Metro Boomin Teases “Crazy” Beat Made For Future

Metro Boomin says that he just cooked up a “crazy” beat for Future that has “gotta be” on their upcoming collaborative album. He hinted at the project in a series of posts on Twitter, over the weekend.

Just made a beat so crazy that I’m 1000% sure this gotta be on the album,” Metro teased. “@1future wya I’m bout to get on the plane.” In his next posts, Metro added: “After that flight I’m getting on another plane and taking this one straighttttt to @therealmikedean,” as well as, “I promise I’m working hard overtime every single day on this but GREAT things come to those who wait and I promise that y’all gon EAT when this album drops.”

Metro previously discussed why he enjoys working with Future during an interview with Ebro Darden in 2022. “He’s one of the best artists to work with like that,” he said at the time. “I feel like that’s why we get the results that we do because we don’t come in with any ego. He’s completely there asking you what he should do and what you like. With some other people, sometimes you have to eat whatever sh*t they give you that day. But with Pluto, he’s on the same sh*t I’m on, and I tell him, let’s make the hardest shit we can make, and he’s all in.”

Metro Boomin Once Again Teases Future Collab Album

Fans of Metro Boomin have been hearing a LOT about a collaborative album he’s been working on with Future. He began earlier this year first with a soft announcement of the project and then with some pretty major promises for what they were working on. He described the project as “the ultimate album” a comment he eventually had to walk back on just to keep fan expectations in place.

Then in August, Metro shared another update to Twitter. In it he revealed to fans that they were already working on shooting the album cover for the project. While many fans thought that meant the album was right around the corner, that didn’t turn out to be the case. Part of the reason may have been revealed later that month. Metro took to Twitter to tell a story about how he lost three beats he was working on for the album due to a power outage. Check out the newest update he provided fans with below.

Metro Boomin Jokes About Future Album

The teases for the upcoming collaboration with Future didn’t stop there though. In fact, he’s continued to talk about it so much that it’s become a sort of meme among his fans. Earlier today, he poked fun at those fans begging for his new material tweeting “METro drOp tHe fUtuRE ALBUM.” Accompanying the tweet he shared a pic of the two together in the studio, presumably still hard at work on the project.

In the comments fans continue to request more info about the album. Some double down on the meme again asking him to drop it. Others claim that all they want is a release date, single, or just something to prove that it is in fact coming soon. What do you think of Metro Boomin making jokes about fans asking for him to drop the Future collab album? Let us know in the comment section below.

J. Cole On Kendrick Lamar Collab Album: “We Ain’t Ever Got The Chance”

During J. Cole’s appearance on Lil Yachty and Mitch’s A Safe Place podcast, they talked about a lot of stuff. They discussed Cole’s first number one hit and how he “almost” regrets it, his features policy, and plenty of other compelling and interesting topics. It’s great to hear the North Carolina MC and the Atlanta artist chop it up about life and their careers, and they got to discuss one of 2010s hip-hop’s most persistent requests. When addressing his rumored collab album with Kendrick Lamar, the Dreamville boss gave some very interesting and revealing reasons as to why it hasn’t happened… and probably won’t, unfortunately.

“In a nutshell, [Kendrick Lamar] had pulled up on me at No I.D.’s spot,” J. Cole began. “We was already building this relationship, and I had these beats at the time and I was playing them for him. Was that our first time linking? ‘HiiiPoWeR,’ one of them beats? There’s a few beats, a gang of beats that I did, I gave him. Some of them like, maybe had a hook on them, a verse- this, that, and the third.

J. Cole’s Full A Safe Place Appearance

“So he took them and, you know, in that moment, we talked about, ‘Yo, bro, we should do a project,’” J. Cole continued. “At that time he’s not on like that, but I’m f***in’ with him. At one point, it was a real thing. But bro, time and life, we ain’t ever got the chance to go in and do it correctly, because that would take time. For us to do something that’s full of our potential, that meets our real potential, you’re gonna need time. At least a year.

“When you got two successful artists with lives and families, that’s hard to do,” he concluded. “We put it to bed years ago. But at one point in time, it was a real conversation, for sure. It’s not like it’s a ton of songs. It’s not like it’s some album sitting on the shelf somewhere.” For more news and the latest updates on J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar, come back to HNHH.

Lil Yachty Divulges On Potential Drake Collab Album

Lil Yachty and Drake have been working with one another quite a bit as of late. Overall, these two are a dynamic duo that have a great friendship, as well. Recently, the two shared a track on For All The Dogs, called “Another Late Night.” Furthermore, it has been reported that Yachty had a lot to do with the project, Her Loss. Needless to say, these two have a deep musical connection. This has subsequently led to fans speculating that they could one day drop a collab album together.

Recently, Lil Yachty was in an OGM Vlog that was posted to YouTube. During the video, he actually spoke about the possibility of doing an album with Drizzy. However, fans should not be expecting such a project to happen anytime soon. After all, Drake has made it clear that he wants to take some time for himself. That said, Yachty does seem at least a little bit optimistic that it could happen somewhere down the line.

