Harve Pierre Gets Court Date In Sexual Assault Lawsuit

Harve Pierre will be appearing in court in January 2024 to deal with the sexual assault lawsuit filed against him by an anonymous accuser. The victim claims they were assaulted by the former Bad Boy Records president on multiple occasions “from approximately 2016 to 2017,” while they were an assistant to Pierre. Judge James E. d’Auguste also allowed the victim to maintain her anonymity.

“The Plaintiff is permitted as interim relief to maintain the above pseudonym caption pending a hearing on this order to show cause,” the judge ordered, as noted by AllHipHop. “And it is further ordered that sufficient cause appearing therefore, let service upon all Defendants of a copy of this order, together with the papers upon which this order is granted, and the summons and complaint, on or before the 8th of December 2023 be deemed good and sufficient service. An affidavit or other proof of service shall be presented to this court on the return date directed in the second paragraph of this order.”

Harve Pierre Attends Diddy’s Fourth Of July Party

In the initial filing, the plaintiff explained that they wanted to be “fully and fairly compensated” for their experience. That experience includes allegedly suffering physical, emotional, and psychological injuries. The filing continues: “Pierre used his position of authority as plaintiff’s boss to groom, exploit, and sexually assault her. Pierre engaged in a year-long pattern of grooming plaintiff, leading to sexual harassment of plaintiff, and sexual assault.”

Pierre’s lawsuit comes as Bad Boy founder Diddy has faced several sexual assault lawsuits in recent weeks. The first came from Cassie, who accused him of sexual, physical, and emotional abuse during their years as a couple. While they settled shortly afterward, Diddy still faces two more lawsuits, the allegations of which he has denied. The fallout from the situation has led to Diddy stepping down as chairman of Revolt. C-Murder Appeals Murder Conviction Again

Earlier this week, U.S. District Judge Sarah S. Vance decided to uphold C-Murder’s murder conviction in federal court, after two key witnesses recanted their testimonies. They had previously implicated the rapper, born Corey Miller, in the 2002 murder of 16-year-old Steve Thomas. He’s currently serving a life sentence for allegedly carrying out the fatal shooting, but he’s already filed an appeal.

“NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Petitioner, Corey Miller, appeals to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit from the District Court’s decision rendered on November 14, 2023, dismissing Petitioner’s Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus. R. Doc. 14,” the appeal reads. “Additionally, Petitioner prays that this Court grant him a Certificate of Appealability.

C-Murder Continues To Fight His Conviction

In Judge Vance’s recent ruling, she claimed that C-Murder failed to “put forth clear and convincing evidence of error in the state courts’ findings of fact.” This is far from the first time his appeal has been denied, however. He’s been working to get his conviction thrown out, or to at least be granted another hearing, for the past 14 years. He was first convicted of the alleged murder in 2009. Kim Kardashian famously brought attention to his case earlier this year after working on it herself for years.

“Louisiana recently enacted a new law that provides innocent people with the ability to raise a post-conviction claim of factual innocence,” she explained in August. “Mr. Miller has raised such a claim and, like all of his prior post-conviction filings, has been denied relief without even so much as an evidentiary hearing. In light of the fact that the only witnesses have completely recanted their testimony, there is absolutely no remaining evidence against Mr. Miller. Corey Miller deserves a day in court to test the veracity of the recanted statements and to prove that he did not shoot Steve Thomas.” Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Lizzo Harassment Lawsuit Update: Accusers Fighting Attempted Dismissal In Court

Life for Lizzo since being accused of creating a hostile work environment for some of her dancers has mostly returned to normal, though the lawsuit they’ve raised against her hasn’t quite disappeared yet. The Detroit native’s legal team previously filed a motion to have the case dismissed, but on Friday (November 10), Rolling Stone confirmed that lawyers for Lizzo’s accusers are standing firmly behind their client’s allegations.

Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams and Noelle Rodriguez – with the help of their attorneys – have filed an opposition pointing out that “anti-SLAPP statuses don’t protect Lizzo from facing legal repercussions for their allegations.” In the 19-page document, the women accuse the body positive creative of “either cherry-pick[ing] allegations or outright [omitting those] inconvenient to their position, instead sanitizing them with euphemisms.”

As HipHopDX notes, Lizzo’s team has already responded to today’s allegations, reminding readers that many of her team members have already publicly pledged their loyalty to her in this trying time. “Last month, 18 independent witnesses stood by Lizzo’s work ethic and character,” Stefan Friedman told the outlet. “It is clear that since then, these plaintiff lawyers have come up with exactly zero to refute these facts.” For their part, the defence suggests that Davis, Williams, and Rodriquez were exhibiting “a pattern of gross misconduct and failure to perform their job up to par” before cutting ties with Lizzo.

