Over the years, Curren$y and Jet Life have lost some members along the way. Some of the names include Trademark Da Skydiver, Young Roddy, Smoke DZA, T.Y., and more. However, the group head has recollected some nice talent. Those members make tons of appearances on this project. You will plenty of Fiend, G Style, Black Cobain, and Fendi P verses on multiple cuts.

Metro Boomin Teases Collab Album With Future Once Again

Metro Boomin just never slows down. The rapper has been prolifically collaborating with various rappers and releasing his own projects consistently for years. Late in 2022, he dropped his new album Heroes & Villains which had an absolutely packed feature list. The album also spawned a mega-hit in “Creepin’” with The Weeknd and 21 Savage. But he wasn’t done yet. Earlier this year he released the also feature-packed soundtrack to Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse.

Now he’s begun teasing even more new material coming soon. He’s been talking about a collaborative project with Future for months now, building up plenty of fan hype in the process. Today, he took to Instagram to once again tease the project alongside a picture of him with some kind of bird of prey on his arm. “me and @future album on the way drop some 🦅🦅🦅 if you ready,” his caption read. That’s exactly what fans did with seas of bird emojis expressing hype including some posted by fellow producers like Mike Will Made-It and Tay Keith. Check out the full post below.

Metro Boomin And Future Album Is On The Way

Fans are happy to hear some good news about the collab album, because the last time Metro Boomin shared an update it wasn’t a great one. In a tweet he made last month, he told fans a story about how he lost three beats he was working on due to a power outage. When a friend pressed him about who the beats were for he explained that they were for his upcoming project with Future.

Earlier this year, Metro also served as the executive producer of Young Thug’s new album Business Is Business. He handled details of the project because Young Thug is currently incarcerated fighting his RICO charges. The album went on to debut at number two on the Billboard 200. Are you excited about Metro Boomin and Future’s upcoming collaborative album? Let us know in the comment section below.

Boosie Badazz & T.I. Are Still Going To Work On Collab Album, Boosie Says

If you recall some of the big hip-hop stories so far this year, one of those for the Southern crowd was the beef between Boosie Badazz and T.I. Moreover, the two fought over snitching allegations against the Atlanta trap pioneer, which followed a long string of disputes and reconciliations before that. With all that as context, the most important thing right now is that, at least as of writing this article, everything’s good between them. In fact, it seems like they’re still planning to release something that their beef got in the way of. During an interview with VladTV uploaded Sunday (September 3), the Baton Rouge MC said that they will work on their joint album.

“Yeah, I think we’re gonna get it together,” Boosie expressed to DJ Vlad. “We ain’t got back in the studio yet. But I think we’re gonna get it together. We’ve been working on other s**t right now.” In addition, Badazz also revealed that he will perform for T.I.’s son King soon. Maybe that show is what will get the gears turning for this collab to happen months after the two settled their feud.

T.I. & Boosie Joint Project Still In The Works

“It just went like two bosses of handling it, man,” Boosie told Vlad of water being under the bridge back in April. “First of all, we got kids who love each other. First we wasn’t agreeing and we was going back-and-forth and, you know, he spoke how he felt and I spoke how I felt. He felt me and I felt him. I gave him an apology.

“After we kept going back-and-forth, the things he was doing for me in my life at the time, I kinda felt bad,” he continued. “I kinda felt bad he was doing some real s**t, helping me in a lot of ways, but I told him I still stand on what I stand on. When he explained it to me, we got by it. We got by like bosses supposed to get by. We ain’t let the internet or none of that bring us out of character.” Considering this, stay posted on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Boosie Badazz and T.I.

Real Bad Man And Blu Drop Their First Collaborative Album “Bad News”

Producing team and street clothing brand Real Bad Man are back with their second album of 2023. This time it is another collaboration with another lyrically adept rapper. That MC is Inglewood, California’s Blu, who is known best for one of the best albums of the early 2000s, Below The Heavens. This album, Bad News, is the fifth team effort from Real Bad Man believe it or not. Two of them are with Boldy James, Killing Nothing (2022) and Real Bad Boldy (2020).

