Beyonce Rocks Low-Cut Mini Dress On Renassiance Tour

Beyoncé is coming to the end of the European leg of her Renaissance Tour. Beginning in Stockholm on May 10, the legendary artist has worked her way across Belgium, Wales, Scotland, England, France, Spain, and Germany. At the time of writing, all that remains are a pair of shows in Warsaw, Poland. After that, she heads to Toronto on July 8 to begin the lengthy North American leg of the tour.

One of the things that has defined the tour is the many iconic outfits that Beyoncé has worn so far. Whether it’s looking angelic in Amsterdam, or nearly flashing a nipple to the good people of Hamburg, the costuming department has absolutely killed it. But fans weren’t expecting the Queen herself to drop a scintillating outfit on social media from her show in Frankfurt.

Beyonce Wows In Black Mini Dress

While Beyoncé has worn a number of black minidresses on the tour so far, the latest one to wow fans was posted to her official Instagram. The dress has a deep V-neck, showing plenty of cleavage. Furthermore, it barely covers The Queen Bey Behind with a teasingly high hem. Additionally, the fabric used gives the whole thing a futuristic vibe (Space Mommy? Sorry.). Once again, the costume department absolutely outdid themselves to create something so fabulous for Beyoncé to wear.

The images were presumably taken at the Frankfurt show on June 24 before being posted to social media. However, it’s safe to say that fans (big and small) have gone absolutely wild for the look. At the time of writing, the post has garnered over 1.2 million likes. “Oh yes ma’am,” writes Nicki Minaj in the comments, who recently flaunted her own plunging neckline in the video for “Barbie World”. Other commenters can barely contain their thirst for the 41-year-old music legend. What do you think of Beyoncé’s latest look? Let us know in the comments.

Lil Durk Pops Out At Morgan Wallen’s Chicago Show

While the rap community laments the lack of a No. 1 song or album this year from the genre, Morgan Wallen sits atop the mountain. Moreover, his “One Night at a Time” world tour has been very successful so far, reflecting his massive commercial run. Most recently and notably, the tour stopped by Chicago on Thursday night (June 22) at Wrigley Field, and the country star had a special surprise. “This is where I usually step off stage and take a little break, but I’ve got a good buddy in town… he is one of Chicago’s own,” he announced to fans. “Y’all make some noise for my brother Lil Durk!”

Of course, the two performed their latest collab “Stand By Me,” which appears on Smurk’s latest album Almost Healed. Fans were overjoyed, whether for Lil Durk’s appearance or for the hit track. What’s more is that Wallen appeared at Wrigley Field a second time before heading to his next stop in Michigan. Furthermore, the two previously collaborated on the MCs album 7220 on the track “Broadway Girls.”

However, that’s far from the most acclaimed feature on Almost Healed. In fact, there’s a clear winner that people haven’t stopped talking about. Recently, Lil Durk reflected on how it took him a while to land on the perfect record to collaborate with J. Cole on before finally finding “All My Life” off the album. “He went super cr*zy,” the 30-year-old said on The Nadeska Show. “It’s so cr*zy because we’d been talking for like, two years, and he’d always be like, ‘Send me a record.’ And I’m like, ‘I gotta find the right record.’ I’m glad I waited two years.

“In my eyes, he a legend,” he went on. “If you have a chance to do a song with a legend, it be like, will you send them something just to send it, just to say you got one, or you gone make it stick. So that’s why I never just sent him a record. Cause I’m like, ‘I want something that’s gon’ stick.’” For more on Lil Durk and Morgan Wallen, stay logged into HNHH.

GloRilla Ejects Fans After Objects Thrown On Stage

GloRilla abruptly stopped a concert in Denmark after fans appeared to throw objects onto the stage. While performing at the Roskilde Festival, one of Europe’s largest music festivals, objects believed to be water bottles were thrown on stage and landed near the rapper. GloRilla halted her performance, pointing out the two individuals in question and asking for them to be removed.

Later, the artist took to Twitter, sharing footage of the incident along with a comment on the situation. “Da fact dat y’all make a mf have to talk to y’all like somebody auntie is ins*ne,” the rapper wrote.

