Rome Streetz & Daringer Unleash “Starbvxkz” Ahead Of New Album

It’s long been rumored that Rome Streetz and Daringer would be teaming up for a new collaborative project. Late last week, the duo finally confirmed this with the release of its lead single. The album is titled Hatton Garden Holdup and is currently slated for release on October 4. Reportedly, the project also boasts various high-profile features. ScHoolboy Q, Conway The Machine, Meyhem Lauren, and Cormega are expected to make appearances.

They went in alone on their first single “Starbvxkz,” however. It arrived last week alongside a dreamy accompanying music video based in West London, directed by Rome’s manager, Coach Bombay 3000. The track delivers all of the old-school energy one would expect from the pair and also serves as a solid introduction to the upcoming album. The new project will follow Rome’s EP with producer Wavy Da Ghawd, Buck 50, which they unveiled in May of this year.

It will also arrive after Daringer’s contributions to Action Bronson’s JOHANN SEBASTIAN BACHLAVA THE DOCTOR and Conway The Machine’s Slant Face Killah, which were both released earlier this year. What do you think of Rome Streetz and Daringer’s new track? What about its accompanying music video directed by Coach Bombay 3000? Will you be adding “Starbvxkz” to your playlist or not? Are you looking forward to listening to their upcoming project Hatton Garden Holdup when it drops next month? Share your thoughts in the comments section and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates. Lithe Teams Up With Lil Tjay For “Fall Back”

In July of this year, Melbourne-based artist Lithe unleashed his latest EP, What Would You Do? The project includes his track “Fall Back,” which he unveiled as part of a two-pack earlier this year. Last month, he dropped a remix of the fan-favorite song featuring NAV. Now, he’s released yet another version of it featuring none other than Lil Tjay.

Lil Tjay’s verse is a welcome addition to the laid-back song, as he walks effortlessly on the beat and matches the pace well. He spits about reserving his “positive energy” for himself, so as not to put all that he’s worked for at risk. It arrives alongside an accompanying music video which shows them hanging out in the studio, onstage performing, counting cash, and more. The release follows various singles Lil Tjay has released in recent months including “No No,” “Took A While (Be Us),” and “Fed Up” with Kay Flock. It also dropped the same day as his new track with Shiva, “Replay.”

The collab comes after Lil Tjay released his album 222 last year, which boasts various high-profile features from the likes of NBA YoungBoy, Summer Walker, Jadakiss, and more. What do you think of Lithe dropping a new version of “Fall Back” featuring a verse from Lil Tjay? Will you be adding it to your playlist or not? What about its accompanying music video? Share your thoughts in the comments section and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates. Check out the song and its video down below.

The Weeknd And Playboi Carti Debut New Song Together In Brazil

The Weeknd brought Playboi Carti on stage during his massive concert in São Paulo, Brazil on Saturday night to debut a new collaboration. The appearance comes after Carti shared a screenshot of himself on FaceTime with the iconic singer, last month. The two previously worked together on the song “Popular” with Madonna as well.

Carti kicked off his time on stage with a performance of his Travis Scott collaboration, “FE!N.” Rocking a throwback Vince Carter jersey, he then transitioned into the previously unheard new song. Both The Weeknd and Carti are preparing for new albums that are expected to release before the end of the year. Further details on the upcoming track are unclear.

São Paulo and Rio reminded me that the frequencies we radiate as musicians are important. They remind me why I wanted to make music: to connect. I’ll spend the rest of my life knowing that.”

Kaytranada Clarifies Beyonce Criticism After Fans Come For Him On Social Media

Kaytranada has spoken out on social media after his claim about Beyonce lowballing him for a collaboration request. He has been facing the wrath of the singer’s fanbase on social media after saying in an interview with Vulture that she wanted the rights to his remix of “Cuff It.” He remarked to the outlet: “Sometimes people don’t see your worth and how important you are. I know what I mean to people.”

In a since-deleted post on X (formerly Twitter), he clarified: “Mannnn I didn’t drag her that’s just what happened. The remix didn’t get a release and it is what it is but later that year I opened [for] her on tour AND on her Bday on top of that. Now what? I love that girl & y’all ain’t gonna make me look like I ain’t rocking with her.”

It’s not the first time Kaytranada has revealed that a high-profile collaboration fell through. Speaking with Montreality for a previous interview, he explained that Drake requested he work on Honestly, Nevermind, but it never came to fruition. “I met Drake in L.A. one time, and that was it, really. At one point, one of his boys was like, ‘Your boy wants some beats. He’s gonna do a house album.’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, sure, hit me up.’ That’s my thing: anybody that wanna work with me, just hit me up. Maybe my reaction rubbed them the wrong way, but I was just saying, ‘Hey, if you’re serious, hit me up, let’s work, for real.’”

