Bebe Rexha Called G-Eazy An ‘Ungrateful Loser,’ Then Deleted Her Post, Then Expressed Regret At Deleting It

Bebe Rexha and G-Eazy have teamed up a couple of times, on 2015’s “Me, Myself & I” and then on Rexha’s 2017 song “F.F.F.” Since then, though, the two have clearly had a falling out, based on Rexha’s recent social media activity.

As People notes, yesterday (June 13), Rexha shared a screenshot of a text message she received from somebody, about potentially filming some social media content with G-Eazy. She wrote on the Instagram Story post, “@geazy you have my number,” adding, “Why don’t you text me and ask me yourself you stuck up ungrateful loser. You’re lucky people are liking you again.”

The post was later removed from Rexha’s Story, but after that, she took to X (formerly Twitter) to explain, “Someone from my team had me take down my Instagram story. I decided to remove it because it felt very negative and toxic. Sometimes trauma can lead us to react that way, and that period of my life was traumatizing. I am writing this because I regret taking it down and I want to say that I still stand by what I said.”

Meanwhile, Rexha recently retweeted a photo of Halsey and herself talking, which was captioned, “Bebe Rexha and Halsey talking about how they carried G-Eazy’s career.”

Bebe Rexha Claims She Gave G-Eazy His Only Hit In Scathing Rant

Artists can’t seem to stop feuding in 2024. Drake and Kendrick will go down as the biggest battle of the year, but every week there’s a new disagreement between artists. Bebe Rexha and G-Eazy were not on our bingo board for the next rap-related beef, yet here we are. Rexha put the Oakland rapper on blast on June 13. She not only took credit for helping to put G-Eazy on, but alluded to knowing things about him that would damage his public reputation.

The diss came about when Bebe Rexha was asked to film media content alongside G-Eazy. She not only refused, but she mocked the rapper for not reaching out himself. “@G-Eazy you have my number,” she wrote over a text screenshot. “Why don’t you text me and ask me yourself you stuckup ungrateful loser.” It only got meaner from there. Rexha commented on G-Eazy’s recent resurgence, and suggested that it could all fall apart if she decided to share her experiences. “You’re lucky people are liking you again,” she wrote. “Cause I could go in on all the sh*tty things you’ve done and how you treated me after giving you your only real hit.” The cherry on top? A formal no to the initial request. “Btw,” Rexha added. “The answer is no.”

Bebe Rexha Claims G-Eazy Did “Sh*tty Things” To Her

The hit that Bebe Rexha is referencing is 2015’s “Me, Myself & I.” It was the lead single on G-Eazy’s fourth album, When It’s Dark Out, and proved to be his commercial breakthrough. The song peaked at number seven on the Billboard Hot 100. It was the biggest hit of both artists’ career. Rexha’s claim that she gave G-Eazy his only hit is not entirely true, however. While she has scored an even bigger hit with the number two single, “Meant to Be,” G-Eazy managed to top the success of “My, Myself & I” as well. His 2017 single “No Limit” peaked at number four on the Billboard Hot 100.

Rexha’s IG rant is worlds away from the praise she heaped on G-Eazy in 2017. She told HipHopDX that the two of them actually had great chemistry and quite a bit in common. “It’s interesting, we’re like the same person,” she claimed. “We both love music. I think we’re just kind of on the same wavelength when it comes to just wanting to be iconic. Working with him is just such an incredible energy and chemistry.” Obviously something transpired between the two artists behind closed doors. Time will tell if the rest of the world finds out what it was.

A Helmet-Wearing Ari Lennox Is Prepared For Any And All Objects Concertgoers Attempt To Throw Onstage

Entertainers have a simple holiday wish, stop throwing sh*t onstage during performances. Just when you thought the gross trend had died off, news of its resurgence flooded social media.

While in Los Angeles for Rod Wave’s Nostalgia Tour stop on November 29, “Waste My Time” singer Ari Lennox fell victim to an attendee’s desperate and unacceptable cry for attention. Lennox was nearly hit with what appeared to be a water bottle hurled by a concertgoer. Lennox verbally ripped the fan a new one as the crowd cheered her on. Yesterday (November 30), for the tour’s next stop in Oakland, Lennox sported a helmet just in case someone tried the stunt again.

