Nicki Minaj Suggests Tamar Braxton Collab At Her Request

With Pink Friday 2 less than a month away, a lot of fans can’t wait to see what Nicki Minaj will bring us. Of course, die-hards want to hear her singles in the context of a full project and see what else she will display and discuss in her long-awaited studio album follow-up to 2018’s Queen, and the sequel to her 2010 classic Pink Friday. A big part of that, though, is the features included. However, it looks like the Queen is also interested in writing material for other artists. As she ruminated on possibilities and asked fans to chime in, she got reconnected with Tamar Braxton, who’s eager to work with her.

“I’d like to write a song for someone,” the Trinidadian MC expressed in a recent tweet. When a fan asked for her elaborated thoughts, she replied: “It could be a rapper or a singer.” That’s when the R&B star and TV personality made her case, although she slightly misunderstood the question. “I mean… I got a song… or 20 you’d be great on,” Tamar Braxton wrote to Nicki Minaj.

Tamar Braxton Hits Up Nicki Minaj, She Hints At Collab

“Tay Tay!” she replied excitedly, and though she didn’t have the best news, she hinted at bigger things to come from them. “The tweet was to write a whole song for someone. Also, I got your vocals still boo. We might have to update them a tad bit, put da Tamar sauce on it, etc. I’ll hit you [heart emoji] plus I want tickets to your show.” As such, maybe Nicki Minaj will get the chance to work with Tamar Braxton on Pink Friday 2, or on another single or project of the singer’s. Even though the rapper’s most recent single won’t appear on PF2, it still caused a lot of excitement and satisfied reactions from the Barbz.

Meanwhile, we could only guess as to who will make the cut when it comes to featured artists. The rest of Young Money is an obvious ask, but plenty of other femcees, artists, and musicians could create magic on Pink Friday 2 in addition to Braxton. With only a couple of weeks to go, there’s never been a better time to theorize. For more news and the latest updates on Nicki Minaj and Tamar Braxton, check back in with HNHH.

Britney Spears Dances In Cheetah Print Thong To Beyonce While Asking Jay-Z To Collab

Britney Spears isn’t a woman who’s easy to understand, but that’s not stopping her from expressing herself freely. The blonde beauty shamelessly posts and deletes content on Instagram, usually consisting of NSFW dancing videos for which she wears little more than animal print thongs. On Monday (October 9) afternoon, Spears shared yet another clip captured in her living room, this one soundtracked to Beyonce’s “Daddy Lessons.” While twirling around in her cheetah panties, the mother of two smiles for her fans and lip syncs along.

“So many people have done remixes to my songs without my knowledge,” Spears wrote in the caption of her since-deleted post. “So I guess it’s safe to say I will be redoing this song eventually 🎵!!! Just need to meet Jay-Z and add a rap to it… What’s up?” the Mississippi native went on, seemingly publicly shooting her shot with the Roc Nation mogul.

Britney Spears Posts and Deletes Jay-Z Collab Request

Things have been relatively quiet on the music from the “Gimme More” artist so far in 2023, so it’s nice to know she’s interested in making a return to the studio. She and will.i.am came together on “MIND YOUR BUSINESS” in the summer. Prior to that, the last time we heard her was in 2022 on “Hold Me Closer” with Elton John. As for albums, Spears dropped off the deluxe cut of her Glory LP in 2020, featuring just one guest appearance from G-Eazy.

Even if we never hear a collaboration between Jay-Z and Britney Spears, there’s always hope for her to link up in the studio with Plies. Practically every salacious dancing video that the Pop Princess has shared has earned a hilarious reaction video from the rapper, and he seems more than willing to collaborate with her. Read what Plies had to say about his “Hot Cheetoh” earlier today at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Cardi B Doesn’t Want Artists She Works With To “Pick Sides”

Cardi B has spoken on the notion of artists “picking sides” by working with her. “If I like you, and I meet you, and we do a song together, I am not looking for you to pick a side. You can work with whoever you wanna work with because at the end of the day, this is a business and you gotta look out for yourself,” Cardi said in a recent interview.

