Conway The Machine & Sexyy Red Join Our New “Fire Emoji” Playlist Update

We’re officially in the holiday season, and of course, hip-hop has a lot of gifts to give us to close 2023 out. Moreover, we complied the best and biggest releases from this week on our latest Fire Emoji playlist update, and there’s plenty of variety to find. Leading the way are Kanye West, Ty Dolla $ign, Lil Durk, and Bump J with their new single “Vultures,” which was a surprising release. Sure, there was some controversy surrounding the presence or absence of the Smurk feature, but the original track is now on streaming services for you to enjoy. In addition, Ye collaborator Conway The Machine dropped another cavernous and impressive single- “Cosca“- from his upcoming collaborative effort with producer Wun Two, PALERMO, for which they already dropped the song “Montagna.”

Furthermore, another Fire Emoji highlight is the new Sexyy Red record “Free My N***a,” which is a pretty self-explanatory track topically. With the same boisterous energy and fast pace that she built a stellar career off of this year, she pleads for the return of her man on this new song. Another bouncy cut from this week is the latest from Luh Tyler, the light and low-key “Change My Wayz.” The energy might not be at supersonic levels, but it’s a welcome change of pace that shows that Tyler can stay within a more relaxed realm and still engage listeners.

As far as albums, Fire Emoji‘s got two big drops this week, and the first one to mention is Busta Rhymes’ BLOCKBUSTA. There are plenty of fun, lyrically dense, and hard-hitting bangers to name here, but we haven’t been able to let go of “OK” featuring Young Thug and with help from Cool and Dre. On the other hand, Lord Apex’s new project The Good Fight is a versatile and well-rounded collection of tracks with a lot of distinct appeal. If you want to hear the English MC trade excellent bars with Freddie Gibbs over a dusty boom-bap beat, look no further than “Phoenix.”

Rounding out the list, we want to give a shoutout to the new Lil Baby-assisted single from Bay Swag, the rapid-fire “All Night Long.” Finally, go give a spin to the most recent collab between Gucci Mane, B.G. and Mike WiLL Made-It, “Cold.” Let us know in the comments down below what was your favorite hip-hop release of the week- and which ones we missed, too. Stream the Fire Emoji playlist above and, as always, come back to HNHH for more great music drops each week.

Conway The Machine & Wun Two Deliver A Laidback Quickie With “Cosca”: Stream

Conway The Machine’s already had a prolific 2023, but do you think that this refined machinery stops at anytime? Well, if you do, you’d be sorely mistaken, as he’s gearing up for his next project PALERMO dropping towards the end of the year, which is a collaborative effort with producer Wun Two. Moreover, they’ve already dropped a couple of singles for the album, including “Montagna” with Goosebytheway. By comparison, this new single “Cosca” is shorter, more somber, but nonetheless fiery and dexterous on behalf of the Buffalo native. As such, it’s a short but welcome addition to the tracklist that could serve as your bite-sized introduction to PALERMO.

Furthermore, Wun Two came through with a dry and easy-going boom-bap drum pattern, and chose some wavy instrumentation to fit this vibe. For example, the infectious guitar loop throughout is what gives “Cosca” its more tender and laidback sound, as its woozy tone and playing invokes a haze of smoke. Still, the brightness and warm nature of the beat emerges with the watery and simple synth chords that appear more prominently towards the end of the song, complimented by some deep bass tones. As such, it’s well-contrasted and lush enough for Conway The Machine to sound boastful and relaxed on it while still delivering some animated ad-libs and inflections. Given his history of collaboration, one that his new Drumwork album exemplifies, it’s no surprise there’s a lot of chemistry here.

Conway The Machine’s “Cosca” With Wun Two: Stream

Lyrically, the Griselda affiliate doesn’t tread any new ground here: his history in the streets, his proximity to women, using these as balances for his own mental struggles… you get the idea. Actually, it’s one of his simplest lyrical displays in recent memory, but given the short and breezy nature of this single, it comes as little surprise. Either way, these two were still able to provide another compelling taste of Palermo, which should close off the “We Outside” artist’s year with a bang. If you haven’t heard “Cosca” yet, find it on your preferred streaming service and check out some standout bars below. Let us know what you think of it in the comments and stay posted on HNHH for more on Conway The Machine and Wun Two.

Conway The Machine And Wun Two Share Their Second Single, “Montagna,” From “PALERMO” With Goosebytheway

Conway the Machine and Wun Two are ramping things up once again after the release of their single, “Brick by Brick,” two weeks ago. What we have come to discover is that it is the lead song for the rapper and producer’s upcoming collaboration project, PALERMO. The prolific New York MC has worked with tons of talented producers in the past. These past two tracks have been their first works together.

Interestingly, Conway has not promoted the record at all, but Wun Two has. If you go to the producer’s Instagram, he has a pinned post about it from October 26. The caption for it reads, “Today I have the pleasure to announce a new project with @whoisconway. Together we have a record coming with 10 wonderful tracks. The record is called ‘PALERMO.’ And will be released on ‘DECEMBER 22.’” He continues with a hilarious list of equipment used to record the record.