In a video shared by a fan, Lennox fiercely swayed onstage to her song “Shea Butter,” she temporarily rethought things. “Hey, Oakland. My name is Ari Lennox… I don’t know should I keep this thing on or what,” Lennox asked the crowd.

Lennox is known for her sharp sense of humor, but given the injuries sustained by Bebe Rexha in June, when she was hit in the eye with a phone, musicians aren’t willing to take any chances. Latto was nearly willing to grapple with one fan at Rolling Loud Germany who threw something at her. Hell, Cardi B took it a step further by throwing her microphone at a concertgoer who splashed her with water.

Fortunately for Lennox, the show went off without any new incidents.

Bebe Rexha Says Nicki Minaj Is Better Than Cardi B, Which Sends In A Frenzy

Of the longest-running debates, the rap community has been Nicki Minaj versus Cardi B. For most music fans, these types of conversations never get stale. However, it seems a good amount of people are sick of this battle between the two femcees from New York. To be quite frank, it is a bit of an unfair comparison. Nicki has been in the game for far longer than Cardi. That also leads her to be more influential by default as well. There are so many female rappers who credit Queen Nicki as one of their biggest inspirations. Pop star Bebe Rexha seems to agree with that same sentiment.

Bebe, from New York as well, has seen both artists at their highest respective powers. Additionally, she has had the pleasure of working with both ladies. Her and Nicki’s biggest track came in a collaboration with David Guetta on “Hey Mama.” As for Cardi, these two worked together on “Girls,” which found its way on to Rita Ora’s 2018 record, Phoenix.

Clearly, she knows a thing or two about this age-old question. On a recent IG live tracked down by TMZ Hip-Hop, Bebe and her stylist discussed who they thought was better and they both landed on Nicki, respectfully. The determining factors for them were the fact that “Nicki writes her own s***,” and longevity, among others, put her over the top of Cardi. Well, fans were not too pleased, calling Bebe out for pitting them against each other.

What are your initial thoughts on Bebe Rexha’s answer on who is better between Nicki Minaj and Cardi B? Who do you prefer in this debate? Will this question ever stop being asked? We would like to know what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your hottest takes in the comments section below. The year is winding down, but before it does, it is always fun to reflect on what happened thus far. In the world of music (at least on the fans’ end), Apple Music Replay and Spotify Wrapped remind listeners of their favorite albums, EPs, and singles. Likewise, the Billboard Music Awards is all about the collective data. Last month, the complete nomination list was shared. So, who is performing at the 2023 Billboard Music Awards?

Thus far, only four featured performances have been announced. Those entertainers are Bebe Rexha, David Guetta, Peso Pluma, and NewJeans. The organizers revealed that additional performers will be announced on social media leading up to the ceremony.

Based on the stacked nominee lists, fans hope SZA, up for 17 awards, could hit the stage, especially after she reportedly opted out of performing at the 2023 VMAs. The most nominated artist of the evening is Taylor Swift, up in 20 listed categories. Peso Pluma is nominated in six. David Guetta and NewJeans are nominated in five each.

The 2023 Billboard Music Awards ceremony and performances from the evening will be shared across their official social media platforms or seen live on November 19 at 8 p.m. Eastern. Find more information here.

Bebe Rexha To Body-Shamers: “I Know I Got Fat”

Bebe Rexha has issued a plea to the public. She is urging them to refrain from discussing her recent weight gain of 30 pounds. She has attributed the gain to her polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) diagnosis. This follows an incident where she was struck in the face by a cellphone during a performance in New York. The 33-year-old pop star, sporting a noticeable black eye, took to Twitter to express her frustration. She is wary of the constant criticism about her appearance. In a tweet, she declared her exhaustion with the topic. She also acknowledged her weight gain but emphasized her desire to move on from the discussion. “‘I know I got fat. I’m just so sick of people talking about it. NEXT!!!!!!’ she tweeted.

In another tweet, Bebe Rexha acknowledged that weight fluctuations are a natural part of life. She said that people should consider the various factors that can contribute to changes in one’s body, such as medication or health conditions. Her posts garnered a multitude of supportive responses from fans, who reassured Rexha of her beauty and talent. They expressed disappointment in the persistent habit of finding fault in others. Additionally, they encouraged her to ignore the negativity.

