Shyne Reveals Why He Didn’t Claim To See Diddy Allegedly Fire Gun During Nightclub Shooting

During a recent appearance on The Tamron Hall Show, Shyne discussed his upcoming documentary, The Honorable Shyne. The doc debuts on Hulu on November 18 and covers his life journey, transition from rap to politics, and more. It also touches on the 1999 NYC nightclub shooting involving Diddy, which he served almost nine years in prison for. Both he and Diddy were charged in the case, but Diddy was eventually acquitted.

Shyne alleges that he took the fall for Diddy, but despite this, never alleged that he saw Diddy fire the gun. “I didn’t see him fire the gun and I’m not going to lie,” he told Hall. “I don’t believe in getting my friends in trouble. At this point, I’m not going to make up anything to sensationalize my narrative because I don’t feel I need to do that. If Diddy was not incarcerated right now, my story would still be incredible.”

Shyne Admits He Didn’t See Diddy Fire A Gun

This isn’t the only time Shyne has discussed Diddy as of late, however. Recently, he also appeared on The Stephen A Smith Show, where he opened up about their relationship. “People say, ‘Oh Diddy gave me millions to go to jail,’” he alleged, “Nothing. [He] probably made two, what I thought were offensive contributions over the last 20 years.” He continued, going after Diddy’s character. “For years I was saying what a creep I thought he was […] How he destroyed my life, and at one point I thought he was the devil,” he stated.

A rep for Diddy responded to Shyne’s allegations in a statement to TMZ Hip Hop this week. “Mr. Combs categorically denies Mr. Barrow’s [Shyne’s] allegations, including any suggestion that he orchestrated Mr. Barrow to ‘take the fall’ or ‘sacrificed’ him by directing witnesses to testify against him,” they said. “These claims are unequivocally false. Mr. Combs was acquitted of all charges related to the 1999 Club New York incident and has consistently maintained his innocence. He cannot accept or condone any characterization of his actions as ‘demonic’ or ‘malicious.’”

Karlissa Saffold Delivers Update On Tia Kemp’s Son After Alleged Shooting

Recently, Rick Ross’ ex Stoni Jones took to her Instagram Story to put his other ex Tia Kemp on Blast. Jones accused Kemp of not visiting her son, who was allegedly injured in a drive-by shooting in Miami last week, in the hospital. “Her own son is shot in a drive-by shooting and she says nothing about it doesn’t show up to the hospital to be by his bedside,” she alleged. “But yet has so much to say about others.”

Jones’ accusations seemed to be in response to Kemp’s appearance on Unwine With Tasha K. While Kemp has yet to address them directly, Tasha K shut them down yesterday, insisting that she’s “been with her son the whole time.” The gossip blogger also encouraged fans to pray for Kemp’s son, who she said was “fine and recovering.”

Recently, her Aunt-Tea Podcast co-host Karlissa Saffold confirmed that Kemp’s son is doing okay following the alleged incident. “Yes I talked to Tia, I did talk to her,” she explained on Instagram Live. “Make sure y’all just say some prayers for her. The devil be busy, he be busy. [Kemp’s son] is doing well, she’s with her son. She was with her son as soon as she could possibly get there, and her son is doing fine. Praise God.”

Saffold continued, urging fans to be patient until Kemp feels ready to fill them in on what happened herself. Kash Doll recently shared a harrowing tale on social media about how her baby daddy was in a shootout with a group of people that tried to rob her home in Atlanta. She relayed that she usually doesn’t share her personal matters online, but was so outraged by her overall community situation that she had to speak out. “I’ve been violated bad,” the rapper’s story began. “Since I’ve been in Detroit, I guess people was looking at my Story and they see that I’m not home. And they found that this was the best opportunity to run inside of my house and get all of my Birkin bags in Atlanta.

“However, it’s cool, they got caught,” Kash Doll continued. “They got into a shootout with my child’s father, and the police got all of them. We ain’t took no L. It’s a celebration, but it’s also sad that it’s Black people that’s just running inside of people’s homes trying to take their things. What if my kids was there, what if my sister was there, what if my mom was there? What if he was there asleep and y’all caught him sleeping? They came in with guns! I’m putting y’all in my business today because I’m so upset [with] the community leader over in Brookhaven in the block that I stay in.