Lil Yachty x Drake?

“We’ve talked about it before… It would be nice, right?” Yachty asked. “I think he [Drake] gon take a little second to breathe [first]. Ima take next year to figure out my situation… And you know, we’ll look into it in the future.” By the time Drake is out of his musical hiatus, no one really knows what he will be looking for musically. By that point, he might be looking to hop on a new wave entirely. This is especially true when you consider how he will either be 40 years old or at least very close to it.

If a Lil Yachty and Drake project were to drop, what would your expectations be for it? Is it even something that you would want? Let us know in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. We will always keep you informed on all of your favorite artists.

Ty Dolla Sign Announces Kanye West Collab Album Listening Parties In November

It seems like Ty Dolla $ign and Kanye West’s new album is happening after all… at least, we’ll technically get to listen to it. Moreover, the former just announced via Instagram on Monday (October 23) that their collaborative project will result in various listening parties across multiple stadiums on November 3. For those unaware, speculation ran rampant online about their team-up over the past month or so thanks to hints about it, vague announcements, and social media sightings. In fact, we already went through this cycle recently with a rumored but then scrapped Italy concert that seems unlikely to go down.

Furthermore, this post suggests that we’re finally in full album rollout mode for, at the very least, Ty Dolla Sign and Kanye West’s offering as a duo. Along with buzz about this, reports suggested that the Chicago MC is working on a solo album as well, although that’s a bit more unclear. After all, what other artist can say that they have as many scrapped albums that fans obsess over as they do classic studio projects? If there’s any album announcement that comes with a mountain of salt, it’s Ye’s.

Ty Dolla Sign & Kanye West Birnging Their Collab Album To Stadiums On November 3

In addition, this is also an interesting development because it hints at the album’s actual release coming soon, as well. Otherwise, it seems odd for Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign to hold a listening party so exclusive that the album won’t be available in any particular way. if you’re confused, this is relevant because earlier reports pointed to the duo shopping their album around for distribution. Maybe the news that Rick Ross might be the one to bring the LP to light actually held more truth than some likely assumed.

Meanwhile, all this has a dark shadow looming over it, and that’s the Yeezy mogul’s year under heavy public scrutiny. Whether it’s for his antisemitic comments, his love life drama, or his leaked disses against other rappers, he is not at all in the best public favor. With a new release apparently incoming, listeners have a choice: to stick by the condemnation of this behavior or let it all slide and become a thing of the past. In the latter’s case, it would be tragic for all the relevant discussion and righteousness to go to waste. On that note, log back into HNHH for the latest news and updates on Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign.

Boosie Badazz And B.G. Are Working On A Collaborative Album

B.G. was recently released from prison after serving 12 years of a 14-year sentence. The Hot Boys star was originally arrested after police found him with two stolen guns during a traffic stop. The New Orleans rapper got out last month and quickly turned around and dropped some new material. He teamed up with friend and collaborator Boosie Badazz for a new song called “BG Free / My Dawg.” They made a music video for the track featuring plenty of old footage and it proved fans were still interested in the pair. The video has received more than 1.4 million views in the two weeks since it was released.

According to HipHopDX, it isn’t the only new material the pair have on the way. The two joined DJ Tony Neal where they made the official announcement. “We got a[n] album coming together,” B.G. explained. He went on to express just how much Boosie’s continued support meant to him through it all. “I just wanted to come through, give him a shout out, man, let him know I appreciate everything he did for me while I was down, y’know what I’m sayin? That was– man, I’m talkin’ about — man, man, man, dude wrapped his arm around me like a real G supposed to, man, y’know what I’m sayin? That’s my brother, man. I mean like that’s my brother, man,” he explained. Check out the clip of the conversation below.

Boosie Badazz And B.G. Announce Joint Project

Boosie Badazz has been releasing music pretty prolifically for years now. Consequently he’s averaged a new album every year dating back to 2017 and that doesn’t even include a handful of mixtapes. Earlier this year in February, he released his new album Lines For Valentines.

The project was just 10 tracks but featured Boosie delivering his trademark southern rap sound. What do you think of Boosie and B.G. reaming up for a collab album after his release from prison? Let us know in the comment section below.

2 Chainz Announces Lil Wayne Collab “ColleGrove 2” Drops Next Month

2 Chainz has revealed that ColleGrove 2, his collab album with Lil Wayne, will be dropping sometime in November. “Me and Wayne’s album drops next month. This is a full circle moment,” Chainz told RockTheBells. Furthermore, the rapper spoke on the driving force behind the project. “It was built on a relationship. Wayne at the time, was the hottest artist in the world. He could’ve charged me eight million, but he didn’t,” he explained. It’s unknown if the album will feature anyone beyond Chainz and Wayne. However, fans won’t have to wait too long to find out now.

