50 Cent Defended By DJ Envy Amid Mic-Throwing Battery Incident With Radio Host

When 50 Cent aggressively threw a mic in the crowd during a recent performance, he couldn’t have imagined how it turned out. Moreover, he struck Power 106 radio host Bryhana Monegain in the face, leaving her injured. However, not everyone thinks that Fif is in the wrong here, or at least, that he didn’t have any ill intent. Recently, on Friday (September 1), TMZ spoke to another radio host, DJ Envy of The Breakfast Club, about the incident. In his remarks, the media personality said that the G-Unit mogul didn’t mean to hit anyone with the mic and just had some bad luck with where it landed.

Still, Envy did concede that it’s an overall “terrible situation,” but seemed to chalk it up to Curtis Jackson’s throwing skills. After all, 50 Cent had an embarrassing first pitch at a Mets game some time ago, so there’s precedent for him not being good with the wrist flicks. In addition, the radio host said that he doesn’t think Monegain is overreacting at all, and that the New York MC will probably do his best to help her out. Whether that’s financially or something greater remains to be seen, but Envy seems confident that it’ll all be okay.

Regardless, he doesn’t agree with people who think that Monegain pressing charges is taking things too far. 50 Cent’s lawyer, Scott Leemon, recently spoke to Page Six about this incident, in which the rapper frustratedly throwing malfunctioning mics amid other tech difficulties during his show. “As I told LAPD this afternoon, my client Curtis would never intentionally strike anyone with a microphone,” he stated. “Anyone saying something different doesn’t have all the facts and is misinformed.”

Meanwhile, the clip itself made many revisit the conversation of how artist treat fans at performances and vice versa. We’ll see just how much the Queens native will have to answer for in legal and financial terms. It’s still too recent and unclear to tell, but it certainly opened up a Pandora’s box for Fif. With that in mind, come back to HNHH for the latest news and updates on DJ Envy and 50 Cent.

Boosie Badazz Blasts 50 Cent’s Bashing Of Lil Baby’s Pictures With Michael Rubin

If you haven’t seen them already by now, there are some absolutely wholesome pictures on Lil Baby and Michael Rubin embracing at the latter’s 4th of July white party. Still, unfortunately the show of love came under fire from homophobic remarks when they went viral online. While they’re not overtly bigoted, there’s usually a subtext there where some people immediately raise eyebrows when they see affection between two men. One of these came courtesy of 50 Cent on Instagram: “See this is why I don’t go to no party puffy and them at [side eye emoji],” he wrote. “Da f**k is going on here [facepalm emoji, sulking emoji] get the f**k off my young [ninja emoji] WTF!”

After this came out, Boosie Badazz hopped on Instagram Live to voice his frustration with people criticizing the Atlanta rapper. “I ain’t finna s**t on Lil Baby,” he responded to a commenter, saying it was just a poor picture and isn’t about what people assume. “I don’t give a f**k what picture he took. Ya’ll can get off my live with that Lil Baby s**t, I’m letting ya’ll know. Yeah, that’s my n***a. That man likes p***y. That man likes straight p***y. Say something bout Lil Baby again. B***h, I’m trying to get back on tour with Lil Baby, b***h a**, you think I’m finna say something bout Lil Baby? Get your b***h a** of my live, h*e.”

50 Cent’s Post About Lil Baby & Michael Rubin Pics That Boosie Took Issue With

Regardless, after that star-studded party, the “Merch Madness” MC brushed that all off, hopping on a private jet with Michael Rubin and Meek Mill. Then, he performed at Vegas’ TAO nightclub for the NBA Summer Players Party on Saturday (July 8). In attendance were heavyweights like James Harden, Carmelo Anthony, Joel Embiid, Jayson Tatum, Flavor Flav, and many more. It’s clear Lil Baby wants a good time rather than worry about what 50 Cent or Boosie are saying about him.

Meanwhile, the Baton Rouge rapper’s defense of Baby is interesting considering his own history of homophobic remarks and challenging claims that he’s bigoted. It’s a murky line to walk, but one that’s apparently on a brighter side these days. Hopefully others can learn from his example and he continues trending in a more accepting and understanding fashion. Still, for more on 50 Cent, Lil Baby, and Boosie Badazz, log back into HNHH.