The issue has become more and more prevalent in recent years as Cardi has become involved in beef with the likes of Nicki Minaj. This has led many people to believe that collaborators have to pick sides between the two in order to work with them. However, at least Cardi believes that she has no problem with people who work with those against her as long as she vibes with them also.

Cardi Addresses “Illuminati” Claims Leveled By Kanye

Elsewhere, Cardi has been forced to address bizarre claims made by Kanye West. West called Cardi an “Illuminati plant”. In response, Cardi reshared an interview Kanye did with Jason Lee last year in which he praised Cardi. “I was finishing that verse for your girl, you know what I mean? I’ve always believed in her since she was on the show,” Kanye said in the clip that Cardi responded to with a heart emoji.

Meanwhile, Cardi has also threatened to wreck havoc on the internet. “I been trying not to disappoint my fans because I’ve been trying to be Cardi B the professional. But Belcalis the Demon, it be really close to come out. And I don’t want that because I don’t want to disappoint my fans. I’ma just say this: people love Cinderella until Cinderella get a glass house. Leave me the fuck alone because I come with receipts. Years old receipts. I got receipts on all you bitches and n-ggas.”

Drake Posts “Yeat Carry” T-Shirt, Uses Grammy As A Doorstop

Drake unveiled his latest project For All The Dogs yesterday, and as expected, it’s jam-packed with high-profile features. The album includes appearances from J. Cole, SZA, Lil Yachty, Bad Bunny, and more. One track even features a verse from 23-year-old performer Yeat. The collab didn’t come as too much of a surprise for fans, as Drake’s shown love to the California-born musician in the past. Last month, Drizzy shared a shot of Yeat on his Instagram Story, which many fans thought was a hint that he’d be on For All The Dogs.

He also got listeners talking when he gave Yeat a shoutout on his It’s All A Blur tour over the summer, putting him up on the jumbotron. The social media sleuths were proven right when the project dropped, and Yeat was featured on the track “IDGAF.” Drake took to his Instagram Story once again last night, giving the artist a bit of a shoutout ahead of his Toronto performance. He shared a photo of a man rocking a black t-shirt, complete with the phrase “Yeat Carry” written in white. The post seems to be a nod to Yeat and Drake’s haters at the same time, and commenters appear to think it’s pretty amusing.

Elsewhere on his story, Drake also shared a photo from what appeared to be his dressing room. The hitmaker was sure to flex his Grammy in the post, using the coveted award as a doorstop. The move is a nod to his new track “First Person Shooter” with J. Cole, in which he raps “I told Jimmy Jam I use a GRAMMY as a door stop.”

Nicki Minaj Fan Calls Drake’s Dad About Missing Collab Amid “For All The Dogs” Backlash

Drake finally dropped his eagerly-anticipated new album For All The Dogs this morning. The project includes features from the likes of J. Cole, Lil Yachty, Bad Bunny, and more. It even features the Canadian hitmaker’s 5-year-old son, Adonis. Fans were glad to wake up to the new LP, but were quick to notice that something was missing.

Back in July, Drake claimed that Nicki Minaj would be featured on the album during one of his shows. “Me and Nicki Minaj did our first song in like, a really long time,” he told his Detroit crowd. “I got a lot of love for her.” This, of course, got fans excited to see #Dricki reunited. The Barbz have been looking forward to hearing Nicki’s contribution to the album, and are let down that it just inexplicably didn’t drop.

The Barbz Call Drake’s Dad

Fans were so thirsty for answers that they even took things up with Drake’s dad. One Barb called him, sharing a clip of their conversation on Twitter. Unfortunately, Dennis wasn’t able to provide much intel, telling the fan “I have no clue what you’re talking about.” This has left the Barbz to speculate. Some are suggesting that the missing collab could be a reflection of Drake’s questionable loyalty to Nicki.

