Billie Eilish Reacts To Artists Being Pelted By Objects

Billie Eilish has quickly become one of the biggest stars in the music world. Overall, she has some massive chart-topping hits and a couple of albums that have gone number one. That said, she also knows what it is like to have a massive and unpredictable fanbase. The more people that love you, the more opportunity for something wild to happen. Many artists have been getting a taste of that lately, as many have been pelted with objects while up on stage.

Although we haven’t seen it with Billie recently, we have seen it happen to Drake and Bebe Rexha, just to name a few. Recently, while out on the Red Carpet for the Barbie movie, Billie Eilish was asked about this recent string of fan incidents. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Eilish claims that this is nothing new. In fact, she has experienced it her whole career. That said, she knows that it is a mixed bag, and not every artist is going to be wholly appreciative of it.

“I’ve been getting hit on stage with things for like, literally, six years.” Eilish said. “I don’t know why this is, like, new. People just get excited and it can be dangerous. I have mixed feelings about it, because when you’re up there, it blows. But you know it’s out of love, and they’re just trying to give you something. […] You’re in a vulnerable position, but I’ve been getting hit with stuff for like years.”

Travis Scott’s Utopia Show Sells Out In 30 Minutes

Travis Scott is only a few weeks away from making his long-awaited return. His new album Utopia is scheduled to be released on July 28th and there’s no shortage of ways to experience it. After months of teasing Scott finally properly announced the album with a trailer last week. That trailer was accompanied by pre-orders for dozens of new merch bundles slated to drop alongside the album. The various vinyl variants of Utopia will reportedly come with five different album covers.

Travis Scott also announced a live performance associated with the album’s release. He’ll be performing the album in tandem with its release later this month at the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt. While there aren’t a whole ton of details on what the performance will be like, fans were clearly excited. When tickets went on sale earlier this week they didn’t last long. Thankfully Scott avoided a Taylor Swift-level ticket-buying fiasco, but fans who overslept aren’t likely to have gotten their hands on tickets. They were completely sold out just 30 minutes after initially going on sale. While organizers are claiming there working to get more tickets available, nothing is official yet.

Travis Scott has been building up to the release of Utopia for months. From busses spotted with the album’s logo to clothes and accessories Scott has been seen wearing he’s been building up hype for the album all year. While no features have been confirmed for the album Travis has joined a few artists on stage recently. He surprised fans by coming out during a SZA concert in the European leg of her tour last month. Just over the weekend at Wireless Fest he brought out recent breakout star Sexyy Red to play some songs with him.

Utopia is set to be Travis Scott’s first new studio album in 5 years. His previous project Astroworld came out in 2018. The album featured smash hit songs like Sicko Mode and Butterfly Effect. Boosie Badazz reacted to Usher’s recent antics from his Las Vegas residency on Twitter, Saturday night. The post comes as Usher has serenaded numerous celebrities at his concerts including Kim Kardashian, Keke Palmer, Saweetie, and more.

“AT THIS POINT USHER ON A ‘TAKE YOUR GIRL TOUR’ lol,” Boosie joked. Fans shared plenty of laughs in response. One joked, “My boy on that ‘Homewrecker tour,’” while another wrote, “That man is a menace 2 Society hahaha but go ahead usher cause I love to see it.”

Most recently, one of Usher’s concerts caused relationship drama for Keke Palmer. After Usher serenaded her at a recent show, the actress’s partner, Darius Jackson, called her out on social media. He complained about her outfit while writing, “you a mom.” In a follow-up tweet, he added: “We live in a generation where a man of the family doesn’t want the wife & mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others & he gets told how much of a hater he is. This is my family & my representation. I have standards & morals to what I believe. I rest my case.”

Palmer and Jackson appeared to unfollow each other on social media afterward. Palmer later posted a video of her son with the caption: “One thing is certain and one thing is true, IM A MOTHA, through and through!”

Drake’s Tour “Hologram” Is Actually Just Some Dude

Drake is finally touring. After initially delaying the tour from June 16 to June 29, the tour was unexpectedly pushed back another week. The tour was originally meant to begin in Memphis but actually began in Chicago on July 5. No formal explanation was given as to why the tour kept being delayed. Drake seemingly ignored the delay, declaring that he had 21 Savage’s back if anyone tried to beef with the rapper.

Regardless, the tour is now very much underway. Drake has linked up with Chance The Rapper while in Chicago. Furthermore, he hilariously reacted to a bra being thrown onto stage while in Chicago. While weird, it definitely beat the phone that was thrown at him during the tour’s opening night. Now, people are being bamboozled by a prominent part of Drake’s set design.

As part of the show, Drake appears to interact with and perform alongside a younger version of himself. Many people assumed that this was some sort of hologram, primarily based on the uncanny resemblance they held to a young Drake. However, people should have realized that maybe it was not a hologram when it handed a physical book. Holograms are not able to create hard light constructs, at least in the year 2023. Furthermore, many people pointed out that if it was a hologram, it really looked nothing like a young Drake. “We watched Degrassi bffr Drake ,” noted one person on social media.

