Beyoncé Shout Outs Lizzo During ‘Renaissance’ Tour: ‘I Love You, Lizzo!’

Beyoncé Opens 'Renaissance' World Tour in Stockholm Sweden

Lizzo’s name is back in the Queens Mix of Beyoncé’s “Break My Soul” that she performs on the Renaissance tour. Fans in Atlanta revealed Lizzo’s name was reinserted, and Queen Bey also shouted: “I love you, Lizzo!”

Beyoncé didn’t intentionally omit Lizzo during her Renaissance World Tour show in Boston, according to Ms. Tina Knowles.

Fans at the Renaissance World Tour in Boston pointed out that Beyoncé skipped over Lizzo’s name during her “Queens Remix” performance of “Break My Soul.” The segment normally lists the iconic women throughout music history. During that performance, Beyoncé repeated Erykah Badu‘s last name instead.

This follows a scathing lawsuit that accused Lizzo of multiple forms of harassment and discrimination. You can read more on that here.

Hitting the Jasmine Brand comments, Tina Knowles notes Beyoncé didn’t sing her own sister’s name either.

Fans also pointed out Beyoncé using Badu could also be the acknowledgment of the Neo Soul legend shading her over her tour wardrobe choices. You can read more on that here.

“Those are stands that you put fans on, they’re called toilet seats,” Knowles said.

Jay-Z Poses For A Picture With Jermaine Dupri’s Daughter Backstage

Earlier today, pictures hit the internet of Jay-Z backstage with Jermaine Dupri’s daughter at a recent Renaissance Tour stop. The pair met up in Atlanta’s own Mercedes-Benz Stadium following Beyonce’s performance there. It’s no surprise to see notable names and family ties popping up along the Renaissance tour as they so often have. Just a few weeks ago Beyonce’s own mother Tina Knowles was in attendance for a show alongside Gayle King and Oprah.

Queen Bey’s recent stop in Atlanta made waves for a number of reasons. Firstly in a move wholesome way, when video of Quavo attending a show hit the internet. The charming clip sees the rapper showing off his bartending skills whipping himself up a drink to enjoy during the show. Beyonce also delivered her most up-to-date statement on Lizzo during the show. The “About Damn Time” singer is in hot water following a lawsuit made by her dancers alleging she created a hostile work environment. In the first Renaissance stop after the news broke Beyonce skipped over her name in the Queens Remix of “Break My Soul.” But last night she made her thoughts on the situation very clear for fans, saying “I love Lizzo” during the show.

Jermaine Dupri’s Daughter Meets Jay-Z Backstage

That isn’t even the complete list of artists who came to see Beyonce over the weekend. Chloe and Halle Bailey were also both in attendance for her Atlanta show on Saturday night. The pair seemed to have a great time and were of particular status given that Chloe has long been seen as one of Bey’s protégés.

Last week, a famous club in New York owned by Jay-Z closed after 20 years of operation. The 40/40 club originally opened in 2003 and spawned a number of other locations in cities like Atlanta and Las Vegas. The club is expected to open up again in a new location later this year. There’s A Wild Rumor About Beyoncé’s Toilet Usage On Tour, So Tina Knowles Addressed It

Earlier this month, it was reported that on the Renaissance tour, Beyoncé brings her own toilet seats so she doesn’t have to make do with used ones. A box seen backstage labeled “Beyoncé Toilet Seats” seemed to bolster the claim, and somebody reportedly told The Sun, “Beyoncé is such an elite performer she can literally request anything. Her tour roadies have seen everything so it’s not a great deal for them, but it does raise a smile from people who happen to catch a glimpse of the branded container.”

It appears, though, that this isn’t true. At least, that’s what Beyoncé’s mom, Tina Knowles-Lawson, is saying.

A TMZ interviewer asked Knowles about the toilet rumor yesterday (August 14) and Knowles laughed, saying, “That is so ridiculous.” The interviewer then made note of the box labeled “toilet seats” and Knowles explained, “Yeah, because those are stands that you put fans on, they’re called ‘toilet seats.’”

Meanwhile, Beyoncé brought her tour to Atlanta last night, and while on stage, she gave a shout out to Lizzo, saying, “I love you, Lizzo.” This came after people thought Beyoncé intentionally omitted Lizzo’s name from her performance of “Break My Soul (The Queens Remix)” after news of the Lizzo lawsuit was revealed.

Lizzo is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Beyoncé Delivered An Endearing Message To Lizzo As Allegations Continue To Mount Against The Singer

The city of Atlanta, Georgia’s love for Beyoncé was put on full display when local officials marked August 11, 2023, a commemorative holiday named after her. After taking the stage of the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Beyhive members in attendance at her August 12 Renaissance World Tour stop amped things up and snatched Washington, DC‘s crown as the winners of the Eerbody On Mute challenge.

But Beyoncé had someone she wanted to pour into while on stage yesterday (August 14) for her final night in the city. She took a moment to deliver an endearing message to Lizzo. “I love you, Lizzo,” she told the sold-out crowd.

Lizzo hasn’t responded to Beyoncé’s statement. Still, it must come as a great comfort when factoring in fans’ speculations that her recent legal woes played a part in Made In America 2023’s sudden cancellation, a festival long associated with Beyoncé’s husband, Jay-Z. On August 1, when Beyoncé skipped over Lizzo’s name during her “Break My Soul (Queens Remix)” onstage, users alleged that the pending litigation again was at the root.

However, that was quickly snuffed out when Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, denied the claims on social media.

Beyonce Says “I Love You, Lizzo” During “RENAISSANCE” Tour Stop

It seems like Beyoncé is doubling down on her support for Lizzo after fans believed that she shaded her during a recent “RENAISSANCE” tour stop. Moreover, there’s a part of “BREAK MY SOUL” in which the superstar sings her name that she omitted during a show. However, this speculation didn’t last long, as she made sure to mention the “Special” star during a subsequent performance. If you didn’t know by now, this came about thanks to the multiple allegations of mistreatment, sexual harassment, and the creation of a hostile environment against the singer. After this speculation lit a fire on the Internet, the Lemonade artist made things much clearer.

“I love you, Lizzo!” Beyonce proclaimed during her most recent tour concert as of writing this article. With this, many fans expressed divided opinions over Queen Bey’s support. Some still dismiss the allegations as just the frustrations of ex-employees, whereas others give more credence to their testimonies and experiences. Overall, it’s still a recent development with not much official information out there, so it’s tough to determine the validity of this at the moment. Still, that doesn’t mean that these dancers and colleagues shouldn’t get their deservedly due consideration and that Lizzo shouldn’t be held accountable.

Quavo Shows Up At Beyonce Tour Stop in Atlanta

Quavo is in full-on album mode. The former Migos rapper is gearing up to release his first new solo album in 5 years this week. He’s been teasing the project on Instagram for weeks since it was delayed from its original release date in early March. That included a number of promotional images, a confirmed album cover, and just this morning a brand new snippet of one of the album’s songs. But even while he’s in the process of promoting a new album, he couldn’t resist stopping by for a Beyonce show.

Celebrities have piled up at various stops on the Renaissance tour all summer. It’s no surprise that during a recent show in Atlanta, some hip-hop royalty was in attendance. A video made the rounds last night of Quavo at the show but he was doing something unexpected. The clip shows the rapper bartending, or rather, making a drink for himself to his own specifications. Onlookers were exceedingly amused by his display at the show. The clip comes just a few days after 21 Savage, who is on a pretty substantial tour of his own right now, stopped by a Renaissance stop and seemed to have a great time.