Many claim that Drake used Nicki and her fanbase to promote his new album, but failed to actually deliver what he promised. Some have also dug up an old clip of Drake praising her longtime rival, Cardi B, and bringing her out onstage at OVO Fest in 2019. Considering the beef Nicki and Cardi have had going on as of late, some think the scrapped feature indicates that Drake’s trying to play both sides. What do you think of fans calling Drake’s dad to ask about the missing Nicki Minaj collab? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates on Drake and Nicki Minaj.

J. Cole Uses “For All The Dogs” Track To Address NBA YoungBoy Beef Rumors

J. Cole used his feature on For All The Dogs to address the rumors that he has beef with NBA YoungBoy. “N-ggas so thirsty to put me in beef/ Dissectin’ my words and start lookin’ too deep/ I look at the tweets and start suckin’ my teeth/ I’m lettin’ it rock ’cause I love the mystique/I still wanna get me a song with YB/ Can’t trust everything that you saw on IG/ Just know if I diss you, I made sure you know that I hit you like I’m on your caller ID,” Cole raps on “First Person Shooter”.

The clarification comes after YoungBoy took a shot at Cole on “Fuck The Industry Pt. 2” back in May. One of the bars in the track suggested that Cole had ghosted YB after initially agreeing to a feature. Rumors of a collab between the two musicians date back as far as 2021, when Akademiks initially reported that the two were planning to hit the studio together.

Did Drake Diss YoungBoy?

While Cole seemingly has no issues with YoungBoy, Drake might. Fans have pointed to “8AM in Charlotte” as being the primary diss track on For All The Dogs. There is not one but two points of reference for potential disses in the song, according to fans. “We all gotta lay in the bed we make, but that couldn’t be Drake/ You forced a lot of fake love when real ones stood in your face/ That’s why you got deserted by your n-ggas like pudding and cake,” is believed to be a shot at Kanye.

Meanwhile, “You young boys take some of that money and set it aside/ Not havin’ enough to pay your tax is a federal crime” has been taken as a shot at YB. YoungBoy also used “Fuck The Industry Pt. 2” to diss Drake as well as J. Cole. However, it appears that Drake took the bars more personally than his For All The Dogs collaborator did.

Nicki Minaj Not On “For All The Dogs,” Fans Accuse Drake Of Lying About Collab

Nicki Minaj does not appear on Drake’s new album, For All The Dogs. This is despite both Drake and Minaj confirming that there was a collab on the album. As a result, both Drizzy fans and the Barbz have turned on the Canadian rapper. “Drake feminine ass used the barbz for promo, once again!!! Yeah he makes dope music, but the way he hates on Nicki Minaj needs to be studied!! What a dick head [vomit emoji],” one irate social media user wrote. “He lied I guess,” wrote one Minaj fan account.

Although the album does include 10 features, Minaj’s teased track was widely seen as one of the expected highlights. While not a direct result of the Minaj omission, fan reaction to the album has been mixed in its first few hours. Die-hard fans proclaimed it to Drizzy’s best in several years, others had a more muted reaction to the 23-track release. “How did the goat drake make 23 bad songs. This shit worse than CLB,” one critic wrote.

Is Drake On Pink Friday 2?

There are, however, some fans who are still holding out hope of the Young Money reunion. While Minaj did not appear on For All The Dogs, some fans speculated that the Drake track may actually appear on her upcoming album, Pink Friday 2. Very little is known about the content of that album, including things like the features and tracklist. However, the album is out next month.

However, this theory doesn’t hold much water. Firstly, it would be weird for Drake to promote a collab in the run-up to his own album release without specifying that it wouldn’t be on his album. Secondly, Minaj herself appeared to confirm that the track had been recorded for For All The Dogs and not Pink Friday 2. At best, Drake is just the worst promoter around. But at worst, he actively lied about including Minaj on the album to tap into her loyal fanbase.