However, it was later revealed that it was in fact just some guy and not a hologram. Imagine being a real boy and you go viral for being Drake’s hologram . A win is a win, but still…,” wrote one person on Instagram. “If you actually thought that was a hologram handing him a book… ain’t no lights on ,” chided another. Machine Gun Kelly Sings In Spanish And Disses Haters At Festival Show

Yesterday, Machine Gun Kelly performed at the Mad Cool Festival in Madrid, Spain. According to HipHopDX, right in the middle of playing a string of his biggest hits he stopped to address his fans in attendance. He spoke to the crowd completely in Spanish thanking them for their love and welcoming him into their country. He then declared that he would pay homage to their language by singing a song with them. The song he picked was Marc Cisco’s “Oy Yoy You,” which was clearly a good choice as the crowd sang along with every word.

Afterwards, Machine Gun Kelly did something he’s used to doing often, taking on haters. “Haters will say I switched genres again,” he captioned a clip he posted of the performance. Once purely a rapper, MGK notoriously took a turn for pop-punk a few years ago and has found massive success with it. Both of his pop-punk albums Tickets To My Downfall and Mainstream Sellout debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. He also scored a top-20 hit alongside blackbear with the song “My Ex’s Best Friend.” The track has since gone 3x platinum.

Another one of Machine Gun Kelly’s “haters,” at least if you ask him, is Jack Harlow. In a recent song, Harlow said that he was the best white rapper since Eminem, a comment MGK clearly took offense to. MGK brought it up with a diss at Harlow in one of his backyard freestyles. He followed that by teaming up with Doe Boy in the next episode of his freestyle series.

Machine Gun Kelly has also beefed with many others. His highly publicized beef with Eminem a few years ago resulted in some major hit diss tracks. Just recently he found himself taking shots at the frontman of 2000’s pop punk band The All-American Rejects. All of that has come alongside his ongoing relationship drama with actress Megan Fox. Playboi Carti Thanks Fans For Supporting Opium Artists

Playboi Carti fans will be the first to let you know he hasn’t released any new music in a while. His last album Whole Lotta Red dropped back in 2020 and while he’s appeared on a few features since then it’s been mostly quiet. One of the big reasons for that is his focus on the management side of things. Carti has his own label imprint Opium and his two signees Destroy Lonely and Ken Carson have been dropping plenty of music in his absence.

During a recent show, Playboi Carti stopped to thank fans for their support of Opium. In the viral clip, he shouts out Destroy Lonely and Ken Carson by name and thanks the audience for continuing to support the rappers he signs to his label. He starts his speech off by thanking fans for coming to his shows and “waiting on him.” While fans have been waiting for a while Carti’s label artists carrying on his “rage” style must be somewhat of a consolation.

The primary thing Playboi Carti fans will tell you is that they’re starving for new music. After Lil Uzi teased that collaborations with Carti and Ken Carson could appear on Pink Tape, they were disappointed to find neither showed up in the tracklist. Carti was a part of one pretty substantial release recently. The Weeknd has been releasing new music every week alongside new episodes of his show The Idol. A few weeks ago he teamed up with Carti and pop legend Madonna for a new track called “Popular.” While the track was pretty well-received fans couldn’t help but notice that Carti is only very briefly on the track.

Despite the lack of new releases Playboi Carti fans are still feverishly devoted. He continues to sell out pretty much every show he plays. A few weeks ago at Summer Smash fans got pretty hyped for his set. They were so hyped that they literally chased him around after his set finished. Lil Yachty Takes The Wock To “Poland” Six Times… In Poland

Lil Yachty’s “Poland” is probably the biggest hit he’s had in a while, coming right before his artistic evolution on Let’s Start Here. With a buzzing rage beat from none other than F1LTHY and the most woozy vocals rap has heard in a while, it’s no wonder the track became a viral sensation. Still, it was also quite interesting to see just how much success it found before Yachty switched lanes completely. While his excursions and deep immersion into the worlds of psychedelic rock, indie pop, synth-based jams, and alternative music proved excellent, “Poland” was a lucky and unorthodox strike right before his leap. With other singles coming after it like “Strike (Holster)” seeing him return to a rap bag, the style is clearly not dead.

Also, if you have a chance to perform a hit repeatedly at a show, that just proves its enduring status. Moreover, Lil Yachty recently went to Poland and performed the song six times in a row for the adoring crowd before him. Of course, you might think that it would get old after a while, but the crowd actually got louder and rowdier on some takes after the first one. What’s more is that the Atlanta MC himself also seemed to intensify each performance and get more hyped as he went on. However, the crowd sung the last one acapella, a nice send-off to thank fans in a way.

Regardless of its success, the 25-year-old had no idea it would blow up like that in the first place. Even though the song got him an invite to the country from the Polish Prime Minister, he felt odd that it hit so hard while he entered a new era. “I would’ve never dropped ‘Poland’- ever- because I wanted to pivot myself into this,” Lil Yachty told Zane Lowe. “So I was really irritated when it dropped, but I’m so grateful it did. Like I said, I really don’t know what I do next. I don’t know if I’ma do this again or do more rap.”

