There are not many better rappers than Armani White right now. Especially in terms of technical ability. His command of the microphone, his breath control, and the way he can rap fast while sounding coherent are just some of the skills he possesses. On top of that, you know Armani is going to be an energizer bunny on pretty much every track. He put all of this on full display on his second project, Road to CASABLANCO. Since the release of that back in February of this year, the Philadelphia native has continued to build on his style.
In the past month or so, Armani has put out two fun singles. At the beginning of October, he put on a lyrical masterclass on a YouTube exclusive freestyle, “REDEYE TO PHILLY.” Toward the end of the month, he linked with producer TroyBoi for “Shut S*** Down.” Both fit each other’s colorful and idiosyncratic styles to a tee. Now, he is back with a new solo single he has been teasing for a little bit now.
About a month ago, Armani began to drop hints about “BREATHE.” One of the videos, which is pinned at the top of his page, shows him getting lit in the studio with his friends as he played some of the track. Just about a day ago, he gave his fans an update about what has been going on with him lately. “Thanks to everyone reaching out. I been taking this time off to literally breathe. Recalibrate and recenter myself on what’s important to me. Getting away from just enjoying making the music and actually expressing myself again. Really excited for what’s to come. Until then, y’all loved this freestyle so much I made it a song. Let’s have fun one more time before the year ends ” We certainly love it, now it is your turn to check it out.

TroyBoi has been one of the best producers over the past decade or so. He is not your traditional hip-hop beatmaker though. If you have kept up with his career, Troy’s production style is more bouncy and includes lots of plucky and almost “cute” instrumentation as well. He is also famous for his knack for creating fun remixes to artist’s tracks. The UK native has worked alongside some big names throughout his tenure and he now adds a budding star to the list. He grabs Armani White for his lead single, “Shut S*** Down.”
This track will appear on an upcoming EP in December. It may be the title track seeing as the tour he is going on has the same name. That kicks off on November and will wrap up on December 16. In an article from PressParty, Troy recalls how he connected with the Philly rapper several years ago. “I was first introduced to Armani back in 2015 when I heard a remix he did of my track ‘Do You?.’ I was so impressed with his flow and delivery. We connected soon after that and became a fan of his work ever since.
Listen To “Shut S*** Down” From Armani White And TroyBoi
He then details how this track came to be. Troy says, “When I made the beat for ‘Shut S*** Down’ I knew it needed someone on it with a charismatic energy and a crazy flow. I sent Armani the track, he loved it and absolutely delivered like I knew he would.” The producer is certainly right on point with that claim. This track has so much energy and attention to detail. Give it a listen above.
What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new single from TroyBoi and Armani White, “Shut S*** Down?” Are you hyped for a new project from the producer? Philly has some incredible and colorful rap acts currently. It is certainly an underrated birthplace of big-time names. With Meek Mill, Lil Uzi Vert, Black Thought, and Tierra Whack, the pool is vast. Now, listeners need to add Armani White to that long list.
Armani got his big break with the release of his viral social media hit “BILLIE EILISH.” Of course, it is a reference to pop megastar, Billie Eilish. However, while it might have seemed like a one-hit-wonder situation, White is proving otherwise. The multi-talent put out a terrific and fun tight project, Road to CASABLANCO., earlier this year right around summer time. The listen includes the super smash single, on top of some other entertaining cuts, “GOATED.” with Denzel Curry and more.
Listen To “REDEYE TO PHILLY. (Freestyle)” From Armani White
Besides White’s fun approach to his music, he can rap and sing as well. “GOATED.” was one example of that, but this YouTube and Soundcloud exclusive further cements that take. He released a fire freestyle called “REDEYE TO PHILLY.” and it shows off his rapping abilities to full effect. The flows and cadence switch up multiple times throughout. Additionally, there is a singing bit at the end as well to tie things up. Continue to keep your eye on Armani White, he is going to be a force.
What are your initial thoughts on this brand new track, “REDEYE TO PHILLY. (Freestyle),” from Armani White? Is he one of the best new rappers out right now? It was only a matter of time before one of the most in-demand artists in the world, Billie Eilish, and Armani White combined their colorful personalities on stage. Well, that is what went down at the Osheaga Fest in Montreal. If you do not know, Armani White has blossomed into a growing rap star in the underground scene. Now, he is starting to gain mainstream appeal, performing his hit “BILLIE EILISH.” with her. In addition, Eilish advocated for White so much, that he was signed to her label, Def Jam Recordings.
The shoe designer and fashion boundary pusher brought out Armani White and the fans went absolutely nuts. Billie introduced the dynamic rapper by giggling through her words saying, “You know that song that’s like big glock tucked big, big t-shirt, Billie Eilish?” The response from the crowd was pure insanity. After the beginning of the beat, White comes out to perform the song that put him on the map. Billie hypes him up throughout his rapping and it is a great moment to see for two genres in music teaming up in the spotlight.
The Philadelphia-born rapper could not contain his excitement on Twitter. He posted the tweet above saying, “BILLIE EILISH JUST BROUGHT ME OUT!!! Ohmyf*****god.” Armani has certainly earned this moment and it is cool to see him blow up like this. His latest project, Road to CASABLANCO., has some fun production and is a unique listening experience. He scores features from A$AP Ferg, Denzel Curry, and others.

