50 Cent Faces Lawsuit Over Microphone Throwing Incident

Back in August, 50 Cent got frustrated when his microphone stopped working onstage, and decided to hurl it into the crowd. Unfortunately, this resulted in some alleged injuries for one concertgoer, Power 106 host Bryhana Monegain. Soon after the incident, Monegain shared photos of her bruised and bloodied face online from what appeared to be a hospital bed.

At the time, it was reported that he was being investigated for alleged battery, but nothing ever came of the investigation. Monegain hasn’t given up her pursuit of justice, however, as she recently filed a lawsuit against the NYC native. In her suit, Monegain claims that she’s suffered severe and permanent injuries from the microphone, which she claims hit her in the head and wrist.

Bryhana Monegain Wants 50 Cent To Cover Medical Expenses And More

According to Monegain, she suffered a concussion and a forehead laceration on top of other minor injuries. She says that while she’s returned to work since, the incident has left her with long-term emotional distress. She’s seeking medical expenses, wages she lost while in recovery, and other damages. 50 Cent has yet to respond to the lawsuit. He denied intentionally hitting Monegain with the microphone while he was being criminally investigated, however.

“Let’s be very clear,” Fif’s lawyer Scott Leemon began a statement at the time. “As I told LAPD this afternoon, my client Curtis would never intentionally strike anyone with a microphone. Anyone saying something different doesn’t have all the facts and is misinformed.” Monegain, on the other hand, alleges that she was his intended target. What do you think of Bryhana Monegain suing 50 Cent for allegedly hitting her in the head with a microphone over the summer? What about her alleging that the incident left her with permanent and severe injuries? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

50 Cent Won’t Face Charges For Mic-Throwing Incident During Concert: Report

In case you already forgot about 50 Cent’s microphone-throwing incident during an August concert earlier this year, the court is here to remind you that you have plenty of time to reacquaint yourself before the case officially closes. However, they informed us of this by officially stating that they will not criminally charge him for this incident. Moreover, legal authorities will keep the filing open until August 30, 2024, exactly one year after the incident. This means that the New York rapper must behave during this time, as he could still be reevaluated for criminal charges if anything else occurs between him and the poor soul that he struck in the head by flinging his mic into the stands.

For those unaware, 50 Cent became frustrated with technical difficulties during a show in Los Angeles. When he lobbed it into the crowd with force, it hit Power 106 radio host Bryhana Monegain, leaving her with lacerations on her face and head that needed medical attention. She filed a police report shortly after, which went to L.A. County’s District Attorney as a felony, and then landed in the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office. This last entity is the one that let TMZ know that Fif is not getting criminal charges right now and will not receive them, as long as he stays out of trouble with Bryhana and in general for the next ten months or so.

“Let’s be very clear,” 50 Cent’s lawyer Scott Leemon expressed in a statement concerning this incident. “As I told LAPD this afternoon, my client Curtis would never intentionally strike anyone with a microphone. Anyone saying something different doesn’t have all the facts and is misinformed.” This situation caused many to criticize the G-Unit MC for his actions despite his legal dismissal of any wrongdoing, including longtime rival The Game.

Meanwhile, others like DJ Envy actually came to his defense here, so in the public eye, it’s still pretty divisive. Still, at least in the legal sense, it looks like this is where the case will rest, and where it will hopefully stay for the next ten months. As such, it’ll be more of a debate and wild moment to look back on than another drama-fueled and contentious narrative. For more news and the latest updates on 50 Cent, log back into HNHH.

Tamar Braxton Rips Microphone Away From Fan: “I Know You Lying”

During a recent show, Tamar Braxton got fed up after she passed her microphone over to a fan who appeared to be struggling with her lyrics. In a new clip, the fan is seen singing into the microphone while staring down at her phone. Tamar didn’t seem to appreciate the fan’s behavior, promptly grabbing the microphone right out of her hand. “I know you lying,” Tamar told the fan as she walked away, looking pretty defeated.

While Tamar thought the fan was looking down at her phone to read the lyrics, the fan denies this. She took to social media to defend herself, claiming that she was simply trying to record the exciting moment. Luckily, it doesn’t look like the fan has any hard feelings over the mic-grab. “Omgggg y’all I need y’all helpp!!!!” she wrote. “Can y’all tag Tamar and tell her I was recordinggg!!!! I knew the words of YOU KNOW ME YK I KNEW THEM WORDS. LOVE YOU TAY TAY.”

