Last night, Nelly and Ashanti were caught linking up at the Gervontas Davis-Ryan Garcia fight in Las Vegas. Nelly and Ashanti were once a music power couple but split in 2014. However, a series of recent events have sparked rumors that the two might be getting back together.

The link-up has arguably become more talked about than the fight itself. Fans are now speculating whether this is just an innocent outing, or something more. Now Bow Wow has gotten in on the action, dishing out some advice to Nelly. And safe to say, Bow Wow isn’t being subtle about what he wants to see happen next.

Bow Wow Tells Nelly “Marry This Woman”

In responding to The Shade Room’s original post about the link-up, Bow Wow had some very clear advice for Nelly. “Yo mo! I know we not seeing eye to eye either really but from lil bro to big bro STOP PLAYING AND MARRY THIS WOMAN BRO! You like 50 sit yo old ass down this your queen.” It’s an abundantly clear message from the 36-year-old rapper, who recently revealed Nelly’s role in quashing some beef. However, he might not be the voice Nelly wants to hear from right now if they two are “not seeing eye to eye” at the moment.

But will Nelly heed his advice? Neither he nor Ashanti has publicly confirmed that they are even in a relationship. It’s a wild leap to go from a boxing match link-up to marriage. However, it is important to remember that Nelly and Ashanti have a long romantic history. They were originally together for over a decade. Furthermore, when asked about the rumors, this was Ashanti’s response. “I saw a lot of comments. I mean, my reaction was, ‘wow!’ It was a lot of comments and people wanting that. Nelly and Ashanti were once a musical power couple. They first met in 2003 during a press conference for the Grammys and quickly entered into a relationship. The couple stayed together for 11 years before breaking up in 2014. Nelly then entered into a long-term relationship with Shantel Jackson while Ashanti was linked to the likes of Ja Rule and Flo Rida. While not often seen together, Nelly and Ashanti appeared to stay on good terms.

However, the end of 2022 brought with it rumors that Nelly and Ashanti were reuniting. First, there was an intimate dance the two shared at the December 5 “Under the Mistletoe” concert. A week later, Ashanti openly spoke about the rumors they were getting back together and said she would collab with Nelly again. Most recently, Ashanti was caught sporting Nelly’s chain in February, further fuelling the rumors.

On April 22, a veritable who’s who of star power descended on Las Vegas for the highly-anticipated boxing match between Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia. As opposed to the all-out knockout brawl promised by the fighters, fans were treated to a paced and calculated fight. Davis eventually prevailed, delivering a crippling body blow knockout in the seventh round. However, keen-eyed gossip sleuths weren’t paying attention to the fight. How could they, given the wealth of famous faces in the audience? Despite the plethora of celebrities, one group of attendees, in particular, has got the internet buzzing.

Nelly and Ashanti were spotted attending the fight together, with seats a few rows back from the ring. While the footage is brief, Nelly and Ashanti can clearly be seen amongst their sprawling entourage. So what does this mean? Thankfully, a new generation of 40-something celebrities has been markedly proving that getting older doesn’t have to be scary. In fact, it can actually be sexy. Starlets (and mothers) like Kim Kardashian and Nicki Minaj consistently put their curvaceous bodies on display online. On Monday (March 13), Ashanti joined them with some saucy snaps of her own.

The R&B darling’s Instagram photo dump starts off relatively innocent. She stands chest-deep in a beautiful pool, an extravagant tray of colourful food sitting in front of her. “Floating breakfast in Abu Dhabi,” Ashanti wrote in the caption, tagging her location specifically as Saadiyat Island. It appears that she indulged in tropical fruits, a smoothie, and plenty of other yummy treats while hiding from the sun in an oversized hat.

In the next photo, the 42-year-old shows off her entire orange bikini (and her toned but curvy body). She wore her swimsuit under a floor-length coverup in the same colour. The third and final image is taken from the edge of the pool, where much of the breakfast remains in the wicker tray, waiting to be eaten. Off in the distance, Ashanti relaxes on a chair, fruity drink in hand.

While she’s enjoying Abu Dhabi alone in her post, the New Yorker obviously had company who captured the perfect snapshots for her. Many fans are praising her lavish lifestyle in the comments, writing things like, “Ashanti is overall lifestyle goals! Ashanti Shows Love To Ja Rule On His 47th Birthday

Longtime friends Ashanti and Ja Rule have been in the game with one another ever since she signed to Murder Inc. more than 20 years ago. The two have taken stages worldwide over the years as they perform collaborative singles like “Always On Time,” “What’s Luv?,” and “Mesmerize.” They’re even set to headline the upcoming “I Love RNB” Festival this May out in Long Beach, Ca. Their sibling-like relationship is ever-apparent in Ashanti’s latest tribute to Ja, who celebrates his 47th birthday today.

The “Falling For You” singer uploaded photos of them performing side by side in the celebratory post. Ashanti also shared a video montage of them on stage together over the years, posting it on her Instagram Story. Ja Rule, born Feb. 29, responded to his play-sister’s posts with several heart emojis. Artists Fat Joe and Ginuwine also shouted out the Queens emcee in Ashanti’s comments.

Moreover, social media speculated on the couple reuniting after fans noticed both of them wearing a similar chain. Furthermore, a fan page of the couple posted a picture of Ashanti wearing a thick, shiny, and silver Cuban link chain. In fact, it looks eerily similar to one that the “Hot In Here” rapper often wears. As such, many warned the singer and actress of straying back into the relationship after he apparently “betrayed” him based on her testimony.

Still, it’s not like the two completely stayed out of each other’s lives, and recent run-ins fueled reunion rumors before this was even a factor. For example, they were recently spotted clubbing after their Nashville concert in early February this year.
