The Zeus Network hosts some of the hottest and most provocative reality TV series today, and it just had to defend itself amid legal trouble. Moreover, the network (whose CEO is Lemuel Plummer) has Chrisean Rock and Blueface’s show“Cr*zy In Love” and the multiple iterations of “Baddies.” Rock in particular is reportedly at the center of second-degree assault charges from “Baddies East” cast member Woah Vicky. However, Plummer maintained on social media that, if anything happened between the two, it wasn’t a part of the show. With this clarification in mind, many fans now have sides to pick and will want more information to confirm this.
“Chrisean Rock has NOT gotten into a physical altercation with ANYONE on set during the filming of Baddies East,” Lemuel Plummer wrote on his Instagram Story. “Anyone claiming otherwise is ALL [cap emoji].” Unfortunately, this doesn’t really illuminate what really went down between Chrisean Rock and Woah Vicky. With more time, surely more evidence, claims, or legal proceedings will show how impactful this case will be. For now, all fans can do is imagine what could have prompted this alleged brawl and how much of it is for clicks.
Lemuel Plummer Defends Chrisean Rock Amid Assault Allegations
Of course, all this publicity and drama is only helping the network, for better or worse. Through Blueface and Chrisean Rock’s reality show alone, there’s been a lot of content to share and report on in relation to that gossip cycle and spectacle. For example, a recent episode showed the California rapper popping off about Rock’s alleged infidelity, which is comically ironic considering how that relationship is these days. Only Lord knows (or Lemuel Plummer, in this case) what other spicy interactions and viral moments could net the program some more engagement.
Meanwhile, fights and feuds are exactly what propels series like “Baddies” to sensational heights, so many people are excited to heat what happened in this situation. However, it’s important to consider that even they will refrain from showing fights out of respect for those involved. As such, these drama-heavy and, for some, exploitative antics aren’t always going to show up on screen. We’ll see how much of it came from the rumor mill. With that in mind, check back in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on Chrisean Rock.
Even though they’re beefing quite heavily right now, Blueface still won’t cross certain lines when it comes to Chrisean Rock. Sure, the two have had such a back and forth relationship that this goodwill might not stick around for long. Regardless, the California native is still worried about their unborn son that Chrisean carries- and doesn’t want him to come into this world in a jail cell. Moreover, he recently expressed wishes for his son’s freedom after Woah Vicky reportedly pressed charges against Rock for assault. Specifically, this refers to an alleged brawl they had on the reality TV show “Baddies.”
“Smh I told her not to go on that show,” Blueface expressed on X, formerly (but forever) known as Twitter. “Free my son.” Of course, it’s unclear whether Chrisean Rock already faced incarceration on these charges. It’s very unlikely considering the social media storm that would cause. Still, many people expressed their skepticism at these second-degree charges in particular. After all, “Baddies” isn’t known for its easygoing or low-key group interactions, although that notoriety shouldn’t go too far in the scandalous direction, either.
Despite these concerns and the reputation (and frankly, brand) associated with the show, this case may or may not go far and result in strong repercussions. More information or footage in the coming days and weeks will probably illuminate the situation more in the public eye. As of now, it seems like Blueface’s main concern is his son. However, one would think that he would be a little more involved in his life if that was the case. That’s a complicated web of drama, but things aren’t by any means going to be easy to heal moving forward. Maybe the two’s callouts and accusations will die down once they have to work together to raise a child.
Meanwhile, the 26-year-old recently expressed that he and Chrisean came together thanks to divine intervention, as wild as that sounds. While this is probably just to troll her online, it’s also not entirely untrue based on how many people are invested in their relationship. It will continue to grow in messy ways, for sure, but in that tangled firestorm, they also found plenty of moments to support each other and let bygones be bygones for the sake of their lives. On that note, come back to HNHH for the latest on Blueface, Chrisean Rock, and Woah Vicky’s legal action.