Fan Says She Was Only Trying To Record

Regardless of whether or not the fan knew the lyrics, the microphone incident has left social media users divided. Some think the fan should have enjoyed the moment instead of looking down at her phone, as it was possibly a once in a lifetime opportunity to be onstage alongside Tamar. Others argue that no matter what, Tamar shouldn’t have grabbed the microphone away like that, embarrassing her own fan. A lot of commenters are somewhere in the middle, believing that both parties were in the wrong in this case.

What do you think of Tamar Braxton ripping the microphone out of her fan’s hand? Do you think Tamar took things too far? Do you think the fan knew the lyrics and was really just trying to record? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

50 Cent Defended By DJ Envy Amid Mic-Throwing Battery Incident With Radio Host

When 50 Cent aggressively threw a mic in the crowd during a recent performance, he couldn’t have imagined how it turned out. Moreover, he struck Power 106 radio host Bryhana Monegain in the face, leaving her injured. However, not everyone thinks that Fif is in the wrong here, or at least, that he didn’t have any ill intent. Recently, on Friday (September 1), TMZ spoke to another radio host, DJ Envy of The Breakfast Club, about the incident. In his remarks, the media personality said that the G-Unit mogul didn’t mean to hit anyone with the mic and just had some bad luck with where it landed.

Still, Envy did concede that it’s an overall “terrible situation,” but seemed to chalk it up to Curtis Jackson’s throwing skills. After all, 50 Cent had an embarrassing first pitch at a Mets game some time ago, so there’s precedent for him not being good with the wrist flicks. In addition, the radio host said that he doesn’t think Monegain is overreacting at all, and that the New York MC will probably do his best to help her out. Whether that’s financially or something greater remains to be seen, but Envy seems confident that it’ll all be okay.

Regardless, he doesn’t agree with people who think that Monegain pressing charges is taking things too far. 50 Cent’s lawyer, Scott Leemon, recently spoke to Page Six about this incident, in which the rapper frustratedly throwing malfunctioning mics amid other tech difficulties during his show. “As I told LAPD this afternoon, my client Curtis would never intentionally strike anyone with a microphone,” he stated. “Anyone saying something different doesn’t have all the facts and is misinformed.”

Meanwhile, the clip itself made many revisit the conversation of how artist treat fans at performances and vice versa. We’ll see just how much the Queens native will have to answer for in legal and financial terms. It’s still too recent and unclear to tell, but it certainly opened up a Pandora’s box for Fif. With that in mind, come back to HNHH for the latest news and updates on DJ Envy and 50 Cent.

50 Cent’s Lawyer Speaks Out After Mic-Throwing Incident

50 Cent has been making headlines recently, after his onstage outburst left Power 106 host Bryhana Monegain injured. The rapper had been performing in LA on his “Final Lap” tour, when some technical difficulties got in the way of the show. He was given various microphones that weren’t working properly, and eventually, he had enough. He threw two different microphones into the audience out of frustration, and one of them hit Monegain right in the head.

Monegain posted photos of her injuries on social media following the incident, unveiling a large, bloody gash on her forehead. It was later revealed that she had filed a police report about the incident, and that the rapper is now a suspect in a criminal felony battery case. In her police report, Monegain claimed that she believed 50 Cent looked right at her just before throwing the microphone, alleging that she was his intended target. Fif’s attorney, Scott Leemon, recently shared a statement with Page Six about the incident, denying her claims.

50 Cent Hits Woman In The Head With Microphone

“Let’s be very clear,” he began. “As I told LAPD this afternoon, my client Curtis would never intentionally strike anyone with a microphone.” Leemon continued, “Anyone saying something different doesn’t have all the facts and is misinformed.” So, according to 50 Cent’s lawyer, the entire thing was an accident. With that being said, he could still be facing legal repercussions.

The Game took the opportunity to clown 50 Cent for the incident, sharing the clip on his Instagram Story. “Curtis, yo fat a*s came to LA hittin women,” the rapper wrote. Fif’s LA show did have some good moments, despite the scandal, as Nas joined him onstage for a couple of songs. He also gave the performer his flowers, telling the crowd “when this man dropped, the whole rap game changed.” Keep an eye on HNHH for more updates on 50 Cent.

Cardi B’s Thrown Microphone Sells For Almost $100k At Auction

In one of the most viral moments of the year so far, late last month Cardi B threw her microphone at a fan while on-stage. More and more details rolled out in the days following. Though Cardi had asked someone to douse her with water to fight the Las Vegas heat, the fan appears to have thrown some kind of alcohol on her. She also may not have the best aim the world, as the fan who was hit by the microphone insists that they weren’t even the one who threw the drink. It all culminated in an investigation into the incident for potential battery charges by the Vegas police department. That investigation ultimately led to no charges being filed against Cardi.