Kaytranada also mentioned that story during the Vulture piece, adding: “Was I supposed to be like, ‘Oh my God, for real? Drake?’ I’m not like that.” Be on the lookout for further updates on Kaytranada on HotNewHipHop.

GloRilla Flaunts Her Singing Abilities In New Muni Long Track

Muni Long just dropped her new album Revenge, which arrived today boasting a lone feature from GloRilla. The Memphis-born performer is known for her rapping skills, though on “Leave My Baby Tonight,” she broadens her horizons. GloRilla shows off her singing abilities on the lively track, and her fans are here for it.

GloRilla’s longtime supporters know that she started off singing in her church’s choir, but later switched to rapping after losing her voice. Nowadays, it’s not often that she goes back to her roots as a vocalist, but most fans appreciate it when she does. “Glo can do NO wrong!” one Instagram user writes in The Neighborhood Talk‘s comments section. “Love to see it,” another says.

GloRilla Shows Off Her Versatility On “Leave My Baby Tonight”

Unfortunately, not everyone is sold. Some commenters are urging Glo to stick to rapping, insisting that it’s simply what she does best. “No shade! But not every rap girl can pull off what Nicki & Doja can,” one argues. “Versatility isn’t for everyone,” someone else claims. This is far from the only debate GloRilla’s found herself at the center of lately, however. Recently, she promoted her single with Rob49 and Skilla Baby with a risqué dancing video, which prompted some backlash from followers.

Some even speculated that her label was encouraging her to sexualize herself, though she quickly shut these rumors down. “Don’t worry about what me and my titties doing. B*tch, I bought them,” she explained on Instagram Live. “Y’all just be swearing muthaf*ckas make muthaf*ckas do sh*t. Like everything I do I be wanting to do it. Y’all just got to learn to mind your business sometimes.” What do you think of GloRilla’s new track with Muni Long? Do you think she should sing more, or stick to rapping? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

The Alchemist Hints At J Cole Collaboration For “The Fall Off”

J Cole may have landed a collaboration with The Alchemist for his upcoming album, The Fall Off. Answering questions from fans on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, Alc replied with a zipper-mouth face emoji when a user asked if he produced any tracks on the highly-anticipated project. He also addressed working with another Dreamville artist in JID. “Stay tuned and find out,” he remarked of that possibility.

In responses to the post, fans demanded to know when The Fall Off will actually be dropping. It’s been over three years since Cole’s last studio album, The Off-Season, although he did release the mixtape, Might Delete Later, back in April. Other fans joked that the long-awaited Grand Theft Auto 6 may end up releasing before fans get their hands on Cole’s next effort.

Daylyt, who appeared on the Might Delete Later cut “Pi,” revealed that he heard The Fall Off back in April. “Cole is going out with a nuclear missile, I’m telling y’all that,” he said on Instagram live at the time. “It’s his last go-around and he literally was like, ‘I don’t give a f*ck about radio; I just wanna show the world my pen before I die.’ I heard it, all of it. It is the most amazingest rapping I have seen and heard thus far.”

The Alchemist Might Be Teaming Up With J Cole

Alchemist’s Q&A on X comes after he announced a new concert series, ALC & Friends, the first installment of which will be taking place in Los Angeles in October. Quavo Says He’ll “Never Forget” Working With Drake In Wholesome Throwback Post

Quavo showed love to Drake on his Instagram Story on Monday while sharing a video of the Toronto rapper joking about the Migos’ adlibs on stage seemingly ahead of one of their Aubrey & the Three Migos Tour shows. “Never forget what we did gang!!!” Quavo captioned the post. “Migo gang 4L Drake Sinatra.”

When AkademiksTV reshared the post on Instagram, fans in the comments section used it to speak on Drake’s feud with Kendrick Lamar. Lamar had accused Drake of exploiting Atlanta artists to remain relevant on his diss track, “Not Like Us.” One user commented: “Look at that. The biggest artist from the biggest group of the 2010s decade is giving Drake flowers. Bots swear everyone hates him.” Another added: “Kdot thought he could break up his atl connection.” One more fan expanded to say: “It’s funny … people keep saying he used the migos or Atl but all the ATL artist definitely have spoke highly of him and thanked him for reaching out.. but this also goes to show how great kendrick is because he literally painted a narrative that people follow regardless of interviews and people speaking out saying the complete opposite.. n***a rewrote history with a pen.”