“I stay in a nice neighborhood, you know, where I’m the only Black person on my block and the youngest person on my block,” Kash Doll went on. “And this man had the audacity to go to the news. He went to the news and told them that my house is a drug house. Because it’s traffic and a lot of Black people there. He just assumed that since it’s nice cars and other Black, nice, successful people pulling up that’s entertainers, that’s friends, producers, that have nice things as well. And it’s a lot of traffic because I have two kids under two… That I have drugs in my home.

“The sacrifices I make, how hard I work, everything that I do for you to just associate me with drugs just because I’m young, Black, and successful,” Kash Doll concluded. “That’s crazy that you went to the Internet – no, you went to the news, my n***a. EST Gee’s Artist, EST Lu Mike, Dies After Louisville Shooting

EST Gee is dealing with yet another difficult loss, as recently, it was revealed that one of his artists passed away in his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky. Police were called to the 900 block of Baxter Avenue early Sunday (August 11), over reports of gunfire. Reportedly, they discovered three victims suffering from gunshot wounds, one of which had already died. The other two victims were rushed to the hospital for treatment. Sadly, another one of them passed away shortly after. The final victim is still recovering from their injuries and is expected to survive.

One of the men who passed away was identified as EST Lu Mike, a close friend of the rapper’s. At the time of writing, the circumstances that led up to the shooting remain unclear. Police have also yet to identify a suspect. News of the tragedy arrives just after another member of EST Gee’s circle, his manager EST Beach, died last month.

According to WDRB, EST Beach was found deceased in a vehicle in downtown Louisville in late July. He was only 31 years old when he was fatally shot. Beach had been in town for EST Gee’s homecoming show, EST Gee + Friends Summer Jam, which took place on July 20 and featured artists like Future, Lil Baby, 42 Dugg, and more. EST Gee has yet to address EST Lu Mike’s passing.

News of Lu Mike’s passing also comes shortly after he previewed an upcoming track on Instagram. “Every time these n***as slip then we gon’ do ’em dirty / I’m into purgin’, ain’t nothing little about this 30,” he rapped. Foolio Murder Suspect Allegedly Tried To Kill Him Previously

Late last month, police made four arrests in connection to Foolio’s murder. The rapper was shot at a Tampa Holiday Inn, where he was celebrating his 26th birthday, in June. Now, police are accusing one of the suspects of being involved in a previous attempt on Foolio’s life, dating back to October of 2023. At the time, Foolio was shot in the foot on his way to a gas station.

“It appears that the suspect or suspects were waiting for the victim and ambushed him,” the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said at the time. Sean Gathright, one of the alleged gunmen, was found with a Glock 9MM pistol, a rifle, and nine spent rifle casings in his vehicle at the time of his arrest. Reportedly, the casings matched the ones from the October Foolio shooting, as well as a separate murder in May.

Police accuse the five suspects of traveling to Jacksonville to carry out the attack. Gathright was charged with three counts of premeditated attempted murder in the first degree, two counts of murder in the first-degree premeditated with a firearm, and tampering with physical evidence. One of the other suspects, Isaiah Chance Jr., recently declared that he’ll be home soon. For obvious reasons, such as the high-quality surveillance footage released last month, social media users have their doubts. “I miss y’all and I miss the [world],” he wrote, “I’ll be home soon.” He’s facing two counts of first-degree murder premeditated with a firearm.

Chad Dillon, Co-Owner Of Lil Baby’s Seafood Restaurant, Dies After Atlanta Shooting

Last year, Lil Baby opened a new seafood restaurant in his hometown of Atlanta, The Seafood Menu Restaurant and Takeout. He worked alongside entrepreneur Chad Dillon, who also owned another local seafood restaurant called The Boiler Room as well as a nearby ice cream shop. Sadly, however, it was reported today that Dillon has passed away. Reportedly, the 33-year-old was driving around the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood yesterday (July 23) when he was shot multiple times. He later died of his injuries.

Dillon’s attorney, Malcolm Conner, confirmed his death with Atlanta News First. He added that ahead of his passing, Dillon was planning to open a Jamaican restaurant in the neighborhood. At the time of writing, the circumstances leading up to the shooting remain unclear. A suspect has not yet been revealed.