However, recent events have led a number of outlets to report that it was in fact a phone that was thrown onto the stage. The footage does not make it clear what was thrown. Regardless, the act of throwing hard objects on stage is becoming a worrying trend.

GloRilla Incident Second Of The Week

Of course, the incident at GloRilla’s Denmark set is the second time this week that a performer has had to deal with things being thrown on stage. On June 18, Bebe Rexha was struck in the head by a phone while performing in New York.

The man arrested for the assault on Rexha is a self-described misogynist who has openly said that he hates women. However, his defense later changed to simply wanting to get a picture with the artist. The individuals involved in the GloRilla incident have not yet been identified.

Fans have thrown things on stage for as long as organized concerts have been a thing. For example, it’s almost a time-honored tradition at this point for women to throw underwear on stage at Ginuwine concerts. However, a worrying trend has started to develop of objects that could, and have, injured people entering the performance space.

GloRilla Drops “Put It On Da Floor” Remix

However, it’s not been all bad news for GloRilla this week. The Memphis rapper also dropped her remix of Latto’s wildly popular “Put It On Da Floor” on June 22. Dubbed the “GloMix“, it comes after a week of hype. Previously, GloRilla said that the song has a “condo” in her head, given how much she likes it.

The release came two days before the BET Awards, where the 23-year-old holds six nominations. That’s the second most at this year’s ceremony behind Drake. These nominations include a nod for Album of the Year for Anyways, Life’s Great. Released in November 2022, the debut EP peaked at #11 on the Billboard 200.

Elsewhere, GloRilla was also named to XXL‘s Freshman Class of 2023. The prestigious list from the long-running hip hop outlet highlights the best new faces on the scene each year. GloRilla more than earned her place with a phenomenal first year on the scene, including a top-ten Billboard hit with “Tomorrow”.

Erykah Badu Calls Out Fans Leaving Show Early: “I’m Singing!”

At a recent performance, Erykah Badu took the opportunity to call out fans she spotted leaving the show early. She had her band stop the music so she could address the attendees. “Excuse me, where are y’all going?” she shouted from the stage. “This is rude,” Badu said, “motherf*cker I’m singing!” The artist then rolled right back into the performance, seemingly unfazed by the confrontation. Badu is currently on her “Unfollow Me” tour alongside Yasiin Bey, fka Mos Def, and the awkward moment took place at a stop this week.

“What if they just had to use the bathroom,” an Instagram user asked in the comments section of the uncomfortable clip. “Keep in mind she’s an artist,” another notes, claiming that Badu is “sensitive.” “Cause sit TF BACK DOWN,” a different fan jokes, adding laughing emojis.

Erykah Badu Says Leaving Her Show Was “Rude”

The incident was far from the first time Badu spoke her mind. Just earlier this month, she called Blueface “trash,” telling the universe to “do [it’s] thing.” Her post came amid ongoing drama between Blueface and the mother-to-be of his child, Chrisean Rock. She shared her message in an Instagram Story of Blueface pictured alongside several women. Blueface’s mother clapped back, telling her, “Girl you was just calling Tyrone and paying his cousins and homeboys way don’t and ain’t nobody said nothing to you.”

Last month, it was announced that Badu would be joining the cast of an upcoming movie on Netflix, The Piano Lesson. She’ll be joining Samuel L. Jackson and John David Washington, who star in the film. The Piano Lesson is an adaptation of a play by August Wilson of the same name. It’s one of ten play in Wilson’s The Pittsburgh Cycle, which highlights the Black experience in 20th Century Pittsburgh. The film doesn’t have an official release-date yet, but fans are eager to see Badu make her musical cameo appearance.

Chloe Bailey Honors Tina Turner On Juneteenth

Chloe Bailey of Chloe x Halle fame was one of the artists who graced the stage on Monday for CNN’s Juneteenth Celebration. During her set, she paid tribute to one of the legends we lost recently, Tina Turner. Chloe performed a stunning rendition of “What’s Love Got To Do With It” and the fans erupted into supportive cheering. “Rest in power to the great Tina Turner,” Chloe said with arms outstretched. “This one’s for you. I love you.”

