Megan Thee Stallion

Megan Thee Stallion took the stage for the first time since Tory Lanez’s sentencing, and she had one strong message: “F*ck all my haters.”

Hot Girl Meg continued, “None of that shit you was doing or saying broke me.”

Tory Lanez‘s time behind bars for the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion will be closer to nine years instead of the previously sentenced 10. Lanez will get credit for the time served.

“Lanez will be credited for 231 days he’s already spent in jail,” court reporter Meghann Cuniff wrote on Twitter. “He gets 15% credit of 34 days. Herriford also is crediting his 40 days of house arrest, for a total of 305 days. He’ll request bail pending appeal, which will be heard Aug. 15.”

Cuniff also noted that the possibility of bail is extremely unlikely.

Tory Lanez will be behind bars for a while, serving time for his shooting of Megan Thee Stallion. Lanez’s lawyer, Jose Baez, spoke with TMZ and stated the rapper is “feeling pretty low” and is processing the sentence. He added that the Chixtape rapper would deal with the sentence as best as he could.

Baez also noted that Tory would lean on his faith in God and his fans and family’s support system. Baez also states that they are still fighting for an appeal.

Tory Lanez’s time is to be spent in a California state prison.

The verdict was delivered after a 10-minute argument by Alex Bott on behalf of prosecutors and 20 minutes of defense from Jose Baez. Judge Herriford issued the ruling.

During the hearing, Tory Lanez spoke for several minutes, according to reporter Meghann Cuniff, where he said Megan is “someone I still care for dearly to this day” and said, “the victim’s my friend.”

He also would speak about the mutual loss of their mothers. “We both lost our mothers. We would sit there and drink, and drink until we got numb,” Tory Lanez said.

Akademiks Welcomes a Lawsuit from Megan Thee Stallion: ‘I Can Say Whatever I Want’

DJ Akademiks 9 22

DJ Akademiks has seen the messages on social media requesting he be sued for his statements about Megan Thee Stallion. He welcomes a suit and offers a sharp reply: “Suck dick, all y’all.”

“Here’s the facts. I can say whatever the fuck I want,” Ak said. “Because I have an audience, that’s y’all problem. I’m upping the ante because I think people really think n-ggas like me is bitches. Bring the lawsuit or I’m going to tell y’all to suck dick every day.”

You can hear it from Akademiks below.

DJ Akademiks still isn’t convinced that Tory Lanez shot Megan Thee Stallion. Sitting with Vlad TV last month, Ak revealed that he understands the verdict but still has questions.

“I thought he didn’t do it,” Akademiks said. “I’m a little doubtful, but the verdict is the verdict. I think the people who were reporting at court at that time were biased based on what they already though.”

Tory Lanez Legal Team Says Rapper is ‘Feeling Pretty Low’

Tory Lanez is going to be behind bars for a while, serving time for his shooting of Megan Thee Stallion. He also would speak about the mutual loss of their mothers. “We both lost our mothers. We would sit there and drink, and drink until we got numb,” Tory Lanez said.

In a statement from Megan Thee Stallion, read on day one of the sentencing, the rap superstar says she cannot be in a room with Lanez and has yet to find peace.

Thee Stallion’s statement revealed that not only is she still reeling from the trauma, Lanez has yet to take responsibility for his actions. According to TMZ, Hot Girl Meg stated first, Lanez attempted to blame the system and is not attempting to use childhood trauma as an excuse.

Lanez was supposed to receive his sentence on Monday, but the hearing will continue on Tuesday as time ran over. Prosecutors want Lanez to serve 13 years.

Tory Lanez‘s legal team pushed for reduced sentencing. Instead of time in jail, Lanez is seeking probation and a drug treatment program.

Previously Lanez’s attorneys, Baez and Ed Welbourn, filed a 41-page memo detailing reasons for the shooting. The two state Lanez was battling alcoholism and included a report from a psychologist in jail citing a traumatic childhood as aiding the condition. During that childhood, his mother passed away at age 11, and living in a “crack-infested” neighborhood.

