All Young Thug Wants Is T.I. And Boosie To Drop Their Joint Album

Despite still being in state custody, Young Thug is still using his Instagram to communicate with fans and fellow artists. Yesterday with a post to his Instagram story, Thugger made a request of two of his former collaborators. His post asked Boosie and T.I. to “go ahead and drop that album together. that’s all a n*gga want.” Thug, T.I., and Boosie Badazz all three worked together on the track “Can’t Tell” from Thug’s Barter 6 mixtape. Despite his words, it’s hard to believe that is the ONLY thing he wants given his legal situation.

New stories are coming out every day in regards to the YSL RICO case. Just yesterday, Young Thug’s lawyer had to come out and deny that he provided information to police about a homicide. Avoiding snitching allegations is crucial for Thugger following the drama of Gunna. The fellow YSL rapper took a plea deal which reportedly included snitching. Many other artists like Lil Baby and Lil Durk have taken issue with his actions. Even Thug might have made a statement on it with a song from his new album Business Is Business. While a track that features lyrics about snitching was recorded before the pair were arrested in the first place, its inclusion on the album has been interpreted by many as a statement of its own.

Young Thug Wants A Collab Album

Young Thug’s new album is mainly a clearing out of the vault. Producer and frequent collaborator Metro Boomin gathered together some unreleased songs from the rapper’s past to make up the tracklist of the new album. Despite the origins of the tracks, fans were excited that new music of any kind was dropping.

While official numbers aren’t in yet, Business Is Business is expected to fall short of its initial sales projections. The original projection of 110k in first week sales has since been dropped down to just 87k. What do you think of Young Thug’s request for Boosie and T.I.’s collab album to be dropped? Let us know in the comment section below.

Chance The Rapper And Vic Mensa In The Studio Together

Two of Chicago’s finest MCs are back in the studio together working on some new material. Chance The Rapper and Vic Mensa posted a new series of photos to Instagram earlier today that show the two of them in the studio together. The caption on the post reads “No “-isms” No schisms.” It’s safe to say that the pair may have some new music together coming soon. Chance and Vic have collaborated together numerous times in their long working relationship. Vic provided a legendary guest verse to the fan-favorite song “Cocoa Butter Kisses” from Chance’s Acid Rap project.

The most recent times the pair teamed up were on Vic Mensa’s standout 2021 single “Shelter.” They joined forces again last year on Chance The Rapper’s “Wraith” alongside Smoko Ono. The comments under the post are about what you’d expect. Fans are excited about the prospect of new music. Many of the comments asked Chance where his new album is. He hasn’t released a new record since 2019’s critically maligned The Big Day. Despite the reputation that the album has fans are clearly looking forward to what’s next.

Chance The Rapper And Vic Mensa Get To Work

In a recent interview Chance The Rapper teased that he’s working on a new album. He told Audacy that the album is “one of my proudest projects in terms of writing and artistic vision.” Whether Chance and Vic are working on music for that new project or something else is unclear. What is clear is just how badly fans want new Chance music as they beg for the new album in the comments of nearly everything he posts.

Outside of Vic Mensa Chance is looking to collaborate with some other artists. Recently in a late-night interview he mentioned that he would work with Peppa Pig “in a heartbeat.” While nothing has materialized yet, that didn’t stop fans from imagining what a potential Chance and Peppa collab may sound like. What do you think of Chance The Rapper and Vic Mensa getting back in the studio together? Let us know in the comment section below.

Lil Tjay Hints At Upcoming Collab With Jadakiss

Lil Tjay recently took to social media to reveal that he has a collaboration with Jadakiss on the way. He posted a screenshot on Instagram, showcasing Jadakiss sending over what appears to be his verse for the track. Fans in the comments section noted that his upcoming album is sure to be jam-packed with features.

Earlier this year, Lil Tjay shared more about the upcoming album in an Instagram Story. “Putting my all into this album this gon be my best one yet,” he said, “When I step better show me my respect ima vet.” The rapper continued, “Don’t try spin the block. Jadakiss Sends Lil Tjay His Verse

Lil Tjay’s next album will be his third LP, following 2021’s Destined 2 Win and 2019’s True 2 Myself. The rapper has continued to tease the untitled release. Earlier this month, he dropped off the single “June 22nd,” which sees him reflect on the near-death experience he had last year. Exactly one year prior to the song’s release, he was shot seven times in a robbery gone wrong. The track takes listeners through the day leading up to the incident, with Lil Tjay taking an introspective approach to telling his story. He’s been able to make a full recovery since the shooting. In April, he told fans “Most people don’t survive it, but I’m here. Here for a reason.”

