A family dispute between Louisiana rapper Lil Boosie and his daughter, Toriana Hatch, has taken a public turn on social media. On Instagram, Toriana called out her father for allegedly giving her a car only to take it back when she left Atlanta to help her injured mother. In response, Lil Boosie vehemently denied the […]
If you haven’t seen them already by now, there are some absolutely wholesome pictures on Lil Baby and Michael Rubin embracing at the latter’s 4th of July white party. Still, unfortunately the show of love came under fire from homophobic remarks when they went viral online. While they’re not overtly bigoted, there’s usually a subtext there where some people immediately raise eyebrows when they see affection between two men. One of these came courtesy of 50 Cent on Instagram: “See this is why I don’t go to no party puffy and them at [side eye emoji],” he wrote. “Da f**k is going on here [facepalm emoji, sulking emoji] get the f**k off my young [ninja emoji] WTF!”
After this came out, Boosie Badazz hopped on Instagram Live to voice his frustration with people criticizing the Atlanta rapper. “I ain’t finna s**t on Lil Baby,” he responded to a commenter, saying it was just a poor picture and isn’t about what people assume. “I don’t give a f**k what picture he took. Ya’ll can get off my live with that Lil Baby s**t, I’m letting ya’ll know. Yeah, that’s my n***a. That man likes p***y. That man likes straight p***y. Say something bout Lil Baby again. B***h, I’m trying to get back on tour with Lil Baby, b***h a**, you think I’m finna say something bout Lil Baby? Get your b***h a** of my live, h*e.”
Regardless, after that star-studded party, the “Merch Madness” MC brushed that all off, hopping on a private jet with Michael Rubin and Meek Mill. Then, he performed at Vegas’ TAO nightclub for the NBA Summer Players Party on Saturday (July 8). In attendance were heavyweights like James Harden, Carmelo Anthony, Joel Embiid, Jayson Tatum, Flavor Flav, and many more. It’s clear Lil Baby wants a good time rather than worry about what 50 Cent or Boosie are saying about him.
Baby Performs In Vegas
Meanwhile, the Baton Rouge rapper’s defense of Baby is interesting considering his own history of homophobic remarks and challenging claims that he’s bigoted. It’s a murky line to walk, but one that’s apparently on a brighter side these days. Hopefully others can learn from his example and he continues trending in a more accepting and understanding fashion. Still, for more on 50 Cent, Lil Baby, and Boosie Badazz, log back into HNHH.
Boosie Badazz isn’t happy with labels for allegedly failing to pay him for a deal they struck with his artist Yung Bleu. Moreover, he recently took to Twitter after his Instagram Live rant on this matter to further expand on his issues. According to the Baton Rouge rapper, he didn’t even know that Empire Records and Universal signed this deal with Bleu, but that he still deserves the money they owe him for his artist’s partnership. In addition, he also alleged that they waited until he wasn’t around as much to finalize this and count him out of the equation. Overall, it’s quite the odd situation, but one that hopefully doesn’t cause any tension between these two MCs.
“@ghazi [Empire CEO] empire universal etc,” Boosie began his tweet. “CAN YALL PAY ME MY MONEY!! YALL ALL KNOW MY NAME WAS FORGED N I KNEW NOTHING ABOUT THIS DEAL WITH MY ARTIST [YUNG BLEU]! I TEXTED YOU N YOU IGNORED ME FOR 5 MONTHS UNTIL I SAID I WAS SENDIN PAPERWORK. U KNEW I WAS CEO WHY NOT CONTACT ME N GET THE DEAL DONE.”
“COLD PART, YALL WAITED TILL I WAS SHOT UP N A WHEELCHAIR N WENT DID THIS DEAL N GOT MY BROTHER TO FORGE MY NAME!” the 40-year-old continued. “ITS STR8 GREED. DO THE RIGHT THING N PAY ME. YALL THOUGHT I WAS TOO GANGSTER TO LAWYER UP. IM GO FIGHT YALL TILL DEATH FOR MY KIDS MONEY. THIS HAS CAUSED FRICTION WITH ME N MY OWN MOTHER N YALL THINKING ITS A GAME. YALL TRYIN ME ITS UP.” In a separate post on Instagram, Boosie posted the allegedly forged signature and another message against Empire and Ghazi.
Meanwhile, the First Day Back artist recently used Twitter for more positive reasons to urge people to listen to Coi Leray’s new album. “@coileray_ SHOULD HAVE SOLD AT LEAST 100K THE FIRST WEEK,” he tweeted. “‘NOBODY RECENT GOT MORE HITS THAN HER’ either, this s**t rigged. CELEBRITY KIDS JUST GET HATED ON WHEN ITS TIME TO SWIPE. MFS BE HATERS str8 UP. MY FAM GO THROUGH the Same S**t WE AINT STOPPING THO BELIEVE THAT.” Regardless, stay up to date on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Boosie Badazz.
Boosie’s recent performance in Tulsa, Oklahoma, took a dangerous turn when shots were fired, leaving four people injured. The incident occurred after Boosie concluded his set with the song “Set It Off.” During the Baton Rouge rapper’s performance in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on July 1, chaos unfolded as 20 shots were fired, leaving four individuals injured. Baton Rouge rap favorite Boosie Badazz was granted bond by a federal judge, who gave him permission to travel to do shows, but gave him one stipulation which will supposedly keep him in line.
While hangimg out in Jacksonville, Florida for Duval Day, Boosie showed off his new dance move that he created out of the hassle of wearing an ankle monitor, which is a part of his release conditions.
Boosie is currently facing federal firearms charges, which stems from being caught with an illegal weapon following a traffic stop in San Diego, California last month.