The 24-year-old singer-songwriter was performing without her sister and duo counterpart, Halle Bailey, who is no doubt still doing plenty of press for her The Little Mermaid remake. While Halle plays Ariel, Chloe Bailey channeled her inner Turner with a red-and-gold dress with long fringes on the arms. And despite not being an exact replica of the late great singer — many fans picked up on too much vibrato from Bailey, even asking for Kelly Rowland to do the tribute instead — she still rocked the stage at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles.

Chloe Bailey — And More — Pay Respect To A Queen

CNN’s “Juneteenth: A Global Celebration for Freedom” was a major platform to show the world how much the music industry loved Tina Turner. Not only did Chloe Bailey headline the tribute, but Vice President Kamala Harris also spoke at the event, talking about the “ongoing fight” for freedom. Other musical artists who performed included Miguel, Nelly, Charlie Wilson, Kirk Franklin, and Mike Phillips. Questlove and Adam Blackstone were the musical directors behind the show. Chloe Bailey and Nelly performed “Dilemma” together as well.

Chloe Bailey is just one of many musicians devastated by the loss of a generational talent. Tina Turner passed away in late May at the age of 83. Her contributions to the music world will never be forgotten. This show is a testament to that. For Chloe, this was a chance to showcase her vocal range. Taking on one of the greatest’s songs is difficult as it is. However, she provided the same confidence Tina would have had, making this Juneteenth celebration one for the record books.

Fans Still Think The Weeknd Is Playing Bella Hadid Voicemail At Concerts

In the music video for Chromatics’ remix of The Weeknd’s gargantuan hit “Blinding Lights,” the 4:33 mark contains quite the interesting voicemail clip. It goes as follows: “Hey, it’s me,” a female voice says somberly. “I know it’s been a while but I was just thinking about you and I’m sorry about everything.” This is a clip that the Canadian superstar continues to play at his shows before performing the track, with the most recent example being at his Lisbon concert in Portugal. While most believe that the voice belongs to Chromatics’ lead signer Ruth Radelet, many others think it’s actually his ex, Bella Hadid.

Of course, this debate emerged as soon as that remix video dropped, so this speculation is nothing new. Also, it’s worth noting that The Weeknd has never publicly confirmed either theory, although he probably enjoys the mystery. While some wouldn’t put it past the R&B star to leak a private voicemail like that, it still seems like a stretch. Another speculative element of his recent performances is his new silver mask, which many compared to the late legend MF DOOM- and Abel doesn’t mind that comparison at all.

The Weeknd Plays Voicemail At Concert

Just like with the voicemail, though, it’s unclear how much of that is intentional and how much is pure coincidence. It’s been about four years since The Weeknd and Bella Hadid called it quits for the last time, and both have grown a lot since. Furthermore, he might have processed a lot of these emotions and feelings on his 2018 EP, My Dear Melancholy. Back in 2020, the 33-year-old called the project “cathartic” despite refusing to comment on whether it was specifically about Hadid and his other famous ex, Selena Gomez.

Regardless, there’s bigger fish to fry these days for the Dawn FM creative, including his new HBO show “The Idol.” Sure, reviews ranged from excited to less than enthusiastic, but mostly downright negative in a lot of aspects. But he expressed comfort with the backlash, as he mostly cares about the show sparking discussion and portraying the darkness and disgust of the show’s themes within their desired vision. Freddie Gibbs previously mentioned having another project with Madlib on the way during an interview with XXL in January. “I’ma hit y’all with some shit that y’all thought y’all was ready for, but you really ain’t ready for,” he said at the time. “Alchemist and Madlib ain’t goin’ nowhere, so keep that in mind. And me and Boi-1da in the studio now real, real, real heavy. I’m making the best music of my life, so it’s no reason to stop. And I’m the king of R&B, so I gotta do that album as well.”

Gibbs and Madlib previously collaborated on the 2019 album, Bandana, as well as its predecessor, 2014’s Piñata. Bandana was met with widespread critical acclaim and peaked at No. 21 on the US Billboard 200. It features guest appearances from Pusha T, Killer Mike, Anderson .Paak, Yasiin Bey, and Black Thought.