Earlier this month, Lil Tjay had a confrontation with police in NYC after waving a fake gun outside of a sunroof. He was arrested on charges of reckless endangerment, criminal possession of a weapon, and more, and the whole incident unfolded on Instagram Live.

Quavo & Offset Reportedly Have No Plans For New Music

Quavo & Offset certainly had fans going wild from the comfort of their homes on Sunday night. Overall, this is due to their incredible performance at the BET Awards. Many people thought they would never see this take place. Although they had been beefing for over a year, they came back together to honor Takeoff. It was a massive performance that felt cathartic for so many reasons. Moreover, it has led to lots of speculation about what the future may be for these two legendary artists.

According to TMZ, there are a few things to consider about the Quavo & Offset reunion. First and foremost, they have actually been cool for a few months at this point. However, they only went public with their rekindled camaraderie over the weekend. This is obviously a good sign as some were fearful that Sunday was some sort of one-off event. That said, fans should be wary of getting their hopes up in regard to new Migos music. For now, both men are going to hold off on a collab.

As the outlet reports, neither has an interest in dropping a collaborative song or album right now. Additionally, it is very much unknown whether or not they would call themselves Migos. What is known at this point, however, is that no one will replace Takeoff. Instead, it would simply remain a duo. This will come as good news to fans who want the group to keep its sanctity. After all, Takeoff is truly irreplaceable and it would be jarring to see someone else in the group.

Hopefully, Quavo & Offset drop something in the future. However, it is understandable that they are taking a bit of a break for now. They just started becoming cool again, and that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s time to make music together again. Let us know what you think about their recent decision, in the comments section below. Burna Boy And 21 Savage Seen Filming Music Video After Song Leak

Burna Boy and 21 Savage were beaten to the release of “Sittin’ On Top Of the World” by an online leaker. On June 22, the vintage afrobeat track was put up by a third party and widely shared across social media.

On June 23, Burna Boy released the song’s official audio on his YouTube channel. Furthermore, the song has also been made available on Spotify. At the time of writing, it has been streamed a little over 7000 times.

It’s unclear whether the duo were planning to release the track, or had their hand forced after it was leaked. However, the official audio release and Spotify drop indicate that they may have simply had their premier stolen out from under them. More evidence to this theory has appeared online, with footage of the pair apparently filming a music video together.

“Sittin’ On Top Of The World” Music Video Coming?

Shared by 2Cool2Bl0g, the brief footage shows the pair performing on a soundstage surrounded by cameras. At this point, it feels safe to say that they had intend to release “Sittin’ On Top Of The World” with or without the leaker beating them to it.

For Burna Boy, it’s his second big collab of the last 12 months. In 2022, he released “For My Hand”, which featured Ed Sheeran. Elsewhere, he also served as the featured artist on Indian rapper Sidhu Moose Wala’s “Mera Na” earlier in 2023.

Meanwhile, it’s 21 Savage’s third time as a featured artist this year. First, he featured alongside DaBaby on Gucci Mane’s “06 Gucci”. Then he joined Young Nudy for “Peaches & Eggplants”, which peaked at #74 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Unreleased Drake Song Heard In Houston Club

However, Burna Boy and 21 Savage aren’t the only people to have their unreleased music show up online. Area 29, located in Westwood in southwest Houston, treated fans to a reportedly unreleased track from Drizzy earlier this week.

Footage from inside the club was shared by Our Generation Music on Instagram. However, fans in the comments were not blown away by the song. Furthermore, others felt that Drake came off as “sassy.”

In other news surrounding Drake releases, the rapper appeared to confirm that he would be featuring on Business Is Business, the upcoming album from Young Thug. In fact, Drake appears twice on the album, featuring on “Parade On Cleveland” and “Oh U Went”.

Stormzy Locks In With Fredo On “Toxic Trait”

Stormzy remains a leading figure in the UK rap scene, although he’s shown that he’s much more than an MC. Since his debut album, Gang Signs & Prayers, his appreciation for gospel and soul music have trickled through his catalog but none more than on 2022’s This Is What I Mean. The majority of the project found Stormz’ in a plaintive space but fans hoped that he’d come through with some bangers.