To everyone’s surprise, Boosie Badazz is not only back after a brief stint in jail, but he’s also back to dropping music immediately. Moreover, he just released First Day Back, a ten-track album that, in some pockets, fits the vibe of someone who just got his freedom. Of course, it’s unclear how much of this album was recorded and mixed before his incarceration, but it’s still the same old Baton Rouge MC that you know. For example, his vocal performances here are as nasal and expressive as ever, shifting between passionate singing and aggressive verses. When he got out of jail, he already celebrated plenty on IG Live, and odds are he has a lot more to celebrate now.
“He’s baaaaack!” Boosie started off his first Instagram Live after release from jail, where he ended up after being arrested on federal gun charges. “I wan’ thank God. I got chairs on my knees, I been praying so much. My family, all the prayer warriors who came to San Diego to support me. Yeah, Boosie Boo. Yeah! BET, I need three tickets. I go to BET Awards [on June 25] but I gotta go to my attorneys. That’s me! I’m back! Boosie Boo! That’s me! I’m back! I’m drivin’ the jeep. First day back. Prussia! You can get a ride now. But BET, I need three tickets. I need a haircut. Oh man, I’m outta breath already. Boosie’s baaaaaack!”
If you haven’t heard a Boosie Badazz album before, you’ll get a nice balance of softer cuts (like “Words Mean More”) and more aggressive party anthems here (like “Playing Games” and “Jump”). Features from Rich Homie Quan, Og Dre, and Tootie Raww also add some dynamism to the tracklist. Overall, it’s great to see Boosie return to his prolific nature and catch new wind to come back with a lot o grandeur and circumstance. While his legal future is unclear, there’s a lot he has to look forward to with this release. If you haven’t checked it out yet, you can find First Day Back on your preferred streaming service and peep the tracklist below. While he’s already out of jail on bond, Boosie Badazz’s gun case shook things up for him for a while, and could still face heavy consequences. Moreover, new allegations surfaced concerning his May 7 arrest this year that have to do with his attitude towards his bodyguards. For those unaware, authorities apparently spotted the Baton Rouge rapper with a gun on his waist on social media and tracked him down. Eventually, they found him in the Chollas View neighborhood in San Diego, California and discovered two guns in his SUV in a traffic stop. Now, prosecutors are making these claims concerning what role his security played- or rather, didn’t- in all of this.
Furthermore, lawyers once again brought forth accusations on Thursday (June 22) that Boosie threatened his bodyguards, ABC 10 News reports. Moreover, the threats reportedly stemmed from security not assuming ownership of the uncovered firearms in the vehicle they rode in. “You’re gonna to be in a body bag,” the 40-year-old allegedly told his guards. Michael Wheat, Assistant U.S. Attorney, expressed to the judge in the case that this raised concerns for the safety of these individuals.
However, the former Trill Entertainment artist’s defense team pointed out some inconsistencies with these allegations stacked up against official police reports. For example, his lawyer Meghan Blanco said that the threat prosecutors claim occurred is nowhere to be found in reports from the officers involved in the arrest. In fact, she maintained that these accusations only surfaced after authorities arrested Boosie on federal charges over a month later. As such, it’s unclear how much these accusations will impact the case, or how deeply the court will go in its investigation.
Meanwhile, the rapper recently blasted the prosecution for their “racist” appeal of his bond. “After the judge has granted me a bond, and I paid my full cash amount the prosecution refuse to respect the judges decision to let me go,” he tweeted. “They showed no evidence of me being a flight risk or a danger to the community. This is total misconduct from a prosecutor. He is racist and has evil intentions. Now they filed an appeal asking another judge to keep me in prison. Even my attorneys have never seen nothing like this in their career.” Regardless, stay logged into HNHH for the latest news and updates on Boosie Badazz.
These days, the conversation around snitching and hip-hop has become pretty volatile online, but Gunplay has his own thoughts on the subject. Moreover, the Miami rapper recently sat down for an interview with Cam Capone News, addressing a wealth of topics. Specifically, he lamented how the culture and game has shifted so much that MCs can now snitch and brag about it on their tracks. Furthermore, he spoke particularly on the Boosie Badazzarrest that went down recently, but his comments apply to other situations as well. While his comments on male and female rappers seem a tad unrelated, the 43-year-old’s point still came across with passion.
“It don’t matter,” Gunplay expressed said. “People don’t care about the integrity like that- the street code, and having integrity like that, it’s just gone. You can snitch now, and it’s okay. You can actually snitch and brag about it. You can be a male rapper one day, and the next day be a female rapper. It’s okay. And then, one day, you know, you can be married one day- and then the next day, be married to a f***in’ giraffe or some s**t, or a tree.
“Look at the game, man!” the Carol City MC continued. “Look at this s**t! You don’t see this s**t? Am I the only one seeing this s**t? It’s over. Morals is gone.” Of course, people have their own takes, experiences, and interpretations when it comes to these topics. One thing’s for sure, though: Gunplay lives by a strict moral compass when it comes to his beliefs. When people sought refunds for their GoFundMe donations to him after he bought his close collaborator a chain under unrelated circumstances, he went scorched earth on them. The campaign was actually to finance his daughter’s medical bills after emergency heart surgery.
“Every single one of you p***y-a** h*es and f**k n***as that went to the GoFundMe and donated and went and got a motherf***ing refund, you never gave it with your heart,” he said during a We In Miami interview. “You’re a piece of s**t. You’ll die that way. People that see me give my brother a gift, they automatically want to say that I bought that with GoFundMe money. N***a had to pay that back. So now, if you really want to be for real, my n***a, if a n***a spent that on a chain, how the f**k they got it right back instantly with no pressure?” For more news and the latest updates on Gunplay, keep checking in with HNHH.