Bebe Rexha’s Health Issues

Earlier, Bebe Rexha had shared a bathroom mirror selfie, lifting her sweatshirt to reveal her stomach. She said she was proudly embracing her current “fat era.” In a previous interview, she openly discussed her struggles with weight and a hormonal imbalance she experienced. The hitmaker emphasized that in the year 2023, society should have moved beyond fixating on people’s weight and appearance. She said people should be considering the personal struggles individuals might be facing. Rexha also acknowledged her love for food and her ongoing journey of self-improvement. However, she also expressed a temporary sense of discouragement.

During various media appearances, Rexha has also shed light on her health issues, revealing her diagnosis of PCOS. It is a hormonal disorder affecting approximately one in ten women of childbearing age. She disclosed that the condition has played a significant role in her weight gain. It has caused rapid fluctuations in her body size. Additionally, Rexha highlighted the challenges she has faced with weight and body image. This includes the pressure she received from her record label to lose 20 pounds when signing her first record deal. What do you think of Bebe Rexha’s comments on her body? DaBaby Shares His Take On Bebe Rexha Phone Drama

Earlier this week, pop singer Bebe Rexha was hit in the face by a phone thrown by a fan during one of her shows. She ended up needing stitches and the pictures she posted of the aftermath went viral. A photo and quote from the man responsible for throwing the phone also went viral following the incident. As is often the case with viral stories, many other celebrities gave their thoughts on the situation. One of those was DaBaby, who was asked about the story when TMZ recently caught up with him.

The rapper who is nothing is not humorous, had an unsurprisingly funny take on things. DaBaby took the opportunity to promote his new project, saying fans aren’t for throwing, they’re for streaming his music. The rapper is no stranger to things being thrown on stage during performances. In a notorious viral video DaBaby has to dodge a shoe thrown on stage during his show at Rolling Loud. Unsurprisingly though even in that moment he managed to give the moment a humorous spin.

DaBaby’s Thoughts On Throwing Objects On Stage

DaBaby recently celebrated a major streaming milestone. He’s not the only male rapper with three songs released this decade that have each been streamed a billion times on Spotify. His own track “ROCKSTAR” with Roddy Rich, and his features on Dua Lipa’s “Levitating” and Pop Smoke’s “For The Night” have all reached one billion streams. DaBaby shared a video of himself celebrating the achievement and of course, promoting his new song.

Last month DaBaby reflected on a different controversy stemming from his live performances. Back in 2021 he broke out into a homophobic rant during another performance at Rolling Loud. In the aftermath of that drama many called him out online for his hateful sentiments. In the days following the drama he made further comments about his words that felt more like doubling down than an apology. He seemed to do this again recently while looking back on the incident. What do you think of DaBaby’s comments about the Bebe Rexha phone drama? Let us know in the comments below.

Bebe Rexha: The Unconventional Pop Star’s Journey

Singer and songwriter Bebe Rexha is currently making headlines after a fan threw a phone at her, hitting her in the face during a concert. Many artists and fans have spoken out in support of the singer who needed stitches after the incident. The artist, born Bleta Rexha, is a chart-topping artist, known for her witty pen and killer vocals. Her career kicked off in 2010, before a significant rise to fame three years later. She is currently signed to Warner Bros. Records and Warner Music Group.

The Grammy-nominated singer rose to fame after receiving songwriting credits on Eminem and Rihanna’s hit single, “The Monster.” Since then, she has released three EPs and three studio albums. Her third album, Bebe, was released on April 28 to rave reviews. After the phone-throwing incident, Bebe Rexha has revealed that she’s just fine and is recovering well. Her career continues to enjoy success, as she’s promoting her album on tour.

Early Beginnings

Bebe Rexha was born in Brooklyn to an Albanian family from North Macedonia. In high school, she joined the choir and focused more on her music. The singer didn’t take long to sign with a talent scout, which would eventually kickstart her ascent in the industry. By 2010, Rexha had begun to garner buzz in the underground music scene.

By 2010, she collaborated with Pete Wentz, a member of the famous rock band Fall Out Boy. Following Fall Out Boy’s indefinite hiatus, she provided vocals for Wentz’s new experimental band, Black Cards. Two years after the formation of the new band, Rexha departed to pursue a solo career.

