’s first-ever collaborative performance. Playboi Carti will bring his show-stopping rage on Saturday, and for him and La Flame, this marks a rare and sole festival performance in North America for 2024 at press time. Last but certainly not least, Chief Keef will headline in his home city for the first time in a decade on Sunday, marking one of the biggest rap homecomings in recent memory.

Travis Scott, for example, just performed at the Mercedes-Benz showcase, and will likely bring even more of that luxurious and larger-than-life energy at Summer Smash. Playboi Carti seems no closer to dropping his new album, but the hype for it hasn’t died down one bit, either. As for Sosa, even though Chief Keef has delayed Almighty So 2 multiple times, he remains as beloved as ever and still fed fans with his DIRTY NACHOS tape.

Kid Cudi To Perform At Second Weekend Of Coachella

Kid Cudi has been enjoying a lot of well-earned success in the year of 2024. The Cleveland, Ohio multi-hyphenate helped bring some massive hype back to the genre at the beginning of the year. He dropped INSANO, his pushed back but still eagerly awaited album that a fair number of bangers. Then, just about a month later he delivered on his promise of a second set of tracks called INSANO (NITRO MEGA). That saw him go back to more familiar sounds from Scott Mescudi that we have come to appreciate him for. Additionally, the multi-talent is living up to that title, as he will have a role in the new Sonic the Hedgehog spin-off Paramount+ series called Knuckles.

According to multiple sources, he will play Agent Mason in the Sonic villain’s dedicated show. It is said to premiere on the streaming platform on April 26, 2024. So yes, Kid Cudi has a lot going on, but he can also add Coachella to that list now. The music and arts festival announced it just yesterday and he will be performing on the last day, which is Sunday April 21.

According to the schedule that Cudi reposted to his Instagram, he will be hitting the stage from 5:10 to 5:50. “INSANO BOY IS COMIN ,” Kid Cudi wrote. More specifically, it will take place at the Sahara Tent and he wants to know, “Who’s coming??” There is no clear indication on who he is replacing, but fans are certainly ready for the rage. One fan wrote back to Cudi, “No water bottles this time guys ” Another feels the same way, “Never had Coachella fomo till now…”

Lollapalooza 2024 Lineup: Tyler The Creator, Future, Metro Boomin, SZA, And More To Take Over Chicago

We can hardly keep track of all the festival lineups surfacing online for the 2024 season, but one that has our attention today (March 19) is the annual Lollapalooza event in Chicago this August. Ahead of Thursday’s 10 AM CT presale, organizers have unleashed a stacked roster of performers, including several noteworthy hip-hop and R&B acts. Among them are Dominic Fike, Victoria Monet, Sexyy Red, Killer Mike, Vince Staples, Kevin Abstract, Teezo Touchdown, Tyla, Veeze, and Armani White – and those don’t even begin to cover this year’s headliners.

Blink-182 and The Killers are on deck to close out Lolla, along with Hozier, Stray Kids, and Melanie Martinez. These are all exciting names, but we’re willing to bet our readers are more interested in watching SZA and Tyler, The Creator take the stage, or perhaps Future and Metro Boomin. The response to the Grant Park-based festival so far has been more positive than we’ve seen with Hot 97 Summer Jam and other “underwhelming” reveals.

Glastonbury Festival Headliners: SZA, Coldplay, And Dua Lipa To Perform In June

It might still be chilly where you live, but as we push through the final week of winter, it’s hard to deny the liveliness of spring that’s in the air. With the warmest months of the year in the northern hemisphere right around the corner, music lovers are growing increasingly excited for another season full of live outdoor performances from the biggest names in music. Americans tend to check out Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Governor’s Ball if they want to avoid travelling too far. Meanwhile, one of the UK’s biggest events of the year, Glastonbury Festival has a seriously stacked lineup that’s drawing in more passport-friendly crowds.