While Madlib hasn’t given a release date for the Mac Miller collaboration, he remarked that he was applying finishing touches during an appearance on Sway in the Morning in March. “Right now, I’m finishing up the Mac Miller album, Planet Asia album, Erykah Badu album, different stuff,” he said. The project has been rumored to be in the works for many years.

The LOX Bring Out Rakim In Vintage Summer Jam Performance

There was some controversy for rappers like Cardi B and Ice Spice at this past weekend’s Hot 97 Summer Jam. Thankfully, The LOX delivered an uncontroversial and very fun set during the festival. The legendary New York hip-hop trio put on a great show that had fans talking online. They were joined on stage by a fellow New York rap icon, Rakim. The rapper and one-time Eric B. & Rakim member was introduced as “The God MC” and he didn’t disappoint.

The veteran collection of talent linked up on stage to perform Rakim’s classic “Eric B. Is President” together. In addition to the performance, LOX member Sheek Louch spoke on how much of an influence Rakim was on the group. “We bringing out somebody that meant so much to us,” he said to the crowd. The crowd erupted in surprise upon finding out Rakim was the special guest.

Hot 97 Summer Jam is one of the biggest gatherings in the hip-hop calendar. This year in particular the festival is celebrating the 50th anniversary of hip-hop. The LOX were specifically booked as the festival’s tribute act to the history of the genre. They performed alongside a roster of impressive ladies of rap, another theme of this year’s festival. Cardi B, Ice Spice, GloRilla, and Lola Brooke all brought their talents to the Summer Jam stage. In addition, French Montana, FIvio Foreign, and Lil Tjay all appeared at the festival.

The LOX were far from the only reasons that fans were talking about the festival online. Cardi B had to clarify that some of the visuals during her set weren’t an Ice Spice diss like some fans thought. Ice Spice herself also sparked some discussion online in the wake of her performance. After a video of her performing gave the impression she was lip-syncing fans discussed whether it was true and the ethics of delivering live vocals. What did you think of The LOX, Cardi B, and Ice Spice’s performances at Hot 97 Summer Jam? Leave a comment below explaining which moments blew you away and which ones you could have done without.

Ice Spice Catches Heat For “Lip Syncing” At Hot 97 Summer Jam

Ice Spice has quickly become one of the most talked about rappers around. But after a performance at the always high-profile Hot 97 Summer Jam, talk is exactly what people did. One thing fans were talking about were the various artists Ice Spice brought out with her during the course of her performance. Kali, Flo Milli, and Lil Tjay who already has a song with the breakout star all joined her on stage during her performance. But after a tweet containing a video of her performance also accused her of lip-syncing fans’ got fans’ attention.

The tweet reads, “So my boy sends me a clip of Ice Spice performing at Hot 97 Summer Jam. I see her & her mouth moving but only heard her record.” The post came with a video attached that sees the rapper doing what looks like a lip-synced performance of her hit song “Princess Diana.” While the post isn’t particularly viral, fans who did see it expressed similar disappointment in her alleged choice to forego performing live. “My one question is where is the performance at??? Much love and respect to her come up and the X but am I lying??? or bugging???,” the tweet concludes.

Ice Spice’s Supposed Lip-Sync

Ice Spice was also subject to another controversy resulting from Summer Jam over the weekend. During Cardi B’s set, she used imagery that some fans interpreted as a direct diss of Ice Spice causing Cardi to have to clarify later that there are no hard feelings. The weekend provided two more headline-grabbing stories for an artist whose public fascination has been at an all-time high in 2023.

Within just the past few weeks Ice Spice and Nicki Minaj’s collaboration “Princess Diana” was remixed by Skrillex during a festival set. She also joined Taylor Swift for a remix of her song “Karma” which shot up the charts as a result of their team-up. Spice has also promised fans that a deluxe version of her “Like..?” EP would be dropping this summer. Though the lip-syncing allegations aren’t likely to affect the trajectory of Ice Spice’s career much they are proof that people are paying pretty close attention to the star. Let us know what you think of Ice Spice’s supposed lip-syncing in the comments below.
