50 Cent and Eminem’s close friendship is well-documented up until this point. Both have co-signed each other, featured on each other’s songs, and performed live in front of millions of people. The New York legend wanted to send his love and appreciation to his brother. He wanted to do this by posting to his Instagram and he dug into the vault for some of these photos. Others are a little more recent, with the last one featuring the two of them and Dr. Dre. It is a picture of them celebrating 50 getting his Hollywood Star for the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

A few of them look to be from live performances, most likely from 50’s Final Lap tour. Lastly, there are a few more from the early 2000s right around the time Cent was blowing up. It is a nice collage of images and it really shows how long this camaraderie has lasted up until this point.

Beyonce Is The Ultimate “Diva”: Celebrate Singer’s 42nd Birthday With A Feel-Good Throwback

Before she was known as the almighty Queen B, leader of the BeyHive, Beyonce Giselle Knowles-Carter was a little girl with big dreams. Her father, Matthew Knowles, worked hard to prepare the young vocalist for the spotlight, even ordering her to run through the Houston heat in heels. Though obviously gruelling, the extreme tactics obviously paid off as Bey has been running flawlessly all through her RENAISSANCE World Tour so far.

She’s preparing for her third and final performance in Los Angeles today (September 4), which coincidentally also happens to be the multi-talent’s 42nd birthday. Her friends and fans have been sharing plenty of heartfelt tributes on social media, and others are replaying old favourites from Beyonce’s discography to celebrate. We’ve decided to revisit her 2008 female empowerment anthem, “Diva” for our part, which appeared on her I Am… Sasha Fierce LP a decade and a half ago.

Beyonce is the Female Version of a Hustler on Her Hit Song, “Diva”

“Since 15 in my stilettos, been struttin’ in this game / ‘What’s yo age?’ was the question they ask when I hit the stage,” the mother of three sings midway through the popular track. “I’m a diva, best believe her, you see how she gettin’ paid? / She ain’t callin’ him to greet her, don’t need him, her bed’s made.”

Revisit the iconic visual for Beyonce’s “Diva” above, and if it’s not already there, be sure to add it to your playlist on Spotify/Apple Music. Besides being the mother of three’s birthday, today also happens to be the anniversary of Travis Scott’s Rodeo album. See which song from that we’re spotlighting at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Michael Jackson’s “The Way You Make Me Feel” Remains A Classic On His Heavenly 64th Birthday: Stream

Virgo season has only just begun, but already, we’re celebrating the legacy of one of music’s most profound creatives on what would’ve been his 64th birthday. Today (August 29) marks another trip around the Sun for the spirit of Michael Jackson, and to commemorate, we’re revisiting one of the King of Pop’s biggest feel-good hits – “The Way You Make Me Feel.”

Unsurprisingly, the groovy track previously reached No. 1 on the charts in America. Like many other titles included on the Bad album, it finds Jackson feeling confident in himself, though he’s obviously more vulnerable than usual as he professes deep feelings for his lover. “Hey, pretty baby with the high heels on / You give me fever like I’ve never, ever known,” his voice beautifully croons on the first verse. “You’re just a product of loveliness / I like the groove of your walk, your talk, your dress.”

Other memorable songs from Bad include “Man in the Mirror,” “Smooth Criminal,” and “Dirty Diana,” those only begin to cover some of Jackson’s best work throughout his long-spanning career. He’s in great company as far as Virgo entertainers go, with Beyonce, Keke Palmer, Zendaya, Jennifer Hudson, Shania Twain, and Adam Sandler all among those who celebrate under the notorious perfectionist sign.

Revisit Michael Jackson’s classic “The Way You Make Me Feel” visual above, or add the song to your playlist on Spotify/Apple Music. If you’re in the mood for more throwback hits, we suggest Beyonce’s “Love On Top,” which the mother of three performed while sharing some extra special news with the world this week in 2011. Biggie Smalls’ Birthday: Stream “Get Money” Feat. Junior M.A.F.I.A. In Honour Of His Heavenly 51st

It’s been over 26 years since The Notorious B.I.G. – born Christopher Wallace – tragically lost his life in a 1997 Los Angeles shooting. He left behind two children and countless fans who all do their part to ensure his legacy still lives on today. While not everyone remembers the lyricist fondly, his songs have been known to transcend generations, some of them even going viral on platforms like TikTok. One such title is obviously “Get Money” with Junior M.A.F.I.A., which we’re streaming in celebration of what would’ve been Biggie Smalls’ 51st birthday today (May 21).

The catchy track chiefly finds the Brooklyn native popping off on the first verse, reflecting on a romance gone awry after his girl flipped on him. “Guess you could say you’s the one I trusted / Who would ever think that you would spread like mustard?” he cleverly rhymes. “Shit got hot: you sent Feds to my spot / Took me to court, tried to take all I got.”