Anthony Mackie Stands By Jonathan Majors Amid Domestic Violence Case

Jonathan Majors is currently in a lot of hot water concerning his upcoming domestic violence case, scheduled to begin on August 3. Not only is his March 25 arrest getting him in further legal trouble, but new allegations recently surfaced claiming a pattern of worrisome behavior. These date back to his time at Yale and also include some alleged on-set behavior for some of his projects. Still, many others in Hollywood are standing by the Creed III star, saying that the case still hasn’t brought a sustainable conclusion. Moreover, the latest to do so is fellow Marvel actor Anthony Mackie, who remarked on the situation to Inverse recently.

“We’re a country that was built on ‘everyone is innocent until proven guilty,’” Anthony Mackie said of the allegations against Jonathan Majors. “That’s one of the staples of this country. Nothing has been proven about this dude. Nothing. So everyone is innocent until proven guilty. That’s all I can say. It’s cr*zy where we are as a society. But as a country, everyone is innocent until proven guilty.” However, his remarks came on Wednesday (June 28), just a day before new developments emerged in the case.

Furthermore, The New York Times reported that the New York Police Department came to a complicated conclusion. They “determined that Grace Jabbari, who accused Jonathan of assault, attacked Majors herself and believe that there is enough evidence to support her arrest.” The victim claimed that Jonathan Majors slapped her, shoved her into a taxi, and grabbed her middle finger while on the way to his home in Manhattan. In addition, Majors’ attorney Priya Chaudhry said that she stole items from his home and denied her client’s alleged wrongdoing.

“We strongly requested the District Attorney dismiss all charges against Mr. Majors immediately and initiate proceedings against Ms. Jabbari, holding her accountable for her crimes,” she said in legal documents. “While we are hopeful that the District Attorney is reviewing these materials in good faith and will do the right thing soon, to accelerate our case, we’ve requested a trial date ASAP.” With these new layers to the case, it’s harder than ever to determine what went down. On that note, log back into HNHH for the latest news and updates on Jonathan Majors.

BlocBoy JB Defends Ja Morant

While a lot of people are commenting on Ja Morant’s most recent suspension after anything gun-flashing incident, few people are absolving him of any blame. However, BlocBoy JB broke that tendency and took to his Instagram Story to defend the Grizzlies player. According to the Memphis rapper, Morant should be free to enjoy his time away from the court however he pleases. In addition, he also brought up that guns themselves are not illegal and therefore shouldn’t be scrutinized as much as they have been in these cases. Whether you agree with JB or not, it’s becoming more clear by the day that he stands almost alone in his assessment.

“Guns are not illegal,” BlocBoy penned on the social media platform. “If he turnt in his car with his gun dats in his name in his yard and somebody recorded him dat ain’t on him. Free Ja.” Others in the NBA world and beyond, like Juan Toscano-Anderson, also pinned at least partial blame on Ja Morant’s inner circle. Of course, the “MURSIC” MC is far from the only figure in hip-hop to comment on this case.

“That man is trying hard to go play [in] Turkey or China or Serbia-Montenegro,” Fat Joe chimed in. “He’s trying hard to get kicked out the NBA. And those guys that’s with you? They not your peoples, Ja. They don’t care. This is a problem we have with our community becoming famous because the people around you, they like the girls that’s watching, they love the lifestyle- but they’re not you. They didn’t dribble the basketball in the snow on Christmas trying to figure out the Kobe moves or the Jordan moves. They didn’t put in the work like you.”

While Snoop Dogg shared a lot of memes on the matter, others in the game took the issue more seriously on initial impact. Meanwhile, GloRilla recently responded to a meme of an old picture of her holding a gun that a user compared Ja Morant to. No matter how many more funny pictures or scolding takes emerge from this, his future remains unclear. Regardless, stay posted on HNHH for the latest news and updates on BlocBoy JB and Ja Morant.