Additionally, Smoke DZA nabbed an opportunity in 2022 with Mood Swings. Finally, Serpent, the other project from this year, featured Kool Keith on every track. Now, it is Blu’s turn to work with Real Bad Man. Fortunately, but not surprisingly, this combo succeeds with ease. The tracklist is tight, just like the rest of Bad Man’s catalog, with just eight and it is just under 23 minutes.

Listen To Bad News From Real Bad Man And Blu

There were two singles ahead of the release of Bad News. “Aladdin” was the solo track with only Blu and it features impeccable bars and an odd and creepy beat. “The Golden Rule” with C.L. Smooth was put out next and that contained some jazzy production. Overall, this album is another great addition for each artist involved. It is easily one of the best lyrical rap albums of 2023 and might be in the top ten or five by the end of the year.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand new album, Bad News, from Blu and Real Bad Man? Which track is your favorite here? Lil Baby Finally Addresses Long-Rumored Drake Collab Album

For a lot of people, Lil Baby washed Drake on “Wants and Needs,” and given their extensive collaborative history, fans would love to see a showdown between them for a whole project. That’s exactly the rumor that Black Coffee started back in March, making fans start anticipating a Baby and Drizzy joint album. “[Quality Control Music’s Coach K] had said to me, ‘Lil Baby and Drake are making an album. It’s possible that Drake is retiring,’” the producer claimed on Podcast and Chill with MacG. While neither artist addressed these claims outright, we now have a… somewhat conclusive response from the Atlanta MC.

Moroever, XXL recently sat down with the QCM signee for an interview, during which the publication asked him about the Drake speculation. Unfortunately, the It’s Only Me creative wasn’t exactly clear when responding to these rumors, although that only adds to anticipation and the mythos behind it. “Maybe so. Maybe not,” Lil Baby told XXL, and the lack of outright denial is enough to keep fans excited. However, with both their careers looking at another phase soon, maybe this year wouldn’t be the best time to oversaturate their releases.

Lil Baby’s XXL Interview

That’s relevant because Baby teased an upcoming solo project dropping soon, along with that of his other label members. “I’m actually going to drop an album this summer and my artist, Rylo Rodriguez, will be dropping an album this summer,” Lil Baby remarked to the publication. Rodriguez did, in fact, drop Been One earlier in June, but it’s been radio silent on the studio album front from the 4PF leader so far this year. Summer’s technically not over, but unless he drops this Friday (August 25), then a sunny release seems improbable.

Meanwhile, considering other hits like “Yes Indeed” (and misses like “Girls Want Girls”), teaming up with Drake could yield great and retributive results for the 28-year-old. Sure, it isn’t the most consistent run of team-ups, but the two artists certainly compliment one another quite well. It seems that the chances of this collab album dropping aren’t within our wants and needs just yet. For more news and the latest updates on the 6 God and Lil Baby, log back into HNHH.

Waka Flocka Wants A 50 Cent & Busta Rhymes Collab Album

There are countless East Coast rap juggernauts from hip-hop’s inception and in the present. The Notorious B.I.G, Cam’ron, Nas, the list goes on. However, a couple of other MCs in the space, 50 Cent and Busta Rhymes are legends in their own right. 50 has done so much for the gangsta rap subgenre with two of the biggest album releases, Get Rich or Die Tryin’ and The Massacre.

As for Busta Rhymes, he has been a vital part of some massive songs such as “Don’t Cha” by The Pussycat Dolls, “Look At Me Now” by Chis Brown, and more. On top of that, his speedy flows and witty bars make him a must-have for a feature or album release. So, it is no secret that both coming together for a collaboration effort would be a great move on their part and for the genre at large. As someone who was born in South Jamaica, Queens, New York, Waka Flocka has a lot of knowledge about the East Coast scene. That is why recently, he shared his thoughts on X, formerly Twitter, on who should join forces for new music.