Another starlet who’s all too familiar with the intensity of being in the spotlight while going through a personal crisis shared her thoughts on Lizzo’s situation just last month. “People are more interested in believing the negative,” Keke Palmer reflected while discussing the “Truth Hurts” hitmaker’s hateful backlash over her dancer’s allegations of harassment. ASAP Rocky Allegedly Threatened To Kill ASAP Relli

The ongoing legal saga surrounding rapper ASAP Rocky has taken a dramatic turn. TMZ reported that new details emerged about allegations that Rocky threatened to kill ASAP Relli. Rocky’s attorney, Joe Tacopina, recently questioned Relli in court. It lead to a combative back-and-forth that dived deep into the alleged victim’s personal history with Rocky and the circumstances surrounding the case. Tacopina’s questioning was strategic, with the aim of getting Relli to admit that he may have had ulterior motives in reporting the alleged threat. However, this tactic hinted at the possibility that Relli might have waited to raise the issue with law enforcement for reasons other than fear. Essentially Tacopina suggested there was financial incentive for him in reporting it.

Relli, however, stood his ground. Moreover, during the questioning, he reiterated that he delayed reporting the incident due to his genuine fear of retaliation. He firmly maintained that he was a victim of gun violence. And he denied any involvement in attempting to extract money from the situation. The exchanges in court were, at times, tense and heated, reflecting the gravity of the allegations and the stakes involved. However, according to Relli, a heated exchange between he and Rocky escalated to a chilling moment. He says Rocky allegedly pressed a gun against his stomach, saying, “I’ll kill you right now.”

Sexyy Red Is Young Thug’s “Twin,” She Says In Post Advocating For His Freedom

One of the funniest and most viral rap comparisons in recent memory centered around two artists in very different phases of their careers. On one hand, we have Sexyy Red: one of a couple of femcees who dominated the game in 2023 and made a significant splash in what feels like record time. On the other, we have Young Thug: a pioneer of trap who is currently behind bars on RICO charges along with various other members of YSL. People already said that they look alike, but it took a little longer for these artists to acknowledge that Internet meme and, most importantly, feel proud of it.

“Free my mf twin,” Sexyy Red quote-tweeted a new picture of Young Thug in court that emerged recently. While some folks think that Thugger gained weight in prison due to this snap, Red is clearly more focused on continuing to highlight his struggles in the prison system. If not that, then at least she has sympathy for him based on their physical similarities. Of course, something else that fans pointed out is that the St. Louis MC’s loyalty to the Atlanta icon is welcome but a tad odd, since she wasn’t popping off back when he was last free.

Regardless, we’re sure that Young Thug appreciates Sexyy Red’s support to some degree. In fact, now that it looks like the RICO trial will finally commence this month following a finalized jury selection process, support for Thug and YSL is more important than ever. It’s unclear as of press time whether the court found its final jurors, though, although they had a mission to reach a conclusion this week. Still, the trial’s expected start date remains at November 27, and if this pans out, it will be a massive development.

Furthermore, we’re sure that the rap community will be front and center to witness the RICO case with a lot of empathy and attention. Accountability and responsibility are priorities, but in such a contentious, deeply antagonistic, and notoriously complex and messy trial like this, many fans lost hope that these values will be achieved either way. We’ll just have to wait and see. With that in mind check back in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on Young Thug and Sexyy Red.

Lady Leshurr Found Not Guilty For Attacking Ex, Is Relieved But Fears Her Career Is Over

Just a couple of weeks ago, UK rapper Lady Leshurr was recently accused by her ex. The reason she was in court was because of Sidnee Hussein, and her then-partner, Chante Boyea. This happened around the same time last year, on October 22, 2022. According to HipHopDX, the altercation went down when Leshurr reportedly bit her ex’s girlfriend on the hand after she stopped in her car. Then when Leshurr’s ex came out of the house to break it up, the rapper reportedly attacked her as well.

There was a chance that the two accusers were lying. The prosecutor claimed the defendants did so with the police. In addition to that, their account did not really explain the injuries. Well, we now have confirmation that Leshurr is a free woman after a year-long battle. She addressed her situation in a recent Instagram post. Leshurr was extremely grateful for it to be over. However, even with that, she believes her career is over for good.

“For the past year I’ve been battling a court case from people that accused me of stalking, harassing, and biting them but I was the victim. I was attacked and bitten by a dog and made out to be the aggressor. For a whole year people have deserted me, dropped me from deals, and didn’t want to work with me anymore. For a whole year I have had no income. For a whole year I’ve had to be silent and let articles and the media slander and defame my character. Today has been judgment day. I’m shaking whilst I write this. My brand/career has been ruined regardless no matter the outcome, but at least I have a clean record and can FINALLY get on with my life.”

What are your initial thoughts on Lady Leshurr being not guilty of attacking her ex? Do you agree with her that her career is still over? Does her message rub you the right way? Young Thug Court Photo Has Fans Thinking He Put On Weight

Young Thug has been going through a lot over the last year. Overall, it all stems from his YSL RICO case. Although the case has been moving extremely slow, it seems there may just be some relief coming down the pipeline. Today, jury selection is supposed to finally take place. After months, they finally found 50 potential jurors. Of course, the jury will be the make-or-break factor in this case. At the end of the day, they will be the ones who determine whether or not Thugger will come home.

That said, Thugger has been in court quite a bit throughout these proceedings. He has mostly had to remain quiet as his lawyers work to speed up the entire process. It has not been an easy process, and with other former suspects like Gunna going home free, there is a sense that Thug may be in trouble. However, his fans remain very hopeful. Meanwhile, a new picture of Young Thug in court has emerged online. Subsequently, fans are now noticing a change in the artist.