It’s obviously been decades since fans have heard new music from Biggie himself, though the powers of AI have brought his voice and image back to life in various capacities. Not only did a hologram of the late legend in his home state leave the internet divided in summer 2022, but we also heard a computer-generated version of his voice covering Nas’ “N.Y. State of Mind” last month, which also left many social media users feeling some type of way about the ever-advancing features of modern technology.

Chris Brown Turns 34: Stream “Beautiful People” Feat. Benny Benassi To Celebrate His Birthday

Not only is today (May 5), New Music Friday, but it’s also Chris Brown’s birthday. All day long our site has been loaded with some of the hottest releases from artists like Russ, Desiigner, Lil Uzi Vert, and Gucci Mane. While we certainly don’t want to detract attention from those, we would be remiss not to celebrate the R&B star on his special day.

Brown has been keeping undeniably busy as of late, from giving out steamy lap dances on tour to headlining Rolling Loud Thailand during the festival’s first time in Asia. We’ve heard him on songs like “How Does It Feel” with Chlöe earlier this year, as well as “Do You Mind” alongside Vedo. His craftsmanship has arguably only gotten better over the years, but still, his discography is full of throwback favourites that are perfect for setting the party mood – particularly “Beautiful People” with Benny Benassi.

Chris Brown and Benny Benassi Made Magic on “Beautiful People”

The feel-good track arrived back in 2011 on Breezy’s F.A.M.E. album. Other collaborators include Tyga and Kevin McCall on “Deuces” (the latter also shows out on “No BS” and “Next To You” with Justin Bieber. Additionally, he recruited Wiz Khalifa, Ludacris, Eva Simons, Big Sean, Chip, and Timbaland to help him out as well. Of course, the project’s most popular little is undoubtedly “Look At Me Now,” which boasts some serious bars from Brown, Lil Wayne, and Busta Rhymes.

We obviously recommend streaming the album in its entirety if you have the time, but if not, the Benny Benassi joint effort is all you need to kick-start your Friday night the right way. Revisit Chris Brown’s “Beautiful People” visual on YouTube above, or add the throwback to your playlist on Spotify/Apple Music. What’s your favourite song from the birthday boy’s discography? Let us know in the comments, and tap back in later this weekend for more HNHH release recommendations.

Summer Walker Turns 27: Stream “Riot” In Celebration Of The R&B Darling’s Birthday

For most people, today is like any other Tuesday, but for Summer Walker, April 11 marks her 27th trip around the sun. The vocalist has accomplished plenty at such a young age, from giving birth to three children – including twins – freeing herself from toxic relationships, and releasing albums like Over It and Still Over It. To help celebrate her special day, we’ve decided to throw it back to one of her earliest releases, “Riot,” which first landed on her CLEAR EP along with three other titles.

Since its January 2019 debut, the short and sweet song has been streamed over 30 million times on Spotify alone. “You said you want love, babe / You said you can give it to me just how I, I need,” Walker’s stunning voice rings out as “Riot” begins. “And you think of roses and daisies / And I think of passion and fire like Hades,” her expressive lyrics continue. “You say all the time, peace and quiet / But for my love, I need a riot, a riot.”

Revisit Summer Walker’s “Riot” on Her Birthday

Other titles on the CLEAR EP include “Grave,” “Wasted,” and “Settling,” all of which have become beloved by fans in their own right. After over four years, Walker announced during her recent set at J. Cole’s Dreamville Festival that she’ll be coming with a follow-up to the four-track project later this spring. Called Clear 2: Soft Life, the highly anticipated release is slated for this coming May, though we don’t know how many songs, or guest features (if any) to expect.

The EP will mark the Atlanta native’s first major arrival since 2021’s Still Over It. Stream Summer Walker’s “Riot” on YouTube above, or add it to your playlist on Spotify/Apple Music. What’s your favourite throwback track by the R&B starlet? Let us know in the comments below, and check back later this week for more HNHH release recommendations.

Reggie Bush’s Wife Lilit Shares Dripping Wet Dance Video: “Happy Birthday Daddy”

Birthdays are certainly reason enough to celebrate. For those who happen to be in love, however, going all out with romantic (and sometimes sexy) presents for your partner is never a bad idea. This was advice clearly given to Lilit Avagayn before her husband, Reggie Bush, turned 38 earlier this week. In honour of her man, the dance choreographed an intimate routine to Chris Brown’s “Under The Influence,” sure to leave him tantalized.

“Happy Birthday Daddy,” she wrote in the caption of her commemorative Instagram post. “I dedicate this dance to you, my love. Sometimes mommy dances,” the brunette beauty added. The post was later edited to address the hate comments that have been pouring in. Due to the intimate nature of her routine, and the water pouring down making it all the more inappropriate, many viewers were left uncomfortable by Avagayn’s antics.

