Cam’ron Compares His Relationship With Just Blaze To Russell Wilson And Marshawn Lynch’s: Watch

Just a few days ago former NFL running back and Super Bowl champion, Marshawn Lynch went on to Shannon Sharpe’s podcast Club Shay Shay. One of the topics that came up was how rocky his relationship was with Seattle Seahawks head coach, Pete Carroll, but more importantly, Russell Wilson. He stated that they never really hung out beyond the confines of the organization. Additionally, he revealed that when Wilson would call him it was through a blocked number and he was not polite during their chats. It has made its way around social media and one of the people to talk about it was rapper Cam’ron.

His sports talk show, It Is What It Is, is seeing some tremendous success after signing a huge contract. The Harlem icon discussed this topic about Russ and Marshawn, using a personal relationship to explain how messy the former teammates’ connection is. Cam’ron is acting as Lynch in this scenario and he using his former work partner Just Blaze as Russell. Let us just say he sends some strays towards the DJ.

Cam’ron’s story is a little all over the place in the clips above. However, the basic jist of it all, is that Blaze had a beat for Cam and it was not cleared. They could have made a lot more money if it was tidied up behind the scenes but, Cam did not really care about all of that. He just wanted to have a hit song and he did not appreciate how technical Blaze was at that time. He says all of this to say that it was more important to ditch the play call that cost the Seahawks a ring when Wilson threw the interception in the endzone. Instead, they could have done it the easier way by handing it off to Lynch at the 1-yard line. Essentially, sometimes it is more about working smarter not harder than it needs to be.

What are your initial thoughts on Cam’ron’s statements about his relationship with Just Blaze and how it measures up with Russell Wilson and Marshawn Lynch’s? Do you think it is an accurate anecdote to use? Were you surprised to hear about both of these stories? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. Cam’ron Is Riding A Huge Wave Of Confidence On “Go & Get It”

Kill Cam is back to feed the fans with a new single called, “Go & Get It.” This is his second solo single of 2023, on top of a collaboration track he did with Bengi C. Notes and Jaughti Naughtica with “Runnin Stop Signs.” The two cuts he released on his own include, “DIP DIP SET SET” and “It’s Only Money.” The latter of the two independent records features the cover art with the same font as the logo for Cam’ron’s talk show, IT IS WHAT IT IS TALK. It is a sports talk show that can be found on YouTube, Spotify, and plenty of other streaming platforms. “It’s Only Money” was put out on August 4, just a few weeks before he and Ma$e inked a massive deal with sports betting company, Underdog Fantasy.

It seems a little suspicious that Cam’ron would drop a song talking about money. Especially, right before signing on the dotted line for an 18-month contract worth around $30 million. Nonetheless, it is still a tremendous accomplishment in a stellar and legendary career. However, it does get you wondering if this latest effort, “Go & Get It,” has something to do with securing the bag recently.

Listen To “Go & Get It” From Cam’ron

Cam’ron is rapping about flexing hard all over the woodwind-backed beat. The hi-hats are a nice touch and the East Coast boom-bap feel is the perfect habitat for Killa Cam. He kills the instrumental, that is for sure. Additionally, the beat has a ghostly and haunting atmosphere which compliments his intimidating persona.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand new track from Cam’ron, “Go & Get It?” Is this version of Cam’ron still in his prime? Do you think this song has anything to do with his recent success with his talk show? We want to hear what you have to say about all of this. Sean “Diddy” Combs to Receive Global Icon Award and Perform at 2023 “VMAs”

Sean "Diddy" Combs to Receive Global Icon Award and Perform at 2023 "VMAs"

Hip-hop legend and mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs is set to receive the prestigious Global Icon Award and deliver a performance at the 2023 “VMAs.” The event will be broadcast live from New Jersey’s Prudential Center on Tuesday, September 12th at 8 PM ET/PT.

Diddy’s remarkable career and lasting influence, spanning over three decades with two #1 albums on the Billboard 200 and five #1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100, have earned him the Global Icon Award. This appearance marks his highly anticipated return to the iconic MTV stage since 2005.

In addition to this honor, Diddy is nominated for four other awards this year for his work on “Creepin” (Remix) and “Gotta Move On,” including two for “Best Collaboration,” as well as “Best Rap” and “Best R&B.”

The Global Icon Award, originally from MTV’s Europe Music Awards (EMAs), recognizes artists or bands with unparalleled careers and global influence. Diddy also hosted the MTV Europe Music Award in 2002.

Diddy’s history with the “VMAs” includes memorable moments dating back to his debut performance of “Mo Money Mo Problems” in 1997 and hosting the event in 2005. He has won Moon Person awards for “Best R&B Video” (1997) and “Viewer’s Choice” (1998) during his first year as a nominee.

Salute to Diddy for showing the Bad Boy Records artists love. Cam’ron revealed last week Ma$e was getting his publishing, but he isn’t the only artist. All Bad Boy artists did.

According to TMZ, Diddy turned down a nine-figure deal so he could give the publishing to Ma$e, Faith Evans, The Lox, 112, The Notorious B.I.G.’s estate, and more. Diddy is also giving publishing to the writers.

Diddy was reportedly approached by people who wanted to buy the publishing rights, instead opting to empower artists in the hope the music business would follow him as an example.

On Thursday (Aug. 30), Dipset general and ‘It Is What It Is” host Cam’Ron tipped off the move with his It Is What It Is co-host and longtime friend Ma$e.

Cam wrote, “My n***a murder had to sit this one out. He just got his publishing back from Puff. Just finished the paper work for that yesterday. Congrats @rsvpmase while he getting his music back in order, I’m dumping my hard drive pause. The lost files vol 1. Sept 8.”