Last summer, Armani White blew up on TikTok and beyond thanks to “Billie Eilish” and the distinct line, “B*tch, I’m stylish / Glock tucked, big t-shirt, Billie Eilish.” Eilish herself seemed on board with the song, as she has shared videos featuring it on social media. Now, she’s taken her co-sign to the next level: At the Osheaga festival this weekend, Eilish brought White out on stage during her set.
Addressing her audience, she said, “You know that song that’s like [laughs], ‘Glock tucked, big t-shirt, Billie Eilish?’ You know that song?” The track’s instrumental started playing to much cheering, then White came out and performed some of the song as Eilish danced along. The two then put a cap on the fun moment with a big hug.
White previously spoke about his Eilish-like aspirations, saying in an interview with Genius, “I think Billie, what she is in her world, is what I aspire to be in my world, is just kind of like an anomaly… if it’s me for hip-hop, if it’s her for pop, or whatever it is, just to be in this world, but completely stand out from everybody else.”

If you have been paying attention, Armani White has made an incredible emergence from his world-renowned debut. Armani has released a highly anticipated ep Road to CASABLANCO. This project is his first since the release of his popular single “BILLIE ElLISH.” This single gave him his first Billboard chart entry debuting at number 99. He has also received a gold certification for this song from the Recording Industry Association Of America. Additionally, the song became a TikTok sensation last year. With the success of this single, fans longed for a body of work from the Philadelphia lyricist.
The EP Road to CASABLANCO. Its name is the perfect play from his social media handle “Armaniblanco” which also means white in Spanish. This EP is only his second major released project but his first under Def Jam Records. Additionally, this is his debut ep. Its colorful cover art adds only a splash to his elevated volume style of rap.
Armani White’s Debut EP Includes a Star-Studded Lineup Of Features
Moreover, Road to Casablanco. is perfectly placed at 9 songs making it a much fuller-length EP. Last month, he released the second single from the project called “SILVER TOOTH.” featuring A$AP Ferg. This single received great reviews as he sampled Bow Wow’s 2001 single “Take Ya Home” produced by The Neptunes. This project is packed with notable features such as Denzel Curry, Fivio Foreign, Ludacris, Busta Rhymes, Fridayy, and N.O.I.R.E. The feature from N.O.R.E symbolizes the ultimate salute as Armani’s “BILLIE EILISH.” sample’s N.O.R.E’s “What You Trying To Do” released in 2002. This project combines Armani’s faith, family, and artistry. The opening song “PROUD OF YOU.” is a voicemail from his grandmother telling him she’s proud of him. Each song is capitalized and ends in a period following the lead of the project’s lead single.
This project alone showcases Armani’s lyrical strength. His punchline style delivery is the ultimate ode to the origins of Hip Hop. As a newcomer, Armani’s cosigns as well as virality make him an artist to keep your eye on.
Armani White shot straight to stardom with his massive TikTok hit “Billie Eilish.” Since the release of that viral track, he’s collaborated with Denzel Curry for the song “Goated,” as well as performed it on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. It looks like the rapper is keeping up the momentum.
On Wednesday, April 26, White took to Twitter to share a teaser clip for his forthcoming EP. “ROAD TO CASABLANCO,” he wrote, “MAY 5th.” In a silly video, he writes in a journal while his internal monologue plays aloud. “Lil Mani finally bought a crib,” he says as it begins. The video ends with him saying, “Welcome to Casablanco.” The first single is “Silver Tooth,” which was released on Friday, April 21.
In Uproxx‘s 2022 interview with White, he talked about his unexpected rise to fame. “It’s cool because I’m one of the last shining stars from the Batcave era. Back then, I was just the weird kid,” he said. “Everybody was making songs about shooting each other, and I was making boom bap. It built a lot of character because I had to be the one person to champion my songs when I was in a building where everybody was like, ‘Alright, that’s kinda weird.’”
Road To Casablanco is out 5/5. Find more information here.
Def Jam’s Armani White already won us over with “GOATED.” earlier this year, but now, the lyricist has more heat for your consideration. This New Music Friday (April 21), he and A$AP Ferg came together on “SILVER TOOTH.”, which samples Bow Wow’s 2011 track, “Take Ya Home” (produced by The Neptunes), as previously teased on social media. The new single was put together by July Da Producer, and will certainly be in rotation for many throughout the coming months.
“Ayy, used to have a silver tooth when I was just a pup, yeah / Now I got some killers who got shotties with the pumps,” the 26-year-old rhymes on the infectious chorus. For his part, Ferg comes in later with bars like “Walk around like I’m Nigo with the diamonds in the clock / Moonwalkin’ on these hoes, I got diamonds in my socks,” and “Might be funny like I’m Biggie but I’m ridin’ like I’m ‘Pac / I’m the king of your city, give a f*ck about your block.”
A$AP Ferg Joins Armani White for “SILVER TOOTH.”
While teasing “SILVER TOOTH” online ahead of its debut, Armani hinted that he’s got “another one” on the way in the near future, much to fan’s pleasure. Prior to today’s single, other recent efforts from the rising star include an appearance on JELEEL!’s “GNARLY!” and an updated version of “GOATED.,” this one featuring Denzel Curry. His last project, 2021’s Things We Lost In The Fire EP made a strong impression on listeners, who have been begging him to unleash an album soon.
