Cardi B Will Pause $3M+ Debt Collection From Tasha K After YouTuber Files For Bankruptcy

Despite her best efforts, it seems as though Cardi B won’t be getting her money from Tasha K anytime soon. Since winning her defamation lawsuit against the embattled YouTuber, the mother of two has been awaiting her nearly $4M payment. Naturally, Tasha has done everything possible to avoid admitting defeat. Since her motion for a new trial was rejected, the internet personality has no choice but to pay up. Unfortunately, she’s come up empty-handed, causing Cardi to take drastic measures.

A few weeks back, the Grammy Award winner began collecting Tasha’s YouTube and Google ad checks herself. This brought in a few thousand dollars to knock off the top. Her most recent payment was for just $640, proving that it’s going to be quite some time before she’s out of debt. Earlier this week, Tasha – born Latasha Kebe – filed for bankruptcy. Forms reveal she had no more than $95 in her Chase account at the time. As Radar Online reports, a judge has ordered that the New York-born artist stand down on efforts to collect her money while the woman who defamed her straightens out her situation.

Kebe filed for Chapter 11. This puts all “pending legal matters on hold” until the bankruptcy is dissolved, the presiding judge noted. Within the documents, she declared that her assets are worth an estimated $50 – $100K, while her liabilities come between $1 – $10M. Among her most valuable possessions are a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado, $6K worth of jewellery, and a few thousand dollars worth of clothing and purses, including two Louis Vuitton bags.

Aside from the large payment the rap diva is waiting for, Kebe also has $53K to pay on her car, an undetermined amount to the IRS, credit card bills amounting in thousands, and unpaid legal fees. How long do you think it’ll take Tasha K to pay back Cardi B the $3M she’s still owed? Let us know in the comments, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Cardi B Ordered To Halt Collection Payments From Vlogger Tasha K

Cardi B and Tasha K

Last month, rapper Cardi B proved she was determined to keep her word when she collected $640 from Youtube vlogger Tasha K. In an effort to satisfy the $4 million judgment she was awarded after suing Tasha for defamation, the Bronx grammy-winner was contacted by a rep for Google who informed her that Tasha had $9,304.81 owed to her. Cardi was awarded the cash.

Now Cardi has been ordered to halt collections while Tasha is in bankruptcy.

Radar Online reports:

Cardi B’s attempts to collect on $3 million owed to her by a blogger who spreads lies about her being an escort have been put on pause, RadarOnline.com has learned.

According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, a Georgia judge ordered Cardi to stand down on her efforts after Tasha K [real name: Latasha Kebe] filed for bankruptcy.

The judge said the Chapter 11 case puts all of Tasha’s pending legal matters on hold until the bankruptcy is resolved.

Earlier this year, the Bodak Yellow rapper was awarded $1 million in general damages and $250k for medical expenses for a grand total of $1.25 million. In addition, she was awarded $1.5 million in punitive damages and another $1.3 million for her attorney fees.

In the past couple of months, Cardi has been able to collect thousands from third parties. However, last month, Tasha filed for bankruptcy in Florida Court.

Tasha listed her assets in the $50k-$100k range while her liabilities total between $1 million to $10 million.

Tasha listed her assets as a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado, $2,750 worth of furniture, $500 worth of electronics, $2,500 worth of clothes including 2 Louis Vuitton purses, and a Coach person.

In addition, she listed $6k worth of jewelry and $100 in her checking account.

Tasha’s largest debt was the $3 million owed to Cardi. The other liabilities included $53k owed on her car, an undetermined amount to the IRS, thousands in credit card bills and a substantial amount of unpaid legal fees.

In the petition, Tasha listed herself as a content creator who has been self-employed for the past 7 years.

The blogger pulls in around $13k per month with her partner bringing in $17k per month for a grand total of $30k. She said their monthly expenses total $22k which leaves them with a $7k surplus.

In court documents, Tasha revealed she pulled in $134k in 2022 and $156k in 2021.

Cardi has yet to appear or dispute Tasha’s discharge.

Latto & Cardi B “Put It On Da Floor Again” For This Week’s “Fire Emoji” Playlist

Now that June is here, the smell of summer is wafting clearly through the air, and on our Fire Emoji update. At this time, many of our favourite artists are trying to get ahead of things by dropping off the song of the season to ensure it gets maximum exposure at the clubs and on the radio over the next few months. So far, one of the biggest standouts is Cardi B and Latto’s “Put It On Da Floor Again,” which finds the mother of two spitting one of the strongest verses we’ve heard from her in a minute.

