Lil Durk says he wants to do a collaborative album with Morgan Wallen. He made the proclamation while speaking with Entertainment Tonight at the 2024 Grammys. In doing so, he suggested the two will be back together at the ceremony again next year. They previously worked together on the songs “Broadway Girls” and “Stand By Me.”

“It’s gonna be a collab album soon,” Durk said. “So that means I’ll see you again next year.” Durk also previously came to Wallen’s defense in 2021 when video of the singer using a racial slur went viral.

“Nah, he ain’t no racist,” Lil Durk said of Wallen during an interview with TMZ. “That’s my boy. Also, we had a long talk. He had his public situation. We had it behind closed doors. I vouch for him and he’s good. He ain’t canceled. I talked to him. When I say you ain’t canceled, you ain’t canceled.” Durk also remarked that Morgan opened his “mind to a different view of life” while speaking with the Los Angeles Times in 2023. “I went and talked to him to see what was up with [the video],” he told the outlet. “When I hung out with him, it was totally the opposite. He was nowhere near racist. That’s my dawg. I took my own risk to show the world that he isn’t that.”

Lil Durk Pops Out At Morgan Wallen’s Chicago Show

While the rap community laments the lack of a No. 1 song or album this year from the genre, Morgan Wallen sits atop the mountain. Moreover, his “One Night at a Time” world tour has been very successful so far, reflecting his massive commercial run. Most recently and notably, the tour stopped by Chicago on Thursday night (June 22) at Wrigley Field, and the country star had a special surprise. “This is where I usually step off stage and take a little break, but I’ve got a good buddy in town… he is one of Chicago’s own,” he announced to fans. “Y’all make some noise for my brother Lil Durk!”

Of course, the two performed their latest collab “Stand By Me,” which appears on Smurk’s latest album Almost Healed. Fans were overjoyed, whether for Lil Durk’s appearance or for the hit track. What’s more is that Wallen appeared at Wrigley Field a second time before heading to his next stop in Michigan. Furthermore, the two previously collaborated on the MCs album 7220 on the track “Broadway Girls.”

However, that’s far from the most acclaimed feature on Almost Healed. In fact, there’s a clear winner that people haven’t stopped talking about. Recently, Lil Durk reflected on how it took him a while to land on the perfect record to collaborate with J. Cole on before finally finding “All My Life” off the album. “He went super cr*zy,” the 30-year-old said on The Nadeska Show. “It’s so cr*zy because we’d been talking for like, two years, and he’d always be like, ‘Send me a record.’ And I’m like, ‘I gotta find the right record.’ I’m glad I waited two years.

“In my eyes, he a legend,” he went on. “If you have a chance to do a song with a legend, it be like, will you send them something just to send it, just to say you got one, or you gone make it stick. So that’s why I never just sent him a record. Cause I’m like, ‘I want something that’s gon’ stick.’” For more on Lil Durk and Morgan Wallen, stay logged into HNHH.

Lil Durk Goes Fishing With Morgan Wallen After “Almost Healed” Drops

Lil Durk is coming off hot off of the release of his latest album, Almost Healed. The highly-anticipated 21-song effort boasted many features, from Billboard darlings like J. Cole and the late Juice WRLD to up-and-coming rappers like Rob49. In addition to features from Alicia Keys, 21 Savage, and Kodak Black, Durk locked in for another record with country star Morgan Wallen. The two previously locked in for 2021’s “Broadway Girls” but it’s pretty evident that their bond has gotten stronger over the years.

The collaborators dive into the world of trap country. With production from Dr. Luke, who also produced “All My Life,” the two artists serve up a bubbly anthem with “Stand By Me” intended for TikTok and Billboard success. Wallen delivers a monstrous hook on the song while Durk dives deep into heartbreak and trust issues. With both artists on the record, “Stand By Me” looks like it’ll be one of those songs that dominated Spotify and Apple Music all summer. However, shortly after releasing the collab, the two artists celebrated with a fishing trip.

Lil Durk & Morgan Wallen Go Fishing

Lil Durk and Morgan Wallen hit the ‘Gram to share some highlights from their recent attempt at fishing. However, it doesn’t seem like Durk might head back out to the waters any time soon. “Family is family can’t nothing change that p.s. I’m done with fish,” he wrote. Meanwhile, Wallen gave Durk credit for his skills. “Durk done pulled up and taught me how to fish,” he wrote in one post as he posted alongside the rapper. In another, he posed with a catch for a selfie while plugging their recent collaboration.

Although it’s too early to say whether “Broadway Girls” will hit the top of the charts, it seems like Lil Durk will find major success on the Billboard charts next week. The rapper’s projected to move 150,000 units in his first week. However, those numbers unfortunately won’t help him secure the #1 spot. With the release of Taylor Swift’s Midnight (Til Dawn Edition), Lil Durk is on pace to debut at #2 on the Billboard 200. Still an impressive feat regardless but perhaps, he’ll end up at the top of the charts if a deluxe drops in the future.