It began in July and will run into early November with the final destination in Birmingham, England. The international tour dates begin on September 28.

Valee & Harry Fraud “Virtuoso” Review

This Valee and Harry Fraud album titled Virtuoso is the latest collaboration project from the superproducer and Chicago rapper. The project comes in at 11 tracks and lasts just under 30 minutes. Features come from MAVI, Action Bronson, Saba, Twista, and more. Harry crafts atmospheric and hazy beats as well as more soulful-sounding ones. All of them have a certain uniqueness, which keeps the project from becoming repetitive from a production standpoint. However, on most of the tracks, Harry’s production outshines the dull and simplistic verses from Valee. Sometimes his unique, almost emotionless flow fits in well with the tone. However, in most moments, it serves as a hindrance and highlights a lack of cohesion between the verses and the production itself.

Valee Mostly Comes Up Short

The subject matter on this Virtuoso by Valee and Harry Fraud gets repetitive quite quickly. The issue comes from how the rapper approaches these topics – not the topics themselves. Lines about cars are all over the project, but the way he describes them becomes repetitive, surface-level, and simply not creative. The same comes from his details about his lean usage, shopping, or escapades with women.

Sometimes it seems like Valee tries to fit too many words into a line, resulting in him rushing through it in an attempt to stay on beat. Other moments find him almost mumbling through verses or hooks, as if he’s tired or having trouble reading or remembering them. However, his melodic flow in the opener “Sea Bass” is perhaps the strongest moment of the project. Meanwhile, in “Dutty Laundry” and “Washington Wizard,” his lazy flow is just bouncy enough to work with Harry’s dreamy production.

Valee Often Gets Outshined By His Features

One of the most unfortunate aspects of Virtuoso by Valee and Harry Fraud is how the rapper gets outshined by his features. 03 Greedo’s verse on “About That” sounds as if he only heard the hook of the song as his verse is based on his personal struggles, while Valee’s verse is nothing of the sort. Saba and MAVI, who are both on “Watermelon Automobile,” are known for introspective verses in their solo music. Their departure from this is refreshing and fun as they flow over a variety of synth noises from Harry Fraud. Their flows only highlight how lackadaisical Valee’s is. Twista offers his signature rapid-fire flow on “WTF,” but even considering his topic alone, it is far more stimulating than when Valee talked about the same thing only moments earlier.

Valee & Harry Fraud Mostly Lack Chemistry

Virtuoso by Valee and Harry Fraud is a collab project, but the chemistry falls short with Valee, who does not hold his weight in the collab. Listeners may find themselves more attached to Harry’s dynamic production and hoping for an instrumental expansion of the project. A majority of the time, Valee simply does not excel in his attempts to do what he’s on the project to do – rap. The strong moments completely overshadow the multitude of weaker ones, and there aren’t many of the former, to begin with. With most of the songs being just over the two-minute mark, they quickly become forgettable. This is especially considering how the hooks simply are not catchy or engaging. This one, while not completely skippable, still deserves a fair shot as listeners may find redeeming factors amongst the flaws.

Ransom & Nicholas Craven Tap Talib Kweli & Raina Simone For “Minority Report”

Jersey City MC Ransom and producer Nicholas Craven recently released a full-length collaborative project, Directors Cut 4. For fans of soulful and sample-heavy production, intricate rhymes, and a refreshed take on classic hip-hop, this is one of the most notable releases of the week. Although it contains plenty of standouts, one that’s bound to particularly resonate with fans is the stacked “Minority Report.” Featuring Talib Kweli and Raina Simone, this song focuses on authenticity, talent within hip-hop, and emerging from a system that is stacked against you. There are a lot of heavy street bars on here, as well as more spiritual fare and comments on political oppression, but don’t let this denseness put you off.

