Kanye West & Ty Dolla Sign’s “Vultures” Delayed Again, New Release Date Revealed

Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign’s eagerly-anticipated joint album, Vultures, was initially expected to drop on December 15. Ye hosted a couple of listening parties to give fans a taste of what was to come, and ended up going on a controversial rant in Vegas. He took aim at Jay-Z, Drake, Nicki Minaj, and more in the rant, which ultimately went viral. With all of that being said, the album never dropped, leaving fans disappointed but not necessarily surprised.

It was later revealed that the album would only be delayed by a couple of weeks, and finally arrive on December 31. Once again, however, the project appears to have been delayed. Luckily, listeners won’t have to wait too much longer to hear it. According to Billboard, reps for Ye have confirmed that Vultures will now drop on January 12, 2024.

Vultures Reportedly Arrives On January 12

While it remains unclear what exactly has caused the delay, Ye certainly has his hands full. Aside from perfecting the upcoming album, he’s also got plans for a new city in the works. The city, tentatively named DROAM, will be in the Middle East and is currently in its first phase of development. Once it’s complete, it’s expected to span over 100K acres, which is nearly double the size of New York City. The Chicago-born MC is currently recruiting project managers, engineers, architects, contractors, builders, and more to help with the project.

While supporters respect the controversial artist for his ambition, some would prefer that he wrap up the album before diving into another endeavor. Still, fans are only a few more weeks out from finally hearing Vultures. How do you feel about Kanye West’s upcoming joint album with Ty Dolla Sign getting delayed again? Are you looking forward to finally hearing the full album when it drops on January 12, 2024? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Metro Boomin Teases Future Collab Project Amid Drake Feud

We were blessed with several highly anticipated albums this year but Future and Metro Boomin are still holding out on their upcoming joint effort. Over the past few months, Metro Boomin has been heavily teasing the forthcoming project without sharing any concrete dates. However, it’s looking like he has a 2024 release date in mind. The St. Louis producer hit social media this week with a photo alongside his “Mask Off” collaborator, captioning the post, “COMING SOON [three eagle emojis].”

Fans have been hopeful to see this album considering their general track record together. Metro played major roles on projects like Monster and DS2 while also contributing to Future’s later albums. Recently, the two collided on “All The Way Live (Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse)” ft. Lil Uzi Vert from Metro Boomin’s soundtrack for the latest Spider-Man movie. Prior to that, Future made his presence felt heavily on “Superhero,” with Chris Brown, “I Can’t Save You (Interlude) ft. Don Toliver, “Lock on Me” with Travis Scott from Heroes & Villains

Metro Boomin & Drake Trade Shots

Metro’s latest comments arrive shortly after he and Drake seemingly took shots at each other. It began when Metro appeared to diss Drake and 21 Savage’s Her Loss, an album he produced on, because he continued to win at major award shows. “Yet her loss still keeps winning rap album of the year over H&V. proof that award shows are just politics and not for me,” Metro said in a since-deleted tweet. “Idc about awards honestly, the true award and REWARD is knowing that the music I spend so much time on brings joy to peoples everyday lives.”

Drake appeared to respond over the weekend during a livestream. As he held a cheers on camera, he took shots at unnamed “tweet-and-deleters,” which many presumed to be about Metro Boomin, including the producer himself. In response, Metro shared a clip from sketch comedy group RDC World, showcasing four men who donned in country club attire and sporting straight wigs. In the clip, amidst laughter, one of the men humorously advises, “Hold on, Jamal. Don’t pull out the nine.” Hopefully, the rift between Drake and Metro Boomin has no impact on the latter’s upcoming project with Future.

Kanye West & Ty Dolla Sign’s “Vultures” Rave, Where To Watch Vegas Stream

Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign are gearing up for the release of their new joint album, Vultures. As they approach the release, they’ve been previewing the project at some listening events, most recently giving fans a taste of what’s to come in Miami. They’re scheduled to preview the album in Las Vegas next, and it seems as though fans outside of Vegas will be able to stream it.

A flyer featuring some cryptic hints about the event has been making its way around Twitter recently, and fans have made their own inferences about what it could mean. One account shared their own interpretation of the flyer, suggesting that the event would take place yesterday (December 13). That clearly didn’t happen, however, calling some of their other interpretations into question.

Yeezy.com Rumored To Host Vultures Stream

Regardless, fans are now speculating that the event will take place tonight, and be streamed on Yeezy.com. For now, this is unconfirmed, as is mostly everything in the world of Ye. Vultures was expected to drop this Friday (December 15), but that could also be up in the air. A few days ago, a pre-save link for the album appeared on Apple Music, but it has now disappeared, according to NFR Podcast. This latest development has led to rumors that the album will be delayed, which doesn’t appear to be out of the question considering the Chicago-born artist’s history. Regardless, fans are looking forward to seeing what he and Ty have in store for them.

