Keyshia Cole announced her eighth studio album while paying tribute to her late mother, Frankie Lons, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles as a part of The Love Hard Tour on Saturday night. It will be her first album in nearly seven years and the first since her mother’s passing. She broke into tears while bringing up Lons on stage.

“I’m wanna say I appreciate you. If you ever bought an album,” she said. “Album eight right now on the way. I wanna give a shout out to my mom Frankie. If you watched the reality show, if you watched her: I just wanna say thank you. You helped change my life. Thank you.” She then broke into a performance of “I’ve Changed.”

In response to those calling the move disrespectful, she replied: “Degrading my mother. ? I wanted the best for my mom. You prefer my story not be my story? At times I have too. But my truth is my truth. I just live mine loud. (while some suffer in silence. But This will come wit all that I do, So speak YOUR TRUTH, but yours ain’t mine. [heart emoji]. And I’m addition to that I have recorded a record that will be in the movie dedicated to my mother. (You all may or may not like it) but….. Sharing the cover artwork on Instagram, Sunday, he confirmed that the project will be dropping at some point in 2024, but didn’t provide an exact date. “I just got a lot on my shoulder [top hat emoji] ?/?/24,” he captioned the post.

The announcement of I Just Got A Lot On My Shoulders comes just under two weeks after putting out his latest album, Compliments Of Gravedigger Mountain. Following the release of that project, YoungBoy listed his mansion in Salt Lake City, Utah for sale at $5.5 million. Outside of music, he’s currently preparing for trial in the federal gun case for which he’s been under house arrest for several years. The United States Attorney for the Middle District of Louisiana recently filed a motion claiming the rapper violated his pre-trial release conditions. “The undersigned has learned that the defendant has violated Condition Number (10) and has informed his supervising officer that he has no intentions to discontinue using the substance that resulted in the violation,” they wrote.

Moreover, in addition to Lil Durk, the one and only Lil Wayne will hit Newark’s Prudential Center with his Young Money partner to close out the journey for two nights in a row on April 4 and 5. Many die-hards in Jersey reacted with much excitement, whereas others outside the area lamented missing out on this opportunity.

Furthermore, presale tickets go on sale tomorrow (Wednesday, March 6) on Drake’s website for Cash App card members, whereas the general sale begins on Friday (March 8). However, it seems like Lil Wayne might pop out for other concerts with his desired (and purely hypothetical) Super Bowl halftime show co-performer, too. For example, the UBS Arena in Long Island posited via X that he will also perform at the March 28 and 29 tour stops there. Chris Brown Announces 2024 Tour Dates With The Help Of Ayra Starr & Muni Long

Chris Brown’s hitting the road yet again this summer, and fellow musicians Ayra Starr and Muni Long will join him on the trek. Moreover, the 11:11 tour will kick off on June 5 in Detroit, Michigan and will cover many United States cities, as well as some Canadian spots; namely Montréal (June 20), Toronto (June 22), and Vancouver (July 27). The trio will embark on this journey for about two months before wrapping things up in Los Angeles, California on August 6. For those interested, the artist presale (password SENSATIONAL) goes live tomorrow (Wednesday, March 6) at 10AM, whereas the general public will gain access to tickets on Monday (March 11) at 10AM. Both time zones for the drop are unspecified, but they are presumably Eastern Time.

Furthermore, the “BEG FORGIVENESS” singer’s special guests are dividing duties. Ayra Starr will join the tour for its first few dates, performing from Detroit to Toronto from June 5 to June 22. Then, Muni Long will hit Chris Brown’s stage for a show in Boston, and then he’ll have two solo shows in Philly and Baltimore before bringing Long back for the remainder of the July and August dates.