The news came almost exactly a year after Chainz initially said the album would be coming at the end of 2022. However, that statement made at a concert at USF didn’t come to pass. Instead, fans have had to wait an entire extra year for the much-hyped release. The album has been teased since 2020 and will serve as a follow-up to their unofficial collab, 2016’s ColleGrove.

2 Chainz And Lil Wayne Going All Out For ColleGrove 2

While we still don’t know a whole lot about the album, the pair are very excited about it. Additionally, they have revealed that they have gone all-in on making it one of the albums of the year. “We have two videos shot, photoshoot shot, (the) album’s mixed and getting mastered, so it’ll be coming sooner than later, and I’m really excited about it. It’s rapping at a high level — steel sharpens steel. And he’s one of the people that I enjoy working with the most,” Chainz said back in September.

However, ColleGrove 2 is not 2 Chainz’s only ongoing project. The veteran rapper is also serving as the host of Amazon Music Live‘s second season. The popular concert series airs directly after Amazon’s Thursday Night Football broadcast. Season 2 opened with Ed Sheeran and Lil Durk, with the most recent episode being Metro Boomin. Peso Pluma and Latto will have shows in the next two weeks. Are you excited about ColleGrove 2? Let us know in the comments.

Rick Ross & Meek Mill Announce Joint Project

It’s been a minute since Rick Ross and Meek Mill connected on wax but finally, the two joined forces on “Shaq & Kobe.” The new collaborative single from Rozay and Meek marks their first in years and comes after rumors of the two beefing with each other. Fortunately, they’ve made amends and are back to cooking up new music together. It seems as though “Shaq & Kobe” isn’t the only record the two have the stash, though.

2 Chainz Says Lil Wayne Collab Album “COLLEGROVE 2” Is Coming Very Soon

For years now, we’ve been waiting for a sequel to 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne’s 2016 collaborative project, COLLEGROVE. There’s been a lot of teases, unfulfilled promises, label issues, and more getting in the way of its release so far. In fact, according to the Drench God’s initial statements, the album was supposed to come out in 2020, and we’ve gotten teased about it every year since. Moreover, we finally have our example of this in 2023 thanks to a recent interview with The Source. The College Park, Georgia native said that his team-up sequel with the Hollygrove, New Orleans MC is set to drop this year at the moment.

COLLEGROVE 2 will be coming out before the year’s over with,” 2 Chainz remarked. “We’ve already shot two visuals, the photo shoot is over. We’re in the process now of mastering records. All the records are mixed, so it’ll be coming soon. I’m so excited about it and I’ve been talking about it so long. I’m anxious at this point to try to get it to the fans’ ears. Hear some of the hard work, and the blood sweat and tears that me and my brother put into this project.”

What’s more is that, in comparison to other teases of COLLEGROVE 2, we have some evidence to back this up. For example, 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne were recently spotted filming a music video with Usher. With this in mind, we can only imagine what other big features could appear on the project, although certainly none are necessary. The chemistry between these two MCs will likely be enough to keep the fire burning.

Meanwhile, it seems like they already went through other big final stages for this album, such as the tracklist. Prior to COLLEGROVE, this duo crafted many hits together, so there’s more to follow up than just one album. Hopefully this isn’t another unfulfilled promise and we can hear these rappers at the peak of their chemistry soon. For more news and the latest updates on Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz, come back to HNHH.

City Morgue Is Calling It Quits With Their Final Record Together “My Bloody America”

New York City multi-talents SosMula and ZillaKami are wrapping up their time together. Collectively, they formed the rap and rock duo, City Morgue. As an outfit, they have been putting out music since the latter half of 2018. Their first project, CITY MORGUE VOL 1: HELL OR HIGH WATER, was put out on streaming platforms on October 12, 2018. Since then, City Morgue added two more tapes in that series, with the second installment receiving a deluxe. In between the second and third volumes, they released a project in 2020 called TOXIC BOOGALOO.

All of this hard work has brought us to the first half of September, which is ultimately the send-off for this high-energy pairing. This was confirmed by SosMula back on June 24, 2022, according to Genius. “ZillaKami announced on Instagram that he was on ‘probably on his last City Morgue tour.’” The annotation continues, “A leaker on Instagram had also commented that City Morgue is likely disbanding after they owe to Republic Records. On the same day, SosMula had confirmed on Instagram that the upcoming album will be their final album.”

Listen To My Bloody America From City Morgue

While it is a sad day for fans of this genre-bending group, they certainly went all out with a final hoorah. Two of the singles ahead of this project were “Skull & Bones 322,” and “HAHA WACO.” “Skull & Bones 322” has probably the catchiest tune on the record. This is something you might not attribute to City Morgue’s style, as it is very avant-garde. Their blends of horrorcore, rap, rock, heavy metal, and various others are what captivated many who are into the underground scene.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand new album, My Bloody America, from City Morgue? Is this the duo’s best output together? Do you think they are an unheralded combo in the rap scene? We want to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below.
