Playboi Carti Finally Announces New Music This Friday… And Absolutely No One Is Fooled

Playboi Carti graces fans with not one, but two festival performances this weekend, which is basically like getting a whole rollout from him. He closed out the second day of Tyler, The Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw carnival and festival on Sunday (November 17), and the day before, he performed at Complex Con in Las Vegas. As such, a lot of people found plenty of news to talk about from the Atlanta creative, whether the new music he teased during these shows, his special guests during the performances, or some alleged scuffles with fans in their aftermath. And it looks like he knows all this hype as well, because he felt comfortable enough to lie to our faces again.

Moreover, Playboi Carti announced that he will be dropping new music on Friday via his alternate Instagram account, posting a text message exchange with a mystery individual. Of course, everyone is highly skeptical of this, given just how much he teased his new album, release dates, next moves, and much more only to never follow up on these promises. So we won’t believe this until we see it. Not even Carti’s contribution to “Thought I Was Dead” fully manifested all the way…

Jokes aside, we obviously still can’t wait for whatever Playboi Carti does next, whether that’s a presumed new single this Friday, official drops of his previous IG-only 2024 material, or the long-awaited release of the new album. It’s been almost four full years since Whole Lotta Red, and fans are so desperate for what’s next. At least we also got some more positive news from the Opium camp these days, such as a seemingly squashed beef with LUCKI.

In any case, the “Timeless” collaborator is one of hip-hop’s leaders right now, so it’s kind of frustrating when he makes promises that he can’t keep. He might not be the one to blame for each instance of this, but he kept this up so long that fans started to lose their good faith. But Playboi Carti hasn’t broken his promise to drop this Friday, November 22… yet. So let’s see what happens!

J Cole Announces Candid New Audio Series, “Inevitable”

J Cole has announced a new “audio series” titled Inevitable that will take listeners on an “unfiltered voyage” through the iconic rapper’s career. In conversations with Ibrahim Hamad and Scott Lazer, he will reflect on both released and unreleased music while detailing his journey. Cole shared a trailer for the project on social media on Sunday night.

“I got so much clarity from it, and I understood more than ever the power of having a dream, the power of fueling that dream with strong vision, the magic that happens when we stay in alignment with God, and the darkness that can come in the times that we don’t,” Cole said of the experience in a follow-up post on X (formerly Twitter).

He also admitted he was originally hesitant to put the series out. “As the years of my career grew I found myself much more hesitant to share details of my life with the world. Even as I type this, I feel the last little bit of resistance. ‘You sure you want to do this?’ But if I was a younger version of myself, I know that I would get so much fuel from hearing this from somebody that went for theirs and ‘made it,’” he wrote. “For that reason, I think it’s worth sharing. So, if you rocked with me at any point so far on my journey, I hope this will give you even more perspective and fill in a lot of blanks. If you have your own dream in life that you hope to achieve, in any field, I hope that this will feed your spirit, giving you confidence to believe in that dream and the encouragement to push through the tough times. To go for it even when you may be afraid to.”

Most raelationships in this vein are going to receive some natural criticism from the internet because that’s just how things go. But despite all of the rumors, the two seem to be tight knit from the outside looking in. They say going through trauma helps bring people together and that couldn’t be truer here. Tragically, the 38-year-old actress and model lost a baby with the 34-year-old singer and rapper. Assuredly, there had to have been some doubt for the four plus year couple that trying for another child. But clearly, they never gave up on their goal to grow their family because Megan Fox has just made a big announcement!

According to TMZ and People, the mother of three (Brian Austin Green) is pregnant with mgk’s second baby. The reveal was made on Megan’s social media, with the aptly written caption, “Nothing is ever really lost. welcome back ” The comments were turned off for the IG post, but many of her fan have to be thrilled right now! It’s exciting news and was also done in a bold manner. In the first picture, Megan is completely nude with black paint all over her body with her hand on her baby bump. Then, on the next slide is a photo of the positive pregnancy test.

Rumors surrounding the possibility of the Transformers star expecting a child were fierce for months. Back in July, mgk put out a music video for their “Lonely Road” collaboration. In the visual, his fiancé was rocking a baby bump then and that had everyone feverishly wondering if it was real. Well, things are coming full circle now and it’s tremendous to see.

At the time of writing, mgk has not yet spoken about the bombshell. However, Megan did tag him in the unveil on Instagram. Despite the lack of posts, we are sure he’s super ecstatic and grateful for this milestone. Congratulations to mgk and Megan Fox!

Ka, Iconic Underground Rapper, Dead At 52

Ka, the iconic Brooklyn rapper known for his prolific output of underground albums, has died at the age of 52, according to a statement on his official Instagram page. The announcement describes his passing as “unexpected” and does not mention a cause of death. His family has asked for privacy as they mourn his tragic passing.

“We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Kaseem Ryan (1972-2024), the rapper and producer known as Ka, who died unexpectedly in New York City on October 12, at the age of 52,” his family wrote. “Born and raised in Brownsville, Brooklyn, Ka lived a life of service—to his city, to his community, and to his music. As a 20-year veteran of the New York City Fire Department, he put his life on the line to protect his fellow citizens. Ka rose to the rank of FDNY captain and was a first responder on September 11, 2001 during the attacks on the World Trade Center.”

The statement continues: “He leaves an extraordinary Legacy as a recording artist, including eleven remarkable self-released solo albums. Ka is survived by his wife, mother and sister. Many mention how big of an impact Ka’s music had on their lives. “Sending all the love I can send. I’m so sorry for you all. His music has done a lot for me,” one user wrote. Another added: “Long live to one of the greatest writers to grace a mic.”