Essentially, fans believe the artist has actually gained quite a bit of weight. “Bro eating good,” one commenter wrote. “Him and Gunna traded calories,” said another. This was followed up with a plethora of similar comments. For instance, “Bro swapped bodies with Gunna wtf” was a sentiment espoused by one fan. Another person tried to get creative with the comparisons, saying “Gunna and Thugga switch souls like Chucky be doing rituals on humans.”

Some may find these comments to be a bit cruel, especially when you consider what Thug is going through. Not to mention, lighting and perspective can always make someone look a bit different. Pras Claims His Former Lawyer Used A.I. To Craft Closing Arguments, Wants New Trial

Pras wants a new trial after being found guilty of 10 criminal counts, including conspiracy, witness tampering, and failing to register as an agent of China. The Fugees member says his former lawyer, David Kenner, used artificial intelligence to craft the closing arguments in his case and has hired a new legal team to help him. Kenner previously represented Suge Knight, Tory Lanez, and more. Pras is alleged to have aided Malaysian entrepreneur Jho Low in gaining political clout in America.

This time around, Pras is working with the firm, ArentFox Schiff LLP, which boasts Peter Zeidenberg, former US Senator Doug Jones, and Scott Peeler. The new lawyers say Kenner spoke openly about his use of EyeLevel’s A.I. technology. “We also found evidence indicating that this was true. Specifically, we identified a press release issued by a company called EyeLevel after the trial that stated: ‘EyeLevel.AI’s litigation assistance technology made history last week, becoming the first use of generative AI in a federal trial. The case involved Pras Michel, a former member of the Hip-Hop band The Fugees, who was on trial for international fraud charges,” Pras’ legal team argued.

NLE Choppa Sued By Rodney-O Over “Who TF Up In My Trap”

Just over a couple of years ago, NLE Choppa really broke into the mainstream with his 2020 album, Top Shotta. It was a huge project for him for a few reasons. Firstly, compared to its predecessor, Cottonwood, which is also NLE’s debut, it nabbed more features. The first of the Cottonwood series only included two artists and one was for a remix. While Meek Mill and Blueface are still big names, those were the only guests. Even though Top Shotta was longer in length, it still contained more names. Lil Baby, Latto, Roddy Ricch, and Chief Keef all did their thing.

Secondly, NLE also had more bangers in the tracklist. These also helped mold him into the rapper we know currently. “Walk Em Down” set the bar high for him but he has been able to replicate that level of songwriting. Another solid track is “Who TF Up in My Trap.” It samples the iconic “Everlasting Bass” from legends Rodney-O and Joe Cooley. Unfortunately, according to a report from AllHipHop, we have come to learn that he never got permission to use it.

NLE Choppa Is Going To Court

Music Business Worldwide was the first to bring this about and they have learned that a lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California on Tuesday (October 3). One of the official statements read, “The composition of [Who TF Up In My Trap] substantially comprises the composition of Everlasting Bass and is either a verbatim copy or encompassed and embodied in an audio sample of Everlasting Bass found in the infringing work.” Other defendants that will be joining NLE include Juicy J, Project Pat, DJ Paul, and more.

What are your initial thoughts on NLE Choppa receiving a lawsuit from Rodney-O over “Who TF Up In My Trap?” How much money do you think Rodney will get out of this? Does this hurt NLE’s career at all? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below. YNW Melly Smiles In Court As Retrial Is Pushed Back

YNW Melly appeared in court again today (October 6) for a hearing surrounding his team’s motion to recuse the Broward County State Attorney’s Office from prosecuting his alleged double murder case. The rapper’s team is accusing prosecutors of keeping it under wraps that detective Mark Moretti had obtained Melly’s mom’s cell phone without a proper search warrant.

Moretti’s seizing of the phone wouldn’t have been a problem if there had been a Broward County Sheriff’s Deputy present. State attorney Michelle Boutros alleges that she witnessed him conduct the search without one there, however. Boutros also claims she heard Moretti tell a deputy, “You need to say you were here.” Today in court, they deliberated on whether or not his demand was a joke. Judge John Murphy said that he would be deferring his decision on if the state will be recused.

YNW Melly’s Retrial Starts October 16 Or Later

Melly’s team has also motioned for the case to be dropped entirely, which is a long shot. Murphy announced that the hearing for their motion is scheduled for October 13. Jury selection was intitially set to begin on October 9. The judge, however, has pushed the date back to make rulings on various other motions. The retrial will now begin on October 16 at the earliest, one week after the prior start date. In a new clip, the 24-year-old performer is seen being escorted into the court room, looking to be in good spirits.

His laid-back demeanor doesn’t come as too much of a surprise, as he’s remained confident that he’s headed home soon. Regardless, if he’s convicted, he could be facing the death penalty. He was also recently hit with a witness tampering charge, and accused of communicating with his co-defendant, YNW Bortlen, to try to get witnesses not to appear in court. What do you think of YNW Melly’s second trial getting delayed? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates on YNW Melly.