Aside from the potential upcoming release, Ye also recently launched a new website. The site, Yews.News, features various articles pertaining to politics and current affairs. It even highlights a piece about Doritos launching a new Nacho-flavored spirit with Empirical. Are you hoping that Kanye West comes through with a listening event tonight? Are you looking forward to his new joint album with Ty Dolla Sign, Vultures? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Rick Ross Hints At An MMG Reunion On Upcoming Project With Meek Mill

This news might just be too good to be true. As the hip-hop world eagerly anticipates Rick Ross and Meek Mill’s forthcoming collaborative album, Too Good To Be True, the biggest surprise in store may have been revealed. A MMG (Maybach Music Group) reunion may be on the horizon. The pair teased the involvement of Wale in the project. During a recent appearance on The Morning Hustle, Rick Ross hinted at the possibility of bringing the MMG family back together. This contributes to the project being a highly-anticipated release.

Rozay made the statement during a candid interview. He dropped the bombshell after the one-minute mark. After the interviewer asked “Where’s Wale?” Rick responded with a positive answer. “Wale is actually working on this project. He’s doing his thing, and he’s over there at Def Jam Records.” The interviewer followed up and asked, “Are we gonna see him pop up somewhere on the album?” This news instantly caught the attention of hip-hop fans and left them eagerly awaiting the prospect of a reunion of the MMG crew.

Wale Might Join Rick Ross And Meek Mill

The hosts wasted no time directly asking about Wale’s potential involvement in their joint project. “Will we see Wale on this upcoming project?” Rick Ross responded with a mysterious smile and the words, “It’s a good chance. You know how we get down.” This cryptic response sent the rumor mill into overdrive. Fans speculated about the extent of Wale’s participation in the album and the possible reunion of the MMG family. Wale’s journey in the music industry has been closely intertwined with Maybach Music Group, having signed to the label in early 2011.

The possible MMG reunion on Rick Ross and Meek Mill’s collaborative project has sparked excitement and nostalgia among hip-hop enthusiasts. The two have previously released single “Lyrical Eazy,” just last week. And it’s a freestyle type of song that showcases high-quality production and some of the best lyrics we’ve seen from both of them in a while. However, the chemistry and talent of the MMG artists coming together once again is something fans won’t want to miss. Moreover, as the release date for Too Good To Be True draws near, fans eagerly await further details. Hopefully, more info arises on this potential reunion. Timbaland Calls Rick Ross & Meek Mill’s New Album A “Masterpiece”

Meek Mill and Rick Ross’ collab album Too Good To Be True is due on November 10, and fans are very excited for it. Moreover, the frequent collaborators will bring us their first full-length joint project as solo artists. They recently dropped off the single “Lyrical Eazy” to keep amping their listeners up for it, and one person who’s fully on board is legendary producer Timbaland. He recently popped by the 99JAMZ radio station in Miami and shared his excited thoughts on it while discussing the state of rap today. Not only that, but the beatmaker called the LP a “masterpiece” that is “what we been missing” in the game, which is a pretty promising assessment from a legend within it.

“Ross giving you that Big Meech Ross,” Timbaland expressed. “And that’s all we want. We don’t want Ross to sound like Uzi Vert. That album says a lot to me because Meek is being Meek, whether you like it or not. It’s not dated, it sounds current, it sounds fresh, and it sounds like a classic. And you could tell the space they in. I don’t even need to talk to him and ask what space he in, you can hear it through the music.”

Valee & Harry Fraud “Virtuoso” Review

This Valee and Harry Fraud album titled Virtuoso is the latest collaboration project from the superproducer and Chicago rapper. The project comes in at 11 tracks and lasts just under 30 minutes. Features come from MAVI, Action Bronson, Saba, Twista, and more. Harry crafts atmospheric and hazy beats as well as more soulful-sounding ones. All of them have a certain uniqueness, which keeps the project from becoming repetitive from a production standpoint. However, on most of the tracks, Harry’s production outshines the dull and simplistic verses from Valee. Sometimes his unique, almost emotionless flow fits in well with the tone. However, in most moments, it serves as a hindrance and highlights a lack of cohesion between the verses and the production itself.

Valee Mostly Comes Up Short

The subject matter on this Virtuoso by Valee and Harry Fraud gets repetitive quite quickly. The issue comes from how the rapper approaches these topics – not the topics themselves. Lines about cars are all over the project, but the way he describes them becomes repetitive, surface-level, and simply not creative. The same comes from his details about his lean usage, shopping, or escapades with women.