The presumed tell-all multi-episode series will land onto Amazon Prime Video on Halloween. It will arrive in conjunction with her latest Hottieween celebration, which is also a fundraising event for folks of all walks of life that are in need.

Variety says that it’s going to focus on the last couple of years of the rapper’s life. Major lows and highs will be covered, and it’s directed by Nneka Onuorah, who pieced together Lizzo’s, Watch Out for the Big Grrrls. All of this was revealed back at the top of October, but now, she’s announcing it herself across her social media platforms. Kanye West Announces New Solo Album “Bully”

During his recent performance in China, Kanye West took the opportunity to announce that he has more new music on the way. According to the Chicago MC, he’s working on a solo album called Bully. It’s unclear exactly when fans can expect to hear it in full, though he did give them a taste of what’s to come. He played one new song from the album during the show, “BEAUTY AND THE BEAST.”

Of course, Ye’s latest announcement has social media users split. While some can’t wait to hear what else he’s been cooking up, others don’t have high expectations. Many are also curious about what this means for the next volume of Vultures with Ty Dolla Sign.

Kanye West Teases New Music At Latest China Show

Ye’s latest announcement doesn’t come entirely out of left field either, as earlier this month, leaked text messages with Digital Nas suggested that he was locked in. In the texts, the producer praised something Ye sent him and encouraged him to do whatever it took to get it onto streaming platforms. “F*cking insane bro,” Digital Nas said at the time. “I’m having chills rn listening.” In response, Kanye declared that he’s “going into [his] full Ye art studio mode.”

As for what else Ye has been up to outside of music, he recently closed a deal on his Malibu mansion. He sold the property, which he previously planned to transform into a bomb shelter, for $21 million. He first purchased the oceanfront mansion in 2021 for roughly $57.3 million. I wasn’t gone post but this was needed to be said.” Of course, supporters are flooding her comments section with congratulatory messages, and noting just how special it is that her son’s birth fell on her father’s birthday.

Several of them celebrated his legacy at a Compton street naming ceremony late last year. The NWA icon’s mother, Kathie Wright, even delivered a heartfelt speech.

“I’m so proud of everybody that’s here today,” she said. “And say I love you all and thanks so much for showing up at this presentation. The reaction to Lamar taking the headlining spot in the show hasn’t been entirely positive. Many fans have been complaining that Lil Wayne wasn’t invited, considering the game is taking place in his hometown of New Orleans. Even Master P came out on social media to suggest the league should find a way to incorporate him into the show. DJ Akademiks has also been ranting about the situation on X (formerly Twitter). In doing so, he’s accused JAY-Z of colluding to disrespect Drake and help Lamar create another event similar to The Pop Out.

Pusha T Seemingly Shades Drake With Response To Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl Announcement

Pusha T showed love to Kendrick Lamar on his Instagram Story on Sunday after the NFL announced that the rapper will be performing at the Super Bowl Halftime Show. In doing so, he shared a quote from Lamar’s announcement in which he seemingly dissed Drake. “You know it’s only one opportunity to win a championship — no round twos,” Lamar said. Drake recently teased being ready for a “Game 2” on his Instagram page.

While sharing Lamar’s remark, Pusha wrote: “This is true…” with a shrugging emoji. Pusha notably feuded with Drake as well back in 2018 with the release of “The Story of Adidon.” Lamar actually referenced that feud in his diss track, “Euphoria.” He rapped: “I don’t like you poppin’ s**t at Pharrell, for him, I inherit the beef/ Yeah, f**k all that pushin’ P, let me see you push a T/ You better off spinnin’ again on him, you think about pushin’ me?/ He’s Terrence Thornton, I’m Terence Crawford, yeah, I’m whoopin’ feet.”

Kendrick Lamar Responds To Drake In Super Bowl Announcement: “No Round 2s”

For the umpteenth time in 2024, Kendrick Lamar has stopped the hip-hop world in its tracks. He just announced on Sunday (September 8) that he will be the headlining act at the Super Bowl LIX halftime show in New Orleans on February 9, 2025. In his announcement video, K.Dot even made a cheeky and downright dismissive reference to his victory in the Drake battle that raged on just a few months ago. “You know it’s only one opportunity to win a championship. No round two’s,” he says at one point in the video linked in the post below. This, of course, electrified a lot of fans, whether they are Kendrick fans or not.

Furthermore, this “Round 2” reference is about Drake’s recent IG burner post about “winning Game 2,” which many took as a direct reference to the Kendrick Lamar battle. We don’t know what he actually meant by this, though, as a “Game 2” can mean many different things. Does the 6ix God actually plan on lyrically battling the Compton rapper again or is this more of a symbolic flex about career longevity and commercial success? After all, anyone who truly thought that the OVO mogul’s career would be over after this beef is delusional.

With all this feud discourse in mind, you can already imagine the kind of criticisms and praises that Kendrick Lamar and Drake fans are throwing out in reaction to this. When one fan gets excited about Kendrick stomping on Drizzy for the millionth time, another fan thinks that “Not Like Us” is Mr. Syrup Sandwiches’ only big hit. Nevertheless, this adds to some other teases about the former TDE lyricist’s next moves, including a possible future collab with Playboi Carti. Don’t get your hopes up, though: that’s still purely speculative as of writing this article.

Meanwhile, we can’t wait to see what Kendrick Lamar brings to the Super Bowl halftime show next year, especially as this suggests that he might drop something to pair with it. But that wasn’t the case for Rihanna, so let’s not get our hopes up. In any case, this should definitely mitigate some of the lost momentum that some people attributed to his tardiness. Whether or not any of this actually relates back to the Drake battle remains a mystery, as this announcement suggests that The Boy will be yapping to a brick wall if he tries to re-engage.