It seems that he listened to the fans and slid through with some new heat this week. The rapper came through with the release of his new single, “Toxic Trait” ft. Fredo. Produced by Dave Santan, who recently dropped off his joint project with Central Cee, Stormzy and Fredo deliver a blistering banger that finds them showcasing their lyrical tenacity on wax. Hopefully, it signals that a follow-up to This Is What I Mean come soon.

Stormzy & Fredo Deliver A Banger

A large part of the record revolves around Stormzy’s growth throughout his career. Emerging into the rap game in his early 20s, he recently reflected on his maturity as he approaches his 30s. “There’s a difference between doing music at 22 and when you’re about to turn 30,” Stormzy recently told Dazed Magazine. “It’s the kind of peace and stability and stillness you can only get from maturity. You lose all the nervous shivers and the anxiety; you shake it off because now you’re a grown man coming into your skin.”

As for Fredo, the UK rapper came through with a few new records this year including “Everybody Knows.” His last album Scorpion dropped in 2022 and he also came through with a couple of features. Dave, on the other hand, is getting deeper into his production bag. Along with collaborating with Central Cee on Split Decision, he also contributed to the majority of the production on the project. Press play on Stormzy’s new single above and sound off with your thoughts in the comments.

Young Thug Promises Drake He “Will Be Paid” For “Parade on Cleveland” & “Oh U Went” Features

Last New Music Friday (June 16) it was Gunna’s a Gift & a Curse album that had hip-hop heads talking. Now, it’s Young Thug’s turn to show out on his surprise BUSINESS IS BUSINESS project, which hit DSPs at midnight (June 23). The 15-track effort is the Atlanta native’s first LP since his arrest last year as part of a sweeping RICO indictment along with several other co-defendants. Throughout his lyrics, Thugger addresses those who allegedly snitched on him to gain back their own freedom while working alongside a group of impressive collaborators.

He and Future come together for “Cars Bring Me Out,” and we hear from 21 Savage, Travis Scott, and Yak Gotti on “Wit Da Racks” immediately after. The Houston-born rager also appears on “Abracadabra,” while the “Rich Ni**a Sh*t” hitmaker joins Thug again later on “Want Me Dead.” We also hear from Nate Ruess, BSlime, and Lil Gotit, but the guest appearance that fans appear to be most excited about so far is Drake. The Canadian came through on two separate titles, opening the album with “Parade on Cleveland” and resurfacing again midway through the tracklist on “Oh U Went.”

A post shared by DJ Akademiks (@akademiks)

Ahead of BUSINESS IS BUSINESS arrival, Drizzy took to Instagram to promote his “Way 2 Sexy” collaborator’s work. “You owe me this time,” the father of one wrote in the comments, seemingly hinting that he’s waiting on a paycheck from Thug.

Even from behind bars, the YSL leader managed to get a message out assuring Drake that he’ll get his money. “[You] will be paid,” the So Much Fun artist promised. As expected, both songs are among the highest praised on BUSINESS IS BUSINESS so far, though the overall album reception so far has some critics showing favour towards Gunna’s LP over Thug’s.

Coi Leray Says She’d Turn Down An Eminem Collab Without Her Father’s Approval

In a recent podcast appearance, Coi Leray opened up about her relationship with her father, Benzino. She revealed that it was tough at times growing up with him. Coi says that despite this, she’d ride for her father no matter what. She even says that if Eminem reached out for a collaboration, she’d turn the opportunity down if he didn’t approve. Benzino has long-standing beef with the rapper, and Coi Leray thinks collaborating with him could be a step too far.

“I would sit down with my father, first of all, and bring it up to him,” she said on Math Hoffa’s My Expert Opinion. “I wouldn’t even ask. I’d be like, ‘Yo, listen. This is what happened. I’m not even expecting an answer. I just need to tell you right away.’” The artist also added, “Me and my father could never be speaking for f*****g years. If that was to happen, I’d be like, ‘Hold on, let me just tell you this. Let me bring it to your attention.’ hopefully, he’ll be like, ‘Yo, you know what? Do it.’