The annual bash is taking place from June 26-30 at Worthy Farm, Pilton. The stacked list of performers have already been divided up into different areas; at Woodsies you’ll find DJ Jamie XX, James Blake, Sampha, Soccer Mommy, and others. Over at West Holts, Jungle, Masego, Black Pumas, and Noname will all be holding it down during their sets. The second-largest category, Other, holds Disclosure, Two Door Cinema Club, Avril Lavigne, and Headie One. Finally, Pyramid reveals out 2024 Glastonbury headliners, which include Dua Lipa, Coldplay, and Canadian country starlet Shania Twain.

SZA is Looking Forward to Glastonbury 2024

SZA will also be closing out the festival one night, and based on today’s (March 14) Instagram Story post, she seems excited. “This bout to be ins*ne,” the “Drew Barrymore” hitmaker wrote. Other noteworthy acts in Pyramid at Glastonbury are Burna Boy, Janelle Monae, and Ayra Starr.

After shaking up the industry with SOS in late 2022, SZA spent much of last year on the road touring her sophomore LP. Ari Lennox Fans Express Outrage Over Her Exclusion From Dreamville Festival Lineup

Earlier today, Dreamville put out their official lineup for this year’s festival, which is scheduled to take place April 6 and 7 in Raleigh, NC. Headliners include major names like SZA, Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj, and of course, J. Cole. While countless fans have expressed their excitement over the star-studded lineup, not all of the reactions have been positive.

While some social media users are pleased with the artists they can expect to see, others are outraged. Some commenters even claim that they plan to sell their tickets for the fest soon, as they’re disappointed that their favorite artists won’t be in attendance. Ari Lennox supporters, for example, are shocked and confused at the fact that she wasn’t included.

Ari Lennox Won’t Perform At 2024 Dreamville Festival

“Ari Lennox being left off Dreamville Fest feels like a choice!” one suspicious supporter writes on Twitter/X. ” Idk what’s going on but somebody need to fix it.” Another outraged music lover weighed in on Ari’s exclusion, revealing that the songstress was their entire reason for attending the festival. “Dreamville just pissed me off,” they begin. “What the F*CK is that lineup? WHERE IS ARI LENNOX!!!! SHE THE MAIN REASON I COME !”

At the time of writing, it remains unclear why Ari Lennox won’t take part in this year’s Dreamville festival. The performer has yet to respond to the backlash surrounding her exclusion from the fest. Dreamville has also yet to address the outcry. Only time will tell whether or not she’ll be added at a later date, or make a statement about not being included on the lineup.

The wait is finally over: we now have the official lineup and headliners for the Dreamville Festival this year in Raleigh, North Caroline. Moreover, tickets are still available here, and it will take place on Saturday and Sunday, April 6 and 7 at the Dorothea Dix Park six years after its original inception. The festival’s headliners are none other than J. Cole himself, Nicki Minaj, SZA, and Chris Brown. Other performers are the following: JID, ScHoolboy Q, Lil Yachty, Sexyy Red, Jeremih, EARTHGANG, Teezo Touchdown, Amaarae, Lute, Luh Tyler, Domani, Rema, Jeezy, Monica, Rae Sremmurd, Key Glock, Bas, Muni Long, Cozz, Omen, TiaCorine, and Chase Shakur.

Furthermore, this is shaping up to be a pretty stacked year when it comes to artist-led music festivals. For example, Jack Harlow recently announced his inaugural Gazebo Music Festival in Louisville Kentucky on Memorial Day weekend (May 25 and 26) this year. The lineup actually has some crossover with the Dreamville Festival, as expected for festival seasons, with SZA and Amaarae also hitting the stage at Gazebo. But the most exciting part about this lineup is the names that you might not catch anywhere else, such as what is presumably ScHoolboy Q’s first performance after dropping his new album BLUE LIPS.

Dreamville Festival 2024: See Lineup

Meanwhile, we already knew that Nicki Minaj was headlining, but her comments on the London festival Wireless might suggest her excitement for Dreamville. “Instead of doing another arena show in London after we sold out in the first week, I opted to do Wireless Festival,” she said of her U.K. travels. “This year’s show will be a billion times more special, creative, beautiful, cohesive, ugh! I’m so excited. I’d like to tell you guys thank you in advance. Last year was so meaningful but won’t compare. Just wait & see.”