After Ma$e claimed that his former boss and Bad Boy founder Diddy gave him a modest $20K for his publishing, the “Harlem World” slang spitter said he offered Diddy $2 million for his publishing back in 2020, but Mr. Combs refused his offer.

Cam’ron Celebrates Mase’s Publishing Victory, Ending Decades-Long Feud With Diddy

Cam’ron recently revealed a long-awaited resolution in the ongoing feud between Mase and Diddy. The Harlem rapper shared that the former Bad Boy artist had finally regained control of his publishing rights, putting an end to their years of dispute.  Cam’ron Publicly Celebrates Mase On August 30 Cam’ron took to Instagram to announce that Mase […]

Mase Finally Got His Publishing Back From Diddy, According To Cam’ron

For decades, one of hip-hop’s longest and most dramatic ongoing controversies was the feud between Diddy and Mase over the contract the latter signed with the former back in the ’90s. But now, according to Mase’s current podcast partner and longtime friend Cam’ron, that saga may have come to a satisfying resolution, with Mase getting his publishing back from Diddy after over 20 years.

On Wednesday this week (August 30), Cam posted a video on Instagram promoting his new mixtape The Lost Files, along with an explanation for the absence of any Mase features on the tape. “My n**** murder had to sit this one out,” he wrote {(Murda Mase was the Harlem’s rapper former nickname). “He just got his publishing back from Puff. Just finished the paper work for that yesterday. Congrats @rsvpmase while he getting his music back in order, I’m dumping my hard drive pause. The lost files vol 1. Sept 8.”

Diddy and Mase’s long, winding friendship/feud may have started nearly 30 years ago, but came to a head more recently, as Mase used a series of podcast appearances in 2020 to accuse his former label boss of jacking him for millions in royalties. Meanwhile, Diddy insisted that it was really Mase who owed him last year — after all, fronting the costs of launching a new artist’s career isn’t cheap, especially in the ’90s.

Meanwhile, the two rappers continued to orbit around each other, occasionally even performing together. This spring, Cam’ron and Mase launched their sports talk show, It Is What It Is, finding an interesting groove in making the sort of barbershop talk of their shared hometown Harlem an entertaining dialogue series allowing them to air out past grievances and crack jokes to their hearts’ content. And now that Diddy and Mase have also resolved their own tiff — or at least, the business disagreement between them — perhaps there’ll be more music from Murda Mase coming soon.

Damian Lillard Recreates Iconic “Paid In Full” Scene With Cam’ron

Paid In Full is cult classic crime drama from 2002. Starring Wood Harris, Mekhi Phifer, and Cam’ron, the film follows three Harlem drug dealers. The film is a fictionalized version of the lives of actual 80s dealers AZ Faison, Rich Porter, and Alpo Martinez. Largely panned by critics, the film found a following amongst select audiences. It currently holds a 93% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes. One of the most iconic scenes of the film is when the three main characters get Chinese takeout in an artfully shot scene.

Now, 21 years later, Cam’ron has recreated that scene with the help of a surprise guest. In a photo posted to social media, Cam’ron can be seen recreating the Chinese food scene with the help of NBA star Damian Lillard. The Blazers superstar was 12 years old when Paid In Full came out and still a full decade away from joining the NBA. However, it’s a fun moment of levity amid a brutal offseason for Lillard.

It’s now been several months since Damian Lillard requested a trade out of Portland. That request appears to be going nowhere. The Blazers appear happy to wait on an offer they would be willing to give Lillard up for. If you have forgotten, and who can blame you at this point, Lillard is under contract for four years and has no trade clauses in his contract. If the Blazers don’t trade him and he refuses to play, he’s the one that suffers.

Meanwhile, there doesn’t appear to be a trade market beyond Miami, who aren’t willing to meet the Blazers’ demands. “There’s not that many teams that are going to give you a bunch of players and picks for a 33-year-old who can’t stay healthy and has a giant contract sitting there. It was not anything Dame said or Aaron Goodwin said that shut down the market. That stuff didn’t help. But there weren’t teams lined up for him even before that,” an anonymous NBA executive told Forbes.

Cam’ron Announces “Lost Files” Project, Confirms Ma$e Got Music Rights Back

Overnight, Cam’ron took to Instagram to make two pretty big announcements. The first is that he has a new project coming soon. “I’m dumping my hard drive pause. The lost files vol 1. Sept 8,” his caption concludes. The thought of having a new compilation of unreleased material from Cam dropping next week got fans excited quickly. “This that whip straight out that Pyrex pot out of Harlem.. I’m gone burn some Purple Haze to this. how can you not put Killa in yo top5,” read one of the top comments on the post.

The other announcement he made on the post might be even more significant. “My nigga murder had to sit this one out. He just got his publishing back from Puff. Just finished the paperwork for that yesterday. Congrats @rsvpmase,” he begins the post. Ma$e has been fighting to get his publishing rights back from Diddy for a while so the news that he’s finally pulled it off is significant. “Wait mase can finally put out music again…bout time puff let him go,” celebrates another fan in the comments. Cam’ron Confirms Ma$e Won Publishing Rights Back From Diddy

This Instagram post comes just a day after Cam’ron made waves with yet another Instagram post. This time, he posted a video thanking Nas for including him in a Hip Hop 50 concert he put on despite the pair’s beef in the past. He was thankfully in particular because the experience allowed him to play Yankee Stadium for the first time.

Cam and Ma$e recently celebrated a major success for their podcast. Despite beginning earlier this year, it’s had a meteoric rise that just resulted in a huge six figure deal. The pair’s show joined the Underdog Fantasy sports network for at least the next 18 months. What do you think about Cam’ron dropping a new tape of unreleased material while Ma$e wins the rights to his music back? Let us know in the comment section below.