Sometimes it seems like Valee tries to fit too many words into a line, resulting in him rushing through it in an attempt to stay on beat. Other moments find him almost mumbling through verses or hooks, as if he’s tired or having trouble reading or remembering them. However, his melodic flow in the opener “Sea Bass” is perhaps the strongest moment of the project. Meanwhile, in “Dutty Laundry” and “Washington Wizard,” his lazy flow is just bouncy enough to work with Harry’s dreamy production.

Valee Often Gets Outshined By His Features

One of the most unfortunate aspects of Virtuoso by Valee and Harry Fraud is how the rapper gets outshined by his features. 03 Greedo’s verse on “About That” sounds as if he only heard the hook of the song as his verse is based on his personal struggles, while Valee’s verse is nothing of the sort. Saba and MAVI, who are both on “Watermelon Automobile,” are known for introspective verses in their solo music. Their departure from this is refreshing and fun as they flow over a variety of synth noises from Harry Fraud. Their flows only highlight how lackadaisical Valee’s is. Twista offers his signature rapid-fire flow on “WTF,” but even considering his topic alone, it is far more stimulating than when Valee talked about the same thing only moments earlier.

Valee & Harry Fraud Mostly Lack Chemistry

Virtuoso by Valee and Harry Fraud is a collab project, but the chemistry falls short with Valee, who does not hold his weight in the collab. Listeners may find themselves more attached to Harry’s dynamic production and hoping for an instrumental expansion of the project. A majority of the time, Valee simply does not excel in his attempts to do what he’s on the project to do – rap. The strong moments completely overshadow the multitude of weaker ones, and there aren’t many of the former, to begin with. With most of the songs being just over the two-minute mark, they quickly become forgettable. This is especially considering how the hooks simply are not catchy or engaging. This one, while not completely skippable, still deserves a fair shot as listeners may find redeeming factors amongst the flaws.

Mike Dean Claims The Weeknd Joint Album Is On The Horizon

Mike Dean is easily one of the best producers to ever do it. Overall, he is responsible for some of the most legendary records in the history of hip-hop. Additionally, he has been very hard at work on Travis Scott’s new album, UTOPIA. Fans have wanted this project for quite some time and the sheer amount of teasers has been impressive. In fact, Scott has even resorted to mimicking Abbey Road, which tells you where his head is at. Ultimately, fans want a classic.

Transitioning back to Mike Dean, he has also been working hard on his other music. For instance, he recently dropped 4:23 which came with EP credits for The Weeknd. Furthermore, the two have worked on the soundtrack to The Idol together. Now, however, Dean is teasing more new music with Abel. On Twitter, someone asked Dean how he is doing. This led to a courteous response in which he dropped a couple of bombshells.

Talib Kweli & Madlib Announce Joint Album, “Liberation 2”

Talib Kweli and Madlib just announced Liberation 2, a sequel to their 2007 collab album releasing on March 6. While it will release exclusively on the Luminary podcast network, they released the project’s first single “After These Messages” via a YouTube music video. Moreover, the track features a very special performance from Kweli’s son, Amani. In addition, the Black Star’s daughter Diani will also appear on Liberation 2‘s tracklist. With this announcement, hip-hop fans are likely salivating at this collaboration between two legends in the game.

Still, the fact that it’s only coming out via a podcast network is likely disappointing for the Spotify-aligned fans out there. However, it calls back to its first installment, Liberation, and its similarly unorthodox release. Moreover, Kweli and Madlib released the album as a full download online in early 2007. It wasn’t in record stores, but rather on the Stones Throw Rappcats website and both artists’ MySpace pages. Also, this isn’t the first time the Brooklyn rapper has worked with Luminary. Exclusively through that platform, he and Yasiin Bey (formerly known as Mos Def) released a long-awaited return from their duo Black Star. Their album No Fear of Time released in May of 2022.

Furthermore, the sequel to their fan-favorite Liberation collaboration will feature Q-Tip, Roc Marciano, and Westside Gunn. In addition, Liberation 2 is reportedly including a posthumous Mac Miller performance, as well. Kweli expressed that their recording process took a decade, and spoke on his thematic intent. “People today are taking stock of what is most important — family, health, wellness, love,” he remarked in a statement. “The materialism and debauchery that is stereotypically associated with hip-hop has lost some of its luster.

“Madlib and I have been consistent in our messaging,” he continued. “Never has there been a better time for such honest, message-driven music that pays tribute to the sounds that came before us.” Whereas Talib recently revived his duo, the legendary producer beside him recently continued his work on forming one of the best current duos. Him and Freddie Gibbs have incredible chemistry on wax, as evidenced by their most recent effort, 2019’s Bandada. Regardless, come back to HNHH for the upcoming album, and for more release news from your favorite hip-hop artists.