For starters, the beat by Nicholas Craven might remind listeners of some of Ransom’s earlier beats like “Sinatra’s Demons.” Like that song, this track contains some powerful strings and a minimal but still noticeable drum pattern to keep the song grounded. Also, there’s an interesting mix between these strings and some faint background vocals that seem more ghostly than anything else. Considering the track’s weighted subject matter, this just adds to the drama and impact of the sharp bars. For example, the legendary Talib Kweli’s verse takes more of a violence-oriented focus, speaking on snitches and posturing in the world of crime.

Ransom & Nicholas Craven’s “Minority Report”

Matched with Ransom’s opening verse and chorus, this makes for a bittersweetly triumphant cut. To close things off before the last chorus, lyricist Raina Simone delivers a killer verse about her struggles, experience, and legacy as a Black woman. Even though this songs packs a deep punch, it still thrives in the fundamentals of the genre (like much of his material) to make an engaging listen. If you haven’t heard Directors Cut 4 yet, you can find it on your preferred streaming service and peep some notable lines from “Minority Report” down below. Currensy and Harry Fraud Keep It Brief On “Vices”

The project is relatively brief running just 9 tracks and barely over 22 minutes, but it’s packed with features. Benny The Butches. Jim Jones, Tommy Wright III, Larry June, G.T., Rome Streetz, and Vico all appear on various songs. Instrumentally, Harry Fraud is the lone credited producer on the album responsible for all 9 tracks.

For Curren$y, it’s his second new project for 2023 so far. Back in April, he released a similarly brief collection of tracks with legendary producer Jermaine Dupri. The rapper famously released three full studio albums of new material all in 2021. Last year, he dropped a full-length collaboration with a different legendary producer, The Alchemist, called Continuance.

Currensy And Harry Fraud Team Up

While Harry Fraud’s output hasn’t been quite as prolific as Curren$y, he still released a number of high-profile collaborations last year. The first of which was Montega with French Montana. The album was absolutely loaded with features and got even more impressive with a deluxe version released later in the year. He also dropped You Take The Credit, We’ll Take The Check with Jay Worthy a few months later. he closed the year with Beyonce Belief a 10-track collaboration with 38 Spesh which featured Curren$y himself on the penultimate track.

Curren$y and Harry Fraud have even collaborated together before. For both artists, one of their most recognized projects is their 2018 team-up The Marina. Hit-Boy Drops New Tape “SURF OR DROWN Vol. 2” With His Dad

Hit-Boy’s prolific 2023 carries on. It’s not even halfway through the year and the artist/producer already has dozens of songs and numerous albums under his belt. This new one is surely the most important and personal yet. SURF OR DROWN Vol. 2 is named like a sequel to his album SURF OR DROWN earlier this year but there’s one big difference. Vol. 2 is a full-length collaboration with Hit-Boy’s own father Big Hit. The album features 10 songs and their 10 instrumental versions. It also sports features from Big Sean, Dom Kennedy, and Garren.

The album was led off by the single “Reckless & Ratchet,” an infectious summer jam. It was made with Hit-Boy’s father just after he was released from a nine-year stint in prison. SURF OR DROWN VOL. 2 follows its predecessor which dropped in March. The album saw Hit-Boy teaming up with a number of collaborators across its 21 tracks. Included in the feature list are The Alchemist, Curren$y, James Faultenroy, Nas, Dom Kennedy, and many more.

Hit-Boy And Big-Hit Team Up

In a recent podcast appearance, Hit-Boy reminisced on working with Nipsey Hussle before his death. He also revealed he has material with the late rapper that is currently unreleased. Hit-Boy has also been subject to an ongoing beef with fellow producer Hitmaka. Both producers have been pulling out receipts of their work in back and forth Instagram posts.

Last month as soon as Big Hit was released from prison, he went directly to the studio. Clearly, the pair got to work quickly as they’ve just dropped an entire album together. What do you think of Hit-Boy’s new full-length collaboration with his dad? Let us know in the comment section below. Also, stay tuned for more from the music world.