Last week, the microphone that Cardi threw popped up for sale on eBay. Cleary fans were serious about wanting the piece of Cardi B memorabilia as more than 120 bids were placed on the item. According to TMZ, what began as a mere $500 auction quickly elevated into something much more substantial. The auction wrapped up Tuesday morning revealing that the microphone sold for an astounding $99,900. The microphone was reportedly auctioned off by the production company who owns it. The company also claims that the proceeds will be donated to two charities.

Cardi B Mic Sold At Auction

Just last week Cardi B and Offset released their new collaboration “JEALOUSY.” The song played into their public roles as a couple and featured plenty of hilarious bars throughout. Offset himself recently went on Good Morning America to explain how he procured Jamie Lee Curtis’ involvement in a promotional video for the song. Turns out all it took was an Instagram follow from the rapper.

After she seemed to be teasing towards her second studio album earlier this year, information has dried up completely. As her focus seems to have shifted more towards features fans continue to wait for her to deliver more material. What do you think of the massive final price tag for the microphone thrown by Cardi B? Let us know in the comment section below.

Cardi B Legally In The Clear Following Microphone-Throwing Incident

At the end of last month, Cardi B made headlines for her heated response to a Las Vegas audience member throwing their drink at her. The rap diva was understandably upset, considering the recent uptick in fans throwing objects at unsuspecting performers. Cardi B went all out, however, launching her microphone into the crowd. It ended up hitting someone, but according to them, they weren’t even the one who threw the drink. Overall, the incident definitely put a damper on Cardi’s “Bodak Yellow” performance.

The unnamed woman who was hit by the microphone filed a police report the next day, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. The police report states that “she was struck by an item that was thrown from the stage” at Drai’s Beachclub. Footage from the incident appears to show the microphone hitting another concertgoer, the alleged drink-thrower, and then bouncing onto the individual who filed the police report. Cardi was listed as a battery suspect as a result. Luckily for the rapper, however, it’s now been revealed that she is no longer facing any criminal charges.

Cardi B’s Criminal Battery Case Dropped

Apparently, the case never even made it to the District Attorney. “This afternoon we were notified by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dept., that as a result of their investigation, there will be NO charges against Cardi,” her lawyers told TMZ. “On behalf of Cardi, we appreciate the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dept’s diligent and prompt resolution of this matter.”

Footage circulated after the incident, which showed Cardi requesting that fans throw water at her during the show. After the mic-throwing fiasco, she made a witty remark to the crowd. “I said splash my p*ssy, not my face, b*tch,” Cardi said. The audio production company that owns the infamous microphone later decided to auction it off for charity. It’s currently listed for a whopping $100K.

Cardi B’s Microphone From Infamous Incident Hits Auction Block

In the aftermath of an intense interaction between Cardi B and an audience member, the microphone-turned-projectile is on eBay. The winner of this now-famous piece of equipment will have a cool backstory to tell their friends. Even better though, the proceeds are being split with two charities. Friendship Circle Las Vegas, which is where Cardi B performed, and the Wounded Warrior Project. The microphone is on eBay’s website for about a week and it currently is sitting at around $50,000.

The man responsible for this great deed is the owner of The Wave in Sin City, Scott Fisher. It is the audio production company that gave Cardi B her equipment. Fisher spoke with TMZ about the unmistakability of the mic. “It was pretty easy to track down the mic after the show because the white tape across the bottom of it says “MAIN.” His company is a large supporter of the nightclub scene in Las Vegas. If someone was looking to purchase this particular microphone, it runs the customer $1,000.

Debacle With A Happy Ending

Cardi B took the stage at Drai’s Nightclub on July 30 in blistering heat. The temperature reached 105 degrees and performing can be obviously very draining. So, it was reported by TMZ and numerous other sources that Cardi was asking fans to cool her off with water and ice during her show. One fan took that a little too aggressively and tossed her drink at the rapper. The fan filed a report for battery, but the situation now has a lighter undertone, with two charities receiving the divided final price of the mic.

The Wounded Warrior Project donates, “simple care and comfort items to the hospital bedsides of the first wounded service members returning home from the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.” The other organization is Friendship Circle Las Vegas. Their mission, “provides a fully-inclusive and non-judgemental environment that nurtures relationships and helps to create lifelong friendships for individuals with disabilities.” Be sure to let us know your thoughts on this whole situation below and stay locked in with HNHH for all the latest news and updates.
