Trippie Redd became a father this week, taking to social media to share images of his newborn son. However, the child, named Saint Michael, came as a shock to most of the rapper’s fanbase. “Bro just be randomly dropping bombshells like it’s nothing and then expecting us to pick up the pieces for him and create context,” one fan wrote on Reddit. “What i wanna know is who the hell did he get pregnant if that actually is HIS kid. if so then congratulations to bro but i got so many questions!! 💀 this past week has been one huge mind f-ck 😭,” added another. The shock announcement led made to wonder if this was just weird promotional material for Red’s upcoming album.

Despite this, fans have been left stunned and confused by the whirlwind of a week that Redd has subjected them to.

However, his most bombastic statement was that he is the first person to escape the Illuminati.

“I’m the first person to leave,” 607 Unc remarked. “I made the ultimate sacrifice and I got out the Illuminati. I’m the first person that can speak about it. Yeah, I sacrificed my son.” With a stack of cash in his hand, the spitter said that he was “deada** serious” and described himself as “half Illuminati and half street.” Of course, it’s difficult to tell whether this is a joke, a clout chase, a confession, a fantasy, or something in between. Either way, it’s certainly one way to put yourself out there as an artist.

Social media promptly roasted the celebrity parents when the newest child’s name was revealed. “Man’s 3rd child is a genshin event i’m crying,” one user wrote. However, the shock of this news was quickly replaced by another shock: turns out this was all fake. The West Coast rapper appeared to go back on his word by denying these claims on social media, and further digging yielded an answer.

First, reports from HipHopDX suggest that DJ Quik reached out to them first to debunk these rumors. “Hey peoples, that Paternity story is false, I don’t have Facebook,” he reportedly messaged the publication on Monday (August 28). In addition, the Compton native also took to his Instagram Story to make this publicly known to his followers on the social media account he actually has. “Ay.