Bebe Rexha’s Solo Career & Breakthrough

Due to her significant buzz, Rexha secured a deal with Warner Bros. Records in 2013. Furthermore, her skills as a songwriter began to enjoy attention, and she wrote songs for Selena Gomez, Nikki Williams, and Rihanna. The single “The Monster” became a chart-topper in numerous countries, and Rexha’s background vocals can be heard on the track.

However, Bebe Rexha eventually revealed that she had “no choice” but to give the song away. The chorus featured Rihanna’s vocals and was initially meant to be for Rexha herself. She had originally penned a song titled “Monster Under the Bed,” which featured the signature hook. Regardless of the potential it had, Rexha let the song go.

During a Facebook Live chat, she said, “Think about it. I had just turned 20, and I didn’t know any different. I see now that the song opened so many doors for me. At that time, I had no choice but to give that song away. I had no money and no record deal.”

While “The Monster” propelled her career in a positive direction, Bebe Rexha still cemented her name as a pop star afterward. She has written songs for several artists, including Iggy Azalea, Nick Jonas, and Tinashe. Her singles catalog is also stacked with features from many notable Hip Hop stars. Some rappers she has worked alongside include Doja Cat, Nicki Minaj, G-Eazy, Snoop Dogg, and Lil Wayne

Personal Life

Bebe Rexha is a largely private celebrity but often lets her fans into her world now and then. She has cited Lauryn Hill as her major musical inspiration. Although primarily a pop artist, Rexha has also become known for her versatility. Her work spans various genres, from R&B, to country, rock, and dance.

In April, the singer revealed that she has polycystic ovary syndrome, also known as PCOS. She is also a champion of body positivity and is known to call out designers who refuse to dress her because she is a size 8. She considers herself fluid sexually and revealed in 2019 that she has bipolar disorder.

The unfortunate phone-throwing incident may have put Bebe Rexha’s name on many more lips, but the artist’s work always speaks for itself. The alleged assailant, Nicolas Malvagna, has now been charged with two counts of assault in the third degree, one count of harassment in the second degree, one count of aggravated harassment in the second degree, and one count of attempted assault in the third degree.

Bebe Rexha Enlisted Snoop Dogg For ‘Satellite,’ A ‘Stoner Anthem’ Appropriately Dropped On 4/20

Snoop Dogg already sold out his limited-edition Doggystyle vinyl box set, but his celebration of 4/20 didn’t end there. He teamed with Bebe Rexha for her new single, “Satellite,” billed as a “disco-inspired stoner anthem.”

Out today, April 20, “Satellite” boasts a trippy video from Venturia Animation. It begins with the real-life Rexha and Snoop Dogg lounging around. Snoop is smoking a blunt, of course, and explains to Rexha that he’s there to help her “do some different things and go to a different place.”

“You know, Snoop, I’ve always wanted to go to outer space, and I heard you’re the right guy to talk to,” she says.

Snoop exhales in Rexha’s direction, and we’re taken into an animated universe. Naturally, an animated Snoop greets us — he has green skin and a goatee in the shape of a marijuana leaf — with, “‘Tis the season for pleasin’! What happens here, stays here. Am I loud and clear? Or is the smoke f*ckin’ with your ear?”

A disco-infused pop beat kicks in, and we find Rexha animated in the style of The Jetsons. “Last night I got higher than a satellite,” she belts.  “I took a one way ticket  / It’s a one man mission to paradise.”

Snoop adds an infectious flow, “Prepare to take flight / I’m the captain here, my dear / No veers just steer through the atmosphere / D-P-G-C, we be Snoopy Bebe.”

“Fans will be able to immerse themselves even further in the ‘Satellite’ universe with Bebe’s Mothership Hot Box,” a press release explains. “After logging on to the TerraZero Intraverse space, which delivers a higher fidelity experience that’s also mobile-accessible, visitors can explore vintage environments, dive into Rexha’s new music, seek out a very special prize, and of course, smoke a virtual blunt to blast off to the mothership!”

It continues, “The activation was built by TerraZero using their Intraverse technology — the debut of the technology for TerraZero and the first use of the technology for Warner and the music industry.”

Rexha is closing in on the arrival of Bebe, her third studio album due out on April 28.

Watch the “Satellite” video above, and see Rexha’s upcoming Best F*n Night Of My Life Tour dates below.

Bebe is out 4/28 via Warner Records. Find more information here.