Christopher Michael Harty, better known as Prince or Prince Michael of “Love & Hip Hop: Miami,” just got himself into some more hot water. Moreover, reports recently surfaced of his arrest in Miami recently, allegedly for burglary with battery or assault, and no further details have emerged about it. While we don’t know the circumstances behind it, many people in the comments of coverage of this development remarked that he’s been in jail a lot as of late. Hopefully things pick up for him in the future, but it’s nonetheless worrisome alleged behavior. Surely within the next few days, authorities and the Florida native himself might reveal more information about the case.
Furthermore, this further concerned fans thanks to previous legal trouble that the reality TV star got himself into. For example, back in August of 2021, authorities arrested Prince for allegedly kidnapping and assaulting his girlfriend at the time, which also involved battery charges. With this history in mind, many lament that someone with an already successful career made carried out these alleged actions. If it’s not true, then something fishy’s going on with these multiple claims.
However, there are other legal battles of the 33-year-old’s that turned out a bit better for him. The most notable one concerned his consistent attempts to score a boxing match with Tory Lanez after multiple claims of physical assault against him. In December of last year, Prince and Lanez reportedly settled their lawsuit concerning these assaults, and the boxing match never manifested itself. Apparently they were able to reach a financial agreement, and ironically the two faced larger legal trouble later on.
Meanwhile, considering his high profile, this likely won’t be the last we hear of this arrest. We’ll see whether that’s mostly due to gossip or based on more legitimate and serious charges, and either is just as likely. Also, it would be interesting to see how much this bleeds into “Love & Hip Hop: Miami” if at all, as there’s never enough drama for viewers to gorge on. With that in mind, check back in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on Prince.
Back in March, many were shocked to hear the news that Jonathan Majors has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting a woman. That woman was his girlfriend and the arrest ultimately resulted in assault and harassment charges. In the wake of the news Majors was dropped from multiple ongoing projects and even reportedly recast in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Since then Majors has begun dating Meagan Good and the pair have made a number of appearances together both in public and in court.
Fans have been hostile towards Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good ever since they began dating. As they were repeatedly spotted shopping and having dinner at various places around LA, fan backlash towards both of them grew. That became even more pronounced when Meagan Good began attending court alongside Majors during the early processes of his trial. She has continued to appear in court alongside him and was there yesterday, when the trial was set to begin. Now, according to The Shade Room that date has been pushed back. The new trial date is set for September 6th.
Unsurprisingly, fans had a lot to say about the pair following their most recent public appearance. The top comments under The Shade Room‘s post echoes long-standing sentiments. “This whole relationship is just further proof Hollywood will date anyone just to make their IMAGE look good. He’ll hop on the next yt girl after this case is over.” Another comment takes aim at Meagan Good directly. “Imagine leaving your good clean husband to go support a man you just started dating in court for allegedly domestic violence you can’t make this sh*t up.”
In the wake of Majors’s arrest allegations began to emerge from his past. Alleged behavior dating as far back as his time at Yale hit the media back in June. Majors had denied all of the allegations made against him. Last month What do you think of Meagan Good continuing to attend court alongside Jonathan Majors? Let us know in the comment section below.
The Zion Williamson and Moriah Mills drama has been one of the most bizarre and scandalous pop culture stories this year. If you’re not aware, the adult film actress accused the NBA star of cheating on his partner with her and getting her pregnant. Since then, back-and-forth denials and claims of his team threatening Mills, plus some other allegations, took over public discussion. Now, however, much more serious and damning claims came out from Mills about Williamson. In a recent tearful TikTok video, she brought forth allegations that the basketball player physically attacked her and that he was paying her off to stay quiet about it, in a seeming attempt to get his attention and apply pressure to the situation.
“You guys, I literally did not want to come to the Internet and I’m just tired of saving face for this man that’s completely disrespecting me to the world,” Moriah Mills began. “I literally have to take this. Every time I come on the Internet, people are bashing me because of this man. Literally. And I’m tired of it. He said he’s going to send me $62,000. I have yet to receive that since June. I’m literally here.