The report also states that after Lanez became successful, he leaned on alcohol and weed to deal with his past. The team also pointed to Lanez’s community service as a reason.

Akademiks Tempts Fate, Calls Erykah Badu “Ran Through”: Watch

Akademiks’ name is running wild through the news cycle today (August 9) for a multitude of reasons. There’s the confirmation that Tory Lanez leaked information about his shooting trial with Megan Thee Stallion from a judge at sentencing yesterday. We’ve also seen his hateful comments about a number of women in the music industry. To the “Cash S**t” hitmaker, Ak urged her to hit him with a lawsuit. Elsewhere, he’s been throwing shade at Erykah Badu. Of course, she’s been known to cause her haters a great deal of karmic retribution in the past.

While streaming on Rumble, the Off the Record host came across a comment encouraging “The Healer” to “work [her] magic” on Akademiks after news of the Lanez leak went public. As HipHopDX notes, the embattled media personality was obviously triggered by the discourse. He quickly turned his attention to finding flaws in Badu. “I never f**ked with Erykah Badu after she was tryna come on my show and be funny,” Ak ranted after reminding us of the time she compared him to a Tom & Jerry character in 2017.

“B**ch, I don’t f**k with you after that. Ni**a, wassup now? What we finna do? B**ch, you a old-a** h*e, just keep getting f**ked by all these young ni**as,” he continued. “How many rappers done ran through you?” Ak then asked, seemingly referencing Badu’s former romances with The D.O.C., Common, Jay Electronica, and Andre 3000. Afterward, he even went so far as to accuse the 52-year-old of attempting to hook up with the late XXXTENTACION.

Akademiks’ wrath doesn’t stop there. Earlier this month, he lashed out at Chloe Bailey over her sultry cover of Gunna’s “fukumean.” As you may recall, the R&B vocalist was romantically linked to the YSL artist before his RICO arrest last spring, and Ak doesn’t approve of Bailey’s attempt to slide back into his life now that he’s back with a hot new album. Read everything the podcaster had to say at the link below and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Tory Lanez Lawyer Claims Rapper Leaked Court Docs & Medical Info To Akademiks: Report

The saga surrounding the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion ended on Tuesday afternoon after a judge handed down a 10-year sentence to Tory Lanez. In the past two years since the shooting took place, there have been a number of narratives surrounding what happened last night. Meghan Cuniff remained diligent in her reporting through the courtroom. Meanwhile, DJ Akademiks often provided fans with insight through his livestreams where he’d recap each day of trial and provide his own analysis. However, Ak’s access to medical records and court documents has raised questions.

During a livestream yesterday, Meghan Cuniff revealed that DJ Akademiks’ actually obtained these exclusive documents from Tory Lanez. “The judge found that Lanez leaked it to Akademiks. I’m like, ‘well, Lanez own lawyer said that.’ They described that’s how it happened in the documents. So, and look, I can respect that he doesn’t want to ever reveal who gave him that document. He shouldn’t have to do that,” she said in the clip.

Akademiks Responds

In response to Meghann Cuniff’s claims, Akademiks vehemently denied that Tory Lanez provided him with any sort of information. The Off The Record host explained that he has reliable sources that he wouldn’t expose but insisted that it wasn’t anyone from Tory’s team that reached out to him. Additionally, he denied that the judge determined that Tory leaked court documents because it would’ve led to a worse sentence. He also said that Meghan Cuniff reached out to him in hopes to land an interview for her recent article titled “The History Of Tory Lanez’s False DNA Claims From DJ Akademiks To Casey Anthony’s Expert.

Cunniff’s claims relate to Akademiks’ assessment of the DNA prints on the gun. Although the report stated that the DNA tests were inconclusive, Akademiks said that Tory’s DNA wasn’t found on the weapon at all. Ultimately, it led to an explosive back-and-forth between Megan Thee Stallion and Akademiks. Meg claimed Ak was trying to spread lies about her before he fired back, suggesting that her and Roc Nation are playing a “PR game.” We’ll keep you posted with any other information surrounding the case.  Check out Akademiks’ response above.
