DJ Akademiks Wants Lupe Fiasco To Start A Battle With Kendrick Lamar

DJ Akademiks is calling on any rapper with the skillset to take down Kendrick Lamar to step up and challenge the iconic Compton rapper. He made the comments while reacting to Big Sean’s recent appearance on Charlamagne Tha God’s new podcast, Out of Context. Sean revealed during the interview that he almost had a beef with Lamar following the release of a leaked version of “Element.” On the track, Lamar had dissed Sean but quickly called him up to apologize.

“Yo, I’m at the point—even y’all say Drake ain’t win— I’m rooting for any n***a that could f*ck Kendrick up! I’m tired of this sh*t!” Akademiks yelled while streaming. “He got rappers sounding like h*es! N****s are apologizing, scrolling through their text messages unsending what is this n***a doing? Y’all got the same 24 hours in a day why can’t y’all squabble with this little midget, what the f**k?!?!” From there, he suggested Lupe Fiasco needs to take down Lamar.

Akademiks’ suggestion comes after Fiasco recently clarified that he doesn’t have any issues with Lamar during a conversation with Joe Budden on X (formerly Twitter) Spaces. “I do not have a problem,” he claimed. “No matter what was said in the past, what you think happened, what happened, what didn’t happen. I personally and professionally do not have a problem with my brother-in-arms Kendrick Lamar.” Fiasco previously sparked rumors about a hatred for Lamar by siding with Drake in their viral feud.

Rapsody Breaks Silence On J Cole & Kendrick Lamar’s Feud: “War Is War”

Rapsody addressed the previous feud between Kendrick Lamar and J Cole, both of whom she’s collaborated with in the past, during an appearance on The Bootleg Kev Podcast. In doing so, she praised Lamar’s To Pimp a Butterfly and remarked that if it were her in the battle, she would’ve avoided going at Lamar’s discography. Cole labeled the project overrated during his diss track, “7 Minute Drill,” which he’s since removed from streaming services.

“I try not to speak on these things – the whole thoughts, myself, I mean,” Rapsody said. “But, eh. He’s a man. He made his decision. But if I’m just speaking from me? If I’m in that position? I love this – the spirit of what this is, the sport of what this is.” From there, she spoke on To Pimp a Butterfly. “When Cole made his apology, and when he did it, I was like, ‘I would never approach it, going at his discography.’ But the art of war is just…war is war,” she said.

The feud began when Lamar dissed Cole and Drake on Metro Boomin and Future’s “Like That.” Although Cole responded with “7 Minute Drill,” he apologized for doing so just days later. “That sh*t disrupts my f*cking peace,” he admitted at Dreamville Festival. “So what I want to say right here tonight is in the midst of me doing that, trying to find a little angle and downplay this n***a’s f*cking catalog and his greatness, I want to say right now tonight, how many people think Kendrick Lamar is one of the greatest motherf*ckers to ever touch a f*cking microphone? Dreamville, y’all love Kendrick Lamar, correct? As do I.”

Joe Budden Responds To JR Writer Wanting To Battle Him

As if Joe Budden hasn’t been in enough rap beef as of late, it looks like he sparked a new one. Moreover, during a recent episode of his podcast, he blasted an old verse from rapper and freestyle veteran JR Writer on his 2018 song “Presidential.” JR responded to this attack by challenging the podcaster and fellow rapper to a battle, sharing an embarrassing clip of Budden free styling and getting boos from the crowd. “Now JR… You don’t even believe what you’re typing to me lol,” the Slaughterhouse MC responded to Writer’s attacks. Furthermore, these were a series of tweets and Instagram Story posts in which the Harlem lyricist continued to go at the media personality for his comments.

“‘And y’all booing the hard s**t’ [laughing emoji],” JR Writer quoted Joe Budden while sharing the clip of him getting booed at a freestyle, which was the one Joe responded to. “Since you keep speaking on me, let’s jump in the ring so I can smoke the s**t out you bozo @JoeBudden. If not shut ya hating a** up! Lol.”