“He’s literally a liar, you guys,” she continued. “Everything he says, he’s a liar, he’s not who he says he is. I’ve literally been saving face, I did not want to come to the world and let you guys know what he has been doing to me my entire relationship with him. He is a woman beater and the NBA needs to know this. I literally did not want to come to this because I know he has so many endorsements. But Zion Williamson is a woman beater. And the reason he was paying me off is so I won’t come to the world and tell everybody.”
Furthermore, these are serious accusations that could even result in a court case. While the New Orleans Pelican hasn’t entertained these rumors, many fans sided with him and want Mills to stop her stream of posts about it. Still, this is something that the NBA will likely have to investigate now, and despite the wild nature of the situation, it shouldn’t invalidate her experiences or diminish his accountability if true. On that note, for more news and the latest updates on Zion Williamson and Moriah Mills, stick around on HNHH.
Tennessee Titans running back Hassan Haskins has reportedly been arrested in Nashville on felony aggravated assault charges. Haskins was taken into custody on June 29 after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend on June 22. Haskins was a fourth-round draft pick for the Titans in 2022 and appeared in 15 games, rushing for 93 total yards.
The June 22 assault reportedly happened after Haskins saw that his girlfriend, Makiah Green, had liked a picture from another man on Instagram. The two argued, with Haskins pinning Green to the bed and strangling her with both hands after she refused to stop throwing his shoes on the ground. After he stopped strangling her, the two reportedly slapped each other repeatedly.
Reportedly, Haskins was arrested Thursday following a second altercation with Green. After arguing at dinner, Haskins reportedly returned home without Green. Forced to Uber home, Green allegedly threw a glass at Haskins before locking herself in the bedroom. Reportedly, Haskins then broke down the bedroom door and began arguing with Green. At this point, Green reportedly tore a chain off Haskins’ neck. After he reportedly broke her phone, Green took Haskins’ phone and claimed to see Snapchat messages from “naked women”, prompting her to allegedly break Haskins’ phone.
Furthermore, Haskins has alleged that Green choked him from behind with a broom before throwing his Playstation 5 through the wall. Both were arrested and have since made bond. Green was charged with aggravated assault and felony vandalism. Haskins was held on a $10,000 bond while Green was held on $7500. The Titans running back will appear in court on July 10 in Jefferson County. Additionally, the Titans said that they are “aware of the situation and gathering additional information.” This is a developing story and we’ll have any updates here at HotNewHipHop.
The American R&B singer, Trey Songz, has been the subject of a slew of sexual assault allegations spanning over a decade. The first of many reported physical assaults occurred in 2012 when Songz allegedly struck a woman at a strip club. These incidents have led to a number of out-of-court settlements, numerous charges, and raised eyebrows on the singer’s conduct.
In 2016, Songz pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor counts for assaulting a police sergeant and injuring a cameraman with a thrown microphone. The resultant 18-month probation period and required anger-management classes evidently did little to deter future allegations of violent behavior. Further incidents against the rapper would lead to arrests in 2021.
In 2017, actress Keke Palmer accused Songz of using sexual intimidation to force her into appearing in a music video. This was a claim that Songz denied. Speaking to People in 2023, Palmer explained how moments in her visual album Big Boss related to her experience of sexual assault in the music industry. These would include her alleged altercation with Trey Songz. “Those scenes are real. Those scenes are not actually inspired by that moment,” she said. “Obviously, people know that moment and are aware of that scenario from when it happened and when I spoke about it.
“But that just goes to show, that was one of many moments where things go down in this industry. Not always did I say something, but I said something in that particular situation because my likeness was being used. And I’m just a business person in that regard. But as far as being in an uncomfortable situation as a woman, where I’m either being sexually harassed, intimidated or just being made uncomfortable in a space that’s dominated mostly by men, those are very real people, and that’s a very real, accurate situation. And there are countless others.”