Of course, there’s also the latest headline-making single from Gunna too. Titled “bread & butter,” the nearly four-minute-long track includes alleged disses aimed at Lil Baby and Lil Durk, however, the YSL artist has denied throwing shade at the former. As for fire collaborations, the latest from Moneybagg Yo and Future (“Keep It Low”), as well as Dave and Central Cee (“Sprinter”) both have our Fire Emoji seal of approval.

Following that comes LUCKI’s “NO BAP,” Saba and NO ID’s “hue_man nature,” and another joint from Bagg’s Hard To Love project, “Still.” Machine Gun Kelly is applying serious “PRESSURE” with his hot new single, and Metro Boomin’s skills continue to shine on the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse soundtrack. While the full 13-track release is obviously a must-listen, our personal favourite is “Annihilate.” On that, the producer links up with Lil Wayne, Swae Lee, and Offset, all of whom come through with insect-themed bars.

Kid Cudi continues to step back into the spotlight with “PORCHE TOPLESS,” and Flo Milli doined forces with Trina and Maiya The Don to give us a shemix of “No Love.” Beneath that you’ll find more from Metro Boomin, as well as French Montana and Kodak Black’s “I Can’t Lie” collab. Stream this week’s full Fire Emoji update exclusively on Spotify above. Are there any new arrivals you think we should’ve added? Let us know in the comments, and check back on Sunday to find more release recommendations on our R&B Season playlist.

Cardi B Twerks While Eating Popeyes On IG Live, Rants About Wanting To Expose DMs

Since delivering a Grammy Award-winning debut project in 2017, Cardi B has been primarily focused on raising her two children and pursuing other endeavours outside of music. Just a few weeks ago, the former stripper promised that her sophomore effort will arrive later this year. Leading up to that, she’s given us one of her most impressive verses in a minute. This New Music Friday (June 2), Bardi teamed up with Latto for “Put It On The Floor Again,” a remix of the Atlanta-based baddie’s most recent single.

The accompanying visual boasts plenty of twerking from both artists and the black-haired beauty has been retweeting fans quoting the catchy lyrics on Twitter throughout the weekend so far. Elsewhere on social media, Cardi hopped on Instagram Live to throw it back while blasting the song. Rather than in her usual glam, the Hustlers actress was wearing a bonnet and casual clothing, eating some Popeyes chicken while entertaining nearly 50K fans.

Many were satisfied with her dancing antics, but far fewer were happy with Cardi’s now-deleted Twitter rant about the fake love she often receives. “These b*tches be wild p*ssy and insane… Act different on the timeline and play a role but suckin’ d*ck in the DM… I KNOW THE REAL Y’ALL,” she ranted. “Then be throwing light shade so if I press they be like… What you talking about?” her next post began.

“Cardi you crazy! No b*tch throw the tree so I can smoke your leaves 🍃. PUT THAT SH*T ON THE FLOOR,” the 30-year-old continued. “I really wanna expose these b*tches DMs ONE BY ONE!!!!!!” she finished off, though several expressed distaste in her decision to not reveal who she was talking about.

LSU Extends Invite To Cardi B After Shout Out

Latto dropped the video to her remix of “Put It On Da Floor” (“Put It On Da Floor Again”) late on June 1. The remix features Cardi B and features the pair running riot in a grocery store. Also featured in the remix, in a brief cameo, is LSU superstar Angel Reese. Reese is college basketball’s it girl right now, shooting to national prominence after a standout 2022-23 campaign. Furthermore, Reese also recently linked up with Karl-Anthony Towns for a new commercial to air during the NBA Finals.

Worlds further collided thanks to one of Cardi B’s lines in the song. At one point in her verse, Cardi drops the bar, “I been ballin’ so damn hard, could’ve went to LSU.” The music video is currently #3 on YouTube’s music trending page. However, it’s not the only LSU connection to “Put It On Da Floor” in recent weeks. Star freshman Flau’jae Johnson was forced to apologize after adding a 9/11 reference to her own freestyle remix.

Following the release of the music video, LSU was quick to respond to the shoutout. “ok @iamcardib we’re ready for you,” the account for the women’s basketball team tweeted out. They included an image of Cardi B in an LSU jersey and an insert of her tweet shouting out her shout-out. After the video dropped, Cardi had tweeted “I BEEN BALLIN SO DEUM HARD COULD OF BEEN TO LSUUUU !!!!!!!” in response to someone pointing out the Reese cameo.