Jack Harlow is a proud native of Louisville, Kentucky, and he’s always done his part to put on for his city. Moreover, this most recent initiative to bring some cultural exchange, commercial opportunity, and a whole lot of hype to his hometown is among his most exciting yet for fans. The “Lovin’ On Me” rapper recently announced the Gazebo Music Festival, hitting Louisville’s Waterfront Park for Memorial Day Weekend (May 25 and 26). The Ohio River bash will start rolling out its presale tickets on March 6 at 10AM EST, while general stubs go up on March 8 at 10AM EST on the festival’s website.

Furthermore, you’re probably wondering about the lineup, and it’s an incredibly stacked and impressive one. Joining Jack Harlow onstage as a headliner are SZA, Omar Apollo, James Blake (with a DJ set), PinkPantheress, and Jack’s White Men Can’t Jump costar Vince Staples. Andre 3000, Nas, And Lil Wayne Headline Stacked Roots Picnic 2024 Lineup

The Roots are back with their annual Roots Picnic festival. The event has been dazzling Philly every year since 2008 and plans for the newest edition hit the internet today. The festival will take place later this year on June 1 and 2 and just unveiled the impressive lineup of performers who will take the stage. The main event is a special performance where The Roots themselves will team up with Lil Wayne to “celebrate New Orleans.”

The entire line-up is stacked with talent. Andre 3000 will be doing a special live performance of his recent ambient jazz album New Blue Sun. Nas will take the stage fresh off of the conclusion of years of collaborations with Hit-Boy that resulted in 6 entire albums. This year’s Best New Artist Grammy winner Victoria Monet will take the stage following her breakthrough year on the back of hit song “On My Mama.” Huge names in contemporary rap and R&B like Gunna, Sexyy Red, and Tyla are also performing. Meanwhile, numerous veterans will take to the stage as well. The Roots’ own Black Thought will perform alongside Wu-Tang Clan’s Method Man and Redman in a special performance. Over the weekend, Lil Wayne coached in the NBA celebrity All-Star game. He and Stephen A. Smith took the reigns of one team while 50 Cent and Shannon Sharpe coached the other. While there was expectedly quite a bit of trash talk between all parties leading up to the big game, it was all in good faith. Wayne and 50 linked up for some pictures together after the event.

Mary J. Blige will be performing at the Lovers and Friends festival in Las Vegas, this May, after a back and forth between herself and the event organizers over whether she would be present. After the organizers initially listed her on the lineup during their announcement, Blige labeled her inclusion inaccurate in a post on her Instagram Story.

“I am beyond humbled by the response from all of you about the announcement of me on Lovers & Friends Festival,” she wrote. “Unfortunately my inclusion was an error as I will be busy in preparation for my Strength of a Woman Summit just one week later! I have the greatest fans in the world and can’t wait to see you in New York in a few short months!”

Over the weekend, Lovers and Friends once against promoted Blige as a performer at the event on social media. “THE QUEEN OF R&B HERSELF, MARY J BLIGE! we can’t wait to see her perform in vegas @therealmaryjblige,” they captioned a video of her performing at the Super Bowl Halftime Show. When fans brought up her denial of being on the lineup in response, the account wrote back: “Yes she will be here! She took down the post. See you in Vegas.”

The performance comes fresh off of the release of their new collaborative album, Too Good To Be True. Both Meek and Ross recently spoke with Zane Lowe at Apple Music 1 about the release. Meek explained that the two get “serious” when working together. “When we get in the studio, that sh*tt gets serious. Ross getting into serious mode,” Meek said at the time. “He trying to knock that shit out and get to work. And you know me, he giving me that gas. I’m going to run jumping out that window a hundred miles an hour. But we joke all the time. You’re going to see a lot of that throughout the content and all that. And it’s organic too, Zane. We came up with this idea and we got around each other, built, vibed out and then got in the studio. It don’t matter where we’re recording at, we could be in the closet, Rose going to get this shit done.”