Andrea Buera And Jahuara Jeffries
In 2018, Andrea Buera alleged that Songz had choked her at his Los Angeles home, but the case was dropped after Songz’s legal team presented information that contradicted Buera’s account. That same year, Jahuara Jeffries accused Songz of attempting to sexually violate her at a Miami nightclub, per The Daily Beast. The lawsuit, originally settled for $10 million, was later dismissed. The lawsuit would later be refiled, with Jeffries then seeking $20 million in damages.
Ariel Mitchell, the attorney for Jeffries told The Daily Beast in 2021: “She doesn’t want to hide behind the Jane Doe, she doesn’t want to be ashamed of what happened to her.”
The site also reported that “Jeffries claims she met Songz at a New Year’s Eve party held at Diddy’s Miami mansion before they continued the night at E11EVEN. Jeffries, who was wearing a dress with a high slit, claims that she felt ‘fingers being inserted into her vagina.’ When she turned around, she allegedly saw an intoxicated Songz ‘pulling his hand away from her bottom.’”
Trey Songz: High-Profile Accusations And Public Response
The allegations against Songz did not gain significant public attention until 2020. Instagram model Celina Powell and her friend Aliza made claims in a 2020 podcast interview that drew significant mainstream attention. Both women accused Songz of abusive behavior. Powell alleged that Songz coerced her into unwanted activities, and Aliza stated that Songz urinated on her without her consent.
In 2021, an investigation was launched by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department into Songz over alleged sexual assault at a hotel. According to NBC News, the investigation was dropped the following year. However, it has since been stated that it could be reopened with new evidence.
Dylan Gonzalez
WNBA player Dylan Gonzalez tweeted in December 2021 in a since-deleted message, labeling Songz as a rapist. She later revealed on Instagram that she suffers from “unbearable PTSD.” This was due to an alleged rape by Songz in a Las Vegas hotel. Gonzalez would encourage other alleged victims to speak out.
In February 2022, an anonymous woman filed a lawsuit accusing Songz of raping her. This alleged incident took place at a house party in Los Angeles back in 2016. The lawsuit was dismissed due to the statute of limitations expiring.
In April 2022, Megan Johnson came forward with allegations that Songz sexually assaulted her. This allegedly occurred at a party in Connecticut in 2013, TMZ reports. Johnson’s attorneys, who also represent several other accusers of Songz, have sent a demand letter on her behalf. The Connecticut State’s Attorney’s Office opened an investigation into Johnson’s allegations in June 2022.
A Pattern of Denial
Throughout these allegations, Songz and his representatives have consistently denied all charges. Songz and his team would often suggest that the victims are attempting to extort him for fame and money. The allegations seemingly continue to mount. This raises most potentially serious questions about the singer’s behavior. Beyond that, it raises questions about the systemic issues that allow such alleged abuses to potentially occur.
Jonathan Majors has filed a domestic violence complaint against the alleged victim in his ongoing assault and harassment case. His ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, previously alleged that he broke her finger, twisted her arm, and struck her in the ear, causing it to bleed. He instead argues that she attacked him during the dispute in New York that led to his March 25 arrest.
In a filing obtained by Insider, Majors claims that Jabbari was “drunk and h*sterical” and had scratched, slapped, and grabbed at his face causing him to bleed. Majors also alleged his accuser has attacked him on prior occasions that he didn’t previously report, including a “verbal dispute in London that became physical.”
Further, Majors answered “yes” in response to the following questions when asked by police: “Is suspect capable of killing you or children?”; “Is suspect violently and constantly jealous of you?”; and “Has the physical violence increased in frequency or severity over the past 6 months?”