Meanwhile, he explained the inspiration behind the song to popular YouTube reactors Zias and B. Lou. “I’ma tell y’all the truth,” he remarked. “I was in the studio, right, working on my new album, and I was actually just trolling. My mans was just drinking a Poland Springs water bottle. I mean obviously I had some wock, but he had a Poland Springs water bottle. I was like, ‘Damn.’ And the song was a joke! I was just trolling. It leaked, and that’s why I was like, technically it’s not finished. It’s just a verse. I never finished the song, but it went cr*zy. So I was like, ‘S**t, I might as well put it out.’” We still don’t know if he has taken the wock to Poland, but playing it six times in a row probably counts. Patti LaBelle Gets Down At Usher Show

A new clip shows 79-year-old R&B singer Patti LaBelle having the time of her life at a recent Usher concert. The video was taken at his “My Way” residency at the MGM in Las Vegas. Fans are seen cheering on the icon while she dances to Ginuwine’s 1996 hit, “Pony.” Fans in the comments sections are loving her enthusiasm.

LaBelle took to social media later to share her thoughts on the show. “I’m so glad I was able to catch Usher’s show in Vegas before my concert in Primm, NV tomorrow night because it was AWESOME!,” she wrote on Twitter. The songstress continued, “Thank you @Usher and your whole team for treating me like a queen! And if you haven’t seen his show yet, this is one you do not want to miss!”

Last weekend, LaBelle was scheduled to pay tribute to the legendary Tina Turner during a performance at the 2023 BET Awards. Turner passed away due to natural causes at her home in Switzerland last month. “It was an extraordinary privilege to celebrate the life and legacy of Ms. Tina Turner at BET Awards 2023. Having the incomparable Ms. Patti LaBelle on our stage honoring one of her contemporaries was an equal privilege,” a representative for BET said. The performance was, of course, going to be major, honoring Turner’s life and legacy.

Unfortunately, LaBelle’s tribute to the late icon made headlines for other reasons. She performed hits like Turner’s 1989 Foreign Affair track “The Best,” but she had a couple of snags along the way. She fumbled a few of the song’s lyrics, admitting that she couldn’t read them on the teleprompter. “I can’t see the words and I don’t know,” she sung onstage, “I’m trying y’all.” BET later shared a statement on the mishap. “Due to the crowd’s enthusiasm, the teleprompter was obstructed, obscuring Ms. LaBelle’s view of the lyrics,” they explained. “Nonetheless, we couldn’t be more grateful to Ms. LaBelle for lending her incredible talent to this moment.“

Earl Sweatshirt To Celebrate A Decade Of “Doris” With Single Show

Ten years is a long time, and that’s how long it’s been since Earl Sweatshirt came bursting onto the scene. His debut album, Doris, is celebrating its 10-year anniversary this summer. Earl will be performing a one-night show in honor of the time-lapse, gracing The Novo stage in Los Angeles on August 19th. He will perform the entire album for the first time with collaborator Domo Genesis. Domo is on the third track in Doris, a song titled “20 Wave Caps.”

Milestones like this don’t come around very often. For a decade, Earl Sweatshirt has been a figurehead for the rap game, and Doris is what started it all. Since 2013, he’s released I Don’t Like Sh*t, I Don’t Go Outside: An Album by Earl Sweatshirt (2015) and SICK! (2022). Three albums in 10 years don’t seem like much, but Earl’s sound and precision make it so that when he does release music, it’s game-changing. Doris is a testament to this type of influence, and now the album is getting even more flowers.

Earl made quite the splash with Doris back in the early 2010s. His features on that album included Vince Staples, Tyler, the Creator, Frank Ocean, Mac Miller, and RZA. He dropped the album after a forced stint at a Somoan boarding school. He signed with Columbia Records when he was 19 years old and had the album finished that same year. This came off the coattails of his first mixtape, Earl, which he released in 2010 (Earl was 16 at the time.)

The tracklist totes 15 songs, totaling over 44 minutes of classic Earl Sweatshirt beats and verses. The album received massive critical acclaim, launching Earl to the forefront of the rap game. While he’s an acquired taste for some, others absolutely adore his sound. The Doris 10-year anniversary concert is bound to be a huge rap event, making this summer even hotter than it already is.

A fan of Pink recently threw their late mother’s ashes on stage at the singer while she was performing her hit “Just Like a Pill” during one of her recent shows at BST Hyde Park in London. A clip of the moment has been going viral on social media, Tuesday.

“Is this your mom?” Pink responded to the fan who had thrown the ashes. “I don’t know how I feel about this.” Pink appeared uncomfortable but went on singing.

Pink is currently traveling on her Summer Carnival 2023 Tour. She’ll be performing across Europe through July 16 before returning to North America for a string of shows through October 9. For the shows in London, Pink brought along Gwen Stefani. She thanked the singer for performing in an Instagram post after the show. “I have known you for a long time and I have looked up to you like a big sister. You’re the coolest, kindest, and you always have the most swag in the room,” Pink captioned a photo of them chatting backstage. “Thank you for spending your weekend with me.