If Cardi accepts, she would be the latest in a long line of stars to link up with the team. Lil Wayne, DJ Khaled, and Ja Morant have all been seen with various members of the team. Furthermore, Cardi’s 5″3 frame wouldn’t prevent her from shooting some hoops in Baton Rogue. According to the NCAA, there was one 5″2 player (McKenna Hofschild, Colorado State) and two 5″4 players (Addie Porter, Chattanooga, and Lauren Park-Lane, Seton Hall) last season. If Cardi does accept the invite, you know we’ll have all the details here at HotNewHipHop.

LSU Extended An Open Invitation To Cardi B After Her Shout-Out On Latto’s New Song

If Cardi B ever decides to try basketball in addition to wedding planning, sushi cheffing, and football training, it looks like she’s already got a roster spot thanks to her verse on Latto’s “Put It On Da Floor Again” remix. The Louisana State University Women’s Basketball Twitter account responded to Cardi’s lyrical shout-out in the song (“I been ballin’ so damn hard, could’ve went to LSU”), writing, “ok @iamcardib we’re ready for you,” and including a photo of Cardi in a Tigers jersey. It’s incredible:

The appreciation certainly appeared to go both ways. LSU’s star forward Angel Reese makes a cameo appearance in the video for “Put It On Da Floor Again,” thanks to her impressive performance in the NCAA National Championship — both on and off the court — on the way to LSU becoming the NCAA Champions. Reese became a star after drawing criticism and acclaim for performing the Tony Yayo/John Cena “You can’t see me” gesture at rival Caitlin Clark, mimicking Clark doing it herself just a few games before. The instantly viral moment sparked a slew of discussions from the inane (“sportsmanship!”) to the vital (“Why is the media only lavishing attention on the white girl amidst this historic run by LSU?”)

The only way any of this gets any cooler is if Latto and Cardi do another remix, this time with Reese’s LSU teammate Flau’jae Johnson, who has already been invited to rap with Lil Wayne. Cardi, Latto, if you see this: Make it happen. For me. Please.

Latto is back with another banger, tagging with Cardi B for “Put It On Da Floor Again.” The new release, arriving courtesy of RCA Records, arrives with a new video taking the two rap queens across Atlanta and running into surprise cameos from Offset, BabyGrill, and LSU women’s basketball star Angel Reese.

The original version of this “Put It On Da Floor” remix, created by Go Grizzly, Squat & Pooh Beatz, and others, was first performed at Coachella Weekend 1 this year and has since received over 15 million streams across all platforms and playlists including RapCaviar, Rap Life, New Music Daily, and others.

Latto And Cardi B Just Had To ‘Put It On Da Floor Again’ On Their Fiery New Remix

Time to rip a fresh remix out of the plastic, because Latto has something brand new on her hands. After her latest single, “Put It On Da Floor,” went viral, Latto knew she had to give the song a magic touch. Today (June 2), she has shared a remix of her buzzy hit, featuring none other than Cardi B.

On their fiery collaboration, appropriately titled “Put It On Da Floor Again,” the two warn their opps that they are taking no prisoners.

Latto’s opening verse and chorus remain the same as the original version, maintaining the same energy.

Cardi then pops in on the second verse, reminding everyone that she hasn’t gone anywhere, and she has no plans to let up anytime soon, regardless of what any haters might say.

“Get these hoes some melatonin / Put they ass to bed,” Cardi raps on her verse, also adding that she’s “dancing sexy around the house / I feel like Britney Spears.”

At the end of the song “Big Latto” and “Big Bardi” let the listeners know that they’re having a “real b*tch party.”

Cardi B Is Considering Cashing In On Her ‘F*cking Maybach’ And Other Luxe Cars As They Just Collect Dust

Cardi B just might be cashing in on her extravagant and extensive car collection. In a new social media video upload, the Bronx rapper showed off her garage and noted that a lot of the vehicles were just sitting around unused.

As HipHopDX noted, the collection includes a red Ferrari SUV that was a birthday gift from Offset and a black Maybach.

“F*cking cars, it just collects dust,” Cardi said. “I wonder if it even turns on… This gift Offset gave me, she’s pretty but I ain’t seen her in forever. I gotta bring my Maybach to New York.”

“Just collecting dust, we might as well just sell the f*cking cars,” she added. “We might as well just sell the f*cking cars. Oh my God, look at my f*cking Maybach.”

Throughout the clip, she also pans to a gray car, as actual dust and other dirt can be seen on the roofs of the various cars.

However, the luxury purchases are ones that both she and Offset have loved — as she also bought him a Lamborghini Aventador in 2020. The year prior, she gave up and got a refrigerator for his birthday.

“You got every car,” she said at the time. “You got every jewelry. You got everything. You got every shoe. You know what I’m saying. What else can I give somebody that got everything?”

Check out Cardi B’s car (and dust) collection above.