Majors has consistently proclaimed his own innocence in the domestic dispute. He says that he wasn’t responsible for the injuries that landed his ex in the hospital after the incident. “From the beginning, we have said Jonathan Majors is innocent and provably the victim here,” Majors’ attorney Priya Chaudhry said in a statement shared with Entertainment Weekly. “Last week, for the first time, Mr. Majors met with the NYPD to present them with evidence of what really happened on that night.”
Majors starred in Creed III as well as multiple films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as different iterations of Kang the Conqueror prior to his arrest. He’s also known for roles in The Harder They Fall and The Last Black Man in San Francisco, among others. Majors has a trial date set for August 3rd in regard to the misdemeanor assault case. Be on the lookout for further updates in the months leading up to the court date.
Casanova is reportedly in serious danger according to his lawyer, James Kousouros. The news comes after Casanova was attacked at the Essex County Jail on June 14. Kousouros says his client was jumped after explicitly renouncing his association with the Untouchable Gorilla Stone gang.
Casanova was apparently in the common area of the jail doing pushups when another inmate stabbed him in retaliation for abandoning his gang affiliation. “His public renunciation of the gang has and will continue to pose a threat to his life which will make his future incarceration far more onerous than contemplated by our judicial system,” James Kousouros said, according to AllHipHop.
Kousouros also cited the testimony of a former associate of Tekashi 6ix9ine to make his argument. He noted that Roland “Ro Murda” Martin was also stabbed multiple times for abandoning the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods. In that case, Judge Englemayer admitted that Martin deserved a lesser sentence. He explained his sentence was “far worse than for any ordinary inmate, more painful, more alarming and more scary.”
“[Casanova] began his distancing from the gang years ago, as we have detailed in our initial submission, as he publicly advocated against gang membership relating in detail the destruction of the gang life from his own personal experiences,” Kousouros further explained.
Casanova has been behind bars since December 2020. He was named among 18 alleged members of the Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation Gang charged in connection with various racketeering, murder, narcotics, firearms, and fraud offenses. Acting U.S. Attorney Audrey Strauss said at the time: “As alleged in the Indictment, members of Gorilla Stone committed terrible acts of violence, trafficked in narcotics, and even engaged in brazen fraud by exploiting benefits programs meant to provide assistance in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.” Casanova’s sentencing is scheduled for June 27. Be on the lookout for more information on his case at that time.
Sukihana’s accepted YK Osiris’s apology after he forced himself on her in a viral clip earlier this week. After deactivating her social media accounts, the “Eating” rapper issued a statement on Friday morning (June 16) where she explained why she chose to “give grace” to the “Worth It” singer. She explained that Osiris reached out to her publicly and privately after the incident to apologize for his actions, although she insisted she was not excusing his actions. “God always forgives me and I can always forgive others,” she began.
She continued, “My accepting his apology is not my excusing or lessening the severity of his actions. This is Destiny choosing to give grace to Osiris.” Suki explained that YK’s young and she hopes that this becomes a learning experience to “be mindful and respect the personal boundaries of others.” Sukihana added, “I am human, a woman, a mother, and a daughter before I am an entertainer. No matter what my lyrics express, I still have boundaries and a right to have them.”
In the caption, Sukihana added, “I am a pro black woman and I am not into tearing black men down. This is something I am choosing to forgive him for. I love him and accept his apology. I would like to move on from this.” Her comments came shortly after her mother called out YK Osiris for his apology, which she didn’t believe was actually genuine. “Fake a** apology.. When I catch you it’s still up,” she wrote on Instagram.
Earlier this week, YK Osiris was caught on camera forcibly trying to kiss Sukihana at The Crew League. After a flood of negative responses, YK Osiris issued a public apology on Instagram. “I want to publicly offer my sincerest apology to Sukihana. In an attempt to be playful, I misread the moment and violated Sukihana’s boundaries. I understand the importance of consent and I am embarrassed by my behavior,” he wrote. “I take full responsibility and have made multiple attempts to apologize.” Check out Sukihana’s message above and sound off with your thoughts in the comments.