Pooh Shiesty’s Cardi B Crush May Have Formed Years Ago

Last week, Pooh Shiesty made headlines for a flirty comment he left for Cardi B during an Instagram Live. “I’m 5 mins away baby open the door,” he wrote simply. The femcee recently filed for divorce from her husband Offset after seven years together and is currently expecting their third child. It’s unclear whether or not Cardi is interested, but she’s yet to respond to the advance.

This isn’t the first time Pooh Shiesty has expressed interest in linking up with her, however. During an interview with Spotify’s “Rap Caviar,” for example, he listed her as a dream collaborator along with Lil Wayne. He went on to appear on Cigar Talk, where he once again said he wanted to collaborate. Sadly, it doesn’t look like this will happen anytime soon, as the rapper is currently behind bars.

Pooh Shiesty Shoots His Shot

Hopefully, Cardi will consider it when he gets out in a few years. While Pooh Shiesty’s flirty comment doesn’t exactly come as a surprise considering his past appreciation for Cardi B, it did seemingly prompt a response from her ex. Offset took to X as the message made its rounds online with a simple series of laughing emojis. This appears to suggest that he’s unbothered, though that’s unconfirmed. As for Cardi, she has a lot on her plate these days considering her pregnancy and pending divorce. Right now, for instance, she’s in the process of hunting for an apartment in New York.

She told fans on Instagram Live that she never liked living in Atlanta, despite her and her ex owning a home there. Cardi’s also working on her eagerly anticipated sophomore album, which does not yet have an official release date. What do you think of Pooh Shiesty shooting his shot with Cardi B last week? Are you surprised or not? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Drake & Benny The Butcher’s “Buffalo Freestyle” Vanishes From Streaming Services

Earlier this week, Benny The Butcher fans were greeted by a welcome surprise, the Griselda rapper’s new EP Buffalo Butch, Vol. 1. The project boasts various high-profile features from the likes of Fabolous, 38 Spesh, and of course, Drake. Their long-awaited collab “Buffalo Freestyle” was a fan favorite, but sadly, it along with the rest of the EP was quickly removed from streaming services.

For obvious reasons, fans are disappointed, and wondering what happened. Reportedly, it disappeared from Spotify yesterday (August 23), and other streaming services followed shortly after. For now, it remains unclear exactly what prompted its removal, but as expected, social media users have some theories.

Fans Wonder Why Buffalo Butch, Vol. 1 Got Removed

Two tracks from the EP, the ones that do not feature Drake, are still live on Benny’s YouTube channel. “Buffalo Freestyle” says it’s been removed due to a copyright claim by Universal Music Group. Benny The Butcher has yet to address the debacle. This is far from the first time there have been issues with the release of the song, however. Benny first announced that he recorded a track with Drake in 2020. In 2021, he shared that they traded songs to appear on each others’ projects, adding that it may not ever come out. He noted that he was frustrated by the situation, but didn’t blame Drake.

“I was pissed, I’m not gon’ lie. It’s a f*cking Drake record,” he said at the time of the track not getting an official release. “It was my biggest record…It’s a record just sitting in my pocket but I understand the mechanics of the business… No way did I take it like ‘Damn he f*cked me over.’ I swear to God I didn’t take it like that because this is Drake; the biggest artist in the world.” What do you think of Benny The Butcher’s new EP, Buffalo Butch, Vol. 1, disappearing from streaming services? Are you disappointed? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

That Mexican OT, Currensy & Les Travel Back To “1982” On New Single: Stream

After destroying Denzel Curry’s “BLACK FLAG FREESTYLE,” That Mexican OT is still bringing some boisterous energy to the rap game through fiery verses. His latest example of this is his new collaboration with Curren$y and Le$, “1982.” Moreover, this track consists of a pretty smooth and crisp drum beat, distant but dramatic horns, and atmospheric embellishments. The Texas MC is as charismatic and confident as ever on this cut, showing off the credentials that landed him on the 2024 XXL Freshman Class.

Of course, That Mexican OT’s drowsy but powerful vocal delivery is a big part of this appeal, but on “1982,” he flexes some dynamic and well-structured flows with dominant skill. Le$ chills things out on the second verse with a more straightforward flow, and Curren$y’s appearance on the last third is even more woozy and engaging when it comes to his rhyme schemes. The “AR” MC got one with this single, and mixed hype with harmony in a pretty unique way.

That Mexican OT, Le$, and Curren$y will probably drop more material in 2024, and if it keeps building off the strength of cuts like “Talkin In Screw,” then we’re in for some treats. If you haven’t heard “1982” yet, you can find it on your preferred streaming service or check out the music video on YouTube below. Down there, you can also find some standout bars plus the comments section for you to leave your thoughts on the track. As always, stick around on HNHH for more of the hottest rap releases around the clock.