Listen To “Montagna” By Conway The Machine, Wun Two, And Goosebytheway

“Our record requires only the simplest of equipment: An ordinary phonograph needle. A four-inch speaker. And a 38-caliber revolver. Naturally, the record is long-playing. Even though you may not be.” The duo has their second single out for the tape now, called “Montagna.” This one features one of the three guest verses from one of Conway’s frequent collaborators, Goosebytheway.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new single from Conway the Machine, Wun Two, and Goosebytheway, “Montagna?” Between this and “Brick by Brick,” which track is better? I’m still at it, I’m still getting to it (I’m still at it)
Any obstacles in front of me, I’m getting through it (Machine, b****)

Please, they gave you a gun to squeeze and you didn’t do it (That s*** trap)
Machine, b****, I make different music (Uh), my s*** is fluid (Uh)

Conway The Machine And Che Noir Switch Up “We Outside” With Production From Big Ghost Ltd.

Conway the Machine is already hard at work to get another project out right before the end of 2023. We got a taste of the project last Friday, October 27, with the lead single “Brick by Brick.” Frequent collaborator and producer Wun Two handled the production. The full team effort is expected to release on December 22, according to Genius.

As of now, there are 10 tracks with three features from GooseByTheWay. What is really impressive for Conway is that this will be his third collaboration LP of the year. He previously worked with Jae Skeese and 38 Spesh, respectively. But before the Wun Two release, Conway has what appears to be a loosie out now.

Listen To “We Outside (Big Ghost Ltd. Version) From Conway The Machine, Che Noir, And Big Ghost Ltd.

On Speshal Machinery Conway and Spesh had a song featuring Pharoahe Monche and Che Noir. “We Outside” was the name and it had production from Spesh and Jimmy Dukes. Conway decided to pull that song and do some extra work with it. The new version has the Monche verse taken off, Che Noir remains, and producer Big Ghost Ltd. enters into the mix. He is another close workmate with Conway. Ghost changes up the beat entirely. The original beat is more boom bap while this one adds some woodwind loops and shots of sharp synths.

What are your initial thoughts on this new version of “We Outside” with Conway the Machine, Big Ghost Ltd., and Che Noir? Is Big Ghost Ltd.’s beat on this version better than the original? Is Conway the best rapper on Griselda? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest breaking news around Conway the Machine, Che Noir, and Big Ghost Ltd, as well as all of the hottest song drops.

I got hit with three shots and the s*** didn’t drop me (I ate those)
The neck and the wrists-es is rocky (No cap)
I got positioned on the top, now you n****s gotta sit and just watch me (You gotta watch, n****)
Lobster tail and shrimp with the broccoli (Hah?), my trench is Versace
All cheetah print, so the b*****s can spot me (Whoo)

Conway The Machine And Young Noble of the Outlawz Drop Official Visuals For “Grow Through It”

Critically acclaimed producer K-Salaam is back with a brand new bag, a new production partner, J.Dot.L, and a who’s who list of collaborators to close out the year. The first offering from this new partnership brings the team of Conway the Machine and The Outlawz’s Young Noble together for a tale about surviving life’s many adversities called “Grow Through It.” Against an impressive backdrop of soulful chord progressions, aggressive drums and complex arrangements the two lyricists wax poetic about weathering each storm, punctuated by a notable dose of turntable gymnastics.

“Shit is fire, as you can expect.” Conway boasts of today’s release. “You (know) the names involved. It’s just that pain.” he continues. “Talking about how sometimes life comes at you from different directions but it’s a lesson it it all. You just gotta grow through that.”

38 Spesh Recruits Benny The Butcher And Conway The Machine For “Goodfellas”

It’s safe to wonder if Conway The Machine ever sleeps. The rapper has been releasing music prolifically all year including a full studio album of his own as well as a collaborative album with Jae Skeese and a compilation album for his Drumwork label. He’s also managed to appear in a number of featured roles including on this new song. He teams up with frequent collaborator 38 Spesh and fellow Griselda alum Benny The Butcher for a new hard-hitting posse cut on “Goodfellas.”

The song sounds like many of the trios tracks in the past with a hard-hitting drum beat and nostalgic samples laced into it. The track also features a lot of typical hip-hop subject matter about women, dangerous confrontations and plenty of bragging. The track features production from Spesh himself alongside JimmyDukes. Both Benny and Conway provide memorable verses later on in the song. The track should have no trouble winning over those that are already fans of Griselda and Spesh. Check out the full song below.

38 Spesh, Conway The Machine, And Benny The Butcher Are “Goodfellas”

This isn’t the first time 38 Spesh and Conway The Machine have teamed up this year. They collaborated on their last single “Latex Gloves” just last week. That song also featured a collaboration with Lloyd Banks. Benny The Butcher is the only one in the trio who hasn’t released much recently. While he has appeared on a few features he hasn’t dropped much music of his own since last year.

That could change when Benny drops his new album. The project was originally scheduled to drop in August but wasn’t ready yet and got pushed back to an unknown date. What do you think of 38 Spesh, Benny The Butcher, and Conway The Machine’s new song “Goodfellas”? Let us know in the comment section below.

No losses, I had a 22-month streak

Now who wanna see the switch on my big weapon?