“There are some things you just gotta keep between you and your husband,” one person wrote. “Why do we have to see you dedicating your body to him?” Clapping back at comments like this, Bush’s wife wrote, “I’m a dancer! I wanted to do a dance and post it on MY social media and dedicate the dance to my husband. How can anyone be mad at that? Just enjoy the performance.”

Thankfully, not all the replies to Avagayn’s birthday tribute were negative. “That is awesome that you know how to keep the spark going in your marriage and that you still find ways to let him know he is the one,” one person praised the 35-year-old. “I am surprised at some responses when this looks like the choreography from many dance videos we see on social media. Also when singers do this in their videos it is art.”

As TMZ notes, Reggie Bush and Lilit Avagayn tied the knot nearly a decade ago, in 2014. They share three young children together, Agyemang, Briseis, and Uriah, all pictured with their parents above. Ja Rule’s 47th Birthday: Stream “Always On Time” Feat. Ashanti To Celebrate

For the countless babies born on a leap year, February 28th marks the time to celebrate their birthdays most of the time. Among those turning up to mark another trip around the Sun today is Ja Rule, who turns 47. On his Instagram Story, the Fyre Festival co-founder has been reposting thoughtful messages from friends on his Instagram Story. Conversely, his fans have been at home, streaming some of his biggest hits to commemorate along with him.

For our part, we’re highlighting Ja’s early 2000s collaboration with Ashanti, “Always On Time.” To this day the joint is often found in the best throwback R&B playlists, and can still be heard blasting at parties and clubs on top volume as music lovers bump and grind. What more could you need to get into a celebratory mood in honour of the birthday boy?

Revisit Ja Rule and Ashanti’s “Always On Time” Visual

Listeners have always praised the effortless connection between Ja and Ashanti, but as it turns out, she almost didn’t earn the female part in the song. While speaking with the New York Post last year, the R&B starlet revealed that it was first sent to Brandy, who actually turned the opportunity down. “She ended up not doing it, and Ashanti came in and alley-ooped!” the “Foolish” singer dished.

The salacious song went on to become one of the most-streamed in each artist’s catalogue. Other major releases for Ja include “Mesmerize,” “Livin’ It Up,” “Wonderful,” and “Put It On Me.” His most recent release, “Blow, came back in 2021 featuring Somong. Now that he’s beginning a new chapter of his life, it’s entirely possible we could see the lyricist head back to the studio soon.

Stream Ja Rule and Ashanti’s “Always On Time” on Spotify or Apple Music below. Afterward, tell us your favourite track from the man of the hour in the comments. Make sure to check back later for more release recommendations and music news updates.

Quotable Lyrics:

Diddy Wishes His “Shawty Wop” Yung Miami A Happy Birthday While She Poses In A Bikini On The Beach

On February 11th, Yung Miami celebrated her 29th trip around the Sun. The “Twerkulator” artist is an expert at turning up. We’ve previously seen this throughout her career, and this year, her birthday celebrations have been non-stop. After partying with her friends, it now looks as though the mother of two is in baecation mode, soaking up the sun in the tropics with a certain friend.

Over the weekend, the City Girl shared an Instagram photo dump that finds her posing alongside a private jet in an emerald green two-piece set. After a few more fit pics, fans see a preview of the aircraft’s inside. It’s glamorously decorated with roses, balloons, a cake, and various other sweets. Miami also let the world know whose plane it is that she’s taking – in case they weren’t already aware – by flexing the Combs Air mat sitting beneath the plane’s stairs.

Caresha’s caption was nothing more than a row of birthday cake emojis. Still, in the comment section, her friends have had plenty to say. “Caresha! You love that man. You ain’t let us come and you got braids!” her partner in rhyme, JT, wrote. Elsewhere, Saweetie, Savannah James, Princess Love, Cuban Link, and more wished the rap diva a happy birthday.

It wouldn’t be a baecation without plenty of photos, and Miami has absolutely been delivering. The day after flaunting Diddy’s private jet and the goods he spoils her with on the ‘gram, she returned with some beautiful beach pictures and videos that see her sitting in the sand by the crystal blue water. Clearly in full party mode, the podcast host carries a mimosa in her hand as she casually strolls into the tropical ocean.

In the comment section of that post, the multi-talent made sure to send his “Shawty Wop” birthday greetings. Additionally, JT had more love to show her collaborator. India Royale and Trina were sure to shower the Florida native with plenty of attention too.

Miami is obviously going all out for her birthday celebrations this year. Prior to her baecation with Combs, she threw a star-studded party earlier this month. Chrisean Rock was notably in attendance, as were various other well-known figures from the music industry.

Aside from the impressive guest list, fans also can’t stop talking about the massive diamond ring on her finger. Of course, she’s made it well known that she’s single, but clearly still loves to be spoiled on Diddy’s dime. Check out Caresha’s flashy new jewelry here, and tune in later for more pop culture news updates.