Benzino Has Beef With Eminem

Back in 2022, Benzino took to Twitter, sharing his thoughts on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducting Eminem. “Rock and roll hall of fame is just like the Grammy’s,” he wrote. “They have no respect for our culture, Black or Hip Hop and if you don’t agree, you’re racist, period point blank.” He also asked, “So where’s Nas, Eric B and RAKIM, Kool Moe D, Epmd, Fearless Four, Fat Boyz, Lauren Hill, Little Kim, OutKast and 100s other Black rappers??” Adding, “GTFOH.”

Coi Leray stuck up for Eminem at the time, sharing her own feelings about the rapper being inducted. “I’m about love, equality, respect and forgiveness,” she explained. “I have nothing against Eminem, 25 years of my life all I know is he a very talented artist and actor! (8 Mile was great) Let’s build bridges and get over them before you burn the bridge and burn with it,” she wrote on Twitter. He later responded to his daughter coming to Eminem’s defense, writing “As far as the lil [parrot] who keeps talking about love and forgiveness. Well there’s this word called ‘loyalty’ and a commandment that says ‘Honor thy Mother and Father.’”

Bad Bunny Divulges On Travis Scott Collaboration

Bad Bunny is easily one of the biggest artists in the entire world. Although he may not be as massive in the United States as someone like Taylor Swift, he is more of a global superstar. He has some of the best album sales in the world right now, and that is not going to change. However, it has been some time since he released new music. Over the past few months, he has made it clear that 2023 is all about resting up and taking a nice break.

Ultimately, this is a well-deserved break, albeit a sad one for his fans. Of course, they want to hear new music, and it is going to be a while before he delivers some. Thankfully, we did sort of get some new Bad Bunny by way of a snippet from Travis Scott. While out at a club appearance, Scott played the Bad Bunny-assisted track, which some speculated could be for UTOPIA. However, the prevailing notion is that it is for a Chase B project.

Bad Bunny x Travis Scott

In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Bad Bunny spoke about how life has been as of late. He also got to touch on the Travis collab, and the fanfare around it. “We worked on that a while back — and I think Travis has been working on his project for a minute,” the artist explained. From there, he went on to talk about how he is already thinking of what is next for him. “I spend so much time thinking about what I’m going to do next, thinking and creating, imagining things,” he said. “I already know where I’m going.”

Hopefully, we get the Bad Bunny and Travis Scott collaboration this year. If there is anything we do know, it is that UTOPIA is coming out, very soon. We cannot wait to hear it, and neither can Scott’s fans. Let us know what you think of the Bad Bunny and Travis Scott snippet, down below. NBA Youngboy Makes Second Post Since Reactivating Instagram

Yesterday, NBA Youngboy returned to Instagram after his account had long been deactivated. He posted a photo of himself with his cat and a caption that seemed to address those who were talking about him while he was gone. “Same color of my cat eyes the last color you gone see when I Swang on yo b*tch a*s.
Ps. I wont forget who said my name,” the post’s caption said. It was accompanied by two more photos of Youngboy and his black cat on a collar and harness.

Today, NBA Youngboy returned to Instagram once again. This time the pics highlighted Youngboy himself showing off some of his drip across four photos. ” F*cked up narratives, hurt deep knowing that ain’t your character. Don’t even know me,” the caption reads. He seems to once again be addressing those that have been talking on his name while he’s been absent from Instagram. While it’s unclear what “narratives” specifically he’s talking about it appears that he’s back in place to correct some misconceptions.

NBA Youngboy Continues Posting

These posts weren’t the only appearances NBA Youngboy made on Instagram recently. Last week, he made an appearance on another reclusive star’s Instagram story, Playboi Carti. The “Magnolia” rapper posted a picture of Youngboy sporting an Opium chain. Opium is the label that Playboi Carti operates under Interscope. The post sparked rumors of a collab between Youngboy, Carti, and some of the various artists on the label’s roster like Ken Carson and Destroy Lonely.

Youngboy has had an extremely prolific 2023 already dropping three entire projects. At the beginning of the year all the way back in January, he dropped I Rest My Case. He followed that up with Don’t Try This At Home a massive 90-minute project that sported features from Nicki Minaj, Post Malone, and The Kid LAROI. His most recent album Richest Opp dropped last month with a far more scant 50-minute runtime. What do you think of NBA Youngboy’s new Instagram post? Let us know in the comment section below.
